Name: Igarashi, Sakiko
Alias: Saki-chan (Family only)
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Height: 5'3"
Weight: 118 lbs
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Birth Date: August 7th
Birth Place: Nakano, Japan
Western Horoscope: Leo
Skills/Talents:
- Gaming
Sakiko has spent most of her youth playing video games, specifically MOBA and MMORPG's. Only in the last three years has she become extremely serious about her gaming. Because of her obsessive practice routine, in the last year, she won first place in an International competition. Sakiko has another gaming side: card games rather than those played on a screen. Once a three-time defending international champion of the game, Hazards of Nature, she now plays casual rather than competitive. - Martial Arts
Martial Arts, specifically Judo and Karate, are also a skill that Sakiko has developed. She has won six tournaments in the last two years alone, two in nationals. Despite having the honor of winning (not to mention the various awards and trophies), she continues to still train hard and does not let herself slack. This past semester, she has joined a Kendo club at school and hopes to someday add Kempo to her skill set. - Athletics
Her physique is impressive for a seventeen year old. She is in full health and can run about five miles, jump high, and has excellent hand-eye coordination. In her spare time outside of her scheduled practice for martial arts and gaming, Sakiko can be found at the school track. She has participated in almost every school sport and helped her team bring home regional championship trophies, but her best sport is by far track. However, Sakiko has no problem showing up any of her classmates or peers at any sport. Once per semester at school, she makes sure to join an extra sport outside of her martial arts just to keep herself in shape. - Musical Inclination
Thanks to her parents, Sakiko began early in her musical skill set. She started off by singing as a toddler and her mother gave her piano lessons. Once she had become adept, her father gave her cello lessons which she picked up fairly quick. Once both of these instruments had been learned, her parents gave her a choice of instrument to learn. Sakiko chose the Bass guitar. She practiced every day for several years and excelled at it. During her middle school years, she joined a school band with her best friend Haruka as the Bass guitar player and back-up vocalist. However, after Haruka's death, Sakiko no longer had the heart to play. Her love for music was lost and she quit the band. Nowadays, when her emotions and stress overwhelm her, she plays in her room and quietly sings to herself. - Supportive
There are a lot of character flaws she could work on, but one thing that no one has ever questioned is how supportive she is. She does not have many friends (quality over quantity), but the ones she does have like to brag about her. Outside of her competitive nature, Sakiko supports her friends whole-heartedly by listening to them and doing a hundred silly things to cheer them up when she can't fix it. Gods help the person that hurts a friend of hers because Sakiko is always ready to give someone a stern talking to (maybe even a good punch if they don't apologize). During group projects, Sakiko is usually the one that makes sure to bring refreshments, schedules break times, and keeps her friends in good health.

Personality: Competitive - Boastful/Arrogant - Tomboy - Loyal - Supportive - Identity Crisis
A lot of Sakiko's personality is centered around a severe identity crisis and her avoidance of properly grieving. Loss is a hard thing to accept for a teenager and she has not learned to let go of her best friend, Haruka. Strong, independent Haruka had been highly athletic and able to beat the boys at everything. The only thing Sakiko knew how to do, besides run away, was play video and card games. She was small, frightened, and sensitive.
That changed after her best friend's death. Sakiko became agonizingly aware that she was no longer anyone's side-kick. Making new friends was out of the question for her. Haruka had been her best friend and it left a hole in her. As teenagers have warped ways of handling their woes, Sakiko decided to try to become Haruka. The girl started to fake her life, that she was strong, independent, and aggressive. It was impossible to pretend she wasn't shy or a follower, but she did her best to act aggressively towards others (this aggression has developed into her competitive side that she directs only towards boys) and act "cool" and independent. On the inside, Sakiko blocked out her emotions and turned to an unhealthy obsession with competition as a way to handle her loss.
Sakiko has many character flaws, but her worst is that she is highly competitive. She has a constant need to prove to herself and others (mostly boys) that she is better than them at games and sports. However, this comes at a terrible price: Sakiko has set up an extreme practice schedule for herself. She is always locked in her room on her video games or practicing one of her athletic activities. In the last three years, Sakiko has never lost in a competition or tournament and it has made her unbearably arrogant. She is the best at her skill sets and does not let anyone forget it. Every time she wins, she becomes callous and apathetic towards her opponent. Her smugness, arrogance, and boastful attitude has earned her a notorious reputation among her classmates.
Another character flaw is her inability to face her own emotions. Her obsession with practice, training, and "being the best" began as a way to distract herself from grieving. It easily became more and she has managed to avoid the worst of her emotions for the past three years. She is controlled and disciplined in her emotions, coming across as distant and pretentious to her classmates.
However, she is one of the more loyal and supportive friends a person can find. Her loyalty to Haruka has not wavered. While her competitive nature is directed more towards boys, Sakiko is very warm and friendly towards girls. She avoided making friends for almost a year until some of her classmates volunteered to be her partner for a group study session. Two of the girls helped her through a rough patch and they bonded. Since then, Sakiko's social nature has returned. She has smiled, laughed, and done spontaneous and silly things to bring her friends happiness.
Appearance: Sakiko is physically an average seventeen year old Japanese girl. Not too tall or too wide. She has long, straight black hair and blue-grey eyes. The only distinguishing marks that she has is a three inch scar on her right forearm near her wrist and a five inch scar on the left side of her chest below her collarbone; both are from the car wreck.
Rarely does she wear dresses or skirts. It's not rebellious, she simply prefers to wear pants and shorts. She is too athletic and has a strict schedule for practice and training. Skirts and dresses are impractical. However, there are photos of her dolled up in frilly dresses when she was in middle school. These were only worn during band gigs. (Her mother has them tucked away in storage.) Since Sakiko has hardly any interest in fashion, her mother has taken the liberty of picking out her clothes when shopping and the teenager ends up wearing trendy shirts.
Personal History:
Sakiko is the only child in her family. Her mother, Yumi, was a school teacher when she met a copy editor named Masato at a local book store. The pair had a lot in common yet they dated for almost three years before getting married.
Elementary School
During her Kindergarten year in school, Sakiko tripped and fell in the mud during recess. One of her classmates helped her out of the mud and punished anyone that laughed at her. This girl was named Takahashi, Haruka. Sakiko went home early and after school, Haruka came to check on her. The two became best friends rather quickly. Haruka was a cool, independent leader that took pride in rescuing her classmates, helping the teachers, and being able to run faster and jump higher than the boys. Small, frightened Sakiko knew that her role in life was to be Haruka's side-kick. She followed her best friend blindly into adventure, always being the motherly voice of "be careful" and putting bandaids on Haruka after she finished a fight. Sakiko could not fight then and was scared of everything.
Throughout her elementary school years, her parents gave her a little extra education. They paid for music lessons (piano, then cello), taught her basic English, cooking, and sewing skills. The only thing she succeeded in were the music lessons. It was during these years that she showed a heavy interest in card games and a light interest in video games. During her last year in elementary, she was allowed to choose what instrument she wanted to play next. Sakiko chose Bass guitar and loved it so much that she practiced every day.
Middle School
In middle school, Haruka encouraged her best friend to be more social. She signed them both up for various clubs and sports, many of which they quit within the first week. The only ones that stuck were baseball and karate. Haruka even surprised Sakiko by taking her to a local Hazard of Nature card game tournament. They both played for fun, but Sakiko went much further than anticipated and was able to move on to the next rank. This was when Sakiko discovered that she was skilled at something that Haruka wasn't. However, she was afraid of being in the limelight without Haruka. Her friend easily solved this problem by going with her to each tournament. Sakiko was a success and won international tournaments two years in a row.
Outside of the card game, Haruka also convinced Sakiko to join a girl band with her. Haruka was lead vocalist and, as the ever-faithful side-kick, Sakiko was allowed to be backup vocalist and Bass guitar player. Their band was partially successful with a few gigs played at school events or local cultural festivals. Her parents came to all of their gigs to cheer her on and her mother sewed the outfits for the band.
As two-time defending champion of the internation Hazards of Nature tournament, the girls were able to go to America. They spent two weeks in San Francisco, California during the span of the tournament, escorted by their parents. With their gig becoming more well known among the locals and Sakiko having won internationals for a third time, she reached the peak of happiness.
Four months after they returned home to Japan, she and Haruka were in a terrible car accident. Sakiko had several bad wounds, a gash along her forearm from the window and another on her chest where the seatbelt had cut deep into her skin. Both Haruka (who had been in the front passenger seat) and her mother died in the head-on collision.
Haruka's death shocked Sakiko. She no longer had a leader to follow. She was a side-kick without a hero, a shadow with no form to trail after. For weeks, she locked herself up in her room and could only bring herself to play video games. Her soul seemed to have been lost because the love for music died in her. She quit the band and playing Hazards of Nature did nothing for her. Somehow, she reasoned that it was up to her to live the life that Haruka had lost. She wrote out a schedule for training and practicing. Sakiko put down the Bass guitar and the cards and began intense physical training in karate and athletic sports at school.
High School
She did not socialize in high school. The only reason she joined clubs or sports was to compete and focus on something other than her emotions. Whereas Haruka had a natural talent for athleticism and sports, Sakiko had to practice twice as hard to make up for it. Once she won the national tournament for Karate (and two regional championships), she moved on to Judo. After winning regionals in that sport, she turned her attention to video games.
By her second year in high school, Sakiko became very serious about her games. It became a new obsession, a brand new way to compete that required brains over physical training. She learned strategy, added gaming to her extreme training regime, and locked herself away in her room for days during school vacations. Once she was comfortable with her strategies, she challenged online players (usually American boys) to test them. It took her almost a year to find a strategy that worked.
Some of the girls in her class were worried about her distant, pretentious attitude and her notorious reputation for competing and boasting. They could see she was troubled and volunteered for a group project as her partners. Two out of the four became her friends. They helped her to open up and socialize a little more, encouraging her to try out for clubs. Sakiko joined again, this time as a more social player. Unfortunately, she was not a team player in spirit, but she did work hard to help her teams succeed. Volleyball, softball, and track were all sports she participated in; the only one she stuck with throughout the years was track.
Her grades have dropped to almost failing in the past year and as a result, her parents have tried to schedule sessions with a school counselor and therapists. She has refused to talk about (or face) her devastation at the loss of her best friend. Sakiko continues to be conflicted about who she is, whether she can keep up living the athletic life that Haruka would have lived. The more her friends and family try to help her, the further she buries herself into her schedule. Recently, despite her falling grades, she won nationals in Judo and an international online tournament in a FPS. This last honor has earned her a sponsorship with an Indie game company based in the UK, which she has considered accepting.

Partner’s Name: Bellatrix (Bella for short)
Default Form: Tailmon/Gatomon (Child)
Gender: Female
Alignment: Good
Skills/Talents:
- Diplomacy
In her life experience, Bellatrix has learned how to negotiate. Usually, her method is bargaining. She never threatens an opponent ("if you give me this, I will spare your life" and such nonsense), mostly because she believes that is a brutish and arrogant ploy. The feline has read many political books and practiced with small favors. In those rare times when a life is at stake, she prefers to appeal to the opposing mon's better nature and ask for mercy. She is not above begging and being humble to those with greater power and Bellatrix always pays her debts and keeps her promises. - Combat
Bellatrix was trained as a warrior. When first learning to play rough with her siblings, she quickly discovered that being the toughest meant she had to hold back on her compassion. The Tailmon has put herself through a lot of rigorous training and successfully divided her instincts from her regular personality. She has been in a lot of brawls, but Bellatrix prefers to use martial arts such as Kempo, Aikido, and Karate. - Intelligence/Wit
While she does not have much of a mind for strategy, she is very good at solving puzzles and riddles. She likes to keep her wits sharpened and reading is the best way to do this. She will pick up almost anything to read: textbooks, historical documents, DIY magazines, and even joke books. However, Bellatrix's favorite thing to read are crime novels. She also enjoys puzzle games such as crosswords, sudoku, and trivia. - Crafty
All cats are curious and seem to like shiny things. For Bellatrix, there is a much more domesticated side to her. She loves arts & crafts! This is rare for her to do because she is always traveling, but she is crafty enough to whip up a shelter out of an old jumper, clothes pins, and an umbrella. And it won't look like a temporary shelter: it will be cozy! If this Tailmon could have a collection, it would be scrapbooking supplies, journals, and lots of colorful art tools!
Personality: Nurturing - Compassionate - Aggressive - Nomad Warrior
- Nurturing
As a whole, Bellatrix's personality is similar to a house wife. She is nurturing like a mother by giving her loved ones affection, taking care of their health, supporting and encouraging them, and cleaning her current residence (however temporary) the way a mother would. She will also reprimand them, no matter how big or small. Her favorite hobbies are reading, puzzles, and arts & crafts. She dreams to one day have her own home, something that seems improbable given her current lifestyle. - Compassionate
She has a great respect for life and those around her. The world can be harsh. She understands that well, and learned of loss early in her life when her mother, Holy Dramon, died. In spite of being a warrior, Bellatrix does not enjoy fighting. She prefers diplomacy and negotiation in critical situations and is not above making her opponents think critically about her offers. Forgiveness and mercy are divine, in her opinion, and yet she is careful about forgiving others in case they attempt to fool her again. Never has she taken a life and she fully believes that there is always another way. Fighting, especially pointless brawls, are a last resort. However, she will break this rule if someone she cares for is in danger. - Aggressive
Bellatrix is far from perfect. Despite being compassionate and domestic, she can also be aggressive about life. She is a feline of action! Waiting is almost impossible for her and being reduced to a helpless damsel in distress is not her style. Thus, she must take action by solving a problem in some way or being helpful, even if it's as insignificant as feeding the babies during a village crisis! Bellatrix is also socially aggressive. She is confident enough that she will make the first move in establishing a friendship or, sometimes, pushing her friends to be more social themselves. (This is a trait that she and Haruka, Sakiko's best friend, share.) It can be overwhelming and stressful to handle this side of Bellatrix, but she will do anything for her friends--including fight and die to protect them. - Nomadic Warrior
Her life is centered around battle. She was trained from an early age and since the death of her mother, she has lost her sense of home and can only wander. Bellatrix has lived many lives and died many deaths. She is still young compared to many Digimon, but each life has taught her new lessons. She has matured and reworked her goals. Once upon a time, she sought revenge. In another life, she trained under a Kempo master. One life, she spent all of her time in the archives and libraries to learn negotiation. Each reincarnation, she has chosen to develop a new skill. But in each reincarnation, there have been difficult battles. She has fought in wars on the front lines and died alongside her friends on the battlefields. No matter what path she seems to choose, war and loss seem to surround her life. Despite this, she remains compassionate, optimistic, and does not waver from her belief that battle can be avoided with diplomacy.
Special Notes:
- Glitch'D
Bellatrix's data is glitched since her first creation. The glitch affects her egg and appearance every time that she is reborn. In order to wipe the glitch, her data would have to be completely eradicated and she could not be created again. She would be created as a new Tailmon, not as herself. Primarily, this glitch only affects her appearance and level of power: her Holy Ring, which every Tailmon should have, does not exist. It has also given her a permanent scar on her cheek, no matter what form she takes. - Gloves
Her mother/creator was a Holy Dramon, a very nurturing and loving Digimon. Bellatrix knew as a Nyaromon that she was born different because of her glitch and her mother did not want to make her feel insecure. Therefore, when she digivolved into Tailmon for the first time, Bellatrix was allowed to copy a minor amount of data from her mother. The Holy Dramon data took the form of clawed gloves: pink with powerful claws and black stripes. (The gloves do not give her an added boost, only the normal amount of power as an average Tailmon's SaberLeomon gloves.)
