[HUNT]
"So you're saying that you are a digital monster, or digimon for short?"
"Yep."
"And you're saying this entire place is the digital world, a parallel world overlaying our own which was created with the advent of the internet?"
"Yep..."
"And you're also saying I'm here because I'm some sort of 'chosen one' destined to determine the future of this world?"
"You got it Shawty."
Serenity sighed. "Well, I'm done, it was fun while it lasted guys but I'm calling Jarvis and telling him to get me the hell out of here." She searched her pocket, withdrawning her phone, or at least what had been her phone. "Ah dammit! I forgot my phone got swapped with this stupid toy."
PlatinumSukamon leaned over, looking at the device. "Wait...isn't that?"
"A xros loader, the sign of a General? Sure is." Numemon cut in, putting a nubby arm to what appeared to be his chin. "Looks like Shawty is the real deal."
"Wait, you know what this thing is?" Serenity pointed quizically at the device. "So, what does it even do besides look silly?"
The Numemon placed an eyeball near the loader. "Well, if memory serves you can use it too perform Digixros. A legendary power said to rival even the Royal Knights."
Serenity tilted her head, genuinly curious. "Legendary power? So, how does this digixros work?"
Numemon shrugged, or did the closest he could manage to said gesture. "Hell if I know, I think it's some sort of interperative dance or something."
"Well...alot of good that does me." She said, looking at her feet. She stopped, noticing a light in the tunnel which for a long while was only lit by the small lights on the ceiling.
"We're here Shawty, welcome to the Binary Archipalego."
Serenity rolled forward, finding the pipe ending and leading out into a beautiful ocean. The green digital water fell out into a brilliant blue ocean of ones and zeros. To the side a stretch of sand marked a beach. and many small islands which dotted the horizon.
"So, that's why it's called the Binary Archipelago." She said, noticing even a few of the islands were shaped like ones and zeros.
"Yep, nice place. Now about that reward you promised me?" numemon rubbed his stubby arms together eagerly.
"Ehem, I do believe I said you needed to get me to the Archipelago, not just look at it."
Bling looked down. "But, how are we gonna get down there?"
Serenity smiled. "Easy. Slug creature, jump down there."
Numemon looked at her oddly, but complied none the less, hoping down and bouncing upon impact. Getting back up and rubbing his head.
"Now catch me." Serenity rolled herself backwards, preparing before spinning the wheels as fast as she could and flinging the wheelchair forwrd, vaulting from the pipe. Numemon paniced, trying to place himself right before the chair slammed onto his head, his squishy body breaking the impact as Serenity landed without trouble. She rolled off of the dazed Numemon, fixing her hair. "There, was that so hard?"
Behind her, Bling hesitatly jumped, thwacking his head on a rock but otherwise making it to the beach in one piece.
"Now, if I'm stuck here I'm going to at least make it bearable. I'll need you two to construct a shelter. It must have a bed, a wash, and indoor air conditioning, and I expect it done within the next few hours." Serenity put a hand to her chin. "I suppose a beachside condo should do for now."
"But, we don't have any materials, how are supposed to build it?" Bling asked, hopping up beside the woman.
Serenity waved him off. "Not my problem, go find them or whatever you do to build things. Numemon, you push my chair, I'd like to spend the meantime taking a stroll along this beach."
Numemon walked up behind the chair, which was far taller than he was. "Sure thing Shawty, but uh, about that swimsuit?"
"Yes yes, later. First I require a condo. Now start pushing."
---------
Hours later
"So uh....can we take a break for a little while Shawty?" The Numemon said, sweating profusely in the heat as he pushed the wheelchair.
Serenity sat fanning herself with a palm leaf. "I don't see a condo, do you? Honestly at this point I'd even settle for a two bedroom." She scoffed at the notion. "Imagine, me living in such poverty. I swear it's like the two of you want me to freeze to death. now keep pushing!."
Numemon grumbled. "Uh, fine, but after this I better see you in that swimsuit!"
Suddenly, Serenity thwacked Numemon on the head, causing him to stop. "Hey, what was that fo-"
He saw it then, lying on the beach with a pair of sunglasses catching some rays was a blue skinned woman. Her features resembled those of a fish, and she appeared to be wearing some sort of bathing suit.
Numemon's eyes turned to hearts and his oversized tongue fell out like a dog in heat. "Now that is one sexy sea shawty right thur, ain't she Shawty. Shawty?"
'Shawty' was staring at the sun tanning babe even more than Numemon was, a small line of droll falling from the corner of her mouth.
"Uh, Shawty? You there? Hello, digiworld to Shawty! Do you copy?"
Serenity shook her head, fixing herself quickly. "Uh, yes, I think we should....approach that young woman. She may know a good place to stay. yes, that's what I was considering."
"Suuuure, whatever you say Shawty." Numemon rolled his eyes, steering the chair towards the woman, PlatinumSukamon following close behind as he too proved to be sweating profusely.
"Um, hello, my name is Serenity, who might you be?"
The woman removed her glasses, looking up at the girl with a raised brow. "Ranamon..... and what kind of digimon are you supposed to be?"
"She's no digimon, she's a human!" Numemon said, jumping out from behind the chair.
The newly identified Ranamon leaped up from her spot in the sand. "Ah, gross! Get away from me icky trash digimon!"
"Oh no, you've made her mad." Bling muttered, peaking from behind the chair.
"Ah, more of them! I'll wash you all away!" The Ranamon reached towards the ocean, pulling the water towards her as it gathered in an orb, ready to fight.
"Oh well, it appears she can't be reasoned with." Serenity said, inspecting her nails. "You two, go fight her or whatever."
"Whippin' Waves!" The Ranamon yelled, flinging the water at the Numemon, who took the hit about as well as a fat guy takes having his last chocolate cupcake stolen.
Bling was next in line, leaping, or rather slowly hopping, into action.
"Metal Bomber!" The digimon spat out what appeared to be a large cannon ball, which flew about 4 feet before falling into the sand in front of the Ranamon, doing absolutly nothing.
Serenity facepalmed. "Oh, come on! I could literally do better than the two of you are doing right now and my F*CKING LEGS DON'T EVEN WORK! What is the deal!"
Numemon got up, sputtering and spitting out water. "Shawty, why do you think we're called trash digimon. We can't fight, never could, it's how we're made. You have to use digixros!"
Serenity crossed her arms. "...and HOW exactly do you expect me to do that? You said yourself you don't know how it's done."
The Ranamon dove after PlatinumSukamon, kicking him skyward and blasting another jet of water at him as he landed a few yards away.
"I dunno, you're the chosen one right? Just feel it out! Like, find a power from deep within yourself and OW-" Numemon yelped as the Ranamon planted a foot into the side of his head.
"Wait....I think I feel something. Like a force, building up from deep in m chest." Serenity placed a hand on her chest.
"Good oof! Now just let it free-ah! Doh!" The Ranamon now had the slug held up by one of his eye stalks, and was repeatedly punching him in the face.
"Yes, I can feel it coming...it's rising up out of me and-UUUUURRPPP!" The woman placed a hand to her mouth as she belched loudly. "Oh, Excuse me, that was very unlady-like."
"Ow! Now is not the time, she's kicking my ass, you need to use digixros!"
Serenity sighed. "Numemon...PlatinumSukamon....Digixros just isn't going to hap-"
A harsh light cut her off as the two beaten digimon suddenly flew towards each other like magnets, colliding together in a bright flash. As the light died down, a new, far less icky figure stood. It was green and robotic, with what appeared to be mirrors on each hand, along with one for what appeared to be it's face.
"Mercuremon!" It spoke, striking a pose.
Serenity slapped her forhead. "Are you kidding me? I just had to say it? No inner power, no special state of mind, you just say digixros and boom, stuff happens."
The new Mercuremon shook wagged it's finger at the confused Ranamon. "You are a mighty foe Ranamon, but you shall pay for you're aggression against milady. I, Mercuremon, the warrior of steel, shall insure you are properly punished for this act of heresa-"
Mercuremon's speech was cut short as another blast of water catapulted him across the sand, hitting a rock and seperating in another flash into PlatinumSukamon and Numemon once more.
"Well, last time I ever rely on those two idiots." Serenity deadpanned. "Wait a second, maybe we're going about this the wrong way. She may be strong but she's still a girl, which means..."
She turned back to the still dazed Numemon. "Numemon! 'Sea Shawty' here needs to reapply her sunscreen, give her a hand!"
Somehow understanding the meaning behind those words, Numemon grinned creepily before leaping at the Ranamon. She prepared to block whatever strike he would lead with before countering with her own, but didn't expect what happened next.
An enormous tongue flew out of the slug creature's mouth, smacking the surprised Ranamon dead in the face and knocking her over. As she fell, Numemon continued his assault, licking every inch he could find as the fish girl futily tried to stop him.
"Kyaaaa! Get off me you creepy pervert! St-stop! I'm sensative there..Noooo!"
Serenity rolled up, a smug look on her face as she stood over her defeated advisary.
"M-make him stoooop!" The Ranamon cried out, covering whatever she could but failing to protect it from Numemon's unusually skilled tongue.
Serenity smirked. "Swear allegiance to me. Pledge your eternal servitude and promise to follow my every order from this day forward, and I might call him off."
Ranamon now stood against a rock, her hand and foot barely holding back the Numemon as his tongue flicked meer inches away from her face. "Fine, I swear I swear! just get him off meeeeee!"
Serenity snapped her fingers. "Down boy, let her up, you can molest fish women some other time."
The Numemon stopped, appearing a bit saddened as he shuffled over to Serenity's side.
"Well then, are you going to follow through with our agreement, or do I have to sick him on you again?"
Ranamon waved her hands. "NO! No no no no no, Yggdrasil no. I'll do whatever you say just keep that thing away from me!"
Serenity smiled. "Glad we understand each other. Now, for your first order, bring us to a suitable shelter for the night. Oh and push my chair, Numemon is far too short to do it properly."
The Ranamon let out a breath of relief. "Ok, I'll take you back to my place, it's not too fancy but it should be enough for the night."
Serenity snapped her fingers as Numemon jumped to her side, tongue at the ready. "Ehem, you are to address me as Mistress from now on, are we clear fish girl?"
Ranamon sighed. "Yes, Mitress." She walked over to the girl, taking the back of the chair and leading it towards the mainland.
"Thank you dear, I believe this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship." Serenity said with a smile.
