It seemed Brad's attack had hit its mark. Kiwimon was sent flying into the air, but it seemed he quickly regained control, turning to strike at him. He scoffed at his weak attack, but it made him distracted from the main combatant- Firamon.
Brad flinched as Firamon's attack hit Kiwimon. He had been slightly worried that the nasty bird had been destroyed, but, thankfully it did what Brad had wanted - realize the fight was futile and flee.
Then Firamon, in a kind of ending flourish, set fire to a piece of driftwood before de-digivolving to Leormon as Kiwimon ran away. Brad smiled, taking a few deep breaths to relax.
"Heh, and you're one of the hottest" Brad said, then realized with a start that this could be taken the wrong way. "Er, I mean in that you evolve to Firamon... and are physically quite hot, not that other type that... eh, oh dear" he chuckled, blushing at his little faux pas.
"Yes, let's roast the fish" he agreed, quickly agreeing to carry the fish over to the burning driftwood while it was still hot enough to cook, hoping that mistake might be forgotten.

Leon would blush as Brad had told him that he was one of the hottest. The small bear would then begin to defend his statement realizing what he had said might have came out wrong.
A laugh would escape the lion as he walked over to Brad placing his paw on his shoulder. “Don't worry Brad i know what you was trying to say.” The lion would walk to the fire placing a couple fish over it to roast.
There was a salty savory smell aromatically bringing his nose to ecstasy. His mouth would begin to drool as he watched steam rise up from the fish.
The lion would look up at his newfound friend as he was carrying more fish to the fire. “Listen Brad I really appreciate you helping me out today. Your actions have granted you a permanent place in my heart, you are a great friend.”

Brad grinned and nodded as Leon understood what he meant. Honestly, after that battle just now, the Bearmon was feeling very good that he knew another digimon as such a friend in this way. While Brad was generally friendly to all and got by as best he could in this changing world, he had felt a little bit lonely at being unable to bond with another digimon. But that was before now.
And so he paid attention to the cooking. He laid the fish out on the burning driftwood, the oils sizzling merrily. Further to that, Brad added some salt from the sea to them, bringing out a wonderful savory flavor.
As Leon said his words, Brad listened and felt joy rise in his chest. "I think the same of you, Leon" he answered, gently. "Somehow I'm really glad I met you today. And... I'd be honored if we can have more adventures together".
Brad wanted to learn more about his new friend, what experiences he had, what his thoughts were on the future of the digital world. Perhaps this was what it was like to meet a true friend? The mutual feeling of being happy around another?
Soon, after a few minutes, the fish smelled absolutely delicious. To take them off the fire, Brad reached into a pouch he wore on his back and took out a long metal fork, skewering the fish and taking them off the driftwood. He held the fish up to cool in the strong sea breeze.
"Here you are. Hope you enjoy" he said, holding out the fork for Leon to pluck off a fish when it was cool enough.
