Majiramon, in his drowsed state, had failed to notice either Rinji or the Relemon for the time being. The draconic Digimon was instead far too busy running his claws through the top layer of his treasure pile, the jingling easily drowning out what little sound was produced in comparison by the intruders. By the time Rinji had caught up to the baby Digimon there were still no signs that they were in any direct danger, the master of the domain only minding his own business which was going on in front of him. Aside from the occasional mumble escaping him, the Majiramon was completely caught up in his own little world, only to be rudely pulled back to reality: Relemon, curious as she was failed to see the gravity of the situation and couldn't help but cry out in awe at the sight of so much wealth at one place. He immediately turned around as smoke erupted from his nostrils. If by chance they had been hidden from his gaze, the towering dragon slowly made his way back towards the lake to inspect for the source of the noises.
"INTERLOPERS! DON'T THINK YOU HAVE ANY OTHER WAY TO END UP BUT ANOTHER TROPHY TO BE ADDED TO MY HOARD!" Pipmon flinched, the thundering voice piercing through the cavern system almost as clear as if he were standing right next to the source. And he was well aware what this source was, and what it could do to put pressure behind those threats. Rushing back to what he remembered to be the entrance to the underground lake, the rat soldier quickly took a peek inside: The Majiramon -his horns now a radiant beacon of light- slithered around the pillars in his search for whomever had invoked his wrath. Once again Pipmon could make an educated guess who this might have been. Part of him was screaming that the smartest move would be to walk away now, or scratch that, run. The odds of this Digimon being capable of listening to reason were against him, and even if he did listen there was no telling if he wanted to let them all go in the end. But he knew that despite all this or perhaps because of it, he wouldn't run. Odds were something to be beaten, and when there were lives in the balance he could not afford to be selfish. However, how to go about this was going to be a tough one, and so the first thing he tried to do was spot both the Scolomon and Relemon. When he failed to notice them he knew there was only one thing he could do. A sharp inhale followed by a unbearably loud screech echoed through the lair, instantly catching the attention of Majiramon.
...
All he could do now was wait, and hope he had bought them some much needed time.
