Just off from the binary archipelago a hotel had just opened ran by an all digimon staff. The night of the grand opening there was a tamer visiting the hotel that met a catastrophic fate. This was a difficult job, but there was only one mon capable of doing the job. Who ya gonna call? Gh-oh yeah that adventurous lion Leon. The lion walked with his head held high proud of the fact that he had gotten the call to come, and investigate this case. This was a special case for the digital world because it was a human who met a dire end. If a digimon had experienced death it would just be reborn thus restarting the life process it was in their nature. Departing from Rustport Town he invested some time into finding a Sherlock esque hat to really match the mood. Along the journey he began to ponder who could’ve done the deed, and who all was present. All of his thoughts were just speculation now because he didn’t have any information other than there was a murder. One thing was definitely going to happen with this investigation, and that was that he was going to solve it.
His journey finally brought him to the Binary archipelago where he now stood in front of a large building that appeared to be made of driftwood. Despite the rustic exterior the place appeared to be a great place to vacation. The lion then thought of the fun times that he had in the archipelago with his new buddy Brad. A smile would form on his face, and he would quickly shake it off; “no, you can’t be thinking about stuff like that Leon we have to figure all of this out.” The lion slowly walked into the hotel, and was greeted by the receptionist causing a blush to form across the face of the lion. The digimon that was hostess for the resort was none other than Ranamon whose beauty was well known throughout the digital world. The Ranamon wouldn’t hesitate to greet the young pride. “Hello there darlin welcome to Driftwood Resort; sorry to inform ya, but we are closed due to unforeseen reasons.” The lion would nod his head; “Yes, I am well aware of the unforeseen reason, and I was sent here to solve this issue. I am sorry to rush this conversation, but I would like to speak with the manager of this resort to get information that may lead to the capture of the culprit.”
The Ranamon would motion to the young lion pride leading him into the back portion of the resort where the office’s were located. She then knocked on one of the doors, and they walked inside; “Excuse me Mr. Chuumon we have this here detective coming to talk to you about the incident.” The big cheese would leap from his tiny chair, and would look up at the lion with a sly smirk on his face. “Sheesh, it's about time they sent someone out here to check into all of this. You have one human die in your resort, and it just seems to kill the flow of business if ya know what I mean.” Leon wasn’t too fond of how lightly the small mouse was taking this whole situation. Forcing himself to mask his emotions he would sigh; “Mr. Chuumon my name is Leon, Detective Leon. I was contacted by Floramon the digimon partner of the victim, and she has contracted me to find her partner's killer. What I am going to need from you is your full cooperation, and support. I need a list of all of your visitors, and all of the employees you had working on that tragic night. Also, I would like to search the room where the crime had taken place.”
The Chuumon would nod, and would pull out a piece of cheese quickly devouring its contents. The small mouse of talk muffled with a mouthful of cheese; “Anything you need we will oblige, give this mon the info he desires Ranamon.” The water goddess would nod, and would walk out of the office towards a filing cabinet pulling out a folder handing it to the young mon who would take it firmly in his mouth, and would make his way to a pillow in the corner beginning to sift through the information. From what the paperwork was showing him there were four employees who were working on the night of the murder the first was the very greeter who greeted him Ranamon. The second was a custodian named Pumpkinmon who was said to have taken out the garbage on the floor the murder took place on. He could be identified as a potential suspect because he has keys to access any room in the resort. The third was the owner of the resort the very Chuumon he had just spoken to about attempting to find the killer. He seemed to take the situation as a bit of a nuisance, but took it half heartedly so he was a suspect regardless. The fourth subject was the cook that was providing the food for all of the guests staying in the resort a redvegiemon that just seemed to be a bit of a hot head. He could’ve used food to poison the guest leaving no trace of him having any ties to the event he was also a suspect.
The lion made his way to the room where the murder had taken place. Looking around the area he noticed that there was sinders surrounding the area the girl had slept. Now that he had examined the room for clues he was going to interview the chuumon once again. He made his way into the office looking at the small rat. “So Chuumon what were you doing on the night of the murder?” The small mouse would laugh as the young rookie questioned his character. “If I was the cause of the young girl's death why would I be so generous in letting you have free range to my facility. This fiasco is killing my business, and I am not one to commit financial suicide. That night I was working on the books keeping things running smoothly ya know.” The mouse would huff, and make his way back to his seat.
“Sorry for wasting your time,” the lion would mutter as he walked out of the office. He made his way slowly down the hall pondering his thought about the whole situation. Leon had deduced that Chuumon couldn't possibly be the culprit primarily because it is the cause of his businesses financial downfall. The lion couldn't let his mind dwindle on the failure of his first interrogation. He still had more people to talk to, and eliminating suspects is moving him closer to a conclusion. The next person he wanted to get in touch with was Redvegiemon the cook. The lion made his way into the kitchen where he smelled a delicious aroma radiating throughout the heated room. As the lion approached all he saw was a barrage of food flying overtop of a red hot grill. “Excuse me mister Redvegiemon, but what were you doing on the night of the girl's death?” The plant digimon seemed to ignore Leon all together.
The lion began to get angry, and roared at the plant “answer me!” The plant turned to face the lion “Get out of my kitchen I am always cooking.” The lion would then cock his head to the side to try to deduce the situation. “So you never were around the girl?” The vegetable digimon would begin to get agitated by the noticeable vein on his forehead. “No what use do I have killing a human? Not like I could cook them, and serve them they smell disgusting.” The lion then walked out of the kitchen looking over the information that he had just gathered. Judging by the fact that the vegiemon seemed to be obsessed with cooking, and nothing but cooking. So how could he possibly have any free time to commit the crime so that ruled him out of being a suspect. The lion then looked over his list only having two more options; he decided it to be wise to go speak with Ranamon the hostess. He made his way to the front where the female aquatic digimon stood. ”Ranamon, what were you doing on the night that the female tamer met her tragic demise?”
The Ranamon smiled, and winked at the young lion. “Well doll I was really tied up with all of the guests that were checking in it's a full time job tending to the guests.” The small lion pride nodded, and made his way to the groundskeepers room in the corner stood a Pumpkinmon hunched over in the corner. Leon slowly approached the pumpkin puppet, and began to speak; ”Pumpkinmon what were you doing on the night of the young tamers death?” The puppet began to fidget, and sweat began to bead up on his brow. “I-I-I was taking out the trash making sure the place stayed clean.” The young lion could see that the pumpkin digimon seemed to be hiding something. “All night to remove garbage thats insane! What happened to the girl fess up I am a holy beast digimon I can tell when I am being lied too!” The pumpkin turned flush, “Alright I did it okay leave me alone!” The lion would roar, ”Why would you do something so horrible to a little girl!” The pumpkin would begin to cry burning tears. “Because she was upsetting my darling Ranamon! She kept calling, and annoying her I couldn’t bear to see her upset so I ended it.” The lion would move closer to the pumpkin, and would detain him. The cinders that I found in the room of the female tamer were none other than the tears you released when you were killing her; you were the enforcer, but you were being manipulated by none other than Ranamon.”
The lion escorted Pumpkinmon out front where Ranamon’s expression would begin to grow dark. “Ranamon seems the culprit all along was Pumpkinmon he has given a full confession.” A cynical smile then began to sweep across the face of the aquatic digimon. “That’s great darlin’, glad you nabbed the killer.” The lion would smirk, “That would be the case if he was the only one involved right Ranamon? That young girl kept calling the front needing assistance, and you had pumpkinmon kill her!” “Why I would never!” She would retort. “You are just as guilty as him because he would do anything for you Ranamon! You are a murderer admit it!” The lion continued to apply pressure to the sea creature until she broke her facade. ”Yes, I had this imbecile kill that little runt because she was making my first day far too difficult! I hate those spoiled little brats that call themselves digidestined!”
The lion quickly detained her, and smiled. ”Case Solved!”
