Night on the Town [Bone|Invite]

Post by Colin, Luke & Bellamy on Mar 23, 2017 4:00:43 GMT
As Colin and his twin partners Luke the Elecmon and Bellamy the Impmon awaited the landing in Whitewater city aboard their mercenary AirVessemon, Colin was reading a brochure that interested him. The brochure in question was all about the Caritas Nightclub - a place that he realized he had never visited before. In fact, as a 13 year old, Colin hadn't visited any nightclub, really, but, in the digital world; with a Perfect level mercenary and partners, well, he felt like he might be entitled to just a little bit of adventure, perhaps? Of course if his sister Sophie caught wind of any of this, he would be yelled at. But hopefully she wasn't anywhere near the town. Of course, Colin wasn't planning on misbehaving or drinking or anything like that, but, he basically wanted to see what was in this kind of place. "Hey, guys" he said, as AirVessemon made the final approach into the Whitewater Airship bay. His partners looked at him. "What do you think about having a look at the Caritas tonight?"
"What I think?" Bellamy repeated. "I think it's about goddamn time we went there!" his tail flicked a little with excitement. "Heh, well, it's a good venue" Luke said, speaking a bit more moderately. "But yeah, if you wanna go there, we'd be happy to come along". "Obviously there may be some commotion if I went" AirVessemon admitted through his in-built PA system. Colin snickered, understanding that fitting a 75m machine digimon in that club may cause some problems. "That's okay" he said. "Well then, let's take a look there, eh?"And so, a few moments after finishing the landing, Colin returned AirVessemon to his DigiMemory and walked through the city with his partners. Bellamy was wearing a tropical shirt again, while Luke was content to wear a dark blue t-shirt to match his light blue scarf. It was definitely warming up in the city now that winter had passed, meaning Colin himself was dressed in a black t-shirt and cargo shorts. And so, as the sun set, they made their way to Caritas, wondering what they would find there. Elliot and Isaac Sunderland

One of the things inside of Caritas was very loud music, as an uncomfortable looking Strikedramon was quickly finding out. "Are all nightclubs this loud?" he asked the Yasyamon sitting next to him, barely audible over the bass that throbbed through the air.
"Hey, it's good for our cover," the Yasyamon replied, the hollow tone to his voice at least helping it echo around the music. "Besides, if we're gonna be on stakeout, we need to keep our focus. This kind of music's gonna keep our eyes open for sure." That is, of course, if the flashing lights didn't already do it. Caritas was one of the flashiest places in the Digital World, and while that was great for keeping a pair of would-be sleuths awake it also opened the door for plenty of distractions. "I dunno. I think it's kinda nice in here. What do you think, Elliot?"
"I think my head's killing me," Elliot said, gently placing a hand to the metal plate atop Strikedramon's head. "How do people do this all day?"
"Probably just get numb to the loudness of it all after a while," Isaac responded. "I mean, heck, I'm numb to your gaming by now from how often you do it. It's the same kind of thing, right?"
"Yeah, I guess you're right. So, what do we do now?"
"We blend in." As if on cue Isaac got up and headed towards the crowd, melting in seamlessly. Before Elliot even realized what was going on, he was gone.
Not much for dancing himself, Elliot closed his eyes and tried to envision who they were looking for. Spiky fur. Never seen without a weapon. Biped. Rarely found alone. The details were a little fuzzy, but surely he'd find his target soon!

The first thing they found out about the Caritas was that it was loud.
"This... can't be healthy" Luke said as they approached, the thumping music within hurting his eardrums. He decided to solve this by stuffing earplugs into his ears, knowing well that damage can occur from prolongued exposure to loud noises. Bellamy meanwhile was enjoying it.
"Ah nevermind, bunny-boy, I always said your ears were too big for your own good" the Impmon said, patting his brother's back, thinking he couldn't hear him.
"You did not, you only said that just now" Luke retorted. "What do you think, Colin?"
"Well..." Colin hesitated before he entered. "It's going to be about 7 years until I'm allowed to step into one on Earth, so, why not? Let's do this"
The three entered the nightclub, seeing it starting to fill with various digimon, and a few nameless humans. They noticed a small crowd of revellers.
"So what do we do now?" Colin asked unsurely.
"What?!" Bellamy asked, saying the word that was most used in such a place.
"I said what do we do now?!" Colin repeated, louder.
"Heh, well, Col, the first thing ya do is get a drink!" Bellamy said, crossing the floor to the bar. While Colin was momentarily alarmed that he'd get him something alcoholic, he returned with a little non-alcoholic milkshake.
"I know ya can't drink the adult stuff, don't worry, squirt" the Impmon said, sipping his creme de month. "So then when we mellow out a bit, and get our bearings, we mingle and see if we can get Luke a cute digimon for him to chat up"
"H-hey! Did you lead us in here so you can play matchmaker for me?!" Luke asked, trying to sound outraged but didn't look it.
"What?!" Bellamy asked. Luke just rolled his eyes and rolled with it, sipping his drink. The three of them sat at a table near the dance floor, Bellamy tapping his foot to the beat.

(Sorry for the delay! Finally thought of what I wanted to post without it seeming too forced or anything) When Elliot opened his eyes again, Isaac was still gone. In fact, he seemed to have been completely swallowed up by Caritas' crowd of partiers, not a single trace of the Yasyamon visible. Elliot let out a despondent sigh as he realized this. They were supposed to be sticking together here, yet in his haste to get information Isaac had completely split the party. Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if Elliot actually liked nightclubs, but instead it was just disorienting him. Being stuck in a Digimon form for a good while, even one as comfortable as Strikedramon, didn't help things. Sometimes Elliot just wanted to be Elliot.
He patrolled the edge of the party like a shark. If he made his way to the dance floor he would've been swallowed up and jostled relentlessly. That was not how Elliot wanted to spend his day. Maybe if he just kept it subtle and waited by the sidelines he'd have success, covering the areas Isaac missed while being in the thick of things.
What was that he was looking for again? Right, right. Spiky fur. Biped. Weapon. Kinda beastly. Long ears. A few more details were coming into the picture, but it wasn't adding up. He wasn't envisioning a Digimon so much as a floating mass of parts, all just drifting around in his brain and trying to form into a single cohesive picture. He'd have to find something that jogged his memory soon, right?
Eventually he did. An Elecmon. A bipedal one, too. That was significant! And it had long ears, and spiky quills on its tail, and it was definitely a beast. Briefly Elliot perked up in recognition, thinking he'd found their man. However, upon noticing a distinct lack of any weapon on its person, he realized he had made a mistake.
Then again, he didn't remember the guy they were chasing being a Rookie, either. Or with another Rookie. And . . . with a kid? Hold on, that didn't add up. Why the heck was someone his age in a nightclub like this? Not even in Digimon form, either, but just flat out walking around in human form. He approached slightly, turning to the kid. "Hey," he said. "Are you old enough to be in here?" His voice didn't have the sternness of a bouncer doing his job, but instead legitimate curiosity.

Colin heard the sharpness of the voice addressing him over the noise of the music. He gasped and instantly felt a little like he probably shouldn't be here.
"Well he's older than us if that's anythin' to take account of" Bellamy's voice said loudly back, grinning. He took in the form of the Strikedramon that was asking them this, he seemed to be a bouncer of sorts. Bellamy thought he was trying to get them turfed out, but he hoped maybe some old charismatic charm might deal with this?
"Hey do you work here?" he asked, still grinning. At least that would confirm if he had any kind of authority or not as a bouncer. That, he felt, was important to the situation at hand here.
Luke, meanwhile, seemed a little unnerved by the way this Strikedramon was acting. Like, he may not be very old, but, he was aware at least that this Strikedramon didn't seem to be acting like a typical independent digimon. It seemed he was a little more together than that. A little bit, may he daresay... like a human?
"So hey" the Elecmon said to him. "Have you heard of these Spirit Wielders showing up around the world lately?" he asked, mainly to gauge a reaction.
Colin meanwhile was still looking worried. "Um, do I have to leave this place now?" he asked, hoping he wasn't breaking any rules in being here.

Older than a Digimon. That made sense, presuming these were the human's partners. It brought up a lot of curiosities that Elliot had about Digimon aging, though. They seemed so much more mature than the average human of their age, and if anything seemed to grow more mature whenever they Digivolved. Some even reverted back to immaturity after de-Digivolving! It was seriously weird, and one of the many mysteries of this world that Elliot wished he could decipher.
That said, perhaps his entrance was a bit too impromptu. The Impmon of the group, or at least what looked to be an Impmon, was already slyly trying to scope him out. Meanwhile, the Elecmon looked unnerved and the human looked worried. Did they think they were in trouble or something? Oh, he really should've worded that better! Immediately he tried to make himself look smaller, and if he had visible eyes the worry in them would be shining clearly. "Oh! No, no, not at all!" he said. If before his voice was mature enough to be mistaken for a bouncer, now Elliot's nervous tone was clearly leaking through. "I'm so sorry, I really didn't mean to give you the wrong idea there. I mean, I don't even work here, so . . ."
It didn't seem like he gave the wrong idea for long, though. Between the Impmon being on the ball and the Elecmon's "subtle" question, it was clear they cottoned on to him not really being a Digimon. Thankfully, Elliot didn't really intend on having anything to hide. "Heard of them? Heck, I am one," he said, relieved to be able to get this off of his chest. "My brother and I were trying to find someone, so he suggested we stake them out here. He figured since we'd be too young to come in otherwise, it'd be a good idea to go incognito in our spirit forms. But then I saw you walking around and wondered if I could turn back to normal. Catch my breath for a bit."
He paused for a minute, realizing after that he was missing something. "My name's Elliot, by the way. What's yours?" he asked.

Luke, Colin and Bellamy all relaxed a little when the Strikedramon assured them that he wasn't a bouncer. Probably some digimon that just wanted to say hello. Bellamy's ego pulsed a little. Of course, what with the name they've been making for themselves in the world, they'd obviously better get used to kinda being a bit famous.
"So you'd like an autograph, or...?" the Impmon asked, matter-of-factly. Luke shot him a warning look and turned back to the Strikedramon. Or, at least, the spirit-wielding human that was currently in the form of a Strikedramon.
"Ohh you're a spirit-wielder?" Colin asked, coming quickly to the conclusion. "Hiya, Elliot, I'm Colin" he said. "Ahh, okay, so you have a brother too? Nice".
Well, this was certainly a surprise. "Heh, I thought that since most of the digimon here probably wouldn't mind seeing a human around we could just enter anyway" he said. "But I won't be drinking anything alcoholic obviously".
"I on the other hand..." Bellamy said, returning from the bar with a creme-de-month.
"Bellamy, really...?" Colin asked, a little exasperated. Well, he supposed he had a right to if he wanted to. Luke meanwhile decided to introduce them as well.
"I'm Luke and this is my twin brother Bellamy" the Elecmon said. "So, you're trying to find someone, right? Anything we can do to help?" he offered. Colin nodded, indicating he'd like to assist as well. Bellamy just shrugged nonchalantly.

"Auto . . . graph?" Elliot asked. Harsh, but at least he was earnest instead of insulting in his complete ignorance as to who the trio were. "Are you guys traveling heroes too? I'm sorry if I didn't realize!"
At least it sounded like he wouldn't get kicked out by a bouncer if he traded forms for a bit. He let out a sigh, a white light surrounding him in perfect tempo with his relief. By the time the light faded away Elliot was standing where Strikedramon was before. Finally, someone even shorter than Colin going on these adventures! "Yep! I'm a spirit user," he said, straining slightly to try and keep his voice raised over the overpowering music. "Does your brother also go to the Digital World with you?"
Upon hearing Colin's answer, Elliot found himself wondering how age stuff even worked in the Digital World. "You know, how would they even card us?" he asked. "Would it be because we look more like Rookies than Champions, or something like that? Does it mean your Digimon could just Digivolve and look big enough for a drink? What about biowhatsit or whatever that mergey thing is called?" Maybe Elliot should've actually known what biomerging was before he asked his questions! Nevertheless, he was always a tinkerer at heart, and now he was having a blast tinkering with the laws and logistics of the Digital World.
Of course, with Bellmay coming back with a drink seconds after, it became clear that wasn't how it worked. "Or not?" he said. "Man, Digimon ages are weird. It's like you guys hatch, and then you're already more mature than us." Well, except Kuu maybe. Kuu was a weird one.
Still, it looked like now that Elliot was out of his shell, his new friends would be happy to help him investigate! "Isaac - that's my brother - and I have been looking for a Digimon that's been causing trouble on the countryside lately," he said, voice still cheerful even as he took a more businesslike tone. "He's this big mammal Digimon with pointy ears, spiked fur, and some kinda weapon he's always hitting people with. Have you seen any Digimon that look like that? 'Cause right now, it beats me." Why couldn't he just remember the name? This was starting to get way harder than it needed to be!

"Well, we're not exactly 'heroes' as such..." Colin said, scratching his head a bit from modesty. Bellamy's ego could overstate things slightly. "But we do want to do good with the world. We're members of a group called PROFIT, you see, so, we do want to do some good things in the world".
Elliot then transformed from the digimon back into a boy that looked like he was Colin's age. If Colin hadn't seen that happen before his eyes he wouldn't have believed it, but, it seemed that that was the power of a spirit wielder.
"Ah, no, my brother doesn't know about digimon yet" Colin answered, keeping his voice raised enough to be audible for conversation. "My sister does though. She has a digimon partner too". Colin didn't see her much though, he was kind of glad that the two of them tended to go their own ways on adventures in the digital world.
Colin wondered about Elliot's thoughts. "I've got no idea about that... although I've never actually asked for a drink so I don't know how they'd do that".
"Best not. I think in the earlier days you could get away with it, but, digimon seem to be more used to humans now, at least in Terminus and Whitewater" Luke advised. "The bartenders probably wouldn't serve you".
"Oh, right" Colin said. Well there was that thought out of his mind. He had to wonder though, he saw Ryouta being served Sake by his mercenary Ilbert, and he didn't look like he was 21. Maybe it was acceptable in some places?
Either way, Colin didn't want to complicate matters with his family by going to the digital world just to drink alcohol. That would cause problems. And even if his partners usually liked to have fun with him, even Bellamy would frown upon him drinking underage.
"Eh, I think it's the way we conduct ourselves" Bellamy said, shrugging. "I may have only hatched a few months ago, but, I am capable of evolvin' to Mega" he grinned. "And I was reconfigured in my old life too, so, accumulated years I guess?"
Apparently the digimon that Elliot was looking for was a big mammal digimon with spiked fur and a melee weapon. Colin struggled to think of what kind of digimon this could possibly be.
"A... Vikemon?" Bellamy suggested. "Oh no wait, they don't have spiked fur...".
"A Mojyamon?" Luke prompted. "...oh yeah, they're not really big either".
Hmm. It was tricky if they didn't know the species. But Colin still felt like helping. "Well, if you've got any leads of where they might be, we could help find them",

"Oh! PROFIT!" Elliot said, eyes brightening at a term he finally recognized. "I've heard of them, a little. Do you know Mana? She's my friend, and she's apparently been living with you guys. I'm really glad to hear that you guys are trying to make a difference. What kind of stuff do you guys do, usually?" It was a little weird the group seemed so centrally named after profits like that, but if they were getting good results who cared? People being helped was really the important part, after all.
It seemed Colin wasn't the only one making a point of helping others too. So did Colin's sister, it seemed. "She does? That's cool! What kind of partner does she have?" he asked. It was always fun getting to know people, and with how big and expansive the Digital World was who knew what kind of partner she'd have? Half the fun of exploring it was seeing what new creatures Elliot would stumble upon and trying to figure out how they worked. Less fun was the part where half the time they tried to kill him, but eh. Take the good with the bad.
For example, now he learned how alcohol laws in the Digital World worked! "Makes sense. They wouldn't want things to be too dangerous for us. Although I bet if anyone came here from Europe, they'd be very upset about the laws being Japanese-style." They were Japanese style, right? Japan seemed to be the main point of entry for the Digital World, and what the Digital World seemed to adopt. "Still, I'm glad they're becoming more used to us. I kinda wish it'd go both ways, though . . ." Why did they have to be so comparatively unfair to Digimon? Then again, humans coming into the Digital World weren't capable of blowing up a small city by sneezing, so there was probably a good reason for it.
Bellamy had a good point, though. He carried himself really maturely, and apparently he could already turn Mega! "That's so cool!" Elliot said, grinning. "Isaac and I are still working on that ourselves. We're at Ultimate right now, I think, if that's what Beast Spirits count as? We've been looking all over the place for our next ones, but we just haven't had anything come up yet. Maybe we're going about it the wrong way."
Naturally, a Mega-capable Digimon was suggesting a Mega-capable threat. From what Elliot had heard of Vikemon, they were some real scary creatures. "I don't think it's anything that scary, at least," Elliot said. "But those are some good guesses. I think Mojyamon's a bit . . . stumpy, though? This one was really humanoid, and I think had really colorful fur?" It was starting to come to Elliot's mind, but he just couldn't put a name to a face.
Come to think of it, there was a rather humanoid Digimon with bright, spiky hair and a pair of weapons currently stalking its way suspiciously through the crowds. Sure, that was Isaac in Yasyamon form, but thus far Elliot had completely forgotten to share that info with his new friends. Interesting.

Colin shook his head. "No, I don't think I've met Mana. I've heard of her though" he answered. And what did PROFIT do? "Well we basically help out anyone who wants assistance in the digital world, provided it's within the law" he answered. "Sometimes we even enforce the law, since Yuu's one of the leaders".
"Yeah, we did a pretty tricky mission a while ago here" Luke added. "First time we evolved to Champion as well. It was really concerning, someone had a secret lab where they seemed to be artificially evolving digimon. Only they seemed to lose control in the process".
What Elliot would make of that information, Colin wasn't sure. But if he was a friend of Mana's then it should be fine.
What partner Sophie had? "Ah, she has a Spadamon called Lantis" Colin said.
"He's a bit pompous and a real paragon, but eh, he's okay" Bellamy said, shrugging. When they were in Colin's house together, he'd usually be the one to tell Bellamy off for saying filthy jokes. But he was usually cool.
Colin supposed that was true, he had heard that the alcohol serving age was 20 in Japan. Still better than the USA though, which was 21. "I think that's probably the easiest, just go by what Japan permits. And yeah... although if a digimon really wanted to go to Earth and cause some uproar, there might not be much stopping them if they tried really hard".
"Eh, sheer numbers will probably wear them down" Luke said. There were many more humans than there was digimon as far as he knew.
Ah, so Elliot his brother were up to their Ultimate levels? That was pretty neat. "Wait, you have to find your spirits before you can use them?" Colin asked, surprised. Normally when he was ready to evolve his partners, the card just... seemed to appear in his hand. Or at least changed design. First the evolution card, then the blue card, then the blue styled with red in the center, which triggered Luke and Bellamy's mega evolutions.
Bellamy and Luke then struggled to come up with the idea of what the digimon was. "...You can't mean a Leomon can you?" Luke asked.
"Maybe it's an Apemon?" Bellamy suggested. They had colorful fur and a melee weapon. And looked kinda humanoid. "Oh wait is it that guy?" he asked, suddenly alert, pointing to the Yasyamon currently walking around the club.
"Should we evolve, Colin?" Luke asked, anxious. Colin looked at Elliot to see what his thoughts were.

Oh, so they helped with the law a lot. That made sense, considering who was in charge. That said, PROFIT was still a surprising name. Maybe it just had a better acronym than COPS or WEEWOO would've had. "That's really good of you guys," Elliot said, smiling placidly. "Although, artificially evolving Digimon? That sounds kinda terrifying," he added, a little sheepish at the admission. "I mean, it's just as much a mind state thing as it is a body thing, right? What the heck does it do to a Digimon who isn't ready for it?" Elliot wasn't sure if being pushed physically but not mentally would've been scarier than having both warped at once. Either way, nothing about this process sounded pleasant.
Thank goodness these three were on the case. They seemed like they really had their act together, and would've been nice enough to help out the survivors as well.
Elliot giggled a little at the description of Sophie's partner. Still, as silly as Bellamy made it sound, Elliot was still a bit impressed. He was just a sucker for knightly types, even if others saw them as sticks in the mud sometimes. "That's so cool! Does he help with PROFIT too?" Elliot asked.
Hopefully all hands were on deck there. Colin seemed fairly sure that a Digimon wreaking havoc in the human world would be really bad news. "Maybe both?" Elliot suggested. "Like, it wouldn't be the end of the world, but it'd probably take a lot to stop one. And so much could happen before they beat it . . ." Briefly Elliot looked down at his feet, not wanting to think about this anymore. "But I'm sure it'd be fine!" he insisted, forcing the thought out of his head.
At least he had another topic to jump to. "Yep! Each one's in a different place," Elliot said. "We can't evolve them any further, but the next ones we find are usually stronger than the last ones. I know there was a small one that came with our Digivice, then a human one, and then a beast one. I don't really know what comes next, to be honest, so my brother and I have kinda been around beast level for a long, long time." It certainly left them in quite the tricky situation. How would they step up if something scarier appeared? "I kinda wish we could push past with our emotions like you guys could, though. I gotta admit, that's always really cool . . ." he added.
A few likely culprits were brought up. Leomon, Apemon, and . . . Yasyamon? Elliot nodded along at their suggestions, only to do a double take as Luke started to prepare for battle. "Wait, no! That's my brother!" Elliot quickly blurted, waving Isaac over. "Isaac, hey! I made some new friends. This is Colin, and these are Luke and Bellamy. They're helping us look for the bandit."
Isaac blinked behind his mask as he headed over. For this cover missiont, Elliot had just taken off his disguise and brought in three new people who weren't privvy to the information going around. It was honestly what Isaac expected, though. So far, this "stealth mission" had been kind of a bust. "Great to meet you," he said, nodding. He'd smile, but the full face mask kind of inhibited that. "So I'm guessing Elliot told you guys about the Apemon, then?"
"Oh! You guessed right," Elliot said, smiling at Bellamy.
"Yeah, there's been an Apemon terrorizing the outskirts of the city lately," Isaac said. "Threatening travelers, taking their wallets, you know. Usual bandit stuff. We got a tip saying he usually spends his "winnings" around here after a hard day of "work," so we've been keeping an eye for him since. It . . . hasn't gone well." Isaac shuddered at the memory of a Monochromon trying to grind on him. "It turns out it's really easy to go unnoticed in a loud, busy club, but way harder to pick someone out at a glance. Especially when you get dragged right in the middle of the dance floor.
Still, I'm sure we'll spot him sooner or later. How've you guys been?"

Luke shivered a little as he remembered what happened in the lab. "Yeah it was terrifying. The digimon just... completely lost control. It was something that made Yuu very concerned at the least. But thankfully the damage was reversible. They turned back to their rookie and in-training forms afterward and they were just fine when they regained consciousness".
Does Lantis help with PROFIT? "Nah. Lan and his partner are actually tryin' to get a DATS replacement up and running last I heard" the Impmon answered. "I think it was called AEGIS or somethin'? But, well, family's family, so if Sophie and he need help, we'll help out".
Yeah, the thought of a digimon entering Earth would be too terrible to consider. So onto better subjects.
Ah, so in order to evolve further they'd need spirit totems? Wow, that sounded like a task and a half. "Hmm. Well, if you need help with any of that, we could assist" Colin offered. "I have an Airship merc that can pretty much go anywhere in the digital world except the Dark Area. If you got an idea where it is, just let me know and I can take you there".
So the Yasyamon was Elliot's brother? "Oh, whoops" Luke said, blushing a little as he realized how rash he was being.
Bellamy gave a little cheer as it turned out he was right about the Apemon. Luke folded his arms and nodded in acknowledge of his minor defeat.
So, this Apemon was a bandit of sorts? "Sounds like a good candidate for a thunderbolt to the butt" Luke mused, scratching his chin. "I'm assuming you want him taken alive, right?" he asked, just making sure. Of course he and Bellamy could evolve to Mega and one-shot him, but, that wasn't a very good idea in a crowded nightclub. However, he and Bellamy could evolve to Champion and help out that way instead.
How they were? "We've been okay, just kinda exploring the digital world at the moment" Colin answered Isaac. Still though this was an interesting new experience for him, speaking to humans that could turn into digimon.

Elliot gave Luke a sympathetic smile as he recounted that terrifying story. For a brief moment he remembered Porcupamon, horrifyingly writhing as it stormed through the abandoned lab where he found his first spirit. What the hell was that thing's deal, anyway? "You're really brave," he said, an edge of worry to his voice. Nothing that stuck with someone that severely could be any good, and even a bit of reinforcement could hopefully help there. "Thanks for helping them out like that."
It sounded like Sophie wasn't resting on her laurels, either. Making a replacement for DATS? Considering how big DATS was at its peak, that was huge! Could she really step up to do the government's job? "That's awesome!" he said, almost proud by association. "And I'm glad that it means you guys are going to be helping each other out. If your teams both work together, I bet that'll mean you guys can get a lot of ground covered."
Teams weren't the only people helping each other out. Apparently Colin was even offering to help Elliot look for spirit totems on his airship? Jeez, such a nice guy, and they just met him too! "Thank you so much!" he chirped, beaming. "I'll let you know the next time we're ready for adventure."
Adventure #1? A bar fight. Although if what Luke was saying was any indication, Elliot was a little bit worried. He sweat a bit nervously as Luke mentioned Apemon being taken alive, looking to Isaac and mouthing 'help me.' Thankfully, from there the older brother took over the conversation. "Yeah, alive please," he said, looking around in the hope that nobody was overhearing them. "I know Digimon come back, but we really don't want to just kill anyone. Especially when the guy's just some bandit."
Some bandit may have undersold it. Out of the corner of his eye, Isaac noticed Apemon swaggering out from the dance floor and heading towards the bar counter. The fact that he was ordering what amounted to a barrel of grog said plenty about the level of excess that he was accustomed to. A few Musyamon sitting around him banged on the table as he chugged it down, eventually haphazardly throwing his barrel back behind the bar. "Another one!" he shouted as his entourage cheered.
"Oh, we've been doing great!" Elliot said, beaming. "Well, I mean, sometimes things get kinda busy and tiring, but so far so good!"
"Same here," Isaac said, eyes wandering towards where Apemon was currently sitting. "Although I think I'm starting to do a whole lot better . . . "
Now for the hard part; how to approach a situation like this without seeming like the bad guys here?

Luke was a little modest about being told they were brave. "Well... adaptable is probably the right word for it" he said, scratching the back of his head. Bellamy meanwhile put an arm around him and drew him close.
"Nah, Brave is exactly the right word, just Mr. Shrinking Violet here can't bring himself to think about it that way!" the Impmon declared, making Luke blush under his fur.
"If not Brave, kinda reckless" Colin admitted. But, well, he kinda just wanted to be helpful. Hence him offering to help out Elliot with his airship.
Luke then realized he was probably coming across as a bit bloody-minded, then immediately backed down. "Y-yeah, of course" he said. Probably thinking about that lab and what nefarious forces were behind it made him think that a fight was going to break out.
And then they saw the Apemon. Bellamy's green eyes went where Isaac's were, and the Impmon scratched his chin. "Hmm... heh! I might just have an idea!" he said, then drew the entourage close and discussed his plan.
"So yeah, in case you haven't noticed, I'm an Impmon" he said. "Even though I'm just an awesome friendly bundle of goodness, well, people don't usually think that when they first see me. So, what if I go up to Apemon and try and get him to confess his crimes by being all awed and stuff?"
"I don't know..." Luke admitted. "Well, I could at least evolve to Champion in case things get nasty"
"Yeah true" Bellamy said. Colin shrugged, he didn't have any better ideas, and at least Bellamy looked like he had this thought out. "So, what do you guys think?" Bellamy asked Elliot and Isaac.
