Two figures quickly rose up to the heavens. Yes, this wasn't their first time traveling to the capital of light, but it was their first time as a Super Mega. Azramon rose up ahead with a powerful beat of his wings - the radiant light soon leaked in. It was disturbing, to say the least. But he had already been exposed to it previously. Not that it made you any less vulnerable, but at least he had an idea of what was coming.
His gaze trailed over the fields and inhabitants in the area with a certain hint of sorrow. There were a lot of innocent digimon here. Digimon oblivious of the incoming conflict. But... But he had to do it. If he had a way to do it without any casualties he would've done it already. But he doubted that the Luminas group would hand over their precious Light so easily.
I don't have a choice. The world is cruel.
A figure trailed behind, a mecha that despite his size held great power within. He had become a valuable ally to the demon.
Both wore their Vexus cloaks, hoods up. This wasn't PR. The main objective of this visit was to scout the area. True, Majin had been here before, but they needed to scan the whole place. Figure out any weaknesses in their infrastructure, as well as any structures meant to house their military. Hopefully, their cloaks would he enough to have them remain undetected.
"This is a good vantage point, right? From here, I'm sure you can scan the whole area up. We need it so we can plan further." the demon stated. He was a tactician in his own right, but ChibiMachinedramon had the superior eyes. He would be able to figure out a lot of things from just scanning.

Sure he's read about this place but honestly he'd never visited it... ever. Seemed way too boring for a mad scientist like him. Who the hell wanted peace prosperety and yatta yatta. Blek, he'd much rather have the chaos of the world below the clouds, the crime, the drama, the overflowing pool of test subjects! Thinking about it almost made him shiver.
"Yuck this place even smells lawful", he scoffed instantly realizing everything he'd read about this place was pretty much true.He may have never been there but he sure did his research, which was easy when your brain is a supercomputer. "Anyway yea, looks just as expected, I wouldn't really suspect any big surprises, these don't seem like the people to think sneakily. However I'm still gunna run all my scans and stuff of course, you can never have too much information", he grinned, loving the sound of his own voice and not at all minding being next to a supermega of any alignment.
His jetpack was silent while still providing more than enough thrust to not only keep him up but to let him move fast if needed, own of his own inventions of course. He often bragged to himself about it in his own mind in case it didn't come up in conversation. "Yea, this is fine, of course anywhere will do, I'm just that good ya know.. and scanning should be a cinch with my M.E.S.T-v2", and thus the outward bragging began. "Another invention of mine capable of seeing not only in the infrared but radio waves and heat and even sound waves. If it gives of any type of wavelength or vibration this puppy can hone in! Plus it has quite the zoom capabilities!", he grinned his sharp metal jaws and put on the thing that looked like a scouter, though a bit more bulky and having a few curly wires dangling and lugging in here and there. He even plugged it into the back of his own head.
"Yep I design most of my tech to be compatible with my own hardware too, makes it better on battery life and easier to control. Also makes it so it can't be stolen... ", he continued to talk with great charisma and boast as he began his scan of the Emperian skies, setting the device to record to his own internal data banks.

Azramon looked back as Rodgers complained about the place. Truth be told, he didn't expect the machine to care. Machine types were usually immune to psychological manipulation. Maybe he didn't feel affected by the place, he just disliked it's design. Azramon smirked to himself. Yeah, that was probably it.
He cast his gaze over the area while the ChibiMachinedramon spoke. "Even so, I'm not one to underestimate others. They're sure to have a militia somewhere around here. Even if they have a small force, they have the Royal Knights on their side." the demon stated. He was sure Luminas was a force to be reckoned with.
"We'll have to seek out any flaws in their infrastructure with your help. Raw power won't cut it on this incoming battle." he added. Indeed, they would have to be very strategic about it. If they charged head-on, they would surely lose.
But they would figure out a way to tip the odds. Of that, he was sure. "Rodgers. The palace as well. Figure out it's durability, ventilation system and pathways, if you can." the Super Mega stated. Yes, the palace. They would need to proceed into it after crossing the battlefield. Once there, they needed to cross it to finally reach the Origin... He had passed by the entrance of the gargantuan structure, but he had never thought about proceeding inside.

"Underestimate? What you think these archaic creatures with their chivalry and huddling around a really old light bulb are packing anything more than we think? I mean they have the knights, I doubt much more though. Yea they're gunna be strong but nothing more than we expect, so calm yourself I got this.", he spoke as he zoomed in on each building recording data and using his processor to generate many different maps and models of the infrastructure of the entire city and surrounding area. Oddly enough there was something that sounded like a fan switching on coming from the mega, like it would in a laptop.
"Course you guys need my help, I am a genius after all. You guys were smart to hire me I must say, you'd be nowhere without me.", He smirked as he boasted more and more, it was like his ego was overclocked or something. He kept up his scanning though and wouldn't stop until every inch was recorded and mapped, every duct conduit and even the movement of guards around the city over the course of about 30 minuets. He could probably estimate their entire path with that... he was a genius after all. And throughout the entire time he didn't let Azramon forget it.
"Well no duhhh, no actually I was just gunna leave out scanning the most important place.", he grumbled ladening his words with powerful sarcasm, taking it almost as an insult that anyone would assume he'd forget anything especially something that crucial. But he guessed he couldn't get too mad, after all probably just a simpleton's simple mindedness speaking.

Azramon simply stared out at the city. Perhaps Rodgers was right, or perhaps not. He didn't want to run the risk of it being the latter. They would be as prepared as they could be. He didn't mean to charge recklessly into the unknown - after all, it wasn't only his life that was at stake, Vexus would follow him. He didn't want to send them to their doom, despite the nature of the mission.
Yes, it would be a VERY dangerous mission. Some would call it suicidal. But he was determined to have them all come out alive. Even if he had to sacrifice himself for it. If he could just reach the Origin and save his sister... What happened to him after that didn't really matter. He had lived long enough. His sister was barely starting. If he could switch places with her right at that instant he would.
Azramon remained silent as the ChibiMachinedramon bragged on and on. The guy was a genius, he couldn't take that away from him. But damn, he did talk a lot. So far, the two had just had brief meetings over the course of the base's construction and programming. This was pretty much the first time the two went out together for a sizable amount of time. It was annoying, yes, but necessary. He had no intention of wounding the scientist's ego, and it would certainly not benefit him if he did so.
The scientist's last words made Azramon gaze upon him for a bit. This machine... He wasn't exactly a friend. Yes, he showed a particular disposition to help the group out, but Azramon was sure he had his reasons. The guy was wealthy enough, it couldn't have simply been because of the money. This made him think... There were worse people out there than those classified as good or evil. Nothing was more unsettling than a guy who was bound by neither side. Rodgers... Seemed like a guy who wouldn't mind seeing the world burn for the sake of his experiments. Who knows how many other digimon in the Digital World shared these traits, heck, even Azramon himself had this sort of ambiguous resolve. He wondered what he would be willing to sacrifice to accomplish his goals.
Such a lot of things to think about. And after lengthy consideration, Azramon realized something; when all is said and done, this Digital World is an unknowable place. On the surface, all appeared rational, orderly. But what lay beyond that thin veneer of reason? Stability and reality? Or chaos and madness?
This world... It was out of balance. The powers ruling it were inept - corrupted. Surely, others agreed with his thinking. If he could just take the reins, and guide this entire world into a new era of peace...
Peace with control. You couldn't trust the ignorant masses to behave by themselves. Just look at what they did months ago. A storm came over, the government fell apart and they immediately started rioting. No, he would not have that happen ever again. If he achieved his plans, he would implement a militaristic rule over the world. He would place digital tags on every citizen so as to keep tabs on them. He would build scanner checkpoints to keep everybody in check. He would eliminate the slums in every city and grant everyone a job, no matter how measly, in exchange for housing. He would raise a massive military force to cleanse the world of evil.
...
He smirked. They would probably see him as an evil man, himself.
A necessary evil.
*End*
