The desolate, white sands of the Forsaken Wasteland were still terrifying to Marshal and Coronamon, even though they had been there before. The Dark Area was certainly not Coronamon's favorite place to be taking Marshal, but the boy had all but begged him to take him there.
"Would you mind telling me why we're here now?" the Rookie Digimon asked, starting to get impatient. "The Dark Area isn't exactly easy to get to, nor is it the safest place to be."
"You'll see," Marshal said quickly as the two continued walking.

His digivice trilled, showing two dots that about to come here. A black haired boy sat on a particularly tall rock. Beside him is his trusted Slayerdramon, looking ahead to the unknown. They're soon about to come, those two who asked him for a fight... Well, it's just training, but Ryouta already told Marshal that he won't pull any punches back. To be honest he's still a bit annoyed, so does Ryu. Two of them probably wanted to vent too... but isn't that fine? They can train nonetheless.
"...Aniki."
"Well, looks like they're here already. Let's go then."
Ryouta's Digivice shone with blinding light blue light, and immediately, Ryu turned into data particles that solidified into several rings that slowly passed through Ryouta's limbs, materializing armors in the process. First the arms, then the legs, and finally the body armor and hood. Soon, an assassin like figure appeared in place of the boy, exuding strength of Super Ultimate. He decided to wait more until they're evolved. Slowly, Ryouta moistened his lips. Excited smirk bloomed under his mask.

A brilliant light in the distance told Marshal all he needed to know. The two of them finally caught up to the Biomerged form of Ryouta and Ryu, who it seemed had been waiting for them. "Hey, Ryouta," Marshal greeted, a hint of eagerness in his voice. "Thanks for agreeing to do this!"Coronamon, however, was not impressed. "What do you think you're doing?" he whispered to Marshal. "You know these two probably aren't on the best terms with us after that stunt we pulled in the mountains.""Well, I figured if we're going to improve, we'll need some help," Marshal explained quietly. "Ryouta is one of the only people we know at this point who's proficient at Biomerging. If they were that upset with us, we would've been kicked out of PROFIT on the spot, or worse."Coronamon sighed. Keeping up with their skills was good and everything, but the aura that Ryouta was exuding at the moment led the partner Digimon to believe they were in for more than Marshal was expecting. With a bit of apprehension in his gesture, Coronamon extended his fist to bump with Marshal's. Marshal returned the gesture, and the two began to shine with a brilliant light. "Coronamon Biomerge to...Apollomon!"Once the light subsided, the hulking Apollomon stood in front of Ryouta in a battle stance, ready for whatever may come next.

"Looks like you're both ready. Very well..." Ryouta nodded, his voice now overlapping between his and Ryu's. He slowly sheathed his katana, very slowly, like very paintakingly slow... The stance completed when he lowered his body to such height to began his attack. With insane speed, suddenly he appeared behind Apollomon, sword still sheathed. This is an Iai. Slayerdramon is not a tough form. In fact, in term of defense it's one among the least gifted in PROFIT. Still, one thing that made it formidable is its speed.
"Kagenashi (Shadowless)."
The longsword that fell under Ootachi suddenly glow purple. The draw was so strong that it created wind force. For a super ultimate, this is common. Ryouta grinned widely, wondering how his opponent will counter to this? However, it doesn't stop there. The blade gain bluish hue, a sign of passive awakened in battle.
Status: Slayerdramon Seigi - SU Action Taken: Used Kagenashi: Inflicts DoT on enemy for 2 turns, cooldown for 3 turns. If Slayer's Geas is active for more than three turns, ignores the effect of debuff on self for that one turn (still counted as a turn)

Wow, Ryouta was really taking this seriously! In an instant, he was behind Apollomon with an attack. With little time to react, Apollomon whipped around and got in a blocking stance. "Infernal Guard!" In an instant, an orb of flame surrounded Apollomon to guard him from Ryouta's attack. Apollomon might have been safe for the time being, but now he was stuck on the defensive against Ryouta. He'd have to find a way to turn the tables before he got seriously hurt.
Status: Apollomon uses Infernal Guard: Apollomon raises his fists in a guarding stance and an orb of flame surrounds him. This will protect him from any attack from nearly any Digimon for up to three turns. Apollomon can't attack after activating Sol Guard until he drops the move. The move can be dropped as soon as the turn after it's activated, but cooldown starts after the move is dropped and lasts for the same amount of posts as the duration. If a Super Mega attacks the barrier with a particularly powerful attack (like a finishing move), it will block the attack, but break instantly. Apollomon will be staggered, and cannot move for one post.

"Naive."
The sword did not only pass through barrier, almost as if it's a ghost passing through wall, or a spear finding a chink in an armor. Slayerdramon's passive is currently already in action making the sword that supposed to be deflected with the barrier instead passes through and hits. Ryouta quickly pulled back and readies another move. However, this time around, he sheathed his sword instead. Something seem to be different, as the SU's sheath is now clad in some light. From his posture, it looked like he could attack anytime.

Apollomon's eyes were instantly wide with terror as Ryouta's blade passed effortlessly through the barrier. "What the fu-" was all the Biomerged Digimon was able to get out before the sword struck him. Out of fear, Apollomon immediately took to the skies to assess the damage. He seemed to be bleeding, and the wound hurt like hell. "He's really out for blood," Marshal said in their head, half-joking. "I can't believe you didn't expect at least one of them to be angry with you," Coronamon sighed. "After all, you got Ryouta hurt pretty bad last time.""Yeah, but that was a while ago," Marshal reminded him, though that didn't seem like a reasonable response. "Let's try to focus on a plan for now. We have to keep him from getting in too close." "How do you propose we do that?" Coronamon questioned, annoyance dripping through his tone. "He's too fast, and not even Infernal Guard can stop his sword.""We could always try that technique that we were theorizing," Marshal suggested. "That might even the playing field a bit.""We haven't even attempted that yet," Coronamon groaned. "And you want to try it in a fight with one of the strongest Tamers we know?""This seems like as good a time as any," Marshal retorted. Outwardly, Apollomon floated stoically in the air. Unsure of what to do next, he put both arms out and began charging something.

"The flow of the data changed," Ryu noted inside Ryouta's psyche. "What should we do?"
"Charging, huh... let's see... what should I do?" At this point, Ryouta understood well that he's in counter stance. This means the speed he's proud of is chipped by 50%, quite the intense payoff. Still, it doesn't mean he can't do anything, right? While his speed decreased by half, he's still quick enough to took the sky. The scarf that he wore quickly become wings for him to take flight. Ryouta extended his arm and made a motion as if twisting a sphere with his palm.
"Illusionary Weakness."
Stream of mist whirls around Apollomon. Whether he could dodge it in time or not is unknown, but Ryouta himself charges head on toward the hulking lion in armor almost in abandon, not caring that whether he have weapon brandished or not.

Apollomon watched nervously as the cloud of mist approached. Based on Ryouta's skillset thus far, this could only end poorly if he were to be anywhere near that thing. He quickly ascended higher in the air, and noticed that Ryouta was also charging in, albeit much slower. "Of course he can fly," Coronamon scoffed. "Focus!" Marshal spat. "We need all our attention on this attack." The amount of power being charged was intense, moreso than anything Coronamon had felt before. Apollomon hoped with all his heart that the mist had slightly obscured Ryouta's view enough for him not to notice the sudden change in direction. With a silent prayer, he faced parallel to the ground below and thrust his arms straight down. "Sol Arrow Finale!" Hundreds of fiery arrows rained down around the area. It would be very difficult to dodge for Ryouta. Maybe using one of his strongest moves so early wasn't such a great idea, but Apollomon was already starting to get desperate.

"...Again, that was wrong move." The rain of arrows indeed hard to dodge... if only he's that slow forever. However, in fact, he's not. With the draw of his sword, he blasted off the mist like air bomb blowing surrounding fog away. His speed doubled from the moment before, matching the time when he was attacking the first time. He took a sharp ascending motion and begin his counterattack. "Magan Gaeshi." Ryouta slashes at the arrows as he ascended above. His blue eyes focused strongly on the armored lion above him. None of those arrow hit him. Even if it does, it's just one or two, or sparks from the meeting of his sword with the arrow. The moment he got so close to Apollomon, his blade let out wispy aura. Ryouta quickly did a rotating slash aimed at Apollomon's stomach. However, he's not done. He quickly sheathed his blade. It shut with a "click"

Apollomon wasn't sure whether to be in awe or extremely frustrated with Ryouta at this point. It seemed he had the answer to everything Apollomon tried to throw at him. Not only did he manage to counter nearly all of Sol Arrow Finale, the ensuing counterattack hurt like hell. "Sol Arrow!" Apollomon called out, extending his fist out to shoot another projectile at the Biomerged Tamer. To Marshal and Coronamon's shock, the move didn't work. "What's going on?" Marshal asked Coronamon. "Don't ask me," Coronamon spat. "This is what you get for challenging someone that's out of our league."No wonder things weren't working with the two of them arguing so much! Marshal sighed as they watched Ryouta get in another countering stance. Yggdrasil only knew how they were going to deal with this one. Finally, Marshal got fed up. "Whatever, I'm doing that move we talked about anyway.""No way!" Coronamon cried. "We haven't tested it yet.""If you're just going to complain about it, then stand back and I'll handle it myself," Marshal grunted. Apollomon kept his arm outstretched and opened his palm. After a few seconds of concentration a blade made of flame appeared in the Super Mega's left hand. "RAM Upgrade: Corona Blade!" This time, Apollomon's voice sounded more like just Marshal than an even mix of the two of them. Inside the Biomerge's head, Marshal could hardly contain his excitement. "It worked!" he exclaimed. "Now we're fighting fire with fire!"Coronamon couldn't help but smile. "Nice work, Marshal," he said, the annoyance and sarcasm briefly absent from his tone.
-Apollomon is hit by Magan Gaeshi -Apollomon attempts to use Sol Arrow, but ranged moves are sealed, so the move fails -Apollomon uses RAM Upgrade: Corona Blade (RAM Upgrade) Corona Blade: Apollomon summons a blade made of pure flame to use against enemies. The sword can either be manifested as a two-handed broadsword or a single-handed blade. This technique can be used as long as necessary, but Apollomon loses access to all moves other than Sol Arrow in the one-handed form, and loses access to every move other than Infernal Guard in two-handed mode.

"Mmmm, drats, that one is out of my prediction," Ryouta truthfully thought, chuckling.
"They don't attack, nor it felt like a buff, huh?"
"The data certainly doesn't feel like it. Do you feel it's either?"
"...Felt like summoning and just let it like that. I dunno what the inner mechanism do though... Just... it felt like it's not exactly beneficial... So it's not a buff."
"Well shit." yet despite saying so, Ryouta only could chuckle and grin. "Boy, talk about plot twist. Well, it doesn't matter. Ready Ryu?"
"Ou!"
He have to praise them both though. For a moment he thought that the skill is a buff, but turned out it's not. It's just a sword. A flaming sword. What's the effect though? He's curious about that, but now is not the time. With both combatant's speed halved, he know that he can dodge that. However, if it turned out to be something like projectile--no, it's impossible. This means he only could attack short range with it.
"...Either way, time to clash, huh..."
Ryouta pulled another blade from its scabbard, shorter than the first one and aimed a slash at Apollomon's wrist.

Apollomon had been slowed down by Ryouta's constant assault, but he also seemed to be much slower than usual. Apollomon tried to back up to avoid Ryouta's oncoming attack, and just barely got by with a slight scrape on the wrist.
"Phew," Apollomon breathed, holding up his new sword in a defensive position. "I've gotta say, Ryouta, this is probably one of the most difficult fights we've ever-"
Apollomon suddenly got cut off when a large hand was thrust unceremoniously through his back. A strange Digimon had appeared from nowhere during the battle and had snuck up behind Apollomon without either of them noticing.
"What the hell is going on?" Marshal asked Coronamon in a panic.
"I...can't hold on," Coronamon grunted. The damage was intense, there was no way they would be continuing the fight after this. The enemy Digimon silently removed his arm from Apollomon's abdomen and let the God Man plummet down into the sand. A strange purple and black aura seemed to leak out from the wound.
The enemy Digimon, now visible to Ryouta as Bagramon, then lunged at him.

"Hm, it's supposed to," Ryouta admitted, smiling. Still, the moment he was about to charge again, Ryu stopped him dead in his track. He could feel the bind from his counter skill slowly unravels, but... for some reason, his breath stuck in his throat. What the hell!? Ryouta was the first to break the trance.
"ILBERT, GET THE HELL HERE, IT'S EMERGENCY!"
Engine blaring as the Grand Locomon drove at its top speed. Ryouta saw that he managed to pull Apollomon inside.
Ryouta did not waste time to charges back at the Bagramon, his blade once again let out purple color. Before one could notice, he's already behind the Bagramon, sword brandished and ready to stab. Back then, he know that he's not in mood for kill, but this one is literally begging him to kill it.

As soon as Apollomon fell into Ilbert, the Biomerge fell apart, and Marshal and Coronamon laid on the floor, unconscious. The terrible hole in the back they had suffered at the hands of Bagramon was absent from their bodies, but they were in considerable pain. Coronamon in particular was suffering quite a bit. The strange purple and black data that had been leaking from Apollomon's wound still lingered on, causing the little lion to convulse violently.
Meanwhile, Bagramon had wasted no time in his attack on Ryouta, but Ryouta was much too fast. At this rate, Bagramon would be deleted with little more than a second thought. Despite this, the evil Digimon laughed and allowed Ryouta to stab him in the back. The pain gave him a rush of ecstasy he hadn't felt in a long time. All of a sudden, a huge wave of darkness washed over Bagramon and would likely make contact with Ryouta if he wasn't careful. He might not have time to retrieve his sword without getting slightly hurt.
