He's extremely hyperactive and never slows down. Despite all this, Oboro makes up for his shortcomings with an incredible work ethic. The unconventional method in which he was raised meant that he needed to learn how to fend for himself quickly. However, being able to do all this at his young age has made him incredibly over-confident. He often doesn't recognize his own weaknesses until it's too late. Oboro is an inherently good person, though sometimes people can get the wrong idea due to his personality. His rash nature can end up doing more harm than good in certain situations.

Oboro has a bit of a...wild look about him. That's to be expected, though, based on how he has been living. His bright red hair is extremely unkempt and messy. His piercing green eyes are only accentuated by his ridiculously bushy eyebrows. His clothes are constantly in tatters. The sleeves of his shirt are ripped off, and one of his pant legs has been cut off at the thigh. Oboro tends to injure himself a lot, so he'll usually be seen sporting some bandages somewhere on his body. Despite this, Oboro manages to keep himself clean a lot of the time thanks to the good hygiene his father passed on to him. Oboro's most prominent feature is a giant scar on his forehead he got when he first left home.
Oboro is around the average height for a boy his age, but will still get very angry when people call him short. He is also in extremely good shape for an 11 year old, thanks to his work ethic.

Personal History: Oboro Maeda was born in Kyoto, Japan to two loving parents. Shortly after he was born, his parents decided to move to a small village out in the country to get away from the busy city life. There the three of them learned to appreciate the small things in life, and how to fend for themselves. When Oboro was very young, his father showed him how to do all the big chores that a man of the house would be expected to do. This led Oboro to become very self-sufficient at a young age.
The Maeda family lived in peace until one fateful day. A fearsome storm came to the village, causing a massive flood that threatened to destroy it. Oboro's father and many of the other men of the village did everything they could to stop the flood, and were successful. When the storm had cleared, Oboro's father was nowhere to be found. It was believed that he had drowned in the river. To this day, Oboro has an intense hatred and fear of water.
A few years passed, and Oboro took over all his father's duties as the man of the house. However, ever since the incident, his relationship with his mother had become strained. Finally, Oboro couldn't take it anymore, and left the village after a tearful good-bye to make his own way in the world.

Sometimes he can say the wrong thing and get people upset with him. At the end of the day, though, everyone gets along with Gomamon, and love what he brings to the table.
