Saburo had left the confines of Terminus City a while ago. He wasn't sure where he was heading, but he followed along behind Terriermon regardless. The little Digimon was sure...confident. Was that the right word for this? He was sure full of energy, anyway.
"Come on, Saburo!" Terriermon said, jumping around the hills of the Network Plains. "It's this way!"
"Um, Terriermon, where are we even going?" Saburo asked, not entirely sure his partner knew what was going on around him. The two of them had been wandering around for a while without not making any progress. Finally, something broke the monotony of their jaunt through the plains. Saburo's new Digivice began beeping. The young boy took it out and took a look at the screen. A small radar had appeared on the display, with a blinking red dot appearing in the top right corner.
Terriermon jumped up and down to attempt to look at the Digivice. "Oh! There's a Digimental nearby! We've gotta find it!"
"What's a Digimental?" Saburo was still trying to learn everything that this place had to offer, and Terriermon was a little too hyperactive sometimes to get any new information.
"It'll help us get stronger!" Terriermon said excitedly. "Let's go look for it! It's gotta be here in the plains somewhere!" In a flash, Terriermon was already running in the direction that the Digivice had pointed. With a sigh, Saburo jogged over to catch up with his partner. Hopefully this wouldn't become a reoccurring trend.

As the pair walked, Saburo couldn't help but worry. What had happened to Kasumi? She had to be worried sick about him. He wondered if she had made it to the Digital World to find that other Digimon, Kokomon. Hopefully the two of them would be able to see each other again.
"Saburo, were you listening?" Terriermon asked. The two of them had stopped in the middle of a field, and the little Digimon was looking up at his Tamer with a worried expression.
"Huh?" Saburo grunted. "Oh, yeah, let's keep moving." He continued on, and Terriermon followed behind for once. The two of them didn't seem to be making any progress.

The journey across the plains felt like it had been taking forever. Saburo was really starting to get bored of walking, but he pressed on because Terriermon wasn't stopping for anything. He was already probably in some sort of danger just by being outside that city, so sticking with his Digimon was probably the safest bet.
Terriermon, meanwhile, was walking with a spring in his step. He didn't seem to have a single care in the world. "Hey, Saburo, are we close?" he asked eventually, suddenly turning around and jumping up to check out the Digivice.
Saburo squinted at the screen. The map wasn't very detailed, but the blinking red dot was close to the center of the screen. It seemed that their eternity of travel wasn't wasted, after all. "It's around here somewhere!" he said, suddenly a bit excited. He had to admit, it was fun to be out on an adventure with Terriermon like this. He figured it'd be a more common occurence soon enough.
Terriermon was already running around with a sense of urgency, even going as far as sniffing around the area. However, their fun treasure hunt was about to take a turn for the worse.

A not-so-distant howl filled the air as a strange wolf creature appeared in a flash. Its feet were covered in blades, and its head was covered up with bat ears. "Sangloupmon!" Terriermon shrieked. "This guy's bad news!" Sangloupmon quickly confirmed this by tackling into Terriermon and stomping him underfoot. The poor bunny gave a squeak of terror as the giant wolf applied pressure onto his tiny body. Saburo looked on, wide-eyed with fear. "Terriermon!" he cried out. Terriermon struggled against the force of Sangloupmon's foot. The Champion-level Digimon growled and bared its fangs at Terriermon, its intentions clear. Terriermon answered in kind by opening his mouth and shooting a green bullet of energy straight into the Digimon's mouth, stunning it temporarily, but not allowing him to escape. "I'll be okay, Saburo!" Terriermon insisted. "Just have faith in me as your partner!"Saburo took in those words and looked on from a distance, hoping that his new friend would pull through. His attention was taken away for a moment, though, when he noticed a glint of something shiny next to him. He knelt down and picked up a strange looking artifact. It looked like two pairs of metal gauntlets with long-red claws on the end. The two claws were stuck together, and a strange emblem was engraved on the sides. Without any prompting, Saburo held the strange artifact up high and yelled out, "Digi-Armor, energize!" He didn't know how he knew to say those words, but they still felt so natural, as if that was what he was meant to do. Suddenly, both the artifact and Terriermon began to glow with a brilliant light. "Terriermon Armor Digivolve to...Prairiemon, the Keeper of Faith!"When the light settled down, Terriermon was nowhere to be found. Instead, a much larger rabit with metal ears and claws matching the strange little statue was underneath Sangloupmon's foot, but that didn't last for long. Prairiemon's ears began to vibrate at ridiculous speeds, making a high-pitched sound that Saburo was unable to hear. However, it seemed to harm Sangloupmon quite a bit, causing him to rear back a bit. This gave Prairiemon a chance to get away. "Rabbit Dimension Hole!" he shouted, slashing the air to his left with his claw. Suddenly, a strange looking tear appeared in the space next to Prairiemon, and he wriggled his way through it and disappeared. The hole quickly closed behind him, leaving both Saburo and Sangloupmon confused. A few seconds later though, a similar hole appeared, and Prairiemon jumped through and kicked Sangloupmon in the face with his powerful legs. The Champion-level Digimon stumbled and fell. Without a word, he quickly got up and ran off, leaving Saburo to marvel at his partner's sudden transformation. "Terriermon...what was that?" he asked. "You found our Digimental!" Prairiemon shouted excitedly. "Your faith in me allowed me to Armor Digivolve to Prairiemon!"Saburo was still trying to process the name change when Prairiemon reverted back to his Rookie form. The smaller bunny jumped onto Saburo's head and perched there, happy with his performance. "That guy won't mess with us anymore!" he assured his partner. "Let's keep moving!"Saburo still had a million questions burning in his mind, but he shook his head and walked into the nearby forest with Terriermon. He hoped that he would be able to find Kasumi soon, but was starting to smile and enjoy himself a little more.
