The digimon certainly had a way of staying positive, he'd give her that. His eyes flicked from the digimon's face to where she was holding his hand. It felt odd something fierce; more like a way of firmly holding his attention more than his physical state. He'd pause and his free hand came up to run through his hair again; a thoughtful look on his face.
"Aye that's true, fine-print exists for that reason I suppose."
Negative emotions? Oh she had no idea the swirling mess that was inside. From start to finish this man was a rolling mess of un-addressed issues; each layered by the hope of the next day being better only to be much worse. A small and rather exasperated sigh followed her suggestion of positivity and the guess he hadn't enjoyed something in a long time. She'd be right on both accounts; he hadn't taken a real day off in years. He mostly just kept to his work; and the digital world. Travel had it's perks after all.
"I suppose. You'd be right on the count of not enjoying something. I'm rather consumed by my work to make ends meet. I can't help but wonder what sort of positive events you would think could help."
A soft shrug followed; there was of course often a day where he didn't sleep. He was surprised he didn't have large bags under his eyes and a much steelier disposition. Her next guess caught him rather off guard; well at least the part about their desires or appeasing them.
"It's not a fight or glory I can assume that much, plenty of fights that would of given it to them. Another thing to think about I suppose."
She claimed that she knew that no one was the same made Kan pause again; his icy blue eyes taking her in again. She certainly was a well of positivity wasn't she? What was that saying they had about positive thoughts and actions being easy to spread around? The same went with negative thoughts too; but he hadn't really given that bit much thought. His hand was released finally, making him feel slightly out of sorts. Rubbing it idly with his other hand; he felt his brow raised ever so slightly from the bow. Returning it politely as he had met a few businessmen that particularly enjoyed that greeting method.
"Ah. A pleasure to meet you as well Cion. I guess that'll mean we'll be teammates or something like that. Future teammates rather."
He'd let out a soft laugh; accepting the paw in a firm shake. he kept the shake going for a moment or two before ending it; no real reason to make it awkward. Humming thoughtfully he'd rub the back of his head again. The spirit user found his spirits oddly quiet; like they were discussing something or that they were just listening. It made him nervous something fierce but; he would keep going forward.
"So then, what now?"

Finally, Cion saw something within Kan give in. However, it was not like the submission to the spirits within him. Instead, he found serenity in what she said, and of course the way she remained positive. If anyone knew what it means pushing through times of true anguish, it was definetly her. What she held dear for many lives and centuries had seperated the true bond between them, and it was difficult for ther to cope with that. It was a valuable lesson without a doubt, but it hurt regardless, since she knew things would never be the same.
Still, she had to decide how her future, especially if it was one with 'him', would be like, and the same went for the human. It was... strange. Cion suddenly felt utmost alleviation when she realized she was facing someone she might have turned into as well. A catalyst of innermost negativity that merely tried to appear calm and composed. Or worse, she might have even become like the guttersnipe that was thankfully no longer here. With this experience burned into her memory, she would make sure that something like this would never happen, even if she realized that things, alongside her, would change at least a bit.
Giving the man a thumps up after he realized that there was always 'fine print', she watched him realize that the crux of her statements had been true. This of course filled the CyberSagitamon with both elation and pride, knowing that she had pierced his wall and made him truly open up to her. From now on, they could interact casually as companions, and through this she would find a final solution to his dilemma. What it would be like and how she did not know, but whatever it was she would uncover it.
"Well, enjoying a weekend for example! Maybe visiting the cinema, eating a fine restaurant, or enjoying games of any sorts. Honestly, it's the simple things in life that make it wonderful. Like a sunset, seeing the world from above, or a gentle embrace." She stated, believing that they did not require a big bang to cheer him up, but rather a constant stream of small bits of happiness. They would linger continously as a reminder that there was happiness around every corner; one simply had to take and wield it.
"Well, perhaps there have been fights of glory, but not THE fight of glory, if you get what I mean." Cion teased the man a little, believing that Luke and Bellamy could give him a challenge that was far beyond anything he could imagine. Perhaps a battle with digimons that had risen to their apex was truly what the spirits sought after, and either victory or defeat would decide Kan's ultimate fate. Of course this was all speculation at beast (pun intended), but she had watched enough anime to have an idea where all of this might go to.
Visibly appreceating his manners, Cion could not help perhaps but giggle a little like a little buttercup. "See? You can be a real gentleman... and kinda sweet, too." What had once been mere giggles turned into open laughter, joining Kan's own soft laughter. How things could change in a manner of minutes, was it not fascinating? Composing herself again, the vulpine digimon cleared her throat and nodded to the young man.
"I am looking forward to it. Not much of a duelist, but... I can make any villain's life an ordeal." She hinted at her powers still shrouded in mystery with a slightly cocky grin. They were clearly not of the offensive type, but maybe they were something far worse than that. Who knows? They were definetly sought after by P.R.O.F.I.T, since they were quite a rarity and certainly invaluable for a team. A supporter in nature and powers, that was who she clearly was.
But enough of this little moment of hubris. Kan put forth an excellent question; one she did not know a straight answer for. "Whatever we want, I suppose. The noon's still young, so I guess we can return to Terminus and have a nice day. Or we go straight to business and get this contract signed and handed over, though that ain't much fun. You got any wishes on your heart... what's your name if I may ask? I doubt it's Silvamon" She spoke, not feeling forced to do anything or being hurried to do so. One part of enjoyment was to savor it after all!

"I suppose those all could work; been quite a time since I've done anything like that. Probably not the very last one though; I'm uh. I might be thirty, but uh. There's nothing like that really in my life hah."
He'd let out a somewhat nervous chuckle; no there wasn't much point for something like that for him. physically touching someone was something he certainly wasn't used to in a gentle fashion. It sent way too many warning signals; set his spirits on high alert and the like. He was more surprised at this point that they hadn't stepped forward like they had with many others. perhaps their nervousness was stemming from him.
"I'm. Not sure i quite follow on that one. I'm not exactly a warrior."
He was certainly caught off guard by the giggle; his expression changing somewhat when she spoke quickly after. Letting out a cough he'd rub the back of his head and avert his eyes. Sweet? He didn't feel like he was anything close to that, the gentleman part? Well being polite was part of business. That's what a gentleman was right?
"is that so? Most of my forms so far deal well with single opponents. Haven't really had a large group to work with."
He'd chuckle again, returning that grin with a curious look. He couldn't help but wonder what sort of kit a digimon like her would have. If they weren't much of a duelist did that mean they were something else? It sounded like they were better at long range? Maybe medium. He'd have to see her in a fight that's for sure before he could actually make any good guess.
"Terminus does sound good; every-time I go there it's always good business. Always more people. But yeah, that does sound rather boring just to get things handed in so early in the day."
He'd pause a bit at her queries; a hand coming up to run through his hair again. It certainly was interesting talking to a digimon with such a positive outlook. Certainly seemed to clash with all the negativity that he had been meeting as of late; letting out a soft sigh he'd shake his head.
"I came to the beach to let out some steam, which got let out. Well silvermon's steam got let out rather. Now the beach is just a nice spot with a big old indent in it. Good company at least I'd guess."
He'd gesture out to the beach, a moment later he realized that the dual voices must of overlapped at some point for her to inquire to what his name was. Or that the situation from earlier caused her to focus on Melina rather than the spirit user.
"You'd be right to doubt that. It's Uric Kan, Most people just call me Kan."

Chuckling alongside the male human, Cion was glad that he was showing his easy-going self. Sure, it would be difficult to decide on which enjoyment to pursue first, but being open to everything helped a lot. Certainly they would find things both of them liked, and if they had to experiment to do just that then that was fine with her as well. But no hugs, she got that cue, and understood why exactly it was mentioned.
"Well, you'll see, tihi. All I'm saying is that I can easily turn a 2v2 into something that feels like a 2v0.5. With some smarts, we can take on anything." Was all Cion replied, certainly hoping to delight the human with her powers in the future. Without a doubt, they would make things very easy, allowing for a lot of room for errors, though she of course tried to avoid those. And the last thihg he wanted her allies to be is careless, which was why she was sometimes breaking out of her role of a supporter so they did not forget ot take care of themselves. Well... besides anyone than with Owen, she had never really fought alongside another anyway.
"Okaydokay!" Terminus it was, though what they would do there was still beyond there. Perhaps visiting the fun fair was a great idea, since it had many different opportunities to have fun, and even win some prizes! But oh well, they still had an entire trip back full of banter to worry about that.
She was not quite sure why he suddenly changed the subject at hand to why he had come here to this beach, but it was fine for her since she got to understand him better. While his methods of letting out steam were not appreciated, perhaps it was this clear mind both of them needed more than ever to assure he'd overcome his own duress. Nodding quietly, she did not say a word, letting the moment pass by as calmly as it had appeared.
"Good company indeed. And Kan's a fine name... Kan." Cion commented, delighted to finally have a name associated with this fascinating man. So she was going to be the one helped Kan the human to defeat the spirits within him that sometimes took control of him. It sounded really bizarre, but she liked that role since it meant helping someone who really needed it. It was not only for his sake, but many others as well. A righteous cause without a doubt.
"Didn't answer my question though, hehe. Ya got any wishes; things you wanna do in Terminus? If not, I suggest we visit the fun fair. I'm sure we can win a very big teddy for you." She offered jokingly, of course understanding that Kan was a bit too old and serious for a bear made out of fluff and love. Then again, this item in particular carried a lot of positive symbolism, and a hug could indeed change someone's world entire.

Kan exhaled softly and smiled at Cion; he was quite sure she got the message there but.. He couldn't be honestly sure; after all the digimon had taken his hand without knowledge of the human's desire for space.
"...Really now? That's certainly beyond useful."
He looked actually quite surprised, curiosity blooming in his eyes again. He didn't particularly enjoy fights that were stacked in one favor or another. But he did like it when there was alot of room to work with. Rubbing his neck the man gave a soft smile to the digimon. His face dropping into surprise again; not expecting the comment on his name. He'd cough and shift slightly; looking a bit out of sorts.
"Thank you. I... I always felt it was odd."
He'd admit, his face breaking into another smile. Truth be told, not many people made comments about his name; often just accepting it as is. Though most people seemed to use his last name in place of his first name, but in the culture he was living in that was to be expected.
"Ah yes. I didn't; really answer that sorry."
He glanced over to the station after a few moments of idle thought. Her suggestion about the teddy making him chuckle idly; he'd shake his head slightly. He had an old one of those somewhere in the shop.; untouched likely in storage. back when he still had problems that needed to be addressed that were far more childish than now.
"Not. Particularily, I uh. I shouldn't be thinking of business and what not if we're going to the fair?"
He'd laugh softly, gesturing towards the station that melina had exited with earlier. Though her train was far gone by now. he'd shake his head slightly and started to walk towards it, fairly sure that they would follow suit.
"I mean, They're comfortable I suppose. Not really much I can do with one though..."
He'd stop however, rubbing his head just a little bit. Not sure what else was he really supposed to say. His mind idly thinking about the negativeity of hollow affection that a teddy bear brought to the table. He'd sigh almost wistfully and follow with a shake of the head.
"Don't really think a teddy bear would help either."

Cion grinned happily, enjoying that she had made Kan all excited about her mysterious, supportive abilities. And when the day came that they fought alongside each other, she would make sure to leave a fine impression. As a supporter, making the lives of her allies and friends easier was basically her job and daily good deed. Still, not too much as to not take away their independence and caution.
"Odd is the fine normal here, my dear." She replied with utmost confidence, feeling like Kan had no reason to consider his name weird. It was simply a row of letters that gave him a label, an identity. And it was a simple, short name with a nice ring to it, just like her own name, Owen's or Logan's. Regardless, she was simply glad to see him smile so often, certain that with a bit of smarts, she'd find a way to assure it would become the status quo, not an exception.
Not teddy bear then? Well, if it was not for Kan, then certainly for Logan! "Well, I'd still like to win one for my nephew, if that is fine with you." The requested the male adult. She knew that Logan had no plushies or other toys appropriate for children except video games, so making him a present every now and then was not a bad idea, was it? He couldn't always snuggle with Owen, and it certainly was a fine keepsake to remind him of her good ol' aunt, wasn't it? "But yes, let the dark thoughts slide and embrace the good ones. For long, I'm certain they become the concious ones."
Realizing him motioning her to keep going, she positioned herself to his left and made the first steps towards the train station in close proximity of the beach. "One can never be sure about the effects of something, Kan. Even the smallest of things can leave a lasting effect. A single smile, a single touch... or a single friend." She responded, a warm simper directed at the human. If he let her be, she gladly be a friend of his, even if she was the only one. But with Owen, Logan, Colin & Co and heck maybe even Brad, she was confident she would not remain his only one for long.
"Speaking of which, please don't let that girl have a lasting effect, okay?" She chuckled nervously, hoping that her nonsensical talk about apathetic social darwinism and regressive naturalism had not actually impressed him.

Kan took a good long look around before chuckling and shaking his head; odd is the fine normal? That sounded strange to him; but then again here he was. In the midst of a digital world; talking to basically what amounted to a person mixed with an animal and cybernetics. Oh the world that he lived in.
"You have a point."
He admitted rather simply; eyebrows shot up a bit when the digimon spoke about her nephew. So there was a smaller verison of something like her? Or perhaps it was a completely different digimon entirely. You never knew what was going to come out of those eggs did you? Exhaling softly he'd give a firm nod after thinking it through just a bit.
"Certainly, I suppose it depends on what game we do play. I'm not very good at the ones that require you to knock things off with baseballs or the like."
He'd shake his head a little bit and continue walking with the digimon. His hands stuffing themselves in his pockets as they did so. Dark thoughts? No. His thoughts weren't dark; they were realistic. Somewhere deep down he felt a dark rumble from Kryptmon; something akin to laughter but it wasn't exactly pleased laughter.
".....It'll be slow work to change that I'd think. But. I'll try. "
He'd shrug and give her a small grin. One could never be sure? He could be, but then again that thought process had brought him along a very dark path. blood stained hands, lost friends. Lost partners. Even ended up taking most of his childhood. Letting out an exasperated sigh he'd shake his head firmly. Her last inquiry and that nervous chuckle making him realize something.
"A long time ago. I had a digital partner. A dragon type digimon. He and melina share a common viewpoint; he's long gone now but... Anytime something like that is acted upon; it gets bad. Someone always comes to stop them; good, evil, friendly or not. I understand that viewpoint; I don't agree with everything of it but. I understand why it's around."
He'd pause in front of the trailmon doors; them sliding open with a sound and a muffled greeting from the digimon. Giving it a soft wave; he'd turn to face the CyberSagitamon shrugging just a little bit.
"It's something that you grow to understand, go one way or the other with it. I don't think I'm going to go down that path; I already had stepped on it when I was younger and didn't find it to my taste.
He'd sigh just a bit and step on the trailmon; fairly sure the ride was going to be much better talk than what had occured on the beach.

With a bit of pride, Cion scratched the tip of her nose when Kan agreed with her idea that the digital world was indeed an odd place. In her point of view, it only improved tolerance and acceptance in everyone, though there were of course personal clashes every now and then. Nothing serious like human racism, but certain poop-shaped digimons for example were at times avoided because of the smell.
Taking Kan's explanation into consideration, she thought about the most optimal way for them to win a big teddy without spending too many bits. He seemed like a rank guy, and she was well-versed with ranged weaponry. But then, she had a particularly sneaky idea on how to solve this little problem. "I think you should hit the ring-the-bell game, and I assist you a little with... certain levitation powers, hehe." The CyberSagitamon proposed. Of course they had to find an owner liberal enough to allow cooperation of two participants, but certainly among the thousands of businessmons there had to be one.
"Of course it's not going to be an instantaneous process, but you'll see... it's going to be delightful." She tried to encourage Kan to simply let things occur. Forcing anything would not help, and it was often surprise that brought the greatest happiness. Of course it could have the opposite effect as well, but for now she refused to even consider that. She had to remain positive and optimistic, not only Kan but also for her own sake. Perhaps one day... everything could be fine and bright again.
The brief grin from the human male assured Cion that, at the very least, the seed of their friendship was planet. It'd take a long time for it to grow into a beautiful, strong flower, but they had all the time in both worlds. Listening to his unpleasant story, she ultimately still found relief in it. Even if Kan's partner was gone as the creature it once used to be, she was certain it was now leading a fine life. "I don't understand it, since its a lost point. It facilitates perpetual fear, distrust, solitude, a state of primitive naturalism, narcissism and universal meaninglessness and vanities. Nothing can come out of it."
It was with utter conviction that she had spoken those words. She would likely never be able to understand how a sane, sentient entity could possibly want something like this for themself and everyon else. Then again, she had all reason to doubt that people supporting such ideas had healthy spirits. The girl from before proved that point in her point of view. Unfortunately, these creatures had a tendency to be among the most dangerous.
Shaking her head when Kan suggested the possibility of her understanding the idea, she simply dropped the topic and kindly gretted the Trailmon. Entering one of its cabins, she would turn to much more enjoyable topics to banter about. "Speaking of taste, what's your..."
