"Ugh. that was a little more adventure than I was expecting..."
Surviving the whole escapade with eva was something the renamon wasn't really expecting. While the details of later events with them were somewhat fuzzy because of the pain she was grateful to of eventually made it to terminus one way or the other. From the trailmon to troopmon straight into having to flee the fire.. then making camp? That was where her memory cut off up until her hospital visit. They were appalled to see that she was in such a bad shape. With one of her gloves gone and much of her body scarred she was put into treatement for the better part of a day. She was expecting a week but apperantly her medical know how was lacking more than she realized.
Bandages crisscrossed her chest, her legs, a part of her head and were firmly around her left arm all the way up to her shoulder. They told her to stay local so that she could have the bandages changed every so often which made it rather problematic because she didn't actually live here. So what was there for her to do? Really the only thing she could think of was find something to cover all the scars with. Which would mean finding several simular outfits. Which the renamon had very little experience doing.
She spent most of the day staggering around; managing only to keep herself going by resting on benches and their ilk. She avoided the dicier parts of town and kept herself close to the more proper area's of the city. The day was fair, but by evening she ended up in the terminus mall section; winded and aching all over. She really shouldn't stress herself out at this point as it could just make recovering harder.
She did however find a few clothing stores; one of which seemed to have things that would befitting a champion or greater rather than a rookie level like herself. She took a seat outside one of the more to her size clothing shops; wincing a little bit. She'd need some time before going in... after all if she went inside feeling winded she'd just create problems for those inside.
"What to do..."

"Are mew sure you're alright by yourself?"
"If I wasn't, I wouldn't have said that I was."
"But are mew really--" Taking a deep breath, the Meicoomon stopped herself mid-sentence, giving a shake of her head. "Even with the rabbit?" This only warranted a small smile from the human in front of her, while he glanced toward the sky. "You should rawrly see a doctpurr about-"
"If you keep worrying here, we'll never get home today," the teen finally chimed, shoving his bandaged hand into his pocket. "I'll stay in the city. Promise."
Puffing her cheeks, the feline felt the need to argue, "like you purromised not to touch that totem?" Immediately, Asher looked away from his mercenary again. "Yeah, exactly! This is why I worry!" Realizing that she wasn't going to get anywhere with the conversation, Whiskers let out a dismissive sigh, "fine. But, if you're not in Terminus when I'm done, I'm going to go find Isaac again, and make him knock sense into mew!" After all, Asher didn't want to inconvenience Isaac any further, right?
With an agreement made, albeit a silent one, the Meicoomon hurried off in her own direction, while Asher found himself wandering around the Digital city. He hadn't really spent much time actually exploring one of the more civilized areas of this world, so this gave him plenty opportunity!
Humming a tune to himself, the redhead found himself in front of the mall portion of the city, giving it a glance over. So! This was the place that his mercenary had talked about before! Deciding to take a look over the area, he began to wander about, glancing over stalls, stores, and the strange monsters that bought [sometimes] even stranger items!
But, one creature stood out enough to make the young man do a double take. The tune died in his throat, finding himself staring at one of his spirits. Or, no. That really wasn't his spirit! She wasn't all wrapped up in bandages like this one! Otherwise, Asher would start to worry that he really did need to see a doctor! Were there still living versions of all spirits?
Realizing that he was staring, the young man decided that he had to make some sort of move, regardless of if it was walking away or not. With absolutely no thought placed into it, his feet moved themselves, taking a few steps toward the yellow fox. But, before he could grow concerned about his sanity again, he heard her speaking to herself. This definitely couldn't be a figment of his imagination, now! Those didn't talk, right?
Another few steps closed the distance, offering a smile to the being that he could actually identify as a Renamon. "Hello," he hummed, trying not to be rude by beginning with his question, "is everything alright?" How could anything be alright, when she was covered in bandages? Stupid question!

K was certainly feeling a little better after resting on the bench outside of the storefront that she had intended to go into. So much so that she was considering going into it; though she found herself practically glued to the spot. She was tired and that much was damn certain. Would she be able to even make it to a place to stay at this point? She might end up passing out on a bench somewhere.
She'd lean back and sigh softly; perking slightly when she realized she was not alone. Not in the typical sense of a mall where there were people around all teh time. But that someone was directly about and was very much staring at her. Eyes swiveled and found themselves meeting the gaze of... A human. She'd blink slowly and lean forward, her brow furrowing slightly as she did so. This was.. The second human she's met as of late. They didn't seem to come out to the eastern timberlands as much as you'd expect.
"I won't bite."
She couldn't help but wonder why he seemed to be surprised by her apperance. Was she really looking that haggard? Sure the bandages that she had to deal with at the moment pretty much made her stick out like a sore thumb. Being in the nicer part of town she'd of course be ignored by most here. However she supposed that humans likely had a different approach when someone looked as injured as she did. The human's greeting was returned with a small but firm nod; what she could gather just form the voice that this one was likely male? If not she'd correct herself if needed.
"Good evening Sir."
A proper greeting even for the location they were in; she'd blink a little bit when he inquired if everything was all right. She'd sigh softly and shake her head; gently patting one of the few uninjured spots on her with her good hand.
"I'd say I'm more all right than I was a few days ago hah, Took a bit of a nasty trailmon trip. I'm a little more surprised to have someone stare at me quite so intently; are renamon rare or something?
She'd consider something for a brief moment; eyeing him curiously. She had a load of questions that she always wanted to ask humans; though being formal enough to understand that she needed a name to associate with the individual.
"My name is K, what's yours?"

Hearing the first comment, Asher tensed ever-so-slightly. He certainly would hope that the Digimon wouldn't bite! Though, he had also hoped he hadn't been that obvious! Not that the redhead had done anything to even pretend that he wasn't staring. Asher really needed to work on that kind of thing, didn't he?
But, being called 'Sir' in such a casual setting was probably almost as strange as staring at strangers! Or, at least, Asher was going to try to justify it as such. It was almost like the Renamon was at work, or something! Oh, he really hoped she wasn't at work. That would be weird, too, wouldn't it? What did Digimon do for jobs, anyway? Questions for another day! And probably not to just blatantly as a stranger about! But, what was this about a Trailmon trip? Could those things actually be dangerous?
Now Asher was suddenly a little more concerned about how weird some of those trains were.
"Oh," he murmured, trying to process his word choices before saying them. Think before you speak! Not the other way around! "No. Well, maybe?" So much for thinking before speaking. Crap. "I haven't actually seen one, aside from," pause. Do not say 'aside from dead ones'! That sounds like a far worse response than it would actually be intended as! Spirits were only kind of dead, right? "myself." Oh, because that sounded so much better.
Wait, no. No, it didn't sound any better than the alternative. His conversational partner could be a rock and know that Asher wasn't a Renamon right now!
Anyway! Focus on keeping the conversation going without it getting too weird! "I'm Asher," he answered, shifting his weight between his feet. Did Digimon shake hands? Was he supposed to do something right now? Surely, the teen was doing something wrong. But, 'Kay' was a totally normal name. Maybe less normal if Asher were to realize that it was literally a single letter, but he had no idea! "I hope I haven't bothered you any." In a need to second-guess this entire first-encounter, the spirit user even had to question if that was an appropriate response! Jeez, Asher! He really needed to get out and socialize with different 'people' more often!

The human seemed a little tense after that intial comment; she had more meant it as a joke than anything. She'd raise her eyebrows ever so slightly; the human seemed to be a bit on the defensive even so shortly after introducing herself as well as the reasoning behind the renamon's injuries. Was this just a natural state of things for humans? The one that had stopped at her inn seemed to be relaxed enough. Maybe it simply was the setting or just her general appearance that had unnerved the poor fellow.
She'd tilt her head slightly as the human spoke; seeming a little scattered but at the same time could she honestly blame him? She found her brow furrowing just a bit as he admitted that 'maybe' renamon's were rare. She'd chuckle softly; wondering who he had seen. She'd blink rapidly and peer at him; noting the distinct lack of a partner with them. Was this a renamon that had one of those things called a holosuit and was trudging around as a human? No she doubted that.
"Hmm. Well that's a pity I suppose. Used to be a lot more of us around I feel. What do you mean you haven't seen one aside from yourself? Are you a digimon?"
Honestly if they were they certainly picked a good face for them. Likely would fit right in with humans; without second glance she figured. The way they held themselves were certainly something they wouldn't immediately spot right? She'd nod slowly at his name; certainly hadn't heard any name like that in the digital world. Most of them were incerdibly simple and sometimes digimon didn't even have names other than their designated race! Or would just use their job rather than their name.
"A pleasure Asher. No You haven't bothered me any, if anything you're the first person other than the hospital mon's I've had the chance to talk to. Not many people in terminus want to interact with a injured mon past a few quizzical looks."
She'd chuckle and gesture with her good hand, the bad one laying on her lap. She could feel the contact and the pain still but it wasn't as bad as the other day. She could feel the nervousness still from the other quite clearly and she'd sigh softly.
"No need to really fret, I'm not some dainty maiden that's insulted when the wind blows. You seem full of questions and I'm not exactly going anywhere until I get my breath back."
She'd gesture to the bench, the open invitation of taking a seat easily there. That earlier energy she thought she had simply sliding out of her grasp. If she had actually stood the renamon figured she'd be dragging herself back onto the bench and waiting for a much longer period. Maybe she should of gotten a cane or something to prop herself up with. Though it'd be hard for her to open doors and the ilk without falling over...

Maybe Asher would be a little less tense if this wasn't his first time talking to a Digimon that wasn't somehow partnered up with someone else! He really wasn't sure of how socialization worked with Digimon, after all. For all he knew, approaching a stranger in public was a huge blunder! But, as the conversation began to actually progress without any hostility, he started to grow less tense.
"Not really," he admitted, with a small smile. Was it a bad choice to talk about what classification of human-trapped-with-monsters he was? Digivices really needed to come with in-depth guidebooks! "I'm a spirit user. A Renamon is my first spirit." It seemed like tamers and generals knew what spirit users were. Did Digimon know about them, too? Having no idea of K's background with human interaction, or lack thereof, he could only assume that a Digimon sitting in Terminus City would have met plenty of strange humans.
Out of reflex, the teen chimed an almost gentlemanly, "the pleasure's mine," before he could catch himself. Was that weird? Yeah. He was just weird, and really needed to face that fact! But, hearing how little socialization the Renamon had been participating in lately, the redhead only hummed, "is that so?" This was just confirmation that Asher couldn't fit the social norm for Digimon. Good thing he wasn't trying to blend in! "But, you don't bite," he found himself joking, in reference to what the Digimon had said when he had been staring at her.
With the offer presented, Asher moved to take a seat. Was the Renamon really that winded? Maybe, he should be more concerned about her wounds than he initially thought! "Maybe, a few," he admitted, while shifting to make sure he would be able to comfortably converse with K. "I have to ask, first, though," he started, with a teasing smile, "you didn't try to fight the Trailmon, did you?" Well, that would be one way to never be allowed to use public transit again!

K could feel the tenseness of the human still; but it felt a little less than earlier. Maybe it just helped she was being as friendly as she could be; without making it awkward she hoped. She tilted her head when he started to speak; so he wasn't a digimon? She felt a strange sense of relief there. It would of been incredibly.... She paused and stared at the human when the answer continued. He was a spirit user? A renamon? She was familiar with the concept but to actually meet someone that was... and had literally what she was as their first spirit? That would explain the staring and general confusion.
"First time meeting a spirit user... I've heard of them but I didn't put too much weight behind it. It makes much more sense than My initial thought. Explains the staring and surprise of yours honestly. I wonder if renamon's are... a slowly vanishing digimon or something.."
His 'gentlemanly' response would illicit a chuckle from the fox digimon; seems he knew proper manners or at least was well versed in dealing with people that spoke like that. Or perhaps humans were just much more formal than digimon were? She couldn't imagine talking to a numemon that way after all!
"So polite. But ah.. Yes. That is the case; but it's more because of the location than anything. Big cities, not everyone has time to deal with everyone's problems. Back near where my inn is; if I was that injured I'd have all the mon's there fussing over me!"
K would laugh softly and the laugh ended up turning into a few coughs. She'd of course cover her mouth while she did so, grimacing a little bit when they died out. She was still probably recovering from being shot there after all, she wouldn't be surprised if her chest hurt for a long time.
At his joke from her earlier statement she'd find herself grinning and chuckling. Obviously taking well to it; imagine if she did bite? It'd be a big surprise for him! But she most certainly did not. The human took her offer and sat down; much to the digimon's delight. She'd be able to make easier conversation with this human if they weren't standing. People tended to think about moving around if they were still on their feet. At least with this they'd have a semblance of a decent conversation!
"Hah, good. Questions are the spice of life."
She'd raise an eyebrow at his next bit though; what did he have to ask? That teasing smile alluding to something but she wasn't sure what. At his actual question she took a moment; blinked and stifled a laugh.
"Good heavens no! The trailmon was attacked by a group of troopmons. So another passenger and I ended up having to exit out of the trailmon, fight the troopmons and come to terminus. I'm not exactly cut out for fighting them as I am it seems. But at least I'm still breathing!"

Oh, so it was the Renamon's first time meeting a spirit user? Well, that was lucky. It was Asher's first time meeting a non-partnered, non-mercenary Digimon! But, he wasn't going to actually state that mouthful of specifics! "What was your initial thought?" Probably something creepy. Maybe Asher shouldn't have asked! But, the next lines were a little less lighthearted. "Or, mine just was very unlucky." Anyone trapped with Asher as their host was unlucky! Just ask Antylamon! "Maybe they're just good at being stealthy." Way to say that like you're not talking to a Renamon right now! But, considering his Sprite's ability to disappear in shadows, he could only imagine that others were capable of being just as sneaky, if not more. "...Which, would make sense, if they might be literally vanishing." Don't make a cruddy joke about that!
Glancing away for a second, Asher distracted himself enough to avoid blushing at all at being called out on his politeness. He hadn't even realized it at first! But, between etiquette lessons as a child, and working in a cafe, he really should be used to comments about it! "I guess that makes sense." It was probably like that in Human cities, too. Asher just didn't know firsthand! But, hearing that the Renamon was from elsewhere had created a bit more curiosity. Her inn? Did Digimon run inns?
...Of course they ran inns. Right now, the two of them were in a mall that was run exclusively by Digimon. Why couldn't they run inns, too?
But, before he could ask anything on the subject, the combination of coughing and the expression on the Digimon's face had changed his concern. Lifting a hand up, the redhead prepared to either try to comfort her or, in a worst-case, catch the Renamon. But, once everything had passed, the hand returned to his side. While reflex told him to inquire about her health again, the teen stopped himself. He already knew her answer from before, and after asking too many times, it would just get way too repetitive!
So, instead, he would just sit with her and talk about whatever could come to mind. Listening to the story, Asher remained silent, only blinking while trying to process that train attacks were a thing that actually happened. "Well, that sounds like an adventure," he finally responded, trying to avoid comparing it too much to some sort of Western-style Train-Hijacking movie. "You must have been good enough at fighting," the spirit user encouraged. Why couldn't K have digivolved? The way that she had worded it, it sounded like she did this all as a rookie! Was it not an option? To avoid being insensitive by inquiring, he decided not to ask. And, again, to avoid sounding insensitive, Asher would refrain from saying that the event actually sounded kind of fun!
"I have no idea what a Troopmon is, though," he chose to admit, with a small chuckle. If only humans were better at automatically identifying Digimon!

"Honestly; It's a little strange to me. I can't help but get the idea that your renamon looks like a normal one but with red fur Because of your fur there."
She'd gesture at his head with her good hand, looking extremely curious. K knew very ltitle about how spirits were actually formed and used; she had no idea what it took for a digimon to become spirit. Though she imagined it was something like that? Or perhaps she was wrong completely.
"With how my last few days I guess, I suppose I could understand if their luck wasn't fair."
A morbid chuckle and a shake of the head; her chest ached and she was starting to have an easier time breathing. But she didn't want to push it too far; if she did too much she might just be stuck to this bench until she managed to get someone to help her back to the hospital! Honestly why was she even out and about at this point?
"that's possible, I'm not exactly the sneaky sort! But I do have an ability that lets me relocate myself here and there so it wouldn't surprise me if they had something that fit in line with the ability to 'vanish'."
She'd shoot him a knowing smile from his statement; he seemed to be surprised once more about something she said. Was it the fact she ran an inn? Honestly at this point she shouldn't be surprised. She must not seem the sort to settle down and do something like that! That was the reason right? She noted that his hand had come up during when she had coughed, but was that just the human worry there again? She couldn't be sure. She'd sigh softly and shake her head at his statement about it being like an adventure. It was a major pain to her; she was now stuck with having to stay in terminus for a bit to heal up. She couldn't travel back home easily.
"I suppose it does; but it's also a problem for me. The end results are going to have me in terminus for a while rather than at home. My chefs aren't very good at being receptionists So I doubt we'll make anything while I'm out. Hah..."
She'd sigh softly and look at her bandaged hand. It was all right though, they had more than enough bits stockpiled up to make due for all the expenses of the month. Another reason she had picked that location was the ability to save up if need be, since everything save supplies was cheaper out there.
"Before I was an inkeeper, I fought in one of the angel armies a good while back. Up until they learned I was good at treating people because of my natural healing ability."
She'd hold up her good hand, the edges of it glowing softly. It was a warm and rather gentle light in comparison to how some attacks could have a very harsh one. She'd sigh wistfully and shake her head, the light dying out.
"For a rookie digimon I'd like to say I'm experienced enough to handle myself but.. the bandages are kind of an opposite sign of that aren't they?"
She'd sigh softly and shake her head; she certainly knew what she was doing across the board but she couldn't say that she was a specialist or somthing like that. If anything she had her hand dipped into far too many pots for that!
"They're a rare type of digimon. I didn't know what they were until I explained one out to my doctor. They wear grey hazmat suits and can use a variety of weapons. Very dangerous in larger groups even if they're individually weak."
Another sigh; she was starting to remember the pain from that night and her good hand gingerly placed itself on her chest. Out of everywhere that hurt the most consistantly; breathing in and out reminded her of the pain basically as long as she's concious.
"How does being a spirit user work exactly? You said earlier that you were a renamon and I'm still a little.. Uncertain as to what you meant by that.

"Hm? Fur?" Glancing up, as if thinking he would see his own hair, the teen snickered. Don't laugh about this! It's a genuine thought! "You mean, my hair?" Of course that's what she meant! "That's not actually how it looks. I turn very yellow, and," he paused, debating if it was even wise to open up the door for this conversation, "digivolving might change my apparent gender." That was one way of phrasing it! "Spirits really don't care what the human looks like."
It was a little bit worrying that K was the only one able to handle her business properly. But, at the same time, it could make sense. Not everyone was equipped with the ability to run a business in lieu of its owner! If only there was some solution for it! But, Asher couldn't really think of one. If he knew a single thing about running an Inn, he would offer, but that was just a horrible idea and K would probably return to find the building on fire.
But, with talk about being in the service, Asher raised an eyebrow. "Angel army?" The Digital World had armies? Well, that made sense, but it was also absolutely terrifying! What the heck? Where were these armies, and what were they doing? With any luck, Asher would never find out. "I know this is going to be a dumb question, I'm sure," he warned, before proceeding with, "but, why can't you heal yourself?" It would probably be a lot cheaper than seeing doctors in the city!
Still, Asher had to give a shrug, pulling his bandaged hand from his pocket. Not that any wound was visible, considering white medical tape was wrapped around his palm, and up his pinky-finger. "I wouldn't say that bandages mean you can't handle yourself." Except for the part where Asher really couldn't handle himself, and his own wound was probably proof of that! "In fact, being alive should be proof enough." Maybe Asher should stay away from the motivational speeches. It was just a bad idea.
Either way, Asher was going to make a mental note about the Troopmon. They didn't sound like a fun experience. He would have to remember not to cross groups of them, if he was even capable of identifying the monsters. They sounded pretty easy to spot, though.
As for how being a spirit user worked? "The details are a little hazy," the redhead hummed, trying to think of a way to explain everything. Shifting, he pulled his D-Scanner from his pocket, holding it in his palm to show the rookie. "Basically, there's a handful of Digimon that I can turn into. They've, uh." Word choices. Think of good word choices! This was hard to explain! "--Instead of coming back as eggs, they turn into totems associated with a theme or element. And, if I find the ones that belong to mine, I can become them. It's like regular Digivolving. I guess. Except from a normal person, to something that was alive. And, when I don't need to be in that form, I just turn back into myself." Did that make sense? Probably not. But it was better than 'I wear dead monsters' skin and steal their powers', wasn't it? Because that would have been a very morbid selection! "So, if I want to turn into Renamon, I just kind of digivolve into her. Same with the others."
Did that make humans equivalent to In-Training? That could be embarrassing. Good thing Asher didn't really know a thing about levels lower than rookie, otherwise he might be ashamed of how that power level could be considered! "Does that make sense?"

"Yes that, I didn't know that's what you called it."
K would tilt her head slightly and eye the human, curiousity plain on her features still. He'd start to explain out what he did.. well rather what being a spirit meant for the most part. She'd chuckle lightly when he suggested that it would change his gender. He wasn't wrong though, most digimon didn't care for humans or for other digimon. It was part of the bigger spectrum she found.
"By nature, Digimon don't have genders. We have masculine and feminine traits certainly. But that's just about it."
Another chuckle and she found herself grunting; that certainly still hurt. In fact it still hurt to breathe, it still hurt to move and it most certainly just.. Well. It hurt to just be. But that was a good thing she was told.
"Defunct now, has been for a good while. About a decade I think? I don't really know, time doesn't matter as much to me I suppose."
She wasn't wrong, the army had been long gone. But the time that she quoted was very much so wrong but she had no way of really knowing that. She'd raise her eyebrows slightly when Asher said that he had a dumb question. So she perked an ear and waited only to find it.. Well. Actually pretty simple of a question.
"I can, but it's just light wounds and what not. I had extensive damage almost to the point of having to de-digivolve to cope with it."
She'd ginger rub her muzzle, sighing softly. She wasn't sure what to say to that part but she had to agree being alive was certainly proof enough. Maybe she just was really lucky? Or maybe she just had done just the right things at just the right times. That fight was certainly still in her head and made her wince every now and again.
Now he went into more detail of how digivolving into a spirit worked. Or at least just the whole cocnept. She firmly nodded as he explained, her ears flicking back and forth as he did so. She tapped her muzzle thoughtfully, wondering if she'd ever end up as one. She'd shiver at the thought and shake her head; that wasn't a line she'd want to fall into. She liked having her own control but perhaps spirits were more about that working together thing than she.
"That all makes sense, it's very itneresting. I can say I wouldn't want to be a spirit personally but they must of had reasons for it. It's a pity about the red fur though, would of looked Nice I imagine."

Thinking on it, a lot of Digimon didn't really have regular old hair, did they? Sure, they had fur, manes, scales, and feathers. But, even out of his own current evolution line, only one really had a regular mop of hair. Though, as far as their genders went? It was odd to think that any of them didn't actually identify as female! "You'll have to trust that mine are incredibly feminine," he snickered, one corner of his mouth lifting to a half-smile. Why was he always the one getting stuck with awkward situations, like digivolving into women?
At least he wouldn't have to worry about angry armies, though. "I don't imagine there are enough wars to warrant an army," he commented, mostly to himself. It was pretty obvious that a human like himself would know little to nothing about this world! But, as far as he could tell, everyone could mostly settle their own fights with each other. Were there any actual laws on violence around here?
Probably not, considering the level of damage K had taken. If this were the human world, police would have been sent out to apprehend the attackers! If they were even still alive, that was. Otherwise, it would probably be a whole different sort of mess! Still, one part sat oddly in the teen's mind. "De-digivolve," he echoed, tilting his head with curiosity, "you mean, you can get smaller than that?" If this question wasn't obvious, Asher apparently hadn't spent enough time with Tamers to even understand there was something lower than rookie! Had Karin and Jeanne explained this? He couldn't remember!
Thinking through the Renamon's ability to heal, Asher tried to think on if any of his evolutions were capable of similar effects. After all, it was still cheaper than a doctor. Unfortunately, only one came to mind, prompting a small shudder to wiggle down the young man's spine. Antylamon. Yeah, no. He'd have to pass. Maybe K could just survive on bandages and sitting on benches all day instead.
"You know, I get this feeling that some of them don't really want to be spirits, either," the ex-actor smiled, giving a small laugh to try to indicate joking. Except, it really wasn't a joke. Antylamon had been pretty blunt about not having any interest in being strapped to a human! "I don't know about the red, though. I can't imagine a Renamon as anything other than yellow," he hummed, thoughtfully. Surely, there were places to dye fur around here, right? It would be pretty easy to know what they'd look like otherwise! But, he also wasn't too fond of finding out how any spirit acted when agitated. If Whiskers' love of her fur was any indicator, his spirit would not be happy with him if he turned her red! Maybe it would be better to just take a picture and edit that red, instead!

"Really now? That's a bit of a surprise, I'd think that they'd share a trait with you. I wonder what it could be..."
She tilted her head, looking thoughtful. Well it'd make sense if they had a trait that they shared right? It was something she'd have to consider; but then again she didn't know how spirits worked. How tamers worked or those generals worked. They were all so confusing to her!
"Not really no, not to my knowledge at least. I'm grateful at that since.. well. It wasn't exactly something you'd want around all the time either."
She'd rub her muzzle, wincing in pain as she could feel her arm struggle to move past a certain point. They had told her to treat it as normal and that pain was a good sign, but she had to feel that was absolutely rubbish. His next question made her pause and she'd slowly nod looking a little embarrassed.
"Y-yes.. It's been many a year since I was in that form. Back when I still lived with my 'parents' up in the northern most reaches. It's... strange to be in. Everything looks so much bigger."
She'd sigh again and shake her head; it was a frustrating form to be in. She could only do so much in it and she had to admit that she didn't exactly like it. It made her feel weak, useless and unable to do anything. She'd look down at her hands and then back to him blinking a few times.
"Really? That's a surprise; I wonder how they would of ended up being spirits. Maybe it's not a choice.. That's strange."
She looked rather thoughtful, rubbing at her muzzle with her good arm this time. She got a bit of a grin however when Asher said he couldn't imagine a renamon as anything other than yellow. She couldn't either but data was malleable and parents could have an effect on the offspring in strange ways. So she wouldn't be surprised if there was some alteration.
"I've never seen another renamon have another color, so I feel the same way. Yet I wouldn't be surprised if a red one existed."
There was a distinct pause and she'd look down at herself; ears flicking slightly as she thought about it herself. What would she look like in different colors? It was something she hadn't thought about before.
"...If you don't mind me asking, why are you here Asher? In the mall I mean. I imagine that you have something similar in your world?"

One really would think Asher's evolutions would somehow suit him. But, what would make his spirits actually share any traits? The teen certainly didn't find himself matching his element, at all, let alone the qualities that each spirit brought to the table! Maybe, they were meant to better him somehow. Or, just to torment him!
On a brighter note, it seemed that a resident of this world was agreeing on the lack of army necessities! Would K be part of another army, if it were to present itself? Judging from her already notable injuries, it wouldn't be something the redhead would really want to see. Not saying that injured rookies would be allowed to fight in a war! But, worse could happen, right?
Now, Asher had to wonder if Whiskers had tiny forms, too. What would she turn into? One of those blue cat-things from the village of babies? Then, the thought prompted of, "what do you look like, when you de-digivolve?" Was it like a child, and the differences were primarily in height certain little features? Or, was it far more notable than that? Did Digimon ever age in a normal, human-sort-of way? Probably not. There didn't seem to be many things that Digimon and humans had that closely in common!
As far as theorizing on what made a less-than-willing spirit become a spirit, Asher had one piece to suggest. "For the greater good, or something like that, probably?" Or, if they were forced into it, somehow! But, that was pretty unlikely, overall. Could Digimon really be dragged into the subject against their will? Considering how strong some of them seemed, Asher couldn't imagine as much! "I wonder if it's boring to be a spirit." The simple answer would be yes. But, maybe some found it more entertaining than others! What did the spirits do, when they weren't in use, anyway?
Raising a hand to tap his cheek, thoughtfully, the young man shrugged. "I mean, I can't imagine red would be a bad color on a Renamon." There were far worse options. Like neon green! Not that Asher was going to suggest that kind of alternative coloration! But, since he had already been thinking it, he had to ask, "do Digimon ever dye their fur other colors?" What about the ones with scales? That would probably be more complex. Or, it would just be the equivalent of soaking skin in colorful Kool-Aid. That didn't sound too appealing!
But, now that a question was directed at him, the man gave an innocent blink. Why was he here? "Hm? Yeah. We have malls in my world." Yellow eyes glanced about, looking over the windows of shops nearby. "My friend had a few errands she had to run, before we go back home, so I thought I'd kill some time looking around." It wasn't like he had anything better to do! What was Whiskers doing, anyway, that couldn't involve him?
Probably just checking on her apartment, or something. That always seemed to be her excuse for needing to run to the city. Then again, she probably had rent to pay, and didn't want to introduce her neighbors to the random human that walked around everywhere with her! "And, I was kind of curious if there was anything different here, than the ones at home." At least this sort of curiosity didn't run as high of a risk of getting hurt! Though, that prompted returning the question, too. "What about you? What brought you to the mall?"

K would rub her muzzle and look somewhat embarrassed about the query of what she looked like when she de-digivolved. She honestly off the top of her head couldn't really remember. It had been such a long time that she had seen that form that... Well. She had to imagine that it was just simply a Viximon or Relemon.
"I uhm. Well since I'm a renamon I'd like to think it's a Viximon or Relemon it's been a long time since I've.. been in that form at all so. Hard pressed to remember."
She looked a little baffled and rubbed the back of her head; wincing slightly at the jab of pain from her arm. She'd nod slowly and glance to the side at the mention of 'for the greater good'. It was something like that; but it was more closely to something like 'virus bad, we should purge them' and 'vaccine's are trying to purge us, lets fight back.' but was she really comfortable sharing that little bit? No. No she was not. She couldn't really say that the reasoning for that war was good in the least bit and she was happy that the vaccines actually lost that war. Who knew what the place would be if it was just data and vaccine after all?
"Something like that yes. A little more complicated than that though, but there's really no point in getting into that further.. it's just semantics after a point."
She'd pause at the query of if it was boring to be a spirit. She couldn't imagine that being the case. The spirits if they had died and never got the chance to come back would be ecstatic at seeing the world again wouldn't they?
"It has to be case by case, I'd imagine that they like most digimon have different opinions and views so... It wouldn't be fair to say all spirits find it boring."
She'd laugh softly and wheeze after a few moments. Her ribs flaring up just a bit. K would give the human a small smile at the idea of red not being a bad color on a renamon. Though at the next question she'd pause and blink slowly. Dye their fur? She'd look down at her fur, blinking slowly and thoughtfully.
"It'd certainly grab attention! I imagine that they could dye their fur, but it'd be a hassle. Especially if you didn't want your fur color to just be one instance. It might be easier to just mess with the coloration data on the surface. Though that might mess up things... But it'd certainly be 'easier'."
She'd nod her head a few times at Asher's answer. It was certainly something that made sense to the renamon. After all what was she suppose to really think about humans otherwise? Weren't digimon and humans two sides of a somewhat similar coin?
"That's fair, is it any different to where you're from?"
She'd tilt her head a little bit and then pause at the question directed at her. She'd give a small smile and put the somewhat less injured limb over the bandages on her chest.
"...Getting clothing actually. Fur's going to take a while to grow back and.. I'd rather not have my customers see the patches in the meantime. Figured something with long sleeves and if possible something long enough to cover the upper part of my legs. So what better place to find something like that.. than at the mall?"
