MPC 43: We're Wizards Apparently [Partner Human]

This is an MPC that I'll be doing with my Colin and Sophie accounts. I'll do it over the next few days.
It was a warm, sunny day in the digital world. Here in the picturesque village of Ayubis, nestled in the Mainframe Hills area, three completely unremarkable digimon were resting after a long day's work. Three brothers that were seeking a way forward in the world, and, sadly, for the most part, not really getting very far.
The eldest was Lantis, a Leomon. Towering over his younger siblings, the lion man wore nothing other than a tribal necklace and a pair of leather trousers. A fairly skilled laborer, but, sadly, a laborer only had so much work in a small village like this. And thus he spent much of his day bored and trying to get to score with the other digimon of the village, but, had thus far been unsuccessful.
The middle sibling, while the smallest, was Luke, an Elecmon. Dressed in a flannel chequered shirt, the red and white furred digimon had a strong mind, but, lacked the appendages to make his thoughts into creations. After all, with only three claws on either paw, he struggled to hold even the simplest tool. He too was struggling to make ends meet.
And the youngest one was Bellamy the Impmon. His case was a digimon that had invested all in Charisma with little else to show for it. Yes, he tried to do magic tricks, but, was otherwise entirely unremarkable.
This was a kind of a downer weekend for the three of them. Out of work, with not enough money other than anything but the essentials, none of them really knew what to do from here on. Still though, there was a family rapport between the three of them. Even if they were struggling, at least they had a positive relationship between each other.
On this day, the three of them decided to wander out to the grassy hills surrounding their town. And there, they decided to simply catch up, appreciating each others' company. They laid down in the grass next to each other, looking up at the sky, wishing something of good fortune would pass them by.
"Yannow, guys" Bellamy sighed, looking up at the sky. "Doin' the same thing every day gets kinda boring. Wake up, go to work, come back home, sleep, repeat until the weekend. Heh, would be neat to go on an adventure sometime, right?"
"Suppose it would be" Luke agreed, laying down next to him.
"Heh, who knows? Maybe somethin'll happen soon?" Bellamy asked.
"Oh please, Bellamy, magical beings from another dimension don't just fall out of the sky" Luke scoffed. And then at once, a black haired creature appeared above them, yelling as he plummetted to the ground, but cushioned his fall with some kind of wind spell, landing on his feet.
"...Cute Bearmons and BlackGuilmons that might be attracted to Elecmons don't just fall out of the sky" Luke said. Nothing happened. "...damn it" he muttered.
Before they could investigate though, a second figure joined them. Luke, Bellamy and Lantis sat up as they watched a second figure appear, this time gracefully landing on the ground, a pair of white glowing wings gracefully guiding her to the ground. At once, the three digimon saw that these two individuals looked rather a lot like each other. Furless other than black fur on their heads, both of them wearing elegant clothing, and both seeming like they were the same species.
Almost immediately, they noticed the three digimon, then stared for a moment, before relaxing a little.
"Aha, we made it to their world, Soph" the creature with the shorter hair remarked. He was dressed in a long shirt with leather armor covering his chest, wearing a pair of loose dark pants.
"Yes, I was just about to say" the other creature said, her voice a slightly higher pitch than the other. She seemed to be dressed in a neat outfit lined with metal armor, a golden fleur-de-lis decorating her torso. "Hello there. I apologize for us barging in on you like this, but, we had little choice".
"Yeah" the other creature added. "My name's Colin James and this is my twin sister Sophie. We're humans, and... well... suppose better break it gently... we're your partners".
Lantis, Luke and Bellamy were temporarily lost for words.

It had been a long journey for Sophie and Colin to get to this moment. The two of them had been born as fraternal twins during the night of falling stars in their home world, where magic was said to be at its strongest. And indeed, growing up through these years, magic had been strong between them.
Sophie James was the elder of the twins. Her powers rested in the internal - in maintaining utmost control of her inner workings. She rarely expressed any emotion that was outside of her control. While not coming across as a soulless robot, she found that nothing could faze her or shock her into a position of weakness. And with this gift, Sophie trained for physical combat, cladding herself in elegant armor and training herself with skill at swordfighting.
Sophie had much to thank her father for. While he had not taken upon himself to learn to use the ancestral weapon for the James family, he had made sure to hire the finest instructors in the lands to train her to use it as well as her grandfather had. And she simply hoped she was good enough for the task at hand.
Colin James meanwhile had powers of the external kind. All his life, he had struggled to control them. While many other boys his age grew up dreaming of having the power to rend the skies with lightning and bend fire to his will, Colin had achieved this from the age of five. And it was a power he had struggled with. He had often lost control and cast thunderbolts and flames in moments of emotion. But it was his mother's patient and steady teachings that had taught him to control it.
And now, the twins were ready - to journey to the world of the monsters, and bring balance to this place, else the delicate balance of light and darkness in both their worlds would be destroyed.
Sophie blinked as she saw the digimon for the first time. She had been told that these were beings of legend, but, she simply saw a muscular lion man who was only wearing leather pants; a rabbit creature with red and white fur with an array of nine feathers on his tail; and a limber cat creature with purple and white fur, wearing a red scarf and nothing else.
However, this was not the time to forego diplomacy. As Colin disclosed that they were meant to be partners, Sophie bended her knee and lowered her head, telling these beings of their destiny.
"It is our sworn duty to protect this world and defeat those that threaten the lives of the innocent" she said. "Destiny has determined that our paths would cross, so therefore we wish to do all we can to prevent catastrophe".
It was this sentence that made the three digimon stir from their shock somewhat. Luke spoke first.
"Catastrophe?" he repeated. "What do you mean? Is something bad going to happen?"
"Yeah, we were told that" Colin replied. "Basically, a vile and cruel digimon is poised to seize control of your world, and if we allow him to succeed, both of our worlds will be destroyed".
"Oh that? Don't worry about that" Bellamy chuckled, waving his paw dismissively. "The results are pretty much in the bag, he won't win..."
"Guys, don't be so sure..." Lantis said, his attention turning to the television. A Lekismon was speaking with a very frightened expression on her otherwise professional face.
"We at the Conveniently Timed Breaking News Channel are giving you this breaking news" she said. "HairpieceNumemon has taken over as leader of the digital world".
"Oh no... are we too late?" Colin asked, looking horrified.
"No..." Sophie said, clasping the hilt of her sword. "Our purpose has just begun", and she turned to Lantis, Luke and Bellamy. "If we want to make this right, we need your help. Will you assist us?"

These developments were really too much for the likes of Lantis, Luke and Bellamy. For one, they could never have imagined that such a vile and disgusting creature could have seized control of their world. Especially when he had divorced his wife and was starting to make really... disturbing moves toward his daughter. But that was beside the point.
"We can't have this" Luke declared. "This bastard is gonna kill us all..."
"Hashtag but her emails" Bellamy quipped. Luke gave him a glare that said "Don't start with that crap now, Bellamy". The Impmon's grin faded and withdrew a little.
"Well, it's happened now, so, what are we gonna do about it?" Colin asked, curiously. "I mean, he clearly has a lot of support... despite being an animated piece of shit with at toupee, if we just go ahead and kill him I don't think that will solve your problems".
"That is true" Lantis admitted. "Somehow, we need to prove to everyone that he is unfit to rule, so everyone can agree that a literal animated turd can't possibly stand as leader of the digital world".
Luke agreed with this. "Much of his support comes from digimon that are scared that they'll evolve into pieces of shit too, so, they put all their faith in him that even if they evolve into turd spitting slugs, one of them has managed to take over".
"But that isn't the worst of it" Lantis argued. "This particular turd-spitting slug wants to enact things that will destroy our world. Like... burning the data of digimon that died long ago to make factories work. And let's not forget this whole crap about banning healing. It's like... why? Just why?".
"Okay, so, it's agreed that they're a bad person" Sophie said loudly. "But we need your power to make it so".
"And so, Luke, Bellamy and Lantis, we ask your help" Colin said to them. "It's going to be a hard battle, but, the sooner we strike, the better. Do we have your support on this?"
"...yeah" Bellamy admitted. "Okay. We're listenin', just... make this happen alright?"
"We'll do our best" Sophie promised.

Meanwhile, in HairpieceNumemon's castle in Terminus City, there was a gathering of his dastardly underlings as he gleefully celebrated the success of his coup. "Yess, excellent! I have now proven that I am the greatest person in the world!" he declared. "You sure have, boss, Ba-ha-ha-haaa!" the Kokatrimon secretary crowed. "So uhh what's next, boss?" a dull sounding Tankmon advisor asked. "First of all, we shall build a factory in the middle of the mainframe hills!""And what will this factory produce, dahhlink?" Senator Natasha, a Mervamon with a heavy Russian accent asked. "It will fill the surrounding rivers and grasslands with toxic sludge of course!" HairpieceNumemon declared. "But what will it produce sir?" Senator Boris, a little Kougamon repeated the question, also with a thick Eastern European accent. "Toxic sludge, you nimcongressman!" HairpieceNumemon snapped. "The purpose of this factory is only to only cause harm to its surroundings! Because I can't stand other people having nice things! Gahaha!""Duhh, that sounds great, boss!" said Muggsy the Citramon. And thus the rest of the meeting went like this, with various stock standard evil henchmen basically agreeing to everything that was said at the conference table.
Meanwhile, outside Luke, Bellamy and Lantis's house, the five of them were preparing to travel to Terminus city. All of them were bustling with excitement, "We'd best hurry to the Trailmon station if we don't wanna miss it" Luke advised, looking at his watch. "Actually we were thinking of going another way" Sophie said, winking. "All you have to do is use these" she thus gave them two devices - one to Lantis and one to Luke and Bellamy. Curiously, the digimon accepted them and pressed buttons. They gasped as light shone from them, culminating in glowing spell circles appearing under their feet. Music began to play from nowhere. And then Colin and Sophie sang as they began to fly, their digimon partners at their side. Finally, they landed in Terminus, a short distance from the dastardly castle of HairpieceNumemon. "...was the singing necessary?" Bellamy asked, looking unamused. "Yeesh, the amount of cheesiness in that performance made me sick!" "Sorry about that, we pretty much have to do it to keep the circles going" Colin said, apologetically. "Anyways, let's do this".The group of five finally began to proceed toward the castle, where they would soon confront the malignant monster.

Luke, Bellamy and Lantis couldn't believe what was happening here. These... "humans" were amazing beings. They could fly, they could use magic, and it seemed that they were the last hope to prevent the disaster that would soon spread throughout the digital world.
"How are we gonna get into the castle though?" Lantis asked them, the Leomon apprehensive about the task ahead. "I mean, we can't just walk in there and be allowed into the elevator up to his office, right?"
"And... uh... we're not gonna actually kill him, right?" Luke added, suddenly a little uncomfortable with the prospect.
"Nope, we'll just beat him up a bit and teach him a lesson, then everything will be alright again" Colin said, brightly. The digimon stared. "What? I'm 14 and this is a cartoon, that's how all problems are solved, right?"
"Technically it's an anime" Bellamy corrected him.
"Silly Bellamy, anime isn't real" Sophie chuckled. The digimon exchanged awkward expressions, this probably wasn't all that much of a good idea now. "Anyway, the plan is simple, we'll make our way in through the back door, then gradually make our way to the top".
"Can't we just fly in through the window though?" Luke asked.
"NO!" Bellamy snarled. "I ain't gonna listen to that music again, damn it!"
"Back door it is then" Luke sighed. And so the group explored the perimeter of the castle, looking for an entrance while keeping out of sight of the guards that surrounded it. Eventually, at the very back, they noticed a small door that wasn't guarded at all.
"Aha, the one fatal flaw in the plan of this tyrant!" Colin declared, walking up to the door. "I bet he wasn't counting on this eh? Maybe he should invest in some more security!" he turned the doorknob, it did not open. "...oh, it's locked" he said, slightly crestfallen.
"Hey Lantis, you're a big guy, for me, can you break it down?" Luke asked the Leomon.
"Not exactly a subtle entrance, but sure, okay" Lantis shrugged, and the muscular lion man aimed a heavy kick at the door. Still, it didn't budge.
"Looks like it's up to me then" Colin sighed, then raised a finger. At once, a fireball was conjured.
"Hey! Careful! What are you doing?!" Bellamy asked, shocked at the display of magic.
"Badda-boom!" Colin shouted, and hurled the fireball at the door, blasting it off its hinges.
"...what the hell kind of a magic spell is that?!" Luke asked, sweatdropping. "I mean... badda boom? The hell?!"
"Hey, it ain't so bad" Bellamy objected. And thus the group entered the castle.
"Ah, so this is the wine cellar" Sophie said, looking around at their surroundings. "So then, we head up this way, right?" she motioned toward the stairs. The five of them climbed up, until all of a sudden, they were confronted by two evil henchmen in the entrance hall. A BlackWereGarurumon and a Doggymon.
"So, you think you could simply waltz in here without anyone knowing eh?" one asked. "Insolent fools! You simply cannot accept that you lost power! Isn't that right, Muttley?"
"Razzafuzzarazza" the Doggymon said, then snickered in a very wheezy voice.
"And now we, Dick and Muttley shall stop you! Attack!" the BlackWereGarurumon leaped forward, as did the Doggymon.
"Oh you poor fools" Sophie sighed, drawing her sword, which began to glow with magic energy. "Aurora Blazer!" she cried, and swung the sword once, sending a powerful wave of energy at the approaching enemy. At once, Dick and Muttley were smacked into the wall, both knocked out cold.
"Impressive" Lantis remarked. They thus proceeded onward, climbing up the castle, gradually making their way to the final enemy.

The journey through the castle was long and arduous, with much secretaries and assorted henchmons blocking their path. At one point they even captured Bellamy and were threatening to deport him to the Dark Area for being a virus attribute, but Colin saved him just in the nick of time, casting a well aimed Sparkling Thunder attack.
"Looks like we're blasting off agaaain" the Immigration secretaries cried as they shot out the window, before disappearing with a bright twinkle in the distance.
Then, at last, they stood at the entrance to HairpieceNumemon's office. "Here goes nothing..." Sophie remarked, and opened the doors. HairpieceNumemon appeared to be talking in a video call to Bacchusmon, the leader of the North Dark Area.
"Join me, Hairpiece, and I will make your face the greatest in the world! Or else you will DIE!" he said.
"You don't frighten me, Kim, so shove your nuclear treaty up your ass!" Hairpiece spat back. Colin cleared his throat. The slimy digimon noticed and turned around, turning off the call. "Who the hell are you?"
"Yeah, hi, we're from the Special Investigation" Luke said, folding his arms. "As in, the investigation into how you think you're the leader of the digital world without even being elected".
"I was so too elected!" HairpieceNumemon snapped, jumping onto his desk in fury. "All my friends voted for me!"
"But you can't have an election if not everyone can vote, you idiot" Sophie said, shaking her head. "You know what? I'm through with this. Let's throw down!"
"So, you want to go a few rounds, eh?" HairpieceNumemon asked, flipping his hairpiece. "Fine then! Believe me, this attack won't hurt you a bit!"
And at once, he threw globules of disgusting pink sludge at Colin and Sophie, whalloping them in the stomach. They were thrown back into the doors, the wind knocked out of them.
"Oh no! They're no match for his fake news attack!" Luke gasped, running to Colin. Lantis tended to Sophie, the Leomon's eyes wide with worry.
Bellamy meanwhile remained standing, the digivice in his paw. "Well I hope this ain't gonna play cheesy music again..." he said. "But it's our last chance! You can beat him, Colin, I believe in you!"
"Yeah..." Lantis agreed, taking out his digivice. "Sophie, I might not be able to do much, but I know you can!"
At once, both humans began glowing with light. The digivices shone brightly, and at once, their clothes transformed, becoming far more elegant and intimidating.
"W-what is this?!" HairpieceNumemon snarled. Colin acted first.
"This is the power of friendship, you monster!" he shouted. "Ark Lightning!" at once a thunderbolt shot from his hand, toasting HairpieceNumemon to a crisp.
"You'll pay for that!" HairpieceNumemon snarled in defiance. "I'll use my Dog Whistle attack!"
At once a large crowd of angry henchmons appeared in the office, waving around tiki torches. But Sophie had had enough, she drew her fist, then with a shout of "Fist of the Beast King!" she sent a lion-shaped fireball straight at the demented demagogue, blasting him and the henchmons backward out the window.
"Yay we did it!" Luke cheered, dancing with Bellamy in celebration. And other than the brief civil war that followed over the threat of humans to the digital world as they overthrew the leader, they all lived happily ever after.
The End.
