"Come on, General don't be this way!"
Another telepathic message was shot into his head by the weird black thing following him, sure he managed to stay out of everyone's sight but he did keep sending messages the young kid's mind periodically, eventually after Edgar refused to give his name the little being started calling him General by the time they made it to the housing district, eventually Edgar figured out that this thing must actually be real and not just a figment of his stressed imagination, so this had to stop now. Walking past his house and going towards the forest behind Edgar went a fair bit in before stopping waiting for the little thing to come over.
"Ahh, you finally stopped, is this just a place we can talk?"
Artimon quickly flew towards him still holding the device in its arms, presenting it to Edgar once again. Edgar looked at the small creature, it was half his size at least. But he shook his head deciding he needed some answers.
"Why are you following me, How can you talk to me like that."
He sounded a bit agitated as he asked, but his hands remained in his pockets and eyes never left the small things.
"I'm following you because you're my General, so come on take your Xros Loader, you'll need it. Also, I'm telepathic."
This was an answer, but not one that Edgar was ready to hear, shaking his head trying to think of what the heck all that could mean.
"I'm not your General! I've never seen anything like you before. Some Telepathic hooded angel? I don't even know what you are."
That was a little louder than he'd prefer. hopefully no one close by heard.

What was Amelie doing in a freaking forest at this time of the evening? Plan, old curiosity, of course! Truth to be told, she hadn't ever been in Shibuki thus far, and the chance of entering had presented itself pretty handily; why not seize it?
In a stark contrast with the city, looking at the sun hiding under the horizon in the green expanse was a clearer and quite the beautiful sight, she had to add. The brunette couldn't but gaze at the event with open eyes focused in an amazed gaze. Truly breathtaking.
However, her evening wouldn't end there. Soon enough she seemed to... hear? a voice coming from the distance; she couldn't hear it clearly, but that only piqued her curiosity even more. Treading towards the direction where she had heard it, both the digimon and the small kid entered on her line of sight. A digimon, huh? Well, at least he didn't look to be of the harmful type.
Right behind a couple of trees, she saw them and kinda was... a little too close. Trying to hide her presence at this point would probably be an exercise in futility. "Hi." She said in a friendly manner, slightly waving her hand. "Hope I'm not interrupting something. I was just walking by and heard a noise so I went to check it out. You guys okay?"

And now another person had decided to come over, luckily this time it was something Edgar could handle, another human, who didn't seem at all confused at the small angel that was floating in front of her, how was a mystery to even Edgar. Though she was hiding near a tree and that added a bit more mystery, but it was still better than small talking psychic angle mystery. Checking over he looked at her, then looked up at her eyes. She seemed to be quite older than him. Still, Edgar gave a small breath and gave a small wave back, he was about to talk, except the little thing in front of him beat him to it.
"You're not interrupting anything, I'm just talking to my General, no cause for concern."
A voice sounded in both their heads, the angel cocked his head to the side closing his eyes in a type of smile, This though made Edgar shake his head. returning his hands to his pockets, Still confused at this whole ordeal. "You didn't interrupt, Ma'am. It's just this, the thing started following me, he keeps talking in my head and calling me General." He gave a small sigh of relief though. "I'm glad you did come over though, I thought it was just a figment of my imagination. Starting to kinda freak out. Do you, know what this little thing is?" The small digimon simply shook his head.
"I told you, I'm Artimon and you're my General."
He declared as if that answered anything, obviously this wasn't getting Edgar anywhere.

Well, wasn't this interesting? It didn't take the teenager much time to guess that these two were newish acquaintances and that the digimon had a somewhat obnoxious way of expressing his desire of being the kid's partner. She began to close the distance between them; while she wasn't the most experienced in this whole digital matter, at least she could help the guy feel a little less confused. That'd be good enough, right?
Artimon would probably find it curious, but every time he spoke into the brunette's mind, he'd hear just the slightest amount of interference, just akin to radio static. It wasn't something that impeded their communication at all, even if the detail was probably worthy of note.
"Huh, I see." The brunette said in response to the angel before snickering at the boy's words. "I think I'm not old enough for ma'am just yet. Just call me Amy if you're okay with that. So... do you need help with this little guy?"
It was obvious that this digimon pragmatism was resulting into some awkwardness and the teenager supposed it was her job to shed some light on it. "This guy." She pointed at the angel. "Is more or less like a puppy. A puppy with superpowers that won't take no for an answer. Right now, you have one of the bigger choices of your life in front of you. You can decide to pick him up... or not. Wish I could be clearer, but if you wish to pretend this didn't happen and keep on with your life as normal, this is probably for the best."

Edgar looked at the teenager for a moment before looking back at the small. "Puppy." A super-powered puppy that he was apparently the general of at least according to this teenager. To either ignore or to take up. While he did wish she would just give a bit more information about this whole thing. Again the small creature handed over the device to his hands, Edgar looked at the ground for a moment, eyes hidden under his hoodie. "Wish you could be clearer also if I'm honest." He responded before reaching down and taking the device out of the stubby little hands of the creature, the second he did through the item in questioned sudden turned on the screen glowing a faint white
"I probably couldn't just ignore it, it's just too weird and I'm curious. Don't know if that's a bad thing though." After all tiny angel appearing and apparently offering superpowers, this was just like some of the shows he watched, and those always ended up good, right.
"Horray welcome aboard General, and thank you static lady, Er Amy," Artimon said nearly bouncing in the air. Apparently, he was happy the eleven-year-old decided to pick him up. Edgar simply looked at him giving a small smile before looking back at Amy. "Since I made that choice is there anything else you can tell me about all this?" Edgar asked figuring that whole secret thing was just in case he decided not to take the angel.
"Also what's a puppy?" Artimon asked curious, after all, he was just described as one, though it was hard to tell if he'd feel elated or sad at the comparison.

Well, that probably was it then. Both deciding he wanted to know more and that he'd pick the digimon, there was no reason for Amelie to keep on with being cryptic. Taking a deep breath, she began to speak.
"Well, hope you're ready for a crazy ride, then." The brunette said with a small smile. "By all means, I'm not an expert on the matter, but I guess I can help you a bit. First off, these dudes are called digimon, and, as you might've guessed, they're alien to our world."
She decided to let that piece of information to sink in. It probably was a hard pill to swallow, but one the boy would have to deal with. "They come from this place called the Digital World, which is more or less like your average fantasy world, with fire-breathing lizards, talking animals, and that stuff. Now, sometimes, a digimon can sneak out of its world and come to ours; some are aggressive and are out for blood, but others are just naturally drawn to humans. Sometimes, even to a certain human."
Point driven, this probably was when dude would realize what was happening to him. "So, you got that golden ticket. Angel guy decided to choose you as his partner, and that probably will lead to you adventuring into a strange, yet fantastic and dangerous world and live things most kids could only dream of living. Or get yourself killed if you're not careful, not going to sugarcoat that fact."
This probably was enough for now, and probably even excessive. No need for her to add anything else, at least for now. So, instead, she directed her gaze towards the small angel. "Static lady?" Amelie's lips gave way to a short giggle. "That's a funny nickname if I've heard them. No biggie, angel-guy. You'll probably discover what's a puppy soon enough."

This was quite a lot to take in. Was it too late to go back? Probably. "Don't worry General, so long as I'm with you I won't let you get killed," Artimon swore as he threw a small stubby fist in the air, while that was nice it really didn't give the kid much confidence in the thing that's smaller than him, then again he was said to be a super-powered being, eh digimon. Still, this was something, and the fact it was something given to him, chosen if you would. Made Edgar feel that more special, even if danger surrounded the fact.
"If you say so." Artimon left it at that, after all, might as well trust the lady giving them exposition, very scary exposition but all the same. "So, how do you know so much about this? Do you have a digimon with you?" Edgar asked before putting his hands back in his pockets, device and all. "And, thank you. I'd hate to think how I'd be if It was just me. This is really jarring. Digimon, another world. Like something out of a storybook." Edgar remembered to thank her for some help, at least some was better than none, especially when dealing with a Saturday cartoon-like event

Seemingly, the weight of those words had impacted the kid a little too much. Maybe she had spoken too quickly? Well, sooner or later he'd have to deal with that piece of information, so the brunette guessed it was for the best. Better to know all the risks involved, right?
Artimon seemed to be quite confident in himself, however. That probably was a good sign, at least if he had the power to back up his words. Eh, in all honesty, if he didn't have it, he'd probably get it soon enough, given some dedication.
Soon enough, her thoughts were interrupted by a lone question. Why did he know so much about this? Turning to face the kid, her first reaction towards it was to grin. "I've had my experiences with the whole thing, I guess. Don't have a digimon with me, though; wasn't as lucky, I guess? Doesn't matter, anyway." She made a small pause before continuing. "You're welcome, and if you ever need more advice or something, feel free to ask, even if I'm sure that Artimon over here will be way better than me at explaining how things work in his own world, amirite? Nothing like a native to explain the customs."
Was her job done in here? As the panorama began to turn orange due to the setting sun, she concluded that it had been a pretty good introductory. "I don't know about you, but I'm sure sunset's when most kids should return to their homes. Do you live far from here? I could give you a ride if you wanna."

So she had no partner to speak of, that gave a lot more weight to the words she just said, it was dangerous and she didn't even have a partner. Even just thinking about that with what she said sent a chill down Edgar's spine. Though he quickly shook that feeling off, if she was this calm while talking about it he was sure it couldn't be THAT bad, she gave him fair warning though and he was determined to see this through at least, warning or no warning.
"I'm sorry to hear that." The fact she said he had a golden ticket while she didn't make Edgar feel a bit worse, though not much considering he really didn't do much to get this, just a luck of the draw he supposed. Artimon simply nodded. "Yup, I can get the General up to speed, At least on most stuff." Then Artimon looked down. "Suppose I was being a bit pushy though, whoops." He should probably remember to actually explain than just keep asking, lessons to be learned.
Edgar looked up at the sky if he was honest he didn't really feel like going home, for a multitude of reasons but she was right. "Yeah you're right, I don't live far, actually had to pass my house to get here, didn't want to bring a tiny angel I don't know back home. 'd be a bit awkward without talking to it first," Edgar admitted, the forest just seemed like a better place to talk about it, not many onlookers like school. Edgar simply pushed his backpack farther up before heading that way. "I suppose I might see you around, Take care." He said offering a small wave as he started to walk home

Guy seemed to be a little scared about the whole ordeal; maybe Amy had exaggerated it a bit? Well, maybe she had to tell him that cities weren't supposed to be that dangerous? Nah, that was something he'd probably enjoy on doing by himself. For now, she considered her job done.
Giving him a smile, she waved dismissively at his words. "No need to be sorry about it, mate. I'm doing pretty fine without one. And frankly, I don't feel the need of having one." Now, maybe she was getting a little too cryptic, so she left the topic to lie there.
After giving an approving nod to Artimon, she couldn't but giggle a bit at his words. "Hope you get to be a bit more patient with the kid when explaining stuff to him. Try to not overload him with info and stuff. I'm sure you'll do a good job, angel-guy."
One final nod was given to the boy. There was nothing else to do here, then. "Guess we'll be seeing each other around, then. Have a good evening." With those words said, the brunette turned around and began doing her steps, finally getting back to where she had chained her bike. Cycling home would help her unwind a bit.
Not to say that the gaze of the sunset had been pretty. She definitely should hang out in the forest more often. Place was definitely interesting.
