"I can meet at 9:30, I have to help mom with some chores around the house first. But uh, a few things about the digital world first; um... one..." She paused to consult with Gotsumon briefly. What do I say, I've never been in charge before? Relax. Gotsumon assured her. Just follow my lead and say everything I tell you to say.
"One, don't wander off. There's a lot of people and digimon around s-so if you get lost it's possible we might never end up seeing each other because uh... phones don't work too well there. No cell phone towers or internet access points, I guess? Two, if we do end up separated from each-other, we meet back at the train station, the same terminal we arrived in. Th-three, we're just going to the city and the fields, you're really pretty." Carrie stopped and seemed to turn white once she realizes what Gotsumon had her say. The rock monster laughed and laughed and laughed as Carrie covered her mouth and blushed furiously. "I-I mean they're really pretty! They're very nice, you'll like both of them." The sooner she could get to the Digital World and Spirit Digivolve again the sooner she could explain her weirdness to her new friend. If she hadn't already scared her off. She drank some more of her tea, trying to recollect herself.
What? She is really cute. I'm not into girls, but you, maybe? Gotsumon speculated. Shut uuuuup! Just saying.
"Four, I'm really, really sorry, Freudian slip... I mean, you are nice but I don't think we know each-other well enough for um..." Oh god she was floundering, oh god, oh god, this is why she doesn't have friends off of the internet, for specifically this reason.

Half past nine was okay for her, as evidenced for the nod Catherine would get right afterward. It'd make her schedule a little looser and would result in less of a risk of getting there late in case anything unexpected happened.
What would come next would be a long-winded explanation about what was okay in the world and that wasn't. Amelie figured she'd get to learn those pretty quickly, but having a bit of a crash course wasn't that bad either.
The brunette listened attentively to what her newfound mentor would say, at least until she got to the last part of point number four; she had to exercise a good amount of willpower to not guffaw at the slip, giggling entertained instead.
"That pickup attempt was as smooth as a car crash." She commented, not resisting the urge to make a teasing remark. "It's okay, I knew what you meant, don't worry. So, tomorrow at half past nine, it is? I'll be waiting for you at the station's entrance if that's fine."
Would this be all for today? Maybe. For now, it seemed like their business was concluded, Catherine felt somewhat more at ease with herself, and even if that wasn't a really good metric to know if she felt better or not, at least that had been Amy's good deed of the day. Not finding anything else to add to the conversation, she just stood up.
"Guess that's all for today then. See you tomorrow, Catherine; I'm looking forward to our small outing." An impish grin and a wink followed suit before she turned around and began to walk outside the campus.
She had much to think about. [Exit Thread]

Carrie sighed, thankful her new friend was willing to let that go. "Yeah! It-it'll be interesting, at least." She said, smiling softly and waving her off. "Thanks for the drink, too!" You're welcome. Gotsumon said, smugly. "Don't be so proud of yourself, you didn't do anything but make me crack up again." As opposed to what? Sitting down in class, silently working both our souls into the daily grind? I was a farmer before a warrior, kid. I didn't need an education to farm meat and crack skulls, neither will you. "I will need an education to get employed and stay on the fast track to success." She countered, upset. "I can't get my money from the digital world, that won't work to keep my parents from worrying about me." Worry about YOU, not your parents! What do you think, hm? What do you think, not what society will think, all that stuff, what do you feel like when you talk to me, when you met her, when we both met new friends and saw those new places for the first time? For a kid who talks to herself you sure have a lot of problems with yourself.
Carrie fell silent, unsure how to respond to that. She drank her tea and looked at her Digivice's clock. It was almost time for her mother to pick her up. She picked up her bag and left the cafeteria, tossing away the empty can. [End Thread]
