Rules.
It was always rules here, and it was always rules there. The human world reminded her so heavily of luminas in both structure and law that.. well. It felt oppressive in comparison to her normal life. But it was things she understood, structure she understood.
It wasn't so much the rules as it was the people that she didn't understand. Humans were of course weak on their own but they could accomplish so much together in such a short amount of time. You could tell by the ones constructing buildings, those directing them and those idly watching from the streets.
Why was it in this scope of things that humans were more successful than their digital counterparts? She had yet to meet another digimon that was as well traveled or well versed with moving between the human and digital world as ones that went around with tamers.
It made her entire discussion with Sophie feel like a resounding joke. Well. It made her feel like a resounding joke. She couldn't help but wonder quietly to herself as the day chugged on about the sheer power that some of the tamers she met would have or did have.
But then she was reminded of a sour fact; grunting underneath her helmeted head she'd snap the large rulebook shut. To those walking by or such the figure she had chosen didn't really have much of a face to look at. Which was fine with her; seeing as most of those she could of picked from really didn't appeal to her.
It was very fitting for the vehicle she had chosen to get around in japan; being a motorcycle and all but... Sometimes if she wasn't riding it people seemed to stare. She could sit here and gripe, but at the same time she could go back to reading.. or.. Do something to help out somewhere.
Aegis huh. I wonder if I should check in and see if anything has changed...

It was as they had expected, another one. The achromatic swirls of heavy fog that materialized from nowhere clouding the once peaceful park. Most people would just avoid the area, maybe find it dangerous to walk through when you couldn’t see – and they while they were correct. Rie and her partner Veemon ran straight into the grey daze without a backward glance.
“Can you see anything yet?” Rie called, whilst trying to bat away the fog. “Not yet, keep moving,” he whispered in return, moving on ahead. Everything in the bubble seemed perfectly normal as of now. Just a swarm of trees appearing from within the barrier of fog. It wasn’t until they reached an open area in the middle of the park when it came into view.
A long pale shape coated with a layer of thick black armor. One horn sticking up from the center of its head. It stomped in place – growling as it attempted to escape its prison. “That’s … a Monochromon,” Veemon whispered, trying not to attract the dinosaur’s eye. “A what?”
“A.. big dinosaur. Just go hide,” he replied grumpily, moving in to take a strike. Rie ran into the distance hiding behind the trunk of an old birch tree. Veemon shot forward like a bullet and crashed into the dinosaur’s side, only to fall back from the force of the recoil.
“Dammit… it’s like hitting a rock with a stick.” Now the Monochromon had seen Veemon and it sure was angry. It snorted and then ran towards Veemon full force, it’s horn bared. Veemon flipped out of the way just in the nick of time. “Alright, try this one. Vee Headbutt.” His second headbutt seemed to do little more than the first, only irritate the dinosaur even more.
“VOLCANIC STRIKE!” Great flaming balls shot from the Monochromon’s mouth directly at Veemon. He ducked behind a tree again only in the nick of time. The tree splintered and caught fire, all at once. “Dammit,” Veemon said again, unsure what to do.

It didn't take long for word to spread; in fact K was surprised when she overheard two humans talk about some kind of 'heavy fog'. The digimon frowned slightly but moved closer to the two conversing humans; one of them being quite vocal and irate about the whole fact. The renamon had heard of things like this in the human world; though ussually they were more controlled than this. If anything the descriptions matched a few things she knew of.
One of which couldn't be good; some digimon were capable of making data clouds like this in order to hold their form more properly in this place that they simply weren't used to... And all the other options were maybe a thousand time worse. So what did the renamon do? She snapped her rule book shut; inquired to the two humans where they had seen this 'fog' and they gave her such a strange look considering her appearance but they didn't question her.
They simply pointed.
The digimon turned and felt her irritation grow a bit. How did she not see that; giving the two a small bow she'd head off. Noting that niether of them really returned the bow. Likely thinking it was her fault or something.
When she arrived at the 'scene' she was greeted with a few prospects. A few Humans were standing outside of it worridly while one or two of them were trying to push back what would amount to a small crowd. She didn't bother interacting with these humans; in fact she walked right by them and straight into the fog.
Any sound was cut off, any sight of the humans behind her were cut off. They wouldn't enter in, it was simply too dangerous and they knew it. It didn't take her long to find the center, but what she was greeted by she didn't like seeing.
A veemon fighting what looked to be a Monochromon and a human hiding behind a old birch tree. Though the last of which took her a few moments to find. She'd huff to herself and ease her way over to the human; if they were caught in this and weren't a tamer this certainly would be dangerous for them right?
She was quick to assess the situation; it was unlikely that the Veemon was responsible for the cloud as they simply were a rookie. It was more common for champions to be responsible for this kind of thing. So she addressed the human; hoping that if she was wrong they'd be able to correct her. Her voice sounded hollow from behind the helmet but there was an underlying warmth none could deny.
"You know what's going on here right? Which one is yours?"

Rie looked up at the ‘human’ with her large wide eyes. She couldn’t see a face behind the mask, only her own face reflected in the glass. She lifted one finger slowly and pointed directly at her ducking and diving partner, trying to avoid the streams of flames that shot from the dinosaur’s mouth. “He’s my doggy,” Rie said, simply. She didn’t even think to ask how this ‘human’ knew of Digimon.
Veemon ducked under the next stream of fire, trying to close the gap between himself and the dinosaur. “Boom Boom Puuuunch!” Veemon began to spin his arm like a windmill, winding it up until the perfect point to release it and slam the dinosaur right in the chin. This only seemed to make it angrier, however. Monochromon continued to slam his horn forward, definitely trying to skewer Veemon.
Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw the ‘human’ running towards Rie and then talking to her. Suddenly distracted, the Monochromon horn caught Veemon and sent him flying backwards – his body crashing into the mighty birch trunk. “Vee-kun!” Rie called as her partner slid down the length of the tree into an unceremonious heap at the base of the trunk. “Damn…” he grunted. “Vee-kun, are you okay?” Without a single word to the other ‘human’, Rie ran out from her cover to hold her partner up. “Vee-kun?!”

Was it fear she saw? Or perhaps it was worry for whichever of these digimon that had the grace to be her partner? K followed the finger to see the Veemon at the end of it. It wasn't a surprise to see that her initial assumption was correct. There were plenty of new tamers now that she really thought about it. She tilted her head just a little bit when the human stated that the Veemon was 'her doggy'.
The sheer idea of Veemon being a dog was enough to make her want to laugh; but considering the situation she crushed the sensation almost immediately. Seeing that the Veemon attempted another attack only for it to fail made the Renamon sigh a little bit. Champion tier digimon were quite a bit stronger than rookies after all.
Was this digimon combat orientated? Or perhaps it was just trying to prove a point to it's human? She didn't really know. The human ran out to hold their partner up even with the Champion still active.
They certainly were a tamer pairing all right... The renamon sighed softly, stood up tall and felt her holo-suit flicker out as she approached what would of be considered the fight proper. She wasn't about to fight the champion immediately but she did hold up her hands to try to stop the Monochromon's advance.
"It'd be best if you stopped attacking. You're sorely outmatched."
