The city he entered was even more confusing than he could have imagined. Strange creatures walked every which way just like humans would in their cities. Some looked like animals, some even looked like people to a degree, others, well, looked like things he either couldn’t or weren’t willing to describe. Truly a diverse city.
Before walking out of the terminal, he opened the bag to see what was inside. Inside it lay a strange device and a chip of some kind, displaying a small, orange creature on it. The device had a small slot on the side that looked like it fit the cartridge perfectly. As he pulled the two objects out of the bag, the bag disintegrated. Strange.
Eventually, he put the cartridge into the device. As the device turned on, it absorbed the cartridge into itself. Suddenly, a laser shot from the device onto the ground. A strange creature had been inside this tiny little cartridge, stored as data that only the device could access. As the light faded, the creature that had once been on the cart appeared and shook. It looked up to his confused gaze.
“Well hello, Commander.”

The strange Digimon looked up to him before speaking.
“Well, I’m here. Your own Digimon! Still processing I guess. I suppose I should more properly introduce myself. The name’s Aero, I’m a Patamon. Guess I should explain everything to you. Follow me!”
Aero pulled Silas to a bench and began to explain all the intricate details of the Digital World, explaining how Digimon attributes worked, how Digivolution works, and what his device did. It was called the XROS Loader, and it was strange, allowing him to fuse Digimon together. “Now with that taken care of we need to give you a name." “What do you mean?”
“Well, the XROS Loader turns you into a Commander, and Commander Silas is a, well, awful name. What should I call you?”
Silas sat and thought before finally saying a single word.
“Omega”
“Commander Omega… Yeah, that will work. It’s kind of imposing.”
