Man this 'mon got flustered easily, it was almost as if she didn't hear much compliments, maybe she didn't get out often? That didn't seem right, well, he could only really guess what was up with her. He nodded, "Damn right," he smirked, his ears folding behind him, as electricity coursed between their length, a number of currents making his fur bristle. He shook his head, calming the energy that emerged from his own excitement.
He considered what she was saying, as the idea of a full-powered battle between a restored Ban and Cion, "Well, I'm sure my old man would like to fight you at his best, as well. To be honest, I kinda want to see that happen, as well." He admitted, Ban hadn't exactly bragged of what he used to be, but he did hint at what kind of power he had from subtle reactions to certain things, such as how certain obstructions frustrated him when his strength was insufficient, as if he knew he could do better, and it made sense for him to have been strong. He understood that his existence was by chance, and borne of a fraction of the data Ban had lost, who knows what would have happened if he had happened to be created with a BIT more data. Well, all he could do was create more the old fashioned way. Training.
2D sat there, forming his response calmly, "Alright, fair enough, but he's still pretty young, I at least have my old man at... basically all times, but it sounds like this guy mainly has a human for company, good 'mon or not, you need to be at least kinda tough to travel alone like that. It does sound like he can handle himself, seein' how he's still in one piece, and all." He admitted, wondering how strong that little guy was, "Who knows? Trainin' with him could be fun, as well. Man... Your whole family's at least KINDA tough, ain't it?" He asked, shoveling some rice in his mouth.
He started, clearing his throat, at his misunderstanding, jeez, he reacted like a prick, but she asked him a legitimate question, since she seemed to like things complicated, maybe he should weigh in his two cents, "Well, I've got more experience with food like that, make it edible and taste good is all I really need, no need to add all that extra stuff, it's just a headache, at the end of the day. Think about simple stuff too much and you'll end up all mixed up about what kinda decisions you made up, arguin' with yourself with decisions that don't matter, in the end." He shrugged, "I just don't like over-complicating things, I guess."

Cion could not help herself but grin when she saw her new friend so eager to push himself beyond his limits through training. Though she had no intention in contemplating how she was going to assist D in this undertaking this evening, she had to admit that she was excited as well. The prospect of being a mentor for someone else was an intriguing one, and it was a task she had never pursued before. Usually, it had been her who had required guidance to be an adequate fighter. Hopefully, she sufficed as to give her partner the power he sought.
As for a future rematch, the Arnamon had hit the nail on its head. It appeared both her current companion and Ban were interested in seeing what she was capable of her in her apex-form, a curiosity that was completely understandable. Who did not desire to fathom what was possible in a quest to attain such heights as well? Pacifists perhaps, but those people carried an illogical ideology in her point of view. But that was a topic for another day and different philosophers. "Well... I'm sure that can be arranged." She stated unwoundedly, always happy to please those she considered of good nature.
Considering the Vi-Elecmon's response in regards to her nephew, the vulpine best was honestly at a loss for words. She simply did not know how powerful Logan actually was as she had never seen him fight. Knowing who some of her familiar members were however put forth the decent chance that the little rascal indeed harbored a core of august might that merely had to be unleashed through experience and effort. "I suppose he is a tough lad, and maybe some training would not hurt him. But that's not solely upon me to decide. And... well... at least I and Owen are ancient enough to bear a bit of strength." She answered in wonder of how strong the Gaomon's new love actually was.
In any case, Cion had a hard time not giggling about the misunderstanding which had occurred about the spices of their food. Nevertheless, D's answer gave great insight into what kind of lifestyle he preferred. Avoiding everything that was complicated seemed kind of infantile, but aware of how overwhelming the digital world could be it was not a notion too escapist. "To each their own, as long as it does not hurt others." The Arnamon calmly rationalized, letting her acquaintance have his meal the way he enjoyed it the most.
Speaking of which, the smile on her muzzle grew ever large from the hearty pungency of her curry.

Funnily enough, 2D found himself out of questions, for the time being. He tapped his chin with his fork, already envisioning what benefits training with her would bring, first and foremost, he would gain new experience, other than training with his old man could give, and it helps to open the doors for future new training partners, and this PROFIT thing seemed like an awesome training opportunity as well, but on an individual level, one might not see what benefits came from training with one as lax as Cion, but he saw first-hand her experience in the ring, and it was the real deal, no question. Perhaps he could return the favor by helping her with stealth and his own talents, challenging her in angles she might not expect, he would have to come up with his own lessons for her, for some much needed quid pro quo.
He nodded, when it came to her stating this "Owen"'s strength, and hinting at the fact that his experience was at least comparable to hers, he looked forward to learning his fighting style, and what kind of tricks he had in store. And the youngster intrigued him, seeing how they were similarly aged, but they had seemed to take a page out of a human's speed of maturing, while he grasped a lot of mature ideas swiftly, even before he went along with Ban. However, this was an instinctive level, therefore he couldn't rely on it too much, as his old man had told him that talent blinds people to their weakness, no matter how excellent their skills were, it only pronounced their weaknesses further, and that made sense to 2D, therefore he'd work to ensure he can compensate for such weaknesses, only problem was, he needed to find his own weak points to work on, even though he specializes on capitalizing on the weaknesses of others in fights.
"The way I see it, if you spend too much time thinkin' about what to do next, how to approach a situation in the heat of it, you might be too slow to capitalize on the important moments, y'know?" He felt the need to justify his opinion, as it was obvious she disagreed with it. "Time doesn't wait, when stuff's happenin', but before everythin' happens, I like to plan ahead, cookin' food isn't exactly a priority, long as it's edible and tastes okay, I just think it's... efficient, maybe? I dunno, but it's been workin' for me so far, so I can't complain." He raised his arms, casually, before digging into his food some more, but he noticed the fact he was starting to get full and his conversation abilities hadn't carried a conversation with a stranger this long, before.

After so many words uttered, questions asked and answers given, there was a pleasant moment of serenity where everything calmed down. Briefly, Cion looked upon D who quietly contemplated what had been said throughout this genial evening. She could only image what he thought of her and her family, how much he anticipated the day they would spar, and other such thoughts. Ultimately however, they were beyond her grasp, and that was just fine from where she stood. She did not need to know all there was to someone. It kept things fresh, interesting and of course sincere.
Deciding to join the tranquility, the Arniomon calmly savored the rest of her spicy meal, bit by bit vanishing from her plates. The Vi-Elecmon too put an end to pieces of his meat, relishing them for all that they were worth. It appeared neither of them wanted their dishes to become cold, and if taciturnity was the temporary price for delicious regalement then it was a debt gladly payed. The stars above the large, decorated balcony shone radiantly, twinkling as the light of the ever present candles did. For many it was a romantic atmosphere, for the vulpine beast it was peaceful.
Eventually though the silence faded when the purple nature spirit finally decided to voice what he had on his mind. Cion, as always, leaned forward, her ears peaked as she attentively listened to everything he new friend had to say. At first, she honestly had no idea where the chummy lad was coming from, but it did not take too long for her to grasp his impetus to voice his ideas. "I wholeheartedly agree that efficiency is often a good virtue to pursue." She kindly credited D for his wisdom... but not completely.
Chuckling for a second or two, the silver digimon leaned backwards and swung her right leg over her left one, hands resting on her fluffy tummy. It was obvious that she was without a care in the world tonight and she had no qualms showing that. "But this night does not require it. We can relax, savor what we have unburdened by obligations or opportunities... and simply enjoy our new friendship." She declared with a winning, rapt smile on her muzzle. Gently she took her glass filled with spritzer, gave it a brief shake before sipping her beverage.
Sighing with utmost pleasure, she felt bliss caressing her soul and mind. A pleasant companion, tasty food, sereneness... she too could not complain. Reaching out her arm carrying the drinking glass towards the Vi-Elecmon, she would like the thought of eternizing her words and feelings with a classic 'cheers' by hitting the drinking glass of her partner. Hopefully, it was a sentiment he agreed with.

The silence stretched almost uncomfortably, but their food was an easy excuse for something like that, so it really wasn't much of an issue. The meat with the sauce was pretty good, but to him, it's combination of textures was somewhat overwhelming, so this food wasn't going to be at the top of his list anytime soon, but he really started to take issue with the endless supply of scents. He counted himself lucky they didn't have an indoors seat, otherwise he would have felt absolutely claustrophobic, and the calm night sky was better than any ceiling art he could imagine.
Now that he thought about it, night was probably his preferred time of day, there was just so little happening, for the most part, that he could train in absolute silence, nothing to distract him, and the cool air keeping him from overheating while exercising. There was also the fact many of his techniques relied on the dark, and the night provided that in spades. He spoke up, staring upwards, after swallowing a forkful of meat and rice, "Hey... When we start trainin', do you mind if we have some night sessions?" He asked, not really feeling the need to justify his idea, as he did have night-vision goggles right next to him, which led him to realize something, "I mean... That would give me a lotta advantages, when we square off, so we don't have to do it every time." He explained, returning his gaze to the table, hearing her ruminate on relaxing, "Yeah, fair enough, I guess." He admitted her point, there wasn't much point in finding the perfect way of eating his food.
As he regained eye contact with her, he found her extending her arm, and for the briefest of moments, he didn't grasp what she was doing. He figured it out quickly, however, as he quickly scanned the table for his glass, scooping it up in one of his paws, he gently held it towards her, furrowing his brow as he focused on tapping the glasses lightly against one another, without spilling his drink. After that, he met her eyes, with the faintest air of uncertainty, before taking the drink back and taking a sizable sip from it.

“Sure, if that is what my nocturnal friends prefers.” Cion responded kindly, not minding the idea to train at night once the day came that she temporarily took on the role as instructor and trainer for D. She had no problem fulfilling his request, for her level of power hardly mattered in these units. After all, it was not her who needed training for she had already achieved the apex of her might in this existence. A youngling such as the charming Vi-Elecmon savoring this starry evening together with her was simply not suitable to properly perfect the few rough edges - which was of course not meant as an offense.
Speaking of pleasure, the silver fox was happy to know that her partner had grasped her point and apparently took it to heart. Naturally, it had not been her intention to 'objurgate' him or acting like a smart ass. All she wanted for the nature spirit was the ability to relax and enjoy their time together as much as possible. No obligations, not awaiting opportunities to seize... just two digimons with quite the fantastical stories rejoicing. To her delight, he returned her act of comradeship, the echo of clanking glass resounding throughout the candlelit balcony of the restaurant.
Briefly looking at D's ruby red eyes while he beheld her own, golden ones, the rapt smile on the vulpine sentinel's muzzle lingered for him to see. There were many things others might have spoken or asked, but for the duo things were clear as day in spite dusk long having ceased to be. Putting the glass down, her simper turned toothy, a single matter of importance left on her mind. “Friends?” She wondered out loud, hoping that he shared her wish to be comrades.

She gave a very simple response, but to be fair, his question was, in basics a yes or no question, so there wasn’t any need for her to overcomplicate things, despite how she usually responded. A few moments later, 2D felt a familiar, infuriating sensation, the sensation of someone looking down on him. He wasn’t quite sure who it was, so his usual solution of launching a sparring match or a fight on the spot would be ineffective. Unless… could it be? He glanced at Cion, raising a mild brow. Well, either way, he had no way to confirm who did it, so he would just have to wait until training to confirm those sort of thoughts, for all he knew, it was just one of the snobs sitting around them.
He made sure he timed his drink with hers, as he guessed that would make him seem more polite. He then returned to his food, picking up the remaining scraps of meat and shoveling the rice on top of them, taking a relatively large forkful of food, but his broad jaw allowed it to enter without difficulty. She spoke a single word, and his ears perked up, and one tilted downwards, as he tilted his head, ever-so-slightly, and he swallowed the last mouthful of food, pounding his chest to make it go down, before he answered, “You have to ask? I thought it was obvious. ‘Course.” He confirmed, a small grin forming at the corner of his maw.
