For a moment, the creature was almost sure he had won. The needles stabbed deep into the Meicrackmon’s wound, making her flinch for a moment. While it didn’t stop his advance, Arkadimon was not worried, it would only take a moment for the poison to act and win him this struggle.
The poison did act eventually…just not the way the insect like monstrosity predicted. The cat’s body glowed ominously as the poison supposedly should be activating, the creature moving completely unimpeded despite the needles lodged in her stomach. If anything, she actually seemed to move faster.
Upon seeing such a sight, the Old Terminus killer couldn’t help but instinctually take a step backwards. This…was impossible.
Just a momentary setback, the creature reasoned, reeling back slightly from Tawna’s Berserker Sinking, readying his next attack as his claws glowed with intensity. He was going to finish her right here right no-
It was then he suddenly came to a stop. It was then when he felt…something…
Something surging from within him…well, less surging and more like tearing him from the inside. First it was small, subtle, like a small pinch, a simple thought that started echoing first on the back of his mind. Then on his body.
Then on his very core.
It hurts…..it hurts.
It hurts, it hurts it hurts hurts hurts hurts hurt hurts hurts hurtshurtshurtshurtshurtshurtshurtshurtshurtshurtshurtshurtsHuRtH̡̬̠̍̃̎̅͆̀͘U̐̐͆̈́͋ͩ҉͈̜̕R̭̪̠̞͓͚̗̰̉́̔̎̊̚̕T̯̬̩ͪ͘Hͤ̀ͥͦ̎҉͇̥͎̻̜̘ͅU͉̯̗̬̥̺͖͈̓ͫ̍͗͌̀͜R̷̨͚̄ͩ͟T̩̲̼͒ͪͣ̆̒̃̍̀͑͡ͅH̹͉̩̬̜̟͖̞̓͐̉̂͊ͦ̐͠U̵̲̰̳̒̊ͅR̴̮̲̺͚̝͎̭͓ͦ́̂̎́T͚̯͈̹̠͋͑̎H̼͍̲̞̬̗̮̼ͮ̀U͊̄̐͏̧͔̮̫̹Ȓ̨̨͉̖̳͛ͬͥͩͥ͡Ṫ͕͎͈͆̀͢͠H̛̪͙̼̭̤̼̖͛̈́ͨͤͫ͢U̝͓̠̓̆̀͛͒̐͋͋R̸̷̢̯͙̩͚͎ͤ̈́̍̅̐͐T̡̘̹͚ͯ̎͊ͨ͐ͥ͂̕.̱̪̥͖̋͗ͣ͆͒H̡̬̠̍̃̎̅͆̀͘U̐̐͆̈́͋ͩ҉͈̜̕R̭̪̠̞͓͚̗̰̉́̔̎̊̚̕T̯̬̩ͪ͘Hͤ̀ͥͦ̎҉͇̥͎̻̜̘ͅU͉̯̗̬̥̺͖͈̓ͫ̍͗͌̀͜R̷̨͚̄ͩ͟T̩̲̼͒ͪͣ̆̒̃̍̀͑͡ͅH̹͉̩̬̜̟͖̞̓͐̉̂͊ͦ̐͠U̵̲̰̳̒̊ͅR̴̮̲̺͚̝͎̭͓ͦ́̂̎́T͚̯͈̹̠͋͑̎H̼͍̲̞̬̗̮̼ͮ̀U͊̄̐͏̧͔̮̫̹Ȓ̨̨͉̖̳͛ͬͥͩͥ͡Ṫ͕͎͈͆̀͢͠H̛̪͙̼̭̤̼̖͛̈́ͨͤͫ͢U̝͓̠̓̆̀͛͒̐͋͋R̸̷̢̯͙̩͚͎ͤ̈́̍̅̐͐T̡̘̹͚ͯ̎͊ͨ͐ͥ͂̕.̱̪̥͖̋͗ͣ͆͒
The creature grasped at his head, his claws gripping it so hard it actually started to tear through his head’s flesh.
Every single imaginable pain combined could not be enough to describe what he was feeling.
His inside blistered and popped, his innards felt like they were bursting and ripping. His every bit of data, his every single cell, his very being felt like it was trying to kill itself in the most agonizing way possible. Even the simple act of thinking caused Arkadimon an unbearable agony.
The pathetic screams from the monster were only matched by the sound of his carapace like skin tearing as the creature began digging his claws into his own body in a futile attempt of to get whatever was inside him out.
It would only be less than ten seconds before the monster found himself writhing in the ground, his whole body trembling and convulsing uncontrollably, dark, foul energy seeping from out of his every wound, every orifice, every pore in his body. Slowly, weakly, the creature tried to stand up, but could barely manage to kneel. Glancing upwards, he saw her.
His would be trophy.
Arkadimon, barely tried to raise his right hand, opening up his stinger filled palm. If only he could attack her one more time, maybe then the pain would stop.
But even if he had had the strength needed to shrug off the pain, the feline was still faster than him. In one quick movement she leaped at him, pinning him down to the ground, keeping him from moving. The creature tried to thrash around, to kick the malignant cat off him, to swipe at her and take her off…but he couldn’t. The pain was too much.
As such he stood there for a moment, staring into the abyss that were her cold, uncaring eyes. Her sharp toothed grin was the only thing his eyes could still see, even as his vision turned blurry from the Trojan.
And it was then, that Arkadimon, slayer of more than twenty innocents, murderer of man, woman, children and digimon alike, the legendary killer of Old Terminus felt something he had never felt before. Something he had only seen in the eyes of his preys, his victims, his trophies, moments before he snuffed out their lives.
Pure, unrelenting, uncontrollable fear.
Only now he realized he was no longer the predator. He had become the prey.
And when Tawna whispered to him, her cold voice sounding like the incarnation of death itself, the pathetic wretch of a digimon could only try, in vain, to look away. To try and convince himself this was not how things would end.
Such foolish notion was mercilessly crushed when he felt something stabbing through his chest, the cat’s stinger piercing through his chest all the way to the cold ground…right through his core. The pain heightened for a moment, before a cold, numb embrace slowly took hold of the writhing giant. His thrashing slowly but surely seemed to stop, his whole body growing rigid.
In a way, it almost came as a relief, as he could no longer feel the pain, but that release was barely reassuring, knowing what fate awaited him. He was not coming back from this one.
And all he could do now was focusing on that wide, toothy, maniacal grin. That…horrifying grin. Even as his vision slowly blackened, as everything became blurry and darkness took hold, he could still see the glint of her fangs.
Even as his body slowly started to decay, static glitches appearing through him for fractions of a second, his data having a hard time keeping together, he could still see that malicious mouth.
Even as he saw his whole life flashing through his eyes, all the faces of his victims, all the digivices he had collected, all the joy and pain of his existence combined…he could only see that wretched smile.
After a long, excruciating minute, the creature’s body finally stopped moving, his whole being slowly dissipating into bright ones and zeroes into the wind…
Soon, the creature once called Arkadimon slowly left this world, his only company during his dying moments being the smile of his killer.
Arkadimon succumbed to the poison from Chaos Half Life, and was finished off by Manticore Sting.
