Recruitment, Leadership, and Rules:

To be a part of the 7/71st Recon, it is expected that you are a Solo digimon.

The 7/71st of old existed as a specialist or 'commando' squad with skilled digimon that was sent to best deal with problems that their old nation-state faced. While it has a fairly egalitarian mindset, for official purposes the commanding officer was/is Owen and the 2nd in command was/is Skye. Neither of them are particularly authoritarian however.

The rules of 7/71st is to simply do your best in protecting the world and those you care about from harm and threats. You must never desert, never abandon your friends, and never show cowardice. Never be cruel, always be kind to innocents.



History and Details: Long ago in the tumultuous history of the digital world, before the existence of Terminus City and Whitewater; a civilization existed in the Western Flatlands. It consisted of digimon that had honorable and noble ideals in the civilization and organization of the digital world - to make a copy of the civilization they knew to exist in a parallel dimension - that of humans.

The digimon copied the humans in almost every way they could. They created a society, they came up with ideas such as taxes, education, law and of course a standing military to protect this.

For a time, this civilization, the Digital World Republic (DWR) stood strong. It drew in digimon that wanted to live a peaceful life and be a part of something great. For a long time, the DWR was a shining light of the primary continent of the digital world.

Eventually, however, problems began. Digimon were not like humans, so them creating a copy of a human society began to fail. Digimon evolved considerably in power - humble rookies became docile champions. Then docile champions evolved to conceited Ultimates. And these Ultimates evolved to dangerous Megas, many of which saw themselves as rightful leaders. Intrigue and conflict soon spread among the DWR's leadership, and thus led to its demise.

In the middle of all this was a unit of digimon in the DWR's military that could be relied upon to put out the fires of the dying civilization. The 7th Battalion of the 71st Recon Regiment. The best of the DWR's digimon served in this unit - acting as special forces. Morale was high, but their casualty rate was too. And in the dying years, it fell from a Battalion to a Company to just a Platoon, and eventually all of them were wiped out.

Now the memories of those digimon, long since reconfigured, are beginning to return. And from this core of digimon, they're willing to fight again for the good of the world instead of the old DWR.
