The amount of stress Haru was under right now was indescribable... agonizingly awful to say the least. It was not every day that your birthplace and home was under siege by Digimon who threatened to try and annihilate it and much more were they not stopped.
Half of Shibuya right now was a bit of a warground; the once thriving city turned into a labyrinth of digital space half-formed from the now desolate metropolis. It happened very quickly too... one moment peace and calm, the next moment all manners of Digimon flooding in and wrecking havoc as the poor city was soon under attack. The heart of this city has been forever changed into a mockery of what it once was, the corrupted digital space's influence growing with time.
Wandering alone in the dark maze that once was her home, a single Rasielmon cautiously walked alone, able to feel the heavy atmosphere of the area. Maybe she wasn't human... anymore at least, but it didn't make the impact of seeing her home destroyed any weaker.
In a way, it was fortunate that there were no bodies around from which she'd have to witness... It seemed that the area itself has became similar to the Digital World in mechanics, which in a way was a horrific thought. There certainly was bloodshed though, even if the signs are not noticeable now.
The initial invasion happened three days ago. Sudden, but deadly. It was good that there were people like tamers, spirit wielders, or even other singular Digimon who did not share the invaders' destructive intent around as things would have been much worse than they ended up being... she knew quite well what COULD have happened thanks to this form's use of future sight. Still, there was a deathcount within the thousands... and that was just humans, who knew how many innocent Digimon perished too? The angelic Digimon winced slightly just thinking about it, not one who reveled in the subject.
For now, she was attempting to keep her mind busy by other means. She... she wasn't good at heavy themes like this. As someone who used to live such a simple life back when she was human, her experiences with Digimon have been mixed in tone. She has met both many wonderful people plus experiences she could only dream of... but this was a reminder that everything was not all fun and games.
If getting eaten a while ago wasn't a sign that the Digital World could be a cruel place, the state poor Shibuya was in was certainly the final nail in the coffin. She didn't have regrets becoming involved with the Digital World, but this... this was a fate she refused to allow to go through.
She knew she wasn't alone either. Both Tamers, Digimon, and Spirit Wielders alike were combatting the situation all in their own ways. Whether safely escorting people out of the danger zone, or directly fighting against invading Digimon to keep them contained... she was of the latter frankly. However, no one seemed to know just what had kickstarted this digital invasion... None of the enemy Digimon were remotely sentient, and the rapid pace of the attack on Shibuya had left everyone dazed and confused.
Fortunate that the Digital Field Club specialized in facing the unknown, but even their databases could not analyze at all what was going on here. The only thing Ayumi was able to garner was that several massive data convergences were scattered around this digital labyrinth of ruined Shibuya. The only thing everyone could figure out was these data convergences were hostile in nature and HAD to go... less the labyrinth's influence threatens to spread beyond the city, or worse... even further.
The angelic Mega level briefly paused mid-walk, her eyes lighting up as their blue-hue turned gold as she gazed into the future with her Divine Omniscience... for a moment standing still in the distorted space. Her vision was filled with an infinite number of futures, predicting a number of countless occurrences within the next few seconds...
A brief moment later, the angelic Digimon had immediately turned around and fired a blast of elemental energy at a NeoDevimon that was mid-jump lunging at her, immediately deleting the poor devil instantly. The Rasielmon's eyes dilated as they shifted back to their normal hue, she grinding her teeth slightly as she opted to load the data entirely. Just because she had an angelic appearance did not mean she was completely merciful... residual data from Tawna classified her as a predator, and one who did not enjoyed being provoked or toyed with.
It was hard to adopt sympathy towards any of the creatures lurking around this maze... this was her home, and now it was a disaster zone. The only thing preventing her from going on a complete roaring rage of revenge was knowing that her friends and family were still alive, but at the same time countless life was horrifically snuffed out... and for that, forgiveness was beyond the question in her eyes.
She was a wiser person now. Goodness was not merely forgiveness, it was also about justice... Forgiveness could only be given to those who genuinely seeked it. At times, she missed the simplicity of innocence, but her life has changed too much now to go back to it. The past was just a memory, the only way to move was forward.
Even with this disaster... she genuinely believed they could walk forward from this. The world would certainly be changed forever now with the knowledge of Digimon existing now... but she believed it was possible. People would live in fear of Digimon, including herself... but there would be people that would be supportive (even excited) of a whole new race.
Before they could walk forward though, they needed to ensure though they HAD a future.
Dusting herself off, the cat-line ophanim let out a depressing sigh. Even if they COULD get to the root of this mess, the damage has been done already. Humans don't get second chances like Digimon.
... Most humans at least.
The further Haru delved, the more she could feel an evil atmosphere to the area. The wireframe patterns of the darkness reminded her of what many a science fiction movie have described as "cyberspace"... Which, she supposed was accurate. Still, the fact that this once was perfectly normal Earth space distorted into a mockery of itself... well, it did unnerve her. The fact that this could have happened potentially anywhere was frightening to think about, but was not what she needed to focus on now.
Soon enough; she arrived at a huge, open room... at the center of the ornate-looking room being a large carpet depicting a color arrangement of all seven of the Demon Lord Digimon, leading to a throne that seemed as if it were carved out of bone. Resting on the throne, balancing a chalice of wine was a demonic-looking vampiric Digimon... the NeoDevimon smirking at her arrival.
"Well, congratulations sweetie. I was curious when someone would arrive. A fellow Digimon at that! Shame, I was itching to meet at least one or two humans..." the suave-looking vampiric Digimon spoke, slowly clapping at the angelic Digimon as he lounged on his throne.
The Rasielmon squinted with intense irritation at the vampire, not at all amused by the greeting. The time for social niceties had passed the moment this damnable conflict even started. "Who are you? ... What have you done to this city?" she calmly spoke, metaphoric bile building up in her as she gazed at whom she was expecting to quickly become her foe. She didn't need future sight to see that coming.
"Easy now princess, one question at a time." the cocky demon Digimon retorted, waving a finger mockingly at the angel as he stood up, soon bowing courteously. "You may refer to me as NeoMyotismon. I am one of the New Age Dark Masters, a servant of our lord Quartzmon. Color me amused that a flower such as yourself would appear before me... Care I ask what someone such as yourself is doing all the way here?"
"A little pissed that you punks destroyed my home, so pardon if I'm a little upset." the angel Digimon very angrily
The demonic Digimon let out a slight chuckle, shrugging at Haru. "Oh, that's cute... Was this dumpster really your home? Sorry about that, but you should know better than abandoning your actual home, the Digital World." he apologized with a hint of sarcasm in his voice, his constant smirk not leaving his face. "How about this though... I know you been a bit of a thorn on our side since we've arrived, but I'll make a deal with you... Strong Digimon like you are rare, and one of my kin was just slaughtered a bit ago. I'm sure Quartzmon wouldn't mind... It'd give us just that little extra edge to continue this takeover... First this country, than the rest of this pathetic world. Everything you could ever want could be at your finger tips." NeoMyotismon eloquently spoke, his malicious smile not waning even briefly. He soon stretched one of his long arms towards Haru, offering a hand. "So what do you say sugar tits?"
Before NeoMyotismon even had a moment to react, the angelic Digimon had quickly dashed towards him, swatting away into one of the walls of the room by a melee strike on Haru's part with one of their oversized claw gauntlets. "Y'know, for a moment I thought you were at least classy..." the Rasielmon softly spoke, glaring at the fiendish Digimon as he attempted to pick himself up, a stunned look on his face. "Sorry, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to kill you... You and your buddies HAVE to go." she spoke, a hateful look in the angel's cross-pupil blue eyes. She wasn't one to normally this cold, but the time for games was long done.
NeoMyotismon somewhat weakly got up, dusting himself off with a look of shock on his face as he gritted his teeth. "W-Well, you certainly are a feisty dam... but now you are going to have to force me to play seriously." he spoke with malicious intent, giving a manic smile towards. "Now... you have made me raise my hand. Now you will face I, NeoMyotismon... My true pow-"
Before he is even allowed to finish that statement, NeoMyotismon was once more brutally battered by the Rasielmon, this time smashed straight through the ground of the room, the pair falling down several hundred feet as NeoMyotismon collapsed onto the ground, rubble burying him for a moment. "Urk... A-Are you even going to give me a chance to even fight back?" the vampiric Digimon harshly responded as he attempted to climb back out.
"Did you or your other buddies give all those people a chance to fight back?" Haru coldly spoke as she softly landed down in the bottom layer of the labyrinth, holding a hand as a javelin formed from holy lightning began to form and grow in power.
NeoMyotismon's face immediately turned to a look of horror, the Mega leve immediately jumping upwards into flight as he panickedly began attempting to fly away. None of this was going according to plan... he had thought this invasion was going to run smoothly... where the hell were all these powerful Digimon coming from?! He was now no longer quite as smug about his comrade, KingEtemon getting deleted... these people were monsters.
Unfortunately for him, no matter how erratically he moved... Haru saw his every movement perfectly. No matter how much he attempted to resist this fate... she had him in her sights.
"Ein Sof!"
In a single chaotic flash, the javelin was hurled... like a bold of lightning, it surged across the air, piercing through NeoVamdemon and destroying the fiend instantly. Outside, one might see the javelin pierce through a distorted building, exploding in a blinding flash in the darkened skies of the distorted ruins of inner Shibuya.
As Haru stood there (additionally absorbing their data to ensure that thing never comes back), the Rasielmon took a deep breath as she degenerated all the way down to the petite form of a Meicoomon, the small maine coon Digimon laying down by a piece of rubble... letting out a sigh.
I do believe you went overboard.[/b] a voice in her head spoke up, causing the Champion level to lightly roll their eyes.
"He had it coming."
I suppose he did... not even a chance to attack?
"Being good doesn't mean you need to play fair." Haru softly spoke as she spent a few minutes to catch her breath before soon opting to get up, aiming to find the exist to this cursed place.
Her friends need her help... and she needed them just as much.
