Compilation Town.
Townships are a staple to society, while all serving the same purpose, each have their own nuances influenced by the area creating different cultures. However, the Eastern Timberlands has no such place until potentially now. While home to the Spartan training grounds and dangerous woods, the East can be described as a fairly peaceful environment. This town named Compilation town is taking inspiration from 19th century North American colonies. The town in location is in the Mainframe hills, while only half an hour's walk from the Spartan training grounds. The area around the town and in some outer areas through it, are lush trees, a natural beauty especially on a day with wind. As far as appearances go, the town itself is very simplistic. The buildings are old style houses made of wooden planks and glass panes windows. The roads are paved with gravel and all connect to the town square. In the center of the town square is a stone fountain, with water spritzing out in eight directions onto the upper disk where it flows through the eight cracks in every direction controlling the flow at a soothing rate.
Around the town square are services one would expect, a job board with posts for those looking for work, various shops selling food and necessities, restaurants/Cafe's, etc. However there is a service here offered no where else, the Digidestined Crash Course school, otherwise known as the DCCS. It is a school run by Digidestined, for Digidestined so no one is without the chance to learn before it's too late. It is a two story building, consisting of a seminar room, and several smaller class rooms each for a specific pairing. The seminar room is used for generic information, while the specified classrooms are designed to help people adjust and to their new positions. Behind the School is a small stone brick rimmed arena used for basic sparring and demonstrations, but can easily be wrecked by a Mega. The Digidestined crash course school offers a unique opportunity for older players to teach the newer ones as well as open up a few career opportunities that could be exploited in story as well as for grinding bits. I propose that the DCCS be it's own sub board within the town as it is unique, first of it's kind, and will shorten the description by just having a sub board for one part.
Across the town square from the school is the Alpha tavern, a place of endless joy with endless hours. The tavern is open twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. This is a place where young and old can come to share stories over drinks, or come to hear the latest news. The tavern is a very basic and rustic in appearance, at the far end from the door is a large bar counter with many stools. Tables and chairs around the room with booths in three out of the four corners. However in the far left corner from the entrance is a small stage. While the town itself is reflective of older times, the tavern is not completely devoid of luxury as on the stage is a Karaoke machine that is turned on almost every night. The tavern does however have a limited number of rooms to rent out to travelers in need of a place to rest for a while. Each room to rent comes with several bunk beds, as well as a table and chairs. The Tavern acts as a great place for characters to interact and meet with others and give humans who are fresh to the Digital World a more calm way to meet people without worrying about danger.
Adjacent from the Tavern is the Trailmon station, leading in and out of the town. Nothing fancy about it, a basic platform made of wood with a roof on top, it serves as a fast transport between the town and the Digital Core as well as other towns. Between the town hall and the DCCS, is a library called Compressed Library, featuring books containing legends of the Digital world, survival guides, and even books about the geography of the digital world and recommendations for travelling there. However this library is not all knowing, be wary of the unknown, for not everyone can survive to pass down tales into scriptures.
In the eastern portion of the town is a small farm growing crops the old fashioned way. Compilation town takes all the rustic feels of older times and doesn't let that up especially near the farm, proud digimon enjoy working the farm by day, and sharing a drink at the end of the night. Working on this farm, whether guarding it from thieves, or planting/maintaining/harvesting crops, can offer odd jobs for characters while at the same time, letting some return to their rural roots.
While the town stays true to a communal and peaceful system, they do acknowledge a need for defenses. Along the borders of the town are towers with beacons on top, tall enough to see from anywhere in town. A beacon get's lit on fire should impending danger be seen in the distance. On a smaller scale, the tight community a small town offers carries with it a trust in one another as besides beacons, townsfolk can participate in a community watch should the need arise. The town believes in a trust your neighbor philosophy, having one look out for the other through thick and thin.
The concept of Compilation town is to be an easy going down for everyone to start out, or just relax in peaceful bliss. All the other cities have hustle, loud clubs, over population, mimic of famous cities, which makes the ordinary in this case extraordinary. The nature of this town makes good fuel for starting a character out or finding peace after a great conflict. There is not a single category other than destructive characters that can't find a place for themselves here whether permanently or for a brief stay.
