MPC-50 1+X - We've Lived Through Many Lives

[[OOC: I have hit the word count needed to get both MPCs rewards, and I am doing the following MPC for the Wild Card MPC. I will be taking posts for this one. Bones and I will continue this for fun at this point.]]
The past couple of months have been... more than just weird for Haru. Not even her initial discovery of the Digital World plus rebirth was perhaps this level of weird... A post-Digimon-discovery human world was.. interesting to say the least. Scary at first admittingly, as plenty of humans were outright terrified of the concept of Digimon... Humans usually tend to react with fear against the unknown or uncontrollable. In the end however, most were able to put aside their differences, and now a relative peace exists between the two worlds. Tamers no longer needed to hide their partners from their friends and families, and individual Digimon were not too uncommon to see on occasion strolling about in their regular forms... though of course, heavy regulations have been set in a joint effort between both worlds to keep a sense of order. Not all people trusted Digimon, and not all Digimon trusted people... but members from both parties were trying their best to come to a happy medium. Of course, as someone whose lived a life on both sides of the coin... it wasn't perfect still. The young aviator-helmet wearing woman was waiting at the bus station at Central Shibuya, her orange scarf wrapped around her face as she glanced off at a pair of teenagers talking with one another, their Gabumon and Phascomon partners joining in on the conversation. You seem stressed. Tawna's spectral voice rang out in her head, causing the "girl" to shake her head. Of course I'm stressed... This isn't easy for me!What she was referring to was her plans to take a bus to Western Shibuya to her parents' house... It was time for her to spill the beans about her current condition, one that she had been hiding for the past year or so. The holo-suit wearing woman took a deep breath as she sighed, glancing around the crowds of Scramble Crossing, hoping to find Isaac. He was supposed to come... right?

(I'll just be doing the 1, not the X, since I've got the X spoken for with Maia. Nevertheless, bits please!) Haru may not have been the only one sitting at the bus stop currently. Sure, she looked like the only one there so far, but especially in this post-Digimon world nothing was ever quite as it seems.
For example, perhaps her good friend and life coach could have been hiding in plain sight the entire time. Isaac, currently camouflaged in his Devidramon form, had coiled entirely around the bus stop. He was wrapped up just loosely enough to have made his entrance unnoticed. Or, rather, was it Haru who had made her entrance? Perhaps Isaac had been waiting here the whole time, just itching for the chance to prank his friend.
After all, today was a seriously important day. Not only was it the anniversary of the great Digimon secret being broken, but it was also a day of rebirth for the girl sitting on the bench right now. She had been away for her family for how long now? Isaac had already lived that life, and frankly he already knew how much it sucked. He was lucky enough to get closure, and Haru wasn't. At least, until now.
When someone like Haru was left with that kind of burden on her shoulders, even Isaac was fine with waking up early for a day.
The air around Haru shimmered and displaced, and he appeared practically face-to-face with her. "Gotcha!" he called out as he emerged, the familiar Isaac-esque tones of his voice giving up the ghost of who his identity was. He made sure to keep the grin on his maw as goofy as possible, hopefully leaving her shocked but not too intimidated. This was supposed to be a nice ice-breaker of a surprise, not cause for an actual breakdown or anything.

If she had relieved herself of her holo-suit and idled in her preferred form of choice Rasielmon, Haru might have been caught wind that something was up... but unfortunately for her, future-vision wasn't exactly accessible in this form. Needless to say, she was a sitting duck for the Spirit Wielder's mischief... She only noticed briefly for a second that the air around her looked a bit funny before she was jumpscared by the large demonic-draconian Digimon. The girl let out a slightly inhuman shriek as her bright-blue eyes' pupils took on a malformed shape more resemblant of crosses, she reeling back slightly.
Her shock very quickly was soon replaced by an annoyed growl from the holosuit-wearing girl, her cheeks puffed up. "Y-You BUTTFACE! How long were you here?!" she yelped, stamping her feet irritantly at Isaac's smug draconian face. People around seemed mildly-to-equally caught off guard by Isaac's large form, though people were used to now that Digimon could be way larger than humans.
Haru's anger wasn't actually serious, the girl quickly calmly down, actually letting out a giggle in fact. "Man, your a dork... you know that right?" she casually spoke, her pupils shifting back to a more-human state now that her Digicore wasn't beating frantically. Despite the Virus Digimon's imposing form, she felt comfortable staring at their four crimson-red eyes... knowing deep down, their soul was a kind and sweet one. She let out a sigh as she smiled. "Ya alright Isaac? I... Thank you for offering to help with this. This... I don't know. This isn't something I think I could do alone." she spoke... briefly booping the Devidramon on the snout.
Your not alone though, right? Tawna's voice rang out in her head, causing her to close her eyes.
"I know I'm not alone Tawna." the girl spoke aloud, though obviously it was more her talking to herself... quite literally. She knew least Isaac was in the know... They both knew eachother.

Isaac laughed merrily as Haru shrieked and stomped around. Calling him a buttface was practically the biggest sign of approval that he could've gotten. "Oh man, Ru," he said, wiping a tear away from each of his four eyes. "You gotta see the look on your face right now. God, I wish this form could hold my phone . . ." It would've been a great selfie opportunity, but a lack of opposable thumbs kind of put a halt to that. Oh well. Next time, he'd be sure to have Yasyamon go for the jumpscare instead.
How long was he here? Isaac shrugged. "I dunno," he admitted. "Three hours? Maybe four? Not gonna lie, kinda thought you'd be the fashionably early type, so I came prepared." Frankly, it was an astounding act of patience on Isaac's part. Being in the form of an ambush predator was probably the only thing making it tolerable. Had it been NeoDevimon or MetalGreymon at the wheel right now, he probably would've stomped off in boredom long ago.
It was funny how after all of that, Haru was asking Isaac if he was the okay one. " 'Course I'm alright. What, did you still think I was sleeping off the Bubonic Plague?" he asked, trying not to laugh at his own horrendous excuse. That was seriously how he tried to excuse dropping off of Haru's radar for the past month, and Elliot could barely breathe from how hard he laughed when he heard that fact. Once he was done chortling Isaac let himself relax, tail peacefully swishing back and forth and a proud grin on his face. " 'Sides, no chance I was gonna skip out on this. Today's huge for you, after all, and I'm not leaving you hanging in the meantime."
He was quite surprised by the boop that followed Haru's words. His four eyes sort of crossed inwards to look at Haru's finger, the confusion in them matched by the bit of warmth creeping into his smile. "Don't worry. I won't let you down," he restated, voice gentle.
With that, the bus rolled up. No sense trying to squeeze onto it in a form literally not meant for vehicle travel. He reverted back to human form, making his way onto the doors and scoping out choice seats for him and Haru. "Well. Next stop, La Casa del Toriya. Nervous?" he said. "Figure if you're really worried, we could probably roleplay out the meeting some, you know? Oh! Or maybe I could tell you how that little experiment I took on panned out." Decisions, decisions! What will our brave Telltale Games protagonist choose?

"Yeah, I know. Its hilarious. Your just lucky that Tawna and I aren't just using Rasielmon right now cause of this holo-suit, cause I would have saw that coming otherwise!" Haru somewhat snidely exclaimed at Isaac, still a hint bit embarassed at the Spirit Wielder's lil' prank. Invisibility as a power certainly did seem to lend to that kinda thing... "Can't you go and use your invisibility to go snoop on girls in the shower or something? Like I dunno, normal dudes would do?"
Or lesbians.
"Oh hush. Since your also me, you're technically too." The girl snidely spoke to herself, Haru's face blushed slightly at her second half's comment, crossing her arms as she rolled her eyes. Still, nonetheless she was amazingly thankful towards Isaac. This whole venture was not an easy one for her... No amount of godly/ungodly power could ever help with revealing a rather embarassing secret to your parents. "Thanks so much for this though Isaac... Seriously. I mean, could you imagine me trying to tell my parents that yeah I kinda died and turned into a Digimon, and now I half the time spend my time merged with another Digimon?" she ended up commenting, noticing their bus starting to come up. "I mean, the first part is already tricky enough... Then I'd have to introduce Tawna and how we met. Its ya know, a domino effect of weird topics."
Your worrying too much.
"I know I'm worrying too much." the girl sighed, briefly watching as Isaac changed back to his human-self, they soon boarding the bus, finding a seat to sit down. Haru couldn't help but eye a sign written in kanji politely reading "Our services do not offer rides to most Digimon above Champion level. Please use a Holosuit or smaller form", eventually finding a seat.
"Ah I'm fine... Tawna and I been talking about it between ourselves these past couple of days... Though what were ya doing anyway?" she ended up asking Isaac, curious as to what they meant. In a weird way, they both still had a lot in common with eachother... blurring the lines of both worlds.

"Aw, using your future vision just to snoop on little ol' me?" Isaac asked, snickering a little at Haru's snark. "I'm honored. And here I thought my pranks were falling on deaf ears." Everything about this plan had been completely worth it. Even Haru's incredulous follow-up got a few more snickers out of Isaac. "Eh. I've already got my Maimai. What would I need to look at other girls for?" he asked. Isaac was many things, but disloyal sure as hell wasn't one of them.
His teasing grin shifted to a more warm one was Haru admitted her gratitude, although he leaned back as if trying to keep it casual. "Hey, it's nothing," he said. "Although not gonna lie, I'm not sure what I'm bringing to the table here. I mean, I'm some weird-looking stranger they've never met before talking about spirits and how your life's been changed forever. They're gonna think you ran off and joined a commune or something. 'Hi? Mr. and Mrs. Toriya? I'm Haru's new yoga instructor.'" Isaac had to abort the bit after that point. He was too busy snickering at how dumb it sounded.
That said, Isaac let himself be more serious when he got that out of his system. "Still, I'm glad I can be there for you," he said. "I know this would've been really hard to do alone. And I'm hoping whatever weird questions I end up throwing in get made up for by you feeling even more ready to tackle this."
Speaking of weird questions, Haru was curious what Isaac had been up to. "Oh, nothing," he said, his casual voice being undermined by his trademark grin of terrible ideas. "Just spent the last month in a bunch of different Digimon forms. Figured it'd be good to read the atmosphere in the room so you'd know how your grand return to the public eye goes, you know? And let me tell you, you'd be surprised by some of the stuff I learned."
This may have been the part where Haru expected this to be another Isaac prank, but he wasn't saying another word. Either he had a really good poker face, or that was the end of the story right there.

Haru actually seemed to flinch visibly hearing Isaac had spent a month just sitting around in his Digimon forms. While she kinda understood the intent, it however sounded EXTREMELY unnecessary in her eyes. "Dude... You didn't have to do that to yourself! You were like stuck as a Digimon for way longer than me! You didn't have to do that for me..." she exclaimed, softly mumbling to herself as a mild look of concern popped up on her face before shaking her head.
What a dork... Maia's got it good. Tawna compliment the young man's style, practically smiling within Haru's mind.
Not one to lose face, Haru just kind of awkwardly laughed, rubbing the back of her forehead as she briefly glanced outside of the moving bus. "I mean... being a Digimon isn't bad of course! I just... I guess I can't really remember how being human is like... so I am really curious what you've noticed Isaac."
It was an embarassing trait of her's. Unlike Isaac, her condition was without a doubt one-hundred percent irreversible. Not a single future glimpsed ever suggested the possibility of coming back to humanity without delving into clearly alternative universe theory, but her frustrations with that knowledge have long since disappeared. Haru closed her blue eyes... and as she opened them, her pupils had taken on the cross-shape of her and Tawna's true identities' own eyes. "We have been pretending to be for quite a while someone that my parents only think we are... but we're tired of pretending. I want to be me." she solemnly spoke in a tone that in a way, didn't sound like Haru OR Tawna... but a combination of both's personalities.
With her Digimon pupils still out, the holosuited girl turned back to Isaac, a curious look on her face. "So, what form should I go with when we crack open the Holosuit? Tawna thinks just sticking to Meicoomon would do us well enough, but I am kinda leaning towards Rasielmon cause thats our most human-looking form and I thought it'd help break the ice some... though a lil' unsure how an angel three times most humans' height would play out." she mused, realizing quite well that none of their forms really were human-size... Digi-gigantism coming into play it seems. "Also no, Ordinemon is NOT an option. Too scary, plus I don't need my boobs out for show-and-tell. Just cause Ayumi is fine with it doesn't mean my folks would!" she ended up adding on, pouting adorably (complete with blush) as she damn well knew Isaac would have likely suggested it as a joke.

Isaac reclined back casually, seemingly much less troubled by his plan than Haru was. "Trust me, it was no sweat," Isaac said. "I mean, I'm a spirit user, remember? I already spend like half of any given day in Digimon form, so what harm's a few more hours gonna be? Besides, can't lie. When I don't have the pressure of not being able to turn back, it's actually kinda fun." That was a luxury Haru didn't get, so Isaac figured it was only fair he put the burden on himself for a bit.
"Well, let's see," Isaac said. "First thing I found out: kids are not scared of us. Like, at all. And I don't just mean my cute forms like Impmon, even if I almost got snatched right off the street by a grabby kid one time. I mean, like, waking up from a nap to find kids playing jump rope with Devidramon's tail. They used DexDorugoramon's tail globe as a jungle gym, for crying out loud. Dex-freaking-Dorugoramon!
You're not gonna have trouble finding a date, either. I mean, it depends on the form, of course, but I did not expect people to keep trying to give Yasyamon their number. I mean, I know Asher's Kinkakumon spirit dug him, but I kinda figured that was a Digimon thing, you know? Not a lonely housewife thing. So, clearly some people are taking to this whole worlds colliding thing way better than others.
Keep any nervous forms clear, too. First time NeoDevimon had a turn, he took one look at the Shibuya skyline and ran for the safety of the forest. You ever have to coax yourself to uncurl out of a ball and go back to the rest of society? It's not as easy as you'd think.
There's definitely some grumpy people. Although they're usually older people, so hopefully you're not gonna have to deal with them as much. People our age are a bit nervous at first, but they get into it really quick. Especially if you're in a form good at partying. Considering all of yours are, like, a 24/7 detox? You'll probably win them over real quick.
Let's see, anything else . . . you're not gonna have much space to do stuff in your bigger forms, so I'd keep to the smaller ones most of the time. Although you've got your holosuit, so you don't really have to worry about that unless you want to. I will say, humans haven't really caught onto all the stuff Digimon can do yet, so if you want to play the slots with Rasielmon now's your chance.
Alright! That should be everything." It seemed like Isaac had really put his backbone into it, which considering his usual study ethic was a major surprise. That said, Haru had an additional wrinkle on top of the usual Digimon problems. Her personality had also settled somewhat into a mix of Haru's and Tawna's, and that was also something the Toriya's would have to deal with. "Everyone has to grow up sometime," Isaac said, shrugging. "We all change on our parents at some point. You just did a bit more literally, too. But they're your parents. So I know they'll show you that same love and respect even if they're caught off guard at first."
That just left the question of forms. "Meicoomon's cute, and probably the least straining to hold onto, but I could see looking totally like a cat throwing them off," Isaac said, letting out a slight hum as he pondered. "Rasielmon's most human like, so I think that'll set them at ease. Although if we're gonna be inside for this, Meicrackmon's probably the least likely knock everything over. So I'd say Meicrackmon indoors, Rasielmon outside."
Wait, was Haru seriously bringing up Ordinemon? Immediately Isaac found himself laughing at the idea. "God, could you imagine? Not even I'd offer advice like that!" he said. "What, would you show up as the tiny one, or make yourself bigger than their house just to really get the point across?
Oh, do they know about Ayumi? Might be good to lead in with that, too. Parents love hearing about SOs, and it'll save me a lot of awkward questions, too."

Isaac's long list of points were honestly pretty interesting to note. Haru had been personally avoiding breaking out of her Holosuit for the longest while due to being unsure of just how people would react... but seemed not. "Dude... DexDorugoramon is like mega-child-unfriendly. You are covered in blades! The hell were these kids' parents?" she ended up quietly exclaiming, a bit baffled at the (admittingly adorable thought) of these kids turning a demonic or undead dragon into their own lil' playground.
Oh... You know, she couldn't blame perhaps most people when it came to being xenophiliacs towards Digimon. After ALL, she and Ayumi kinda were dating still... and Ayumi DAMN well knew what she was too. "You know, I'm not surprised... People call Japan the weird uncle of the world for a reason. I mean, I guess if I were single I could cover the nekomimi and furry ends of weirdness pretty well... and I guess also if people are really into extremely tall chicks."
Haru did seem to slightly sigh when it came to being reminded of her forms' quirk about toxins. So much for drunk college parties, huh? "Eh... drinking doesn't interest me anymore. Hard to get into it when even bleach doesn't cut it these days. Then again, guess everyone could use a designated driver."
As for the potential abuse of her forms' abilities, Haru admittingly had to draw the line at outright cheating. "I mean I'm already using my forms to my advantage, though to like an education. I'm taking an internship towards computer programming development and management, which has been on the rise what with Digimon being a more known thing now. When your brain is basically a super-computer in processing, it kinda makes a lot of this stuff child's play not gonna lie." she spoke, that seemingly ending that end of the conversation.
The world has nicely adapted it seems to our presence... I hope that it continues to be that way. Tawna quietly spoke within her mind, Haru lightly nodding in response.
Haru ended up smiling warmly to Isaac, his words of kindness and reassurance warming her artificial heart. "Heh ~ Your right. I know they won't be expecting it, but I don't have to see the future to know they'll put their doubts and worries behind."
Now came the attack plan... it wasn't too terribly long before the bus would soon arrive at their stop, so this was their chance to figure this stuff out. "Well, I asked mom if we could do like a barbeque outside... so the indoors thing isn't an issue. I suppose Meicrackmon would be a happy medium as well as long as I stick to the not-actually-a-Vaccine variant. You know... the one that doesn't look like I'm gonna turn someone into glue?" she ended up insightfully adding her own opinions to the mix, idly wondering if the furriness would still catch them off-guard. "Like definitely first gotta drop the bomb that I'm a Digimon, then maybe split up so they can meet Tawna? You know, I never actually introduced them to Tawna even back when I was still human... and I mean, she's legit basically now my second sister. She deserves a chance to meet them."
And I'm very excited too ~
Haru couldn't help but let out a slight giggle, figuring that Ordinemon would have been a very terrible idea. "Human-size I think, but yeah still probably not the best idea to go all kaiju ever in the human world... even if Ayumi likes Ordinemon." she ended up smiling as she rubbed the back of her head. Speaking of Ayumi... "Should I mention before the bomb, or after? No idea how they'll handle a transhuman slash human relationship that is also borderline lesbian. Borderline since you know... technically genderless, but not really?"

"There were a bunch of older women hanging off of some MagnaAngemon's arms, so maybe that's where they were all at," Isaac said. Then he froze up, eyes widening. He slapped himself on the forehead as realization hit him like a brick. "Oh, god damnit Elliot," he muttered. And he thought he had it stressful enough as Yasyamon! An actual hunk like MagnaAngemon must've been practically buried alive in the ladies. But why did that hunk have to be his brother?
At least Haru caught onto that. "See? That's the spirit!" Isaac said. "Focus on the good parts of all this. Sure, you can't fit through most doors, but plenty of people'd move heaven and earth to let you in anyway." That was probably a metaphor for something, at least! Who said Isaac couldn't be a font of wisdom when he wanted to be? "I mean, heck. Think about how this is gonna change the job market. I bet I could make a killing between gigs delivering pizzas at Devidramon speeds."
What would she be spending with the possible DigiMoney to be made? Clearly not drinks. Isaac found it hard not to start laughing at what Haru had to say. "Wait, you actually drink bleach?" he asked, amazed at how far Haru was willing to push the limits of her poison immunity. "Holy shit, you're crazy. And all this time I thought you were messing around about all that." At least judging by the grin on his face, he wasn't actually worried. He seemed to trust Haru to know what she was doing, even when it was something crazy like this.
Haru's work ideas were way better than Isaac's. Slowly, the amused grin on his face shifted to one of pride. "I knew you had it in you," he said. "Sometimes I wonder if I should go back to school. But trying to get more into acting means I really don't have time for it. Guess that'll just have to be a could've been, you know?"
Meicrackmon seemed like the most in-between option in Haru's mind. Isaac wasn't too sure he agreed, though. "I mean, right size. But wrong shape," he said. "Or right shape, wrong face? I mean, you'll still look like a cat. That might throw them off a bit, although I guess that's kinda the point. I still think Rasielmon's got the best shot of easing them into it, but that might just be human bias talking.
Oh, and god. Yeah, definitely save the Tawna surprise for a bit. No offense to either of you two, but I think them finding out about how you . . . change is gonna throw them for way more of a loop than how you look," he added. He didn't want to sound offensive, but it was true. "I know when my mom learned Elliot and I could fuse, she damn near fainted."
The Ayumi news was definitely the easiest. "Maybe bridge it?" he asked. "It's like a compliment sandwich. Crazy thing, sweet thing, crazy thing. And come on, if they can roll with you being an extradimensional being, I'm sure they can handle a bit of love between girls."

“Guess can’t blame them. MagnaAngemon is pretty hot… Just hope those gals weren’t thinking of scoring with him. He’s KINDA Wren’s property last time I heard… that and ya know, he is a minor still.” she ended up commenting, rolling her eyes with Isaac. Dork still had a way to go, but damn if he and Wren weren’t a cute couple… even if Wren seemed to prefer denying their humanity. Wren was a very unusual young girl… fitting for an unusual young man she supposed. “Still totally ship those two ~ Wren I know would probably still kill to be a mon, but she seems happy with who she is, as is Elliot. They fit so well together.” she teased. It was a good sign when the number of good futures pertaining to something like a relationship outnumbered the bad ones… And yes, she was counting the weird ones too.
“Aww gee, you gotta remind me about doorways? Being that tall kinda sucks when it's your most natural form…” she ended up commenting, wincing slightly at previous experiences bumping her head on doorways in the past. “I know I can use other forms, but its not the same. It's MY answer to your human form Isaac. It's the one I am most comfortable in.” she ended up adding in, though was distracted briefly by the mental image of pizza delivery service Devidramon.
Yeah, that doesn’t seem like a good idea. Would be like us using Raguelmon for that.
Haru actually was mildly caught off-guard by Isaac. He actually THOUGHT they were kidding about that? Well, that was mildly surprising… she had thought all her friends were now used to her and Tawna’s extreme omnivorous nature. “I used to think it was weird when I was human seeing Tawna do it, but I have to say its a guilty pleasure. It has this salty, bitter taste… though I mix in personally a lil’ fruit juice into it. Has a nice kick to it that most alcohol doesn’t cut these days, but I would absolutely NEVER try that if I were you… Maybe unless you were DexDorugoramon…? Ah, nevermind.” she rambled for a bit, realizing how silly the conversation was. She seriously was talking about drinking bleach in public… somehow this wasn’t the weirdest thing today.
Still, the holosuited Digimon girl couldn’t help but let out a casual laugh towards Isaac’s advice. “No, no! Human bias is good! We need to try and think like we’re humans first, so the more we can do to try and be able to relate with my parents… the better! Meicrackmon is maybe a bit… suggestive? I mean, not my fault that the data goes to my hips in that form, but perhaps the naked woman cat with a stinger tail is probably not the best option here.” she mused, it seeming that Rasielmon would be the way to go than.
Beyond that, revealing Tawna probably should come later after they manage to settle thing down. The better they manage to get her folks to accept her for who she was, the easier that probably would have been. Ayumi frankly was a side attraction as well, so for now… pushed off to the side. “We’ll figure that out later. For now, operation Nephilim is the plan.” she spoke, her eyes dilating as she noticed that they were nearing their stop. If she were out of her holosuit, her tails would have been twitching like mad from excitement. “Oh! We’re almost there!”
Sure enough, the bus had stopped by a fairly-quiet, clean neighborhood away from the bustle of the city, Haru already making her way out of the bus as she motioned Isaac to come along. “My folks’ house is nearby, come on!”
