The sky and the sea. These were the only clues Tink had to her past. She looked in both the sky and the sea, and found... some things... but ultimately there were more questions than answers. The sky and the sea. Still these echo and nag, but still she knows not what they mean. The sky and the sea. She searched the sky, she searched the sea, what was left?
The sky AND the sea.
Maybe she was looking at it all wrong? Maybe it is someplace high up in the water? Or near water? Some place high, near a sea or an... Ocean.
"Tink? Tink...?" Musclemon waves a beefy hand in front of the pale, stunned fairy's face. "What's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost!"
"N-no... I haven't... not yet." Tink curls up into a ball, lying on the ground. She was not quite motionless, however, shivering as if the temperature had suddenly dropped fifty degrees. "Are... are you afraid of anything?"
"Not that I know of! Except disappointing you, of course!"
"Good... carry me to... the Dark Area." "Huh, for a second there, I thought you said the Dark Area. But you aren't that crazy so I must have misheard you." "..." "..."
Hours later, Musclemon lowers Tink onto the crimson ground. Was it actually night time, or is it just the gloom of the Dark Area? Neither of them know. All that Tink knows is that they are now where the Sea of Blood meets the Cliffs of Madness that touch the dark sky.
The dark area a place filled with the beautiful stench and decay of desperate living It was a normal day...? Night...? To be honet it was kinda hard to know the dark area wasn't the brightest place on the digital world, the point is that it wasn't a day out of the ordinary, a rookie virus type was visiting the Cliffs of Chaos formally known as the Edge of Madness, an interesting place with beautiful crimson red cliff that offer a good view to the Sea of Blood.
Gazimon enjoyed this place, not only had a nice view but sometimes a small weak digimon comes here and the virus type wont say no to a free meal, the dog digimon was making some traps and digging holes to see if someone would fall when his nose got the smell of a pair of digimon comming to where he was, Gazimon stick his head out of the hole he was digging and take a look at what his nose caught, one small fairy and one beefy mamemon thing... The Tinkermon seemed like the easy target but for now it should best to just stay hidden and see what they do. Log Gazimon is spying on Tinkermon and Musclemon hiding in one of the many trap holes he digged
"Look Tink," Musclemon says worriedly as he slowly walks, Tink floating alongside him, "I really don't like this place! It gives me bad vibes!"
"I know, I know. But I can't turn back now! This has to be the answer I was looking for!" Curiosity won over fear in the little fairy, and her size makes it hard for both emotions to share the same space. "This is the sky and the sea - even though the sea is icky and the sky is weird..."
A shiver runs up and down Tink's spine as she hovers in place. Oblivious to her halting, Musclemon continues ahead, only for the ground to give way beneath him. "I told yooooou...!" he shouts as he plummets into the trap.
Tink's wings are like flashbulbs, bursting brightly with annoyance then fading back to a sigh of light. "Are you okay down there," she asks.
"Been better! It is a bit of a tight squeeze! Might take me some time to climb!"
Well that was fast... The beefy mamemon surely is not the brightest tool on the box if he fall inot one of his traps so fast, he didn't have the time to properly disguise them but well Gazimon would not complain that makes everything ten times more easy, the virus type got out of his hiding spot and walked towards Tink giving a nice look to the small fairy, didn't seem that strong but if he knows something is that appereance may be deceiving.
"Well, well, well, look what I have here..." He said with a devilish smile, it wasn't nothing personal Virus eat Data that's how it works. "You're a little far away from home don't you little fairy? Good news is you're just in time for lunch, wanna join?" He asked trying to sound as friendly as possible.
It would be smart to separate this pair even more, Gazimon didn't know how strong Musclemon is but he did seem like the major threat and that hole wouldn't put it out of commision for much time, gaining Tinkermon's trust and striking when she least expect was his best course of action.
A Dark Area Digimon appearing at the same time Tink's bodyguard falls into a trap? Not suspicious in the least, right? Tink smiles as friendly and cutely as she could, but her wings blink and flicker. It was obvious that she was nervous. "Hello cutie," she says disarmingly, "are you here to help my friend? I'm sure someone as big and strong as you wouldn't bother hurting someone like me, right?"
The Gazimon then invites her to lunch, sending a many red flags off in her mind. However, perhaps he is sincere. Maybe he is just inviting a fellow Virus Attribute Digimon for a shared meal. Or maybe this is his way of asking her out on a date? She blushes softly, looking away slightly but indirectly glancing at him. "You really are a gentleman, aren't you~? How sweet of you<3 I accept!"
The Tinkermon was a little nervous which send a warning that he should be careful or his food was going to run away, even when he is friendly he scare everyone, at least the fairy wasn't running away and she was trying to be friendly too, might as well play along a little.
"Oh no, not at all" he comment when Tink said that he wasn't going to hurt her. "I may live here on the dark area, but you know not everyone is evil, they just see me and are like "please don't eat me" or something, I have feelings too I just want to have friends but everybody runs..." He sighed ignoring Tink comment about helping her friend, the last thing Gazimon wanted was tha beefy thing around.
To be completely fair Gazimon does not expect for this to work so when Tink blushed and look away accepting his invitation like a shy grl who a handsome boy just ask her out the virus digimon stood there speechless for a couple of seconds blinking in a complete state of incredulity... This was certainly the easiest "hunt" he has ever had, why can't he find more digimons as innocents as this Tinkermon.
"Glad you accept my invitation, I live all the way down this cliff, hope you like a house on the "beach", granted the sea of the beach is blood and the house is an old shack, but it's the only I can afford on a place like this, but surely a cutie like you wouldn't mind that much, right my lady?" UGH acting this nice was going to be the end of Gazimon. "Oh, where are my manners? I'm Gaz and I'm pleased to meet you, now would you love to be carried to my lovely home? I'm sure you don't want to fly all the way there, it can be a little exhausting, right? Hopefully Tinkermon would buy this "sweet gentleman" act
Poor Gazimon. It must be tough looking for a friend in the Dark Area. Tink does not yet completely understand the concept of friendship, but it is one which she is curious about. Perhaps she doesn't have to be as nervous around the Gazimon as she first thought.
Gazimon sure was pouring on the charm! It did not even occur to her that he was doing the same thing she was trying to do to him - whereas she was using charm to get him to NOT eat her, she didn't even consider that he might be using charm to lure her into a trap where he WILL eat her.
The Sea of Blood was gross, but any place could be nice with the right company - and as far as Tink was concerned, the Gazimon was the right company. "A-a cutie like me," she asks, blushing even more deeply, almost swooning. Well, she WAS pretty cute, that wasn't a surprise to her. She was just glad he noticed. "I don't mind, I'm sure your place is nice enough..."
The gentleman even offered to carry Tink! Chivalry is not dead after all! "Thank you Gaz.. my name is Tink, and I would be delighted if you were to carry me." Yes, carry her... into the belly of the beast.
This must be some kind of joke, it can't be this easy, how is this digimon even still alive if she trust anyone calling her cute? It seems like she had never face another digimon or think about the possible intentions of someone else, maybe she's like that because the Musclemon crush every single mon trying to talk to her just to protect the Tinkermon's innocense, if that was the case Gazimon was glad that the dumb muscle fell through the trap hole.
As she accepted to be carried Gazimon gently pick Tink and place her on his back and starting walking in all fours likea normal dog leaving that beefy mamemon alone on the hole, it didn't take long to leave the rocky cliff and find the soft sand, the more the sand was near the blood sea the more it take a cute pinkish coloration, Gazimon decided to talk while they went to his house.
"You know.... This place kinda sucks... It's all dark and red and it has a gloomy feeling most of the time, doesn't help that I'm all alone here, but if I have to say something nice is that it teaches you to appreciate all the small things that life gives you." He said, not the best start of a conversation to be honest, but could be worse and an awkward silence wasn't an options since he wanted to be sure he had Tink's trust. For example today I'm having lunch with a cute girl and there is a high probabilty we're goint to start a friendship!" UGH... That sounded so corny that if he was another digimon he would already punch him in the face for saying that. You never know when a big bad evil digimon will come out of nowhere and erase you, so it's better to just appreciate everything you have now, and I'm glad I met you today I know this is the beginning of a nice relationship!" Hopefully this Tinkermon would be worth the effor...
Tink must be crushing hard, falling for the Gazimon, to not notice the danger she's in. She snuggles right into Gaz's fur as he carries her to his home on the beach. Others have called her cute before, and have gotten reactions out of her, but to completely disarm her like this? It must be love. Or something. Maybe she's just in a romantic mood from having to deal with Musclemon all this time and finally meeting someone who is at least a little more... "gentlemanly"... than him.
Tink sighs softly and sweetly as Gaz mentions how bad and lonely his place is. "You don't have to worry about that anymore, Gaz. Now you found another Virus Digimon that understands being lonely."
Again Gaz calls Tink cute, causing her teeny tiny heart to skip a beat. He keeps talking about friendship, but... "Maybe... maybe it will be more than friendship? B-but I-I'm not thinking about anything romantic or anything...u-unless you are but if not... we can totally be friends~! Friendship is wonderful, I don't have a lot of friends... and none that I see very often... if anything happens to me, I'm not sure anyone would notice."
Ok the fairy was getting sweeter and sweeter something that even Gaz couldn't ignore, blushing a little when she mentioned that he wont have to worry about being alone anymore, of all the lies he was telling the only truth was the he indeed was alone of course in the dark area that was something to be thankful since in any minute someone might back stab you, but loneliness wasn't good either, unfortunately for Tink her sweetness is not going to save her.
"So you're a virus type huh? You totally fool me, thought you were Data there was no way a beautiful girl like you could be Virus" There was some truth on those words, he didn't expect for her to be a virus, shame Data types have a better taste. "I even could've thought you were a vaccine and someday will turn into a gorgeous angel!" To be honest Gazimon hated vaccine and angel digimons but he was sure that was what Tink would love to hear.
After a couple of minutes they finally got to the Virus digimon home, it was a really old wooden shack, nothing to interesting in the outside and the inside wasn't any better, it had very improvise fire place and using a big log for a table and a small one for a chair.
"Welcome to my lovely home... Like I said it's not great but it's what I can afford" He said and then raise an eyebrow when Tink suggested been more than friends. "It'll be an honor if a girl like you chose a guy like me to be more than just a friend" And with that he meant for the little Tinkermon to be his meal but not just yet, he has to play a little more and when she has completely lowered her guard take her out in one strike. "Would you like to do something before lunch? You know setting the romantic mood and see where things go"
Were there any lows Gazimon wouldn't sink to in completely shattering Tink's defenses? Too beautiful to be a Virus attribute, was she? "Well... looks can be deceiving," she says bashfully. "But I'm definitely Virus attribute... as unfortunate as that is in this world." Her lovey-dovey attitude has a cloud over it for the moment, and the cloud becomes stormy as Gazimon's 'angel' compliment backfires. "That is very sweet of you... but most angels are all stuck up and are big jerks." She smiles softly. "Besides, you're cuter and handsomer than any angel," she lies. Why do Angemon have to be so- but she's with a sweet, cute Gazimon now, no need to worry about that.
Tink realizes Gazimon wasn't exaggerating about his home's condition, but it wasn't unmanageable. There was a nice warm romantic fireplace, and a sort of rustic charm. "A-and... I would also be honored if you saw me as more than a friend too.." At the mention of doing something to set the romantic tone, new warning signals went off in her head, but not of the same kind. Instead, her panic was of a more innocent nature. "I...um... I have to be honest. I've never.... been on a date before, and while I can tell what things are romantic when I see or hear them... I have no idea what to do to make things romantic and stuff..." This wasn't something she really wanted to admit, as her deep red tint shows.
The tone shift on Tinkermon made Gaz realize that he screw it up, all the previous effort to the trash can, now he has to keep this act for longer, why did he had to compare her to a vaccine Angel? He should've known that it wouldn't take it in a good way, any virus type would be disgusted when compare to a vaccine... But hey Tink still call him cute and handsome maybe he didn't lose after all.
"Fair enough, please forgive me, I didn't mean to offend you"
Now to fix this moodwhiplash, once inside his house Gazimon gently placed Tink on the big Log table and he sit on the other log Chair, now what should he do? This was hard for him, after all living all alone and attacking everyone who was near his territory doesn't teach you good social skill.
"Oh don't worry" He gave a soft pat on Tink's head "I'll be the first one to admit that I don't know much about romance either... But I'm sure we can make it work, like I said what would you love to do?"
Forgive Gaz, for what? Tink has already almost forgotten the insult. It wasn't as if he meant anything by it. Angels were beautiful in many ways, as she reluctantly admits. Gaz still had her eating out of the palm of his hand, although she had no idea that he'd be eating her out of the palm of his hand if she wasn't careful.
So far, she wasn't.
Tink sits calmly on the table, though her wings shimmer and vibrate, very neatly representing her heart right now. The head pat doesn't help, either, causing her to sigh softly and sweetly. "mm... that was nice. Maybe we could... um... just snuggle by the fire, pressed up against each other, maybe hold hands -though mine are tiny so you'd have to be careful, y'know..." She tries to think of more romantic things to do. "Um... I could try singing for you, or... I dunno... I'm so nervous I'm tensing up and going blank... being with such a sweet-talking, good-looking Digimon is really getting to me~"
Well it seems that Gaz didn't really lose much terrain and still had Tink's trust, good lunch will be ready in a couple of minutes then, he just needs to put her in a position she wont have time to react when he decides to attack, for now it would be best to keep playing, he stand up and clashing two rocks ignited the fire place then gently pick up Tink carry her near the fire, he softly press Tinkermon's body against his.
"I guess it's going to be dificult hold hands, but hope this works a little better" Gaz kept petting Tink's head. "Oh there's no need to be nervous, we're not going to do anything you don't want to, if you just want to cuddle in silences it's ok, if you want to sing I wont say no, maybe you want to share a kiss and if that's the case I'll feel like the luckiest digimon, then again it all depends on what you want, I really like you Tink your company is all I need" For Yggdrasil's sake all the corny things he has to say for food...
Well at least he had Tink where he wanted the only thing that can ruin his plan is that the dumb muscle comes out of nowhere right now, but hopefully that's not gonna happen and if it does... Well he can use Tink as a hostage, although keep playing nice guy and split them would be the smart idea Gazimon is tired of this act already.
The warmth of the fire... the warmth of the cute Gazimon... the warmth in her heart... there was no coldness, so why did Tink feel a shiver? A worried spark of caution tries to ignite, but is quickly smothered out by Gazimon's soft caresses. She presses up even more firmly, practically melting at his touch. Her eyes half-close in relaxed, romantic bliss.
Gaz's touch and reassurances remove Tink's nervousness handily, putting her in a state of relaxed happiness that is sure to have lowered her guard, at least a little. "Thank you," she coos softly. Snuggles in silence or singing? She wasn't sure, and Gaz seems to feel either or is fine.
Then he mentions kissing. Again, Tink's wings vibrate as she blushes deeply. If he tried to kiss her, or told her to, she probably would have stabbed him and flew off. If he firmly asked her to kiss him, she may have slapped him, or told him 'no'. But... he was actually asking her if she wanted to, as neither of them were experts in romance. And it would make him the happiest Digimon ever - that means Tink is very special! "O-okay," she replies nervously. She flies to his cheek and kisses it, then the other... then tries to figure out how to kiss lips that much bigger than hers.
