MPC: Me and My Shadow

Yet another day has come and gone. It had been about two and a half years since Dante and Judith moved to Shibuya. Ever since that day, their lives had been completely different. Dante's past accomplishments as a Tamer were too many to list. Defeating Revan and Shirou at the end of the Data Core tournament. Saving an ancient area of the Digital World from the wrath of a high sorceress. Stopping the evil Goddess Azetramon twice. Dante, Wormmon, and all of their friends had quite the stories to tell about their time together.
While focusing on living the life of a Tamer, as well as being lazy, Dante had neglected other areas of his life. He almost never went to his college classes anymore. He isn't keeping up with his marital arts training. Aside from often playing the hero, and sometimes maybe even the villain depending on who you ask, Dante didn't have much to show for his time here in Japan. His family is starting to worry about his lack of forward progress.
Judith wakes up in the morning to the sunlight gleaming in through between the window blinds. The young blonde is excited about meeting with her agent about a record deal that could jumpstart her fledgling career as a J-Pop idol. As she is getting ready, she gets a call from her mother. Her expression turns to devastation and then anger when she hears the news. Judith finishes getting ready, wearing a yellow and black coat and white shorts.
Dante and Wormmon are sitting on the couch in the living room, still awake from the night before. They are playing video games, and the coffee table is covered in beer bottles and soda cans. Dante has his laptop sitting on the end table next to him. Dante beats Wormmon at a racing game, and Wormmon chucks the controller across the room, landing in a half empty laundry bin.
"That is bullshit! I was ahead for most of the race, and I still lost. Stupid game mechanics, rewarding players for being bad at the game."
"Ah, stop making excuses and take the L, little buddy."
Judith walks into the living room, glaring down at her loser brother.
"Did you have fun playing your stupid game? You are so pathetic sometimes."
"Someone's in a bad mood. Leave me alone, I need to read these posts on the forums."
Dante reaches over towards his laptop, but Judith walks over and closes it shut.
"I just got off the phone with Mom. She said that you've been dropped from your college classes."
"College?! Haha, why would Dante need to go to college? To meet chicks? He's got me, and we don't need a degree to kick ass. Ho yeah!"
"This is serious. Our parents are cutting off our funds. This could put my whole music career in danger."
"Well, it wasn't much of a career to begin with. Wait, what?!"
"That's right. We're going to have to start paying for everything now. How do you expect to pay for the house payment?"
"Don't worry about the money, Judith. We'll just rob a bank or something."
"Sis, relax. It's all going to be fine."
"Maybe you think so, but it isn't. I'm meeting with my agent today, and if things do not go well, I might have to move out and go back to America."
"But you can't move out, Judith! You are making a big deal out of this. I'll get ready and go to class, once you make some coffee."
"It's too late. You've already been dropped from your remaining classes. You had to know this day would come. My career isn't taking off, and you've been slacking with your classes. I'm sorry, Dante, but I don't know if we can keep this up anymore. We'll talk more about it later."
Judith heads to the front door and leaves the house. Dante can't believe it. Was this really the end of this chapter in his life? He doesn't want to move, and he certainly doesn't want his sister out on her own. Wormmon looks up at Dante with an anxious expression across his face.
"So can we play a few more tracks?"
"No, let's go down to the college and get this straightened out."
