Everything was finally out in the open: everything that made up the two was laid out before the other, and at this point, Mikemon wasn't being shy about the details. In this space, he even managed a small chuckle, a smirk matching Tawna's own: "K's the light of my world. We've settled on it long ago: its not about what we were, its about who we are." That was the deal between the Renamon and the Mikemon, but didn't it apply here too?
Seeing that memory play before his eyes, Mikemon looked on with interest, feeling a sting in his heart at the way Tawna, as the Salamon, struggled in her youth. Gritting his teeth, giving himself a slow breath to relax, his ear twitched at Tawna's actual words. Even the innocent could be made into remorseless monsters. "Well..."
It wasn't easy, but the mind paved its way open to another memory...
The dust of a recent, harsh battle hung in the air, the rare red sun of the Dark Area bleeding over the scene of the fight. There, in the middle, the Barbamon stood with his arms outstretched, a great mass of data drawn towards the center of his chest. Behind him, one could hear rambunctious cheers - and before them, the angelic army with their defeated morale:
"G... Golden Rapidmon..."
"Hmph." Clacking his staff on the ground, Greed gave a fierce chuckle, directing his staff forth. "Men, the battle is won! Rout out the rest, and return to our lands by dawn!" With a smile on his face, and the roar of his own army of myriad figures, the Barbamon turned back to move through the crowd... though under his cloak, he grasped at his chest, feeling a deep pain within his own core.
"That wound." The cat gave a sigh: "That Rapidmon had given everything it could to try and stop me - and if I hadn't managed to load his data, I wouldn't be standing here at all. Even then, I realized my time as a Lord was short - but for a time, I had to keep the facade. Well... maybe I'll show you more later. But for now, I believe our time runs short."
He extended out his hand, once more, the room beginning to fill with light...
Recognizing Form... OK
JOGRESS ENGAGE "What the...!"
Though that span would seem to have lasted for several minutes, for both Haru and the Gallantmon, it was naught more than a span of a few seconds. At a glance, it appeared that the smaller cat's form had vanished, Tawna's own body glowing with a fierce red color. Slowly, the figure moved to stand at its full height, a fierce roar filling the sky - a dark streak of lightning roaring overhead.
With a flash, the form took shape - though one might have mistaken it for a simple change of color, there was far much more to it. The crimson-clad beast took a brief look down at their darkened nails, clutching each claw once or twice. This form was decidedly more 'focused' than Tawna's own.
But the Gallantmon, of similar strength, raised his shield up to defend. "Fine, then, struggle to your last!" He seemed no less confident than before, keeping his high tension to focus on the fight ahead.
"... She still believes." Mikemon and Tawna's echoed voice radiated over each-other: reaching up to her pauldrons, the beast pulled the two crystals free, and released them, one emerald orb and one amethyst orb circling around in a radius around the pair. Past that, they took their stance - one much more fitting for Tawna - and stood, ready in wait.
The Gallantmon himself started this fight his own way, the shield giving a fierce glow, directed straight for the beast's center:
"Shield of the Just!"
A massive blast of continuous energy roared out, aiming to slam right through the new Raguelmon's midsection - but the knight didn't expect that to be the end of it. In whatever direction they would move to dodge, the Gallantmon would redirect the shield, trying to track his target's path!

Tawna lightly smiled at Mikemon, despite knowing how strenuous this was for them both... having to confront their demons like this was not an easy task all-around, and they both were needing to do so in the harshest manner. If anything, knowing that the doctor had his own people he cared about... well, it did lighten the mood even just slightly. "I can tell you really care about her... She's your Haru." the feline spoke, gazing at the second memory... a glimpse at whom the doctor once was, and the first seed of whom they would soon become... "In a way, I suppose that Rapidmon did win in the end... Greed's reign of terror one day ended, even if not in a manner anyone perhaps expected." the Meicoomon mused, taking the doctor's paw.
Now wasn't the time to dwell on their past though... Not while they had a future to protect. The maine coone's emerald eyes gazed at the doctor, she smiling as she nodded. "Later maybe... but let us not keep everyone waiting."
Back in the real time-flow, Gallantmon was not the only one caught off-guard by the sudden and miraculous transformation that had just occurred... Haru was forced to turn her head away from the ominous red light, it feeling like even the heavens themselves were quaking in fear at this form. By the time the girl was able to focus once more, Gallantmon was already launching an attack at Tawna...
No... Tawna AND Mikemon.
The Raguelmon variant seemed to slightly tilt their head almost mockingly at the knight as they readied an attack, a massive current of energy quickly expelled from the shield at the corrupted beast. The speed and relative close-range would have given little oppurtunity to dodge... but the DNA Super Mega held no fear. Instead, they merely calmly directed the emerald-green levitating orb by their side in-front of them... the orb extending out into a brilliantly-gleaming shield that absorbed the massive force that had threatened to tear them apart with only mild-difficulty. As soon as the attack ended, the only sound the Raguelmon did manage to mutter was a scoff, almost sounding disappointed. As this is happening, the shield began to become jagged... almost ominously so.
Raguelmon - Crimson has used Crystal Shield to block Shield of the Just
Crystal Shield - On use, both of Raguelmon’s crystal spheres expand outward in a lattice pattern, creating a floating, circular shield able to block damage from one side, able to take a direct hit from a super mega. The turn after its used, the central crystals leave the shell of the shields, allowing Raguelmon to use the ‘shells’ as razor-bladed frisbees. "Tch!"
The shift of power was immediately evident to the Gallantmon. Rather than try and move or push away, this newly-formed Raguelmon stood its ground, and even raised a shield to block the attack. Lesser ones would have been rend straight away, but the energy from his blast was split in twain, the wisps of his power racing past Crimson Raguelmon's right and left sides. Seeing that prepared shield, the dragon knight gave a knowledgeable growl.
"So you're still able to use some of Greed's tricks, then?" It seemed that Mikemon had used a variation of that technique in his prior form. If this was the case, a long-range assault simply wasn't going to cut it. Instead, the Knight tensed up his form - now raising his own shield in front - and gave a headlong charge towards the beast, to cut the distance! During this charge, his lance gave a surge - a Lightning Joust fired as he moved to cut the distance!
Meanwhile, in that shared space of the mind, Mikemon's mind was racing - the thoughts were not just his, but Tawna would definitely feel that thought in her head:
Now that he knows what we are, he's not going to drop his guard unless he knows he can get a good shot in. We either need to hit him from an unexpected angle, or take care of that shield!

Bullseye. Perhaps Gallantmon underestimated the form they were in initially... But things were more clear than ever that the odds have swung back into the balance! This was no longer a grudge match between a Super Mega and two Mega levels... this was a clash of titans, a duel to the death between a harbinger of so-called justice and repentent demons.
The Raguelmon recoiled from the shock of the blast blocked by their shield, the echoes of Mikemon's voice permeating in the DNA Super Mega's mind. Tawna's own mind was perhaps not as fast-thinking as Mikemon, but even she had to realize this was a fight that brute force just did not cut it. Working on it! He's damn fast though... We're taking this into the air, away from Haru!
At the Gallantmon's approach, the demonic angel let out a growl as the shield projected from the sphere shattered... and violently too. Enough to be sent flying towards Gallantmon! The intent was to slow their approach enough to give enough time to back off... sliding within a portal that materialized behind them and reappearing far up in the sky!
Raguelmon - Crimson has fired off the attack from Crystal Shield to try and slow Gallantmon down, using Cosmic Journey to escape into the air.
Cosmic Journey- A variant of Brane Jumper, Raguelmon creates a dimensional gateway to travel. In combat, it functions more or less exactly the same as Brane Jumper; allowing her to more or less as a free-action teleport moderate distances even in mid-combat. They are also able to be used to extend the range of her attacks (though other attacks will rupture them entirely) or to assist in dodging an attack. The only real limitations of this ability is that they can only rip about two holes a turn, one entry hole and one exit hole. Cooldown: 2 Posts

A dodge through a portal through the skies? Then it wasn't just Greed's tricks that were holding up this combined from - bracing himself, the Gallantmon raised his shields, both it and himself standing quite firm against that crystal barrage.
"You've got some tricks... but don't think this is my first time fighting an equal!" Compared to the freshly created Crimson Raguelmon, Gallantmon had much more experience under his belt: swiftly pushing off the ground, the dragon knight took to the air, raising his lance towards the sky. Upon seeing that, 'Mikemon' grit his teeth, expanding out their wings to their maximum width.
"Holy Ward!"
The declaration echoed out throughout the field, as a golden light filtered down from the sky, focused on the Raguelmon's back. Under that light, the DNA Digimon would likely feel like they were weighed down by several tons of weight, very quickly losing altitude. The spread wings would have done enough to increase the drag and slow the process, but they had to do something other than that in the long run!

When it came to how the pair of Super Mega levels were matched, there was no denying that this was a real clash of titans... Like it or not thought, the Tawna half of Raguelmon Crimson was struggling to keep up with the pace of the fight; she was thankful though Mikemon's years of experience were there to help them both stay on top of things. While the barrage of crystals weren't damaging, they did seem to least do a decent job at forcing a defensive approach from the knight... but it was leaving an openly-glaring flaw towards their approach against Gallantmon. That shield... It has to go! the Meicoomon breed Digimon thought, realizing the pain it was becoming. However, a divine light cast down from the heavens on them was enough to cause the fallen angel to plummet downward to even the pair's best effort. Mikemon was able to slow their descent... but they were being given no chance to easily retaliate!
Haru down at the ground was forced to retreat... Look, she had her friends to take care of, but the fight was getting intense! Too much for a human like her! She could feel her friends' desperation fighting to survive... and she felt the drive to do whatever she could to help them! As the girl ran to try and increase the distance between them... she managed to pull out a card and slice it through her D-Arc; the environment quickly enshrouded by an abyssal darkness that spanned a huge area... too much for the girl to easily maneuver through, it feeling like she wading through mud of some kind! It felt gross and wrong...
For Tawna and Mikemon though...? Regrettably, not even an inconvenience... a sign of the taint their souls have endured.
The Raguelmon Crimson was while forced to land, they surely wouldn't have been taking this without the intent to fight back! Wielding that surrounding darkness as if it were clay, the DNA Super Mega's right claw was enveloped in murky blackness before unleashing a particularly familiar technique... albeit one amped up severely by both the power gap between Mikemon's Mega AND the surrounding abyss!
Weighed down by Holy Ward, Raguelmon Crimson was forced to descend. Haru had scanned Gigabyte Abyss, but the shadows are also heavily slowing her down. Raguelmon Crimson has fired off Shadow Stitching!

At the very least, Tawna's efforts to take this fight into the air had bought enough time for Haru to start to clear out of the area. Of course, she had to get some distance from the fight - of course they cared for her safety, but the distraction of having to cover for her would have given them a severe disadvantage. Even now, Mikemon's focus was brought solely on the dragon, Tawna's words buzzing in the back of his ear.
Fine, then let's do something about it! It was a bit risky, but as the Holy Ward weighed them down, Crimson Raguelmon arched their wings for a more direct approach, skimming closer towards the dragon. As the field of thick shadows appeared around them - practically parting in the presence of Tawna and Mikemon - Gallantmon looked on, holding his footing right in place.
"Something like this... hm?" Another one of Greed's tricks? Seeing the dark-element attack stream forward, the dragon knight countered, his lance crackling heavily with electrical energy. He held the weapon out, a powerful burst given of both light and electricity to try and dispel the attack-
"Tch!" No dice! Mere 'superficial' light wasn't enough to dispel Crimson Raguelmon's full attack, the Shadow Stitching easily able to slip over and overtake his forearm. Rather than try to stretch the damage, Crimson Raguelmon flicked that claw off to the left, forcing the dragon's arm off to his right side. The Gallantmon, naturally, raised his shield to their approach...
... To which the DNA-enhanced Raguelmon tensed her free claw. Head-on!

Darkness... Like it or not, it was their element; Gallantmon underestimating the DNA's power as it was amplified by the raging shadows summoned by the card. A great aid, but Tawna deep inside grew worried that it was putting a target on them too. You don't think this bastard would... attack Haru, would he? they thought as the doctor manned their body... weaving the puppeted limb of Gallantmon and forcing them into a defensive position with that cursed shield blocking any potential assault on the Royal Knight.
Good thing they weren't aiming at him now, were they? If Tawna could gaze at the doctor, she would have more than happily gave them a nod of agreement mentally... swinging their claw directly onto the shield, their nails shimmering like gold. "Greedy Hand." they spoke with that combined voice... their claw striking the shield with tremendous force.
It certainly absorbed the blow like any other attack, vibrating intensely as it clashed with the claw... but something peculiar happened on contact with the equipment. That chrome digizoid shield was a stalwart defense against nearly anything... but as it suddenly began to change alchemically into a gold sheen, that defense was no longer quite so stalwart. No, it wasn't gold chrome digizoid... this was just gold. Normal gold. Not exactly the kind of metal to sustain Super Mega level attacks... evident by a large crack formed halfway through the center.
Haru of course was cheering for this development. "Take that you knight jerk!" she triumphantly yelled, though there was no time to waste... they still all had a fight to win! She slashed another card in her D-Arc, hoping to buy her friends more of an edge... this fight wasn't done yet!
Raguelmon Crimson did not hesitate even a second after the shield's irreversible damage... they feeling the effects of the card as the orbs that ornated their wings flashed red. "Screaming Darkness." they spoke, firing two close lasers of darkness from the orbs directly at Gallantmon to try and capitalize their vulnerable state now. It might have been only a Mega level attack, but it certainly would have still stung thanks to the darkness in the area.
Raguelmon Crimson used Greedy Hand, transforming Gallantmon's shield permanently to gold while causing significant damage to it. Haru scanned MaloMyotismon, Raguelmon Crimson using Screaming Darkness.
DA-15 Card Name: MaloMyotismon Type: Digimon Rank: Platinum Duration: 1 Post Screaming Darkness: The target Digimon fires two beams of dark energy at their foe. Crimson Mist: The target Digimon breathes a red mist at their foe, causing dizziness and disorientation.

During the duration, any shield or armor these claws come into contact with are turned from their base material into a (usually) much softer gold. No guarantee... if she keeps using cards, the knight might at least try and knock her out.
Unlike Tawna's concerned tone, Mikemon's was more focused, not wanting to let any distraction get in the way at this critical juncture. Tawna could tell just by the doctor's intent: so long as they kept their assault directly on the Gallantmon, it wasn't as if he'd be able to put his focus anywhere else. Their claw would slam right against that shield, just as expected.
Right where I want you! The Gallantmon hadn't seen through their plan yet: as the impact occurred, the Gallantmon briefly dropped his lance, dragonfire once more lighting up that claw. This flame was more than enough to burn through the shadow stitching, the Raguelmon gritting her teeth as that hand gripped right around the wrist above the claw, at his shield. Gallantmon wasn't going to take a blow for nothing... but it didn't matter, not to the two inside that corruption beast!
"What in the..." It was too late for him to realize now - his shield quickly took a golden sheen, a fine crack growing right down the middle! Though Tawna focused on the card, Crimson Raguelmon's claw tensed, crushing that shield like a cheap beer can! With the shield destroyed, those two lasers struck heavily at Gallantmon's chest - but the knight wasn't done!
"IMMOLATE!"
Tch! Like it or not, they were still caught in that grip, and their arm would be feeling the pain! I... ignore it! Tawna! Tanaris Omega! This one, he passed off to the one with more experience! Log: Shield of the Just; Justified: Unusable! Holy Ward: Ready! Dragon's Flame: In use. No CD.

A very satifying clang could be heard as their claw impacted with the shield... Mikemon finishing up the job with scrapping that piece of expensive junk. With that thing out of the way, they'd have no trouble landing attacks now! The MaloMyotismon attack was able to land squarely against Gallantmon... It looking to have done finally some significant damage! Their close proximity to Gallantmon was not enough to spare them though from a counter-attack...
They gritted their teeth as the searing flames burned at their flesh... Both Tawna and Mikemon would feel it in unison, that horrid pain that wracked through their body... But they would not yield! Not while their futures and loved ones were on the line! The fallen angel's eyes glimmered as their tail whipped forward... its gray-tip glowing gold as it aimed to stab into the royal knight directly, both cats voices roaring in unison.
We will NOT die! Tawna roared internally... They both had so much at stake here.
Raguelmon Crimson was damaged by the flames, but is attacking with Form Taranis Omega.

"Tch!"
Unfortunately, it wasn't only Mikemon and Tawna that were driven. The Gallantmon, after all, was only mere seconds away from avenging his lineage, and purging that decrepit demon lord from the face of the earth! His shield, and even his own health, were small prices to pay to see this through to the end. As that fire raced across the Raguelmon's body, something broke right through the flame: the monster's stinger, aimed right for his center.
One might have expected him to dodge, or try and slip out of the way - however, the opposite happened. That tail plunged directly into the dragon's chest, straight past the armor, injecting that powerful poison into its system.
This success was met, almost immediately, by a powerful hand gripping around the Raguelmon's tail, pain like a vice shooting straight through their body. The knight, pained, charged a powerful electric burst in his free hand, enough to effectively blind anyone who dared look at the source. "BEGONE, GREED!"
Tawna!
In that moment, the blast would surge forth - a powerful electric blast appearing to surge right through the Raguelmon's center. The dragon looked on, feeling sure of his victory...
... As powerful bindings of shadow lurched around him, from his right side. "What the..."
They hadn't fallen. Heck, the Raguelmon hadn't even taken the hit: Mikemon, standing in his 'mega form', a powerful purple aura surrounding his frame, held a hand out - that dark energy holding him right in place. Tawna - in whatever form she would manage?
She'd be on the knight's left.

Pain. It was one of the most visceral and real feelings a Digimon like Tawna could feel, but it was an important feeling. Without pain, was one truly alive? Tawna felt the drive to keep living, just as much as her DNA partner and their foe. She took no satisfaction from they piercing through the knight... She felt that raw, unbridled hatred brewing in Gallantmon's glare... but she could not cower! Not here, not now! In the face of an incoming attack as her tail was firmly gripped by their opponent, Tawna had thought that she and the doctor were doomed now...
But the blast never came.
Haru's eyes widened in disbelief at what she was witnessing... Did the DNA split...? Mikemon in his Mega level state... and a decadent angel that was far less bestial than Raguelmon, a fierce glare on their face. It took a moment for Haru to recognize that something was awry.
The Rasielmon's armor gleamed with a beautiful shimmer... This wasn't some perverse mockery of light, it was the real deal... and as the ophanim one of the large gauntlets as magical energy gathered in it, she gave Mikemon a single nod before directing her gaze at their bewildered foe to capitalize on the bindings Mikemon had set.
"Knowledge Stream!" Tawna yelled with an intense fervor, unleashing a torrent of light mixed with the power of all elements directly at the knight.
They had their beliefs... and so did they!
Tawna had split to Rasielmon using Transient Form and has used Knowledge Stream.
Knowledge Stream - Gathering and freely mixing energy through magic circles materializing by her claws, Rasielmon unleashes an elemental burst attack composed of all the elements. Had they split?
Hardly. Tawna and Mikemon's thoughts and movements were still linked with each-other, marked pointedly by that purple aura surrounding the two. They were connected by a thin, ethereal tether, but it was enough to through the Gallantmon off for a few crucial moments. His attention, after all, was drawn right to the Mikemon that was keeping him rooted down.
He hadn't even thought to turn around, until the Rasielmon's armor let out such a radiant force. As soon as the Gallantmon turned, the Knight's eyes widening at the sight of that radiant angel, the attack was already upon him. That 'Knowledge Stream' hit, the dragonic knight screaming out in furious pain, the shadow binding forcing him to take the brunt of the entire blast!
A few moments later, that aura gave a 'snap', both DNA halves disappearing in a flash of purple light, the Crimson Raguelmon appearing at the center, a light growl given as they peered into the smoke.
Before them was no longer a knight, but a Guilmon, desperately trying to clamber up to his feet. He was hurt, of course, that Digimon leveling a fierce glare over to his adversary.
"That's it, then?" He growled: "Do it, then! You've taken everything else from me!"
The Raguelmon's claw tensed... inside, Mikemon grit his teeth, forcing himself to hold back.

It was a coordinated movement between the two of them... Despite their forms seemingly separate, Mikemon and Tawna were still linked; an odd clash between a demon lord and an angel but an effective one no less. Mikemon's diversion was enough time for Tawna to in this new form land a solid blow with the beam... The fight reaching its end.
Haru had shielded herself from the shockwave the blast had caused, only dropping her guard when it was done; witnessing the DNA form once more... but all that was left of Gallantmon was a mere Guilmon. This was their foe's Rookie... It was actually kinda bizarre to see; this was the Digimon that almost killed Mikemon just now? Guess even the most frightening or powerful Digimon had their weak, vulnerable sides. Still, even if they tried to kill her friends... she couldn't help but feel sorry for the red reptile, as they clearly were driven into despair. Cautiously, the girl drew closer.
Internally, Tawna growled in frustration... Do we have to spare him? she thought, but at the same time... was it right to kill him? This was self-defense, and even if they've done terrible things in the past... was it really right for one to take their wrath out on them? ... He tried to kill us Mikemon. I don't care if we did those things... That is not who we are now.
It... was a tense moment inside the Raguelmon's mind... Tawna knew that Mikemon seemed to at least be apprehensive to the thought, but Tawna was a pragmatic person. This guy... he would have just kept on trying to kill them given the chance. There would be no solace for them, and she could not risk letting this guy harm anyone else. ... If you won't do it... I'll do it. You've worked so hard with keeping your hands clean... I've only done the same for a few months the feline offered... Mikemon was a good person.
Unlike her.

Do we have to spare him?
Like it or not, Tawna's words echoed and resonated clearly in Mikemon's mind - even those that she chose not to vocalize. If this Gallantmon persisted, this could easily happen again. It wasn't just a risk to himself and Tawna, but to Haru as well. If he got away now, who knew what would happen down the line? This Digimon certainly had both the power and motivation to destroy the two of them on the spot.
... That is not a sin you need to hold alone.
Mikemon's thought resonated heavy in their shared mind, the Raguelmon taking a step closer, grasping forth to snap up the Guilmon in their left claw. Even then, the dragon remained defiant, the eyes of a tense predator peering deep into the super mega.
"Pray your next life is a peaceful one."
At that, the Guilmon's scream would echo out, Raguelmon's claws once more taking their golden color - the scales on his back starting to turn gold from the point of contact. It wasn't immediate - the knight defiant - but it would be only mere seconds before this Guilmon would be turned to nothing more than a gaudy bauble.
