Torahiko just nodded enthusiastically back at the other male, letting him take the kit only for it to be pushed back at him not even seconds later with a request.
"Oh, sure! I don't mind at all, just stand still." He said as he took the medkit and took out the antiseptic and a couple of bandages. "This might sting, but try to bear with it." He said as he got a bit closer to the other boy, a bandage slightly damp with the disinfectant gently sliding over the bruises to clean them.
He was silent through it all, diligent in his task yet attentively listening to the male's tale. His story was fascinating, yet also eerie in its tone. "Oh boy, that must have been really scary; at least the lightning didn't hit you." He said as he dabbed another bruise with the disinfectant. "I'm not sure how that correlates with you turning into one of those Digimon, or rather a Tsukaimon as you put it..." Confident that he cleaned most of the bruises, he took out the band-aids and carefully put them across those marks.
"All done!" He said cheerfully as he stepped back, opening his backpack and putting the first aid kit away. "Don't stress your face too much and perhaps try not to sleep with your face against the pillow and it should be fine!" He wasn't really a doctor per se, but whenever he hurt his face and it began to heal he always remember sleeping with the back of his head against the pillows as even putting his cheek against the rather fluffy surface hurt like a bitch.
"That aside, perhaps the more you turn into that Tsukaimon and experiment in that form you should be able to learn what it can do!" He sounded enthusiastic again as he bounced up and down. "Judging by those ear-wings that you have, perhaps you have the ability to fly! That's awesome!"

Sho winced a bit at the sting of his cleaning, but at least he knew it was getting better. A sigh of relief and a short "Thank you" was all he gave before continuing on with their walk through the forest. The plugged trees and odd grass were a change in scenery at least. Maybe if they found somewhere to stay, this might actually be a nice place to go to. Provided there wasn't anything lethal stalking their every step.
"Well, I can kinda fly. Just not very well I'm afraid...Both times I tried I ended up crashing into a branch." Even the memory of what he spoke of made him cringe just that much more about being Tsukaimon. And, now that he thought about it, that was the most terrifying part. Being a Digimon. Something with an entirely different mindset. The thought of having to step halfway into something else's shoes like that made him shiver.
"Plus, It wasn't just the lightning. Right before it I saw a Tsukaimon, no, the same Tsukaimon, on my shoulder in the reflection of the water. I thought I was going loopy because you usually can't ever see stuff like that in the river. Obvious, but still, it was a shock..." Sho didn't know how to respond to Tora's enthusiasm other than countering with his more conservative glower he looked at the matter.
"I was so tired after that I just thought it was funny how hungry I was. I'm starting to wonder how close to this bat looking thing I am!" Though it made him chuckle, a bit of him felt wounded as it swept past a fleeting thought of the origin of his ability. Perhaps they really were one and the same.
"Anyway, I really wanna know what your first encounter with a Digimon was. I doubt you got tossed into the fire as quickly as I did, but I still gotta know." Sho's grin near the end ironically began to match Tora's infectious enthusiasm. He slowed his steps so that he could hear the whole story, start to finish.

Torahiko had to use all of his willpower to not crack a joke that, indeed it was quite shocking when the Tsukaimon appeared on Sho's shoulder considering the circumstances of said apparation.
Even though the male seemed reserved or slightly apprehensive about assuming his Digimon form, the green-haired young man had enough enthusiasm for the both of them. "I can perhaps help you! Like you don't have to fly really high or around, just a few feet of the ground as we get you used to it might help!"
Before he could speak with the teen about it some more he was asked a question. The young man was silent for a sec as he hummed in thought next. "Well, it wasn't as dangerous as your experience. But anyways, my first experience with a Digimon was on Shibuya 104, I stumbled upon a Tamer and a solitary Digimon in disguise. Anyways the girl found some sort of picture with three Digimon in it, and before we could make sense of it her bag just up and flew away!" As he spoke the young man was making animated gestures as he told the tale to the other boy.
"The culprit was a Digimon with an invisible holosuit, then we ended up finding two other Digimon that lived in Shibuya 104 disguised with Holosuits of their own. In the end, no one was really hurt... except the little guy that pulled that prank on the girl by taking her bag. The scolding he was given was like watching a young boy being reprimanded by their mother."
The male brushed the back of his neck with a small self-deprecating grin. "Heh, at first I thought the photo was people cosplaying as their favorite character from their favorite genre. It was kinda shocking to learn that Digimon and a whole world with them existed but I took it in stride. I was far more excited about it than scared, to be honest."

Something about the swiftness of his retelling made his feet halt in their dirt tracks and consider it in full. He honestly had to blink a couple times before he was able to flubber anything out of his mouth and continue. It was that single word...'Holosuit'. That meant that they could easily hide. It had to be common if even someone like Tora could run into something like it.
"So, wait, how did you know I wasn't a just Digimon whose Holosuit malfunctioned? Is there a tell to such technology?" Sho got a lurching feeling in his stomach when he thought about these worlds bleeding into each other. That or he was just hungry again. He continued to walk, looking at his...his well, Digivice, if he could call it that now. That sensor-like thing at the top was beginning to interest him more and more as he looked at it.
"They're probably everywhere in our world, and if we got here so easily, the converse must be true!" That lurch quickly turned into that exciting feeling he got when he was Tsukaimon. He was beginning to familiarize himself with this feeling, bringing his heart and mind just that much closer together. "I actually just got the craziest thought." Sho quickly stashed his Digivice, beginning to stretch a bit, minding his face of course.
Except the thought wasn't crazy. He just got some blooming urge to run off somewhere. About how ditching Tora and going ahead would just be the best idea...Somewhere along the line, Sho didn't even think it was his own thought. "N-Nevermind. It was just a stupid thing. I was thinking that if I went around as a Digimon whoever we run into might be warmer to us...And I'd get more used to that form." He sighed, fingers tapping against his pocket.
"But, considering what you've seen, I've got a bit of a logic question." Sho turned to Tora, shifting his glasses. "Do you'd think you'd feel it if you found your partner?"

"Well, you have a name of your own; most Digimon don't have the need to choose a name for themselves or so I've been told." Torahiko hummed thoughtfully at that, wondering how would some Digimon of the same species differentiate themselves from one another in such a case before he shrugged the thought away.
"That and the fact that you have a Digivice; as I've been told only Tamers and such get those devices." Which brought him back to his previous thought: Was he a Tamer? If he was then where was his own Digivice?
He watched as the other male thought to himself, seemingly getting quite excited about something before his reserved persona came back to the forefront as he was asked a question that brought him some pause.
"Well, first of all, your idea isn't that crazy sounding in my opinion. Even if the locals aren't warmed up about you, the training and experience you'd get in your Digimon form would make up for it." He waved the topic aside for a moment to focus on what was important. "Regardless... I'm not sure. Maybe? I don't have a Digivice of my own, as far as I can tell. So perhaps once I find 'the one' for me I'll gain the Device and become a Tamer?"
But then that brought another problem altogether. The Digital World seemed huge, and his Digimon partner could just be anywhere in it; the time that it would take to find them among the millions of other Digimon was like looking for a toothpick in a haystack.
"But— I like to think that a Tamer and a Digimon have some sort of connection, you know? That the moment they meet they just seem to click in a way. Like sure I don't expect to get along or become friends with my Digimon in the snap of a finger, but that just means I'll try my hardest to befriend them!"

That feeling he held withing when considering possibilities in the digital world...Sho held onto it while he looked towards Tora and continued to walk. Twisting and turning his digivice in his hand, he remembered the image of the code that encircled it before he made himself turn into Tsukaimon. It was something that was there and able to be manipulated by the device he held. He felt like he was getting closer to truly understanding what he was.
"I was asking because I think I've gotten my own kind of feeling. And, I think it's what allows me to do what I do. But, I barely know how to produce it. The funny thing is that I know I'm feeling it right now and I can still barely explain it..." Sho elaborated, continuing to satisfy his fidgeting fingers upon his device. Some part of that still didn't compute in his mind. You couldn't code a feeling, could you? Especially not one like this.
"I think you can find a digivice once you establish some kind of connection, but I'm just assuming. But while we're getting closer to some kind of civilization, I should at least show you how I use mine." Sho stopped to put his other hand out in front of himself and focus. It was that excitement and will for something, right? For anything? He watched that circle of code slowly form itself. Then, with a slash from the front of his device, he was encircled in code again producing the pig-pat creature he was before with a flap of its wings.
"Ah, that's a breath of fresh air..." Sho stopped its hovering for a bit to rest his wings. "Yikes, my face still hurts a bunch!" he settled on trotting upon the ground. "So it does work like that. This'll be a cinch once we find a place." That cheery and impish voice sounded again, saying Sho's words.

He watched as Sho tried to explain his own side of the spectrum, the green-haired male listening attentively so he could offer some form of insight or response should the opportunity present itself.
"Perhaps you can try and chase after that feeling you get when you think about that other form of yours, have it in your mind and, I don't know, try to bring it to the forefront when you transform? I don't know how you do it, to be honest..." The young man brushed the back of his neck, feeling a bit bad that he couldn't offer a concrete answer that Sho seemed to be seeking to solve his own dilemma.
But then his worries were thrown a hundred miles out the window when he was presented with a demonstration of Sho's transformation. By the end of it, Torahiko was looking at the Tsukaimon with starry eyes and with a slightly gaping mouth. "That... was... awesome!" He threw his hands in the air as he shifted from foot to foot in his excitement.
"But do be careful, I don't know how those bruises are with your new body," Tora said after calming down a little, walking with the Tsukaimon with a normal pace. "Sooo how do you feel?"

The devilish cackle that Tsukaimon lovingly spouted came to Sho so easily, far easier than speech at that moment. At least it hurt his face less as he twirled swiftly in the air. The shackles were off! He could do anything but say how that felt. Even now it felt like such a useless thing to talk about when you could just live in the feeling, fluttering and laughing like a bat out of hell. And yet now, he was able to quell that part of himself for a time while he rose further. All the way until he was at Tora's eyes.
"I feel like I could go anywhere, take anything, do as I please!" Sho sighed as his longing was lost, swishing with every phrase. "I feel like I could go out and start something, only to finish it all the happier." At this point, he was glad the bruises felt better, because he had already leapt onto Tora's head, scrambling to the top as he walked and slowly returning to balance with his fore legs outstretched. "I feel just like I've gone from your ankles to the top of the world...I might as well have, anyway!"
"I feel like a beast!" Sho thought he heard something fluttering in the trees while he was so excited, so hopped off before he got close to losing his balance, letting out a more nervous laugh. "I guess it's just its nature. Our nature, now that I think about it." He began to flutter slightly off the ground as he stepped, still having a tight grip on that wonderful feeling.
"I didn't even think I'd be able to say this right now, but I guess its what the feeling is about..." That impish tone still retained its giddiness while becoming a bit solemn. "It's kinda scary, y'know. Half the stuff I said back there I can't remember coming out of my mouth...And I love it. And I don't think I should...so I fear it."

Torahiko winced a bit as the Tsukaimon began to climb his head like a tree, soon settling himself there like it was his own personal throne to loom over the plebeians down below. He laughed in amusement at the Digimon's exuberant nature in this form, compared to the more reserved and analytical from his human side.
Though at the back of his mind he hoped that his bed-hair style hair was comfy to sit on.
"I mean, you might as well have; considering where you're sitting on!" He said teasingly, looking up as he thought he heard something as well, but the Tsukaimon took his attention once more as he hopped off his head and back to the ground.
"It's probably the freedom of being something more than human?" The green-haired young man mused thoughtfully, looking up as he tapped his chin with a thinking face on. "Or perhaps because you're in an entirely new form, one that is the combination of a Human rational thinking and a Digimon's spirit and instincts that is kinda making it hard for you to get used to at first?"
Still thinking about it, the human almost missed a slight glare at the corner of his eyes. "Hm? What's that?" Walking over a few trees standing in his way, the human saw what looked like a sign of some sorts besides a beaten path. "It's a signpost! Perhaps it has directions we can follow?" The human squinted to read the almost unreadable words in the sign. "Village of Beginnings is that way?" He voiced to himself and his companion, looking at where the sign pointed along the path.

Data having a spirit was certainly nothing he could wrap his head around. But he didn't have to. He could feel it in him right now, keeping him moving and sensing and feeling. "Spirit?" He questioned, letting it run through his brain, but it was always more of an affirmation. That spirit was a part of him right now, as much of himself as he was of it. He began to flutter ahead towards that sign, sitting on it and facing right towards where it led.
"Yeah, that's gotta be it. To the Village of Beginnings it is!" Sho cheered, leaping off of the sign and trying not to go off too far ahead. Tora's propositions came to mind, giving him what could be an explanation for something he really just had to figure out himself. "I dunno really. This is definitely more than being a bunch of ones and zeroes...This bundle of data is me in a different form. That's all." He continued to flutter, appearing as if he was sitting in the air and putting on a pompous little face despite the small bruises.
"It's kind of like a connection. Something that stupid self-help books get written about! The only difference is that I already got it, and I wanna find more." Sho chomped along with his minuscule jaws when he thought of data. That wasn't something he did...did this creature want data? "I mean if this thing can form a connection, what if I find it in others?"
There was something scary about that too; If he was with the spirit of a Digimon, then wouldn't something have to happen to turn it into that? He was starting to get dizzy if he thought about it too much. "All I know is that I'm growing an appetite for this! And the Village of Beginnings has gotta help somehow!"

"Hey, wait up!" Torahiko called out with a small laugh as he trotted over to keep pace with the Tsukaimon, resuming his leisure walk once he was close. "That connection is probably the same as a Tamer with their Digimon Partner."
The young man crossed his arms over his chest and hummed thoughtfully. "As with all connections, they are able to evolve to the next level given time. I think the girl called it Digivolution for you guys?" Torahiko shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know the exact requisites as to how you guys are able to Digivolve, I assume time and experience do that but supposedly Tamers make it easier for partnered Digimon to evolve at a faster rate."

The wings of the Tsukaimon beat at a glider's pace as Sho slowed over Tora's head. It seemed like they were arriving in the large pastel fields of the Village of Beginnings. It made his beady eyes light up with poisonous curiosity as he examined what surrounded them. This was delightfully new, but as a sign beheld, they had yet to enter the actual nursery. This was simply the front of the place. It was something even his Digimon spirit could sense now; This place was alive.
"Humans help Digimon evolve, huh? B-But wait, wouldn't that mean I'd evolve if you were connected to me with a Digivice? That would be so strange!" Sho huffed, the idea being so exceptionally alien that he just couldn't digest it.
"I barely know how any of that works...Isn't there a book on this stuff somewhere? I mean, I don't wanna end up like this forever..." He twiddled his little digits while circling Tora, wondering if any of him actually meant that. This was something he wanted more than anything in the world...even if it consumed him. The thought made the code around him swirl away from Tsukaimon and reveal the boy within, laying him on an unstable walk.
"Woah there...Easy, easy." He nearly fell to his knees when he felt his human legs, sighing with relief once he stood properly. After dusting himself off, he decided to look around himself and think with his brain a bit...That got him up to speed quick! "Um...I have an idea. Ah!" Sho touched his bruises a bit, wondering why it hurt so much more as a human. "Sorry, but, like I was saying, if Digimon respond to humans like that, maybe we can find you a partner here?" He tried to smile as much as he could without hurting himself.
"I mean, at least for a Tamer, this is where you're supposed to start, right?" He reassured, stopping in front of the sign again.

The young man laughed softly at the Tsukaimon's way of thinking. "It would be weird considering you're also human in that aspect, but I don't think it could work. You already have a Digivice that links you to the Spirit of your Digimon, so in a way, it would reject me as your Tamer in that aspect."
The male shrugged his shoulders. "It's all speculation on my end, however, once we get to the Village perhaps there will be someone that can help you understand what you are." He looked from side to side as the Digimon kept walking circles on him, only to blink once the human form of Sho appeared. "You okay?" He was nearby in case the human needed his assistance but ultimately left the male stand on his own, no need to coddle him all the time he thought.
The idea of finding his own partner there brought an excited grin on the young man's face. "That'd be so cool! But I don't know, I believe so? I like to think that it is; since this is also the place where every Digimon is born." Or so he was told in any case.
"Let's go then!"

With a turn at that sign, Sho aimed two fingers towards the direction of the Nursery. It took no time, even if only for him to polish his glasses, to reach those expansive pastel fields of the village. Sho h ad to stand there for a moment and take in all the giant letter blocks and the plains around him being littered with eggs and small creatures that he couldn't even wrap his head around. Watching his step, he began to stroll into the place keeping close to Tora.
"What a curious place..." He remarked as he began to move past the eggs and a small bulbous Digimon that nearly bounced into his ankle. It made him stammer and blink, watching out again before continuing on. "Were you taught anything else about this place? I mean, I can see why this is called the Village of Beginnings, but I don't know where we'd start. We're not exactly Digimon." Sho questioned, looking to Tora for some greater insight into the whole thing...
He began to think about what Tora said about him being bonded to a spirit of one of these Digimon. But Sho could barely parse why such a connection would be made past being at the basest level the same as that Tsukaimon. He scratched his cheek, coming up with all of these all of these questions and having a hard time hiding how bashful she felt about the whole thing. Sho began to kneel towards the ground, looking at all the smaller Digimon around him after adjusting his glasses.
"Well this can't be like picking a pet...but it isn't like making something a part of your soul either. It's somewhere in between and I don't know how to help you find it.,." He got up again, shrugging. "So I guess if it's here you'll be drawn to it."

"I'm not really sure..." Torahiko tried really fucking hard not to become a puddle of warm goo in the face of all these cute little things all around them, especially the little furry ones that looked like large dark motes with eyes. "I remember asking that girl about the Digital World, and I heard her talk about the Village of Beginnings, but besides what I know about it there's not much that I can tell you besides what the name entails."
Seeing Sho kneel down, presumably to rest for a bit made Tora also do the same, but he did something different as he reached out, hand extended forward gently and not leisurely as he took one of those cute little fuzzballs in his palms; bringing it closer to his face for a more thorough inspection.
"D'aw! You're such a cute little thing!" He declared after a beat, earning what he considered to be a smile from the fuzzball-like baby Digimon as its eyes became slightly U-shaped as it bounced with a squeak. "Are you my Partner?" The Baby Digimon only blinked back cutely at the human handling him with such care before it suddenly hopped off and began to bounce away!
"H-hey! Wait up!" The boy followed after the little ball of fur, being careful to not step or flatten the other babies hopping around the place, or crash against some of the cribs containing the Digimon eggs for incubation.
There was something strange though; but not unpleasant. Torahiko didn't really know how to describe it but as he followed the little guy he felt a pull in that same direction; getting stronger and stronger the closer they seemed to get to it.
The young man's expression changing from one of concern to an elated one. Was that perhaps his Digimon Partner calling out to him!?
