"I see....I thought maybe you were....I thought you were like me. Though I suppose this does prove my theory about spirit users and bonded humans in general correct." Cassandra murmured softly some of the hopeful light that had filled her eyes dying in that moment.
"I suppose it's good to hear that you're appearance isn't the result of an accident or on purpose." She spoke her words a touch softer as she takes a step back. The anger is gone from her face now leaving only resignation. "My name is Doctor Cassandra Cross or Cas as most refer to me as." She adds before turning away.
"I'm sorry for interrupting. I should begetting back to cooking." The Woman murmurs voice barely a whisper as she takes the chance to politely flee. The Twin's eyes were likewise soft with sorrow as they watched their Tamer retreat.
"Don't take it personally. She's not really been the same since..." Dagger trailed off recalling the look of horror on the Thief's face as clear as day at the sight of their Tamer's appearance. The pain bright and clear in Cassandra's eyes as she had fled. It'd been the first time anyone had seen her true appearance and the first time Cloak and Dagger had ever witnessed her cry as she hid her tears behind closed doors. "Since before."

"Like you? Hmm... Similarities exist and slowly over time I'm going to get more and more like my spirit that I spend the most time in. So I suppose 'like' you would be probable if not possible."
The man sighed gently and ran a hand through his hair. What was he supposed to say other than that? He wasn't wrong though; it was inevitable that he was going to turn more and more bestial. Eventually he wouldn't be able to leave the digital world in fear of rejection without using a holosuit to just appear normal.
"Aye, I don't think I'd want to have someone force it on me. It took a while to deal with the small changes as they are. It must be rough for you."
Her introduction was met with a soft nod before he of course introduced himself for the second time today.
"Uric Kan, but most people call me Kan."
The man watched her curiously and shook his head; she barely interrupted anything. It was like what? A few minutes of time spent talking rather than chopping? He seemed hesitant to pursue or address the fact he didn't really think that she was interrupting them. She probably needed time interacting with humans spending so much time around digimon no?
The man took a seat on the tree he had been working on; looking down at his hand for a few long moments thinking things over.
"Since before whatever happened to cause her to look like this? I can't blame her, I'd be lying if I said it got easier from here. Hopefully you three can figure something out."
Kan snatched up his axe and set onto the tree again; looking to pull some of the branches off from where they were. With a soft sigh he'd turn his head to look back at them.
"If you're in the neighborhood my shop is in Society hill. Can't miss it."
The man rolled his shoulders and slowly started to carve out the portions of the tree that needed it but not before pausing once or twice to look over himself.
Slowly. Surely. I suppose that's where my road will lead me. I never expected to see someone like that. She wasn't ready for it when it happened probably...
He'd sigh and pull out his digivice once the tree was dealt with; standing up and giving it a broad stroke. The light of digivolution was rather bright; something you'd expect a holy type digimon to have. A few seconds passed and the man was replaced by a bestial man; calm serene and strange gentleness that underlayed everything. Without a word he'd start to stack up the lumber he had cut....

"She pulled through the accident unchanged. It was....it was the first time she was rejected that did it I believe." Dagger murmured softly as he finished prepping the trees. Motioning to his sibling the twins piled and lifted what they could as they watched Kan transform with mild interest. They'd be quick to follow the same path as their Tamer towards the village though they gave her the space the woman likely craved making to attempt to catch up to her just yet despite their worn.
"If we're around the shop we'll be sure to stop by. I'm sure given time Hime will come around. You're presence was a surprise to her. Hopefully in the long run it shan't prove an unpleasant one." Cloak explained shifting the weight of the logs he carried as the group returned to the lumber pile adding their contribution to the rest.
"She's just a bit too stubborn to grieve as she should." Dagger spoke his voice soft and sorrowful.

Kan frowned a little bit when they spoke of the 'accident' and how unchanged she was from it; Perhaps not physically but likely emotionally. He had to wonder what sort of person she would of been if she hadn't been rejected or if she hadn't gone through whatever accident they spoke of What sort of interaction would they of brought?
"Unchanged or not, that doesn't stop humans from moving forward unless they let them be held back."
He was quick to follow after the twins, though he was certainly carrying his own fair share of logs and it was surprising to say the least that he wasn't dropping any considering how many he was carrying in either arm.
"I could tell that much, suppose she doesn't see many people like me I take it? Not like I have. She's a surprise on her own but.. Not an unwelcome one."
He'd set down the lumber near where the twins had, counting over the ones he had managed to fell. The ones that he had felled but were unable to take with him as they had moss and the distinct reminder that he needed to ask someone about that.
"Grieving takes time, just be there for her and I'm sure she'll be fine. Don't be afraid to take things slow. Regardless it was a pleasure to meet the three of you. I need to get the rest of my lumber and I think I can move on to the next area after that."
With a friendly but small wave the spirit user would trot back to where he had been cutting lumber from. Hopeful in his mind that he could get at least two more runs this morning before taking a much needed break...
