Adri and Kouta found themselves woken early from their slumbers by a familiar face. A rounded and huskily bearded face. The sunglasses glinted even as he wore them inside and a mischievous grin appeared across his mouth. “If it isn’t my favorite tamer-buddy-friend. I have another job for you."
“As long as it as nothing to do with cooking. Then, sure,” Kouta said before Adri even had a chance to reply to the question.
“Perfect, perfect. I’ll make this quick. My head is pounding,” the Nanimon added, holding his head with one of his gloved hands. Adri assumed that these newfound problems had something to do with the copious amounts of ‘odd liquid’ the Nanimon seemed to be drinking in and outside of their presence. However, he leaned forward slightly so they were face to face.
“Some of the work being done here isn’t exactly going down well. Well, some of the locals they don’t seem very happy. Your new job is to keep them away from the town and stop them from damaging the town or the work crews. But there is a free meal in it for ya’!”
Adri eyed Nanimon suspiciously, unsure if she believed him after yesterday. “Hey, hey. I’m on the level, this time.” He said jumping back nervously, however, a definite blush seemed to appear on the rounded cheek of the Digimon. “Well, if you’re sure,” Adri said, sighing a little. Kouta piped in again. “If we do this, WE get the free meal?”
Nanimon nodded and for a second a smirk appeared on his face but disappeared instantly. “Ahem, anyway. There should be another one of you-- ” He said, pointing at Adri to indicate a tamer. “–coming along to help out. ”
With all this said, Adri wandered out into the still under construction town, preparing for the new day to begin.
