Shibuya. Early morning.
The first rays of sunlight began creeping through the rather cheap looking curtains of the apartment's window, iluminating the inside of a messy bedroom. Lying on the bed, covered by many a blanket and bedsheets was a man, who upon feeling the light filtering through his eyelids let out a sleepy, if annoyed groan. In a futile attempt at delaying the inevitable, in an almost automated motion he would hide his head under the pillow, trying to protect his eyes from the sunlight and therefore prolong his sleep just a bit longer.
"Just half an hour more..." The man groggily thought to himself. Unfortunately for him, his hopes for a peaceful sleep would soon be shattered by the obnoxious buzzing sound of his phone. Right, he had forgotten about the alarm he had set the night prior. He blindly slammed his hand on the night table, once, twice, three times, trying to get a hold of the infernal device to silence it. No such luck, the buzzing accompanied by the annoying little tune kept on going.
"You win this time..."
Defeated, the young man finally peeked his head from underneath the pillow, the light forcing him to keep his eyes squinted. With a disgruntled sigh he carefully reached for the mobile phone before bringing it closer to his face as he attempted to decipher what was on the screen. With a flick of his thumb across the screen the buzzing was finally silenced, prompting him to sigh a bit in relief.
Now that the silence had returned, perhaps he'd be able to sleep a bit more...that was until he felt it. Something was off about his surroundings. Something felt...different.
Unable to fully understand what exactly he was feeling, he turned his head around, eyes darting across the rather untidy bedroom. At first glance everything seemed normal: clothes were still scattered across the floor, there was a tall figure watching over him, his bass was still neatly hanging from the wall, everything was in order...
Admitedly, it took him a bit to notice what was wrong with his surroundings, but once his half asleep brain had noticed the somewhat humanoid figure on his bedroom, his eyes could not look away from it.
Since he was still half asleep however, he had a hard time actually taking in any details about it, other than it was tall, bright, and most likely not human. However, rather than panicking, the man mostly felt rather...surprised. Sure, having an intruder inside your room was a good reason to worry, but the otherwordly look of the creature surprisingly made the man feel a bit more at ease. After all, something like that couldn't exist, therefore he had to either be dreaming, or having a weird episode of sleep paralysis.
But considering he had moved just fine a mere minute ago, that latter theory seemed more likely. Regardless, before even doing any more movements he simply stood still, looking back at the thing, as if waiting for it to move, to take the first step.
Maybe then he'd have a better reason to panic...
