The metropolis, as grand as it was with its towering structures and futuristic influence, stood for something much simpler than its extravagant aesthetics. To many, Terminus City was a home. It was a place of refuge. A safe harbor in the middle of the roiling tides of life. Neutral grounds where digimon from all walks of life and even humans as well, could coexist to some degree. From Pandora's perspective though all she saw was a monument to hope. And what a fragile thing hope was. The things people would do to preserve that emotional fragility. The prices people would pay! There was a whole economy all of its own propped up around this concept of veiled fear. It was a well that Pandora planned on drinking deep from one day. For tonight at least, she would settle for less than what she felt was owed to her. Through humoring bystanders through tarot readings the tinkermon humored herself with each outcome. Each reading gave her a little insight to a perfect stranger. Someone who might be worth ignoring, worth knowing, worth exploiting. To that end information was its own reward. Her fate was as up in the air as those of her patrons, but every now and then it was nice to just relax as such. The neon lights of advertisement signs flickered brightly around the outdoor courtyard. Many round glass tables flanked by chairs dotted the dining space, hosting various patrons enjoying the evening air. From the center of each table a soft white line shone upwards to provide a comfortable amount of luminescence. At Pandora's table she had her tarot cards fanned out evenly in line with the table's edge. The cards floated face down several inches above the surface leaving only their black and white checkered backs visible. Floating even higher over the center of the table was the tinkermon herself. She appeared to be sitting on the pole of her barbed spear as if it were a tree branch, what with her hands holding onto the lengthy handle of the weapon on both sides of herself. In truth however she was simply holding onto it beneath herself as she hovered effortlessly. Her wings weren't beating, but they didn't need to for sustaining such a passive posture. The small fairy childishly kicked her legs beneath herself as she casually people watched. Every now and then a curious soul would wander near, and her game would begin anew. For the time being though things were slow. So she sung to herself, nodding her head and happily swaying on her 'seat' to an apparently catchy melody only she could hear. "Soul buyer, spittin' fire! Only your touch gonna get me wild! Say I'm not a sinner, but you make me a liar~"
((This is the first of several tarot reading threads I'll be hosting with Pandora. If you would like one feel free to let me know and we can set something up! She's looking to expand on her list of contacts at the moment.))

Katsura was wandering through the city of Terminus again, in her arms she was carrying Nyao the blackgatomon. To this girl Terminus was like a 2nd home which was why she had spent last year living almost exclusively in the digital world. To a large degree it has been difficult to tell her apart from the native, while her red eyes didn't help her case what really prevented her from standing out in a crowd of digimon was her unfazed emotionless face. As she came to a crosswalk near a courtyard, a skullgreymon was standing right next to her. Despite this, Katsura just casually walked over once the light turned green as if nothing strange was going on.
Speaking of lights, this courtyard was plastered with neon signs for countless of weird products. Katsura recognized the ones mentioned the Terminus mall. Katsura realized that this was probably not the direction she was supposed to go. But just before she could turn around a female voice yelled.
"Soul buyer, spittin' fire! Only your touch gonna get me wild! Say I'm not a sinner, but you make me a liar~"
Well, you came this far and a look couldn't harm. Near a desk with tarot cards a Tinkermon was hovering. "Are you a fairy?" Asked the infinitely tactful Katsura the complete stranger, clearly that's how to make new friends.

Her song came to an abrupt end as it was interrupted by a question. An openly curious expression was turned towards the newcomer as Pandora turned on her floating seat as well, straddling the spear like a witch might a broomstick. The tinkermon then leaned forward with a beaming, toothy grin. The shift in her weight tilted her spear down in the front, but she maintained her height in the air.
"I sure am! Wings, magic powder, and all! I'm a tinkermon, but call me Pandora. Nice to meet you both!" She giggled softly as she leaned back, pulling her spear into a flat and level position beneath herself. Her eyes bounced back and forth between her two new guests, taking in their appearances. The blackgatomon was a species she was vaguely familiar with, but the red-eyed girl was harder to place. Crimson was an eye color that was rare for humans, and given Terminus City's diverse population Pandora couldn't tell if the girl was a digimon in disguise with a mere glance. Maybe somebody interesting had been found.
"Would either of you like to play a game with me?" One of her hands gestured with a showman's outward wave to the cards floating in a circle around the table's edge. "I like to read fortunes, but it gets boring just reading my own over, and over. All you'd have to do is pick six cards--and no peeking!" Putting on an eager smile she glanced down at her tarot cards before lightly sweeping her extended arm in the opposite direction, swiping the air in front of herself. This new gesture sent the cards slowly rotating around the table so her would-be playmates wouldn't have to move to pick from the whole selection. Pandora looked back up to the pair with a wink.
"This is all just for fun, of course!"

"Pandora? Do I have to be careful about boxes now?" There really was only one being Katsura could think of with the name "Pandora", knowing that digimon exists and that Nyao turns into a Minervamon it might not be out of the question. "Oh right." Katsura remembered that they were in the middle of introducing each other and she was currently getting off topic by her fixation on Greek mythology. And so Katsura performed a greeting bow while Nyao simultaneously sent a nod.
"I'm Ise Katsura, this is my partner Nyao." With manners out of the way, Katsura could now focus on what this fairy had to offer. Huh, apparently shr wanted to predict their future. And to do so all she had to do was picking 6 cards from the ones floating around her, she didn't even had to move. " This is free, right?" Either way, Katsura picked 6 cards.
OOC: I don't want to jinx it for myself, so let's just go with the old one.

The comment about boxes provoked a sly chuckle from Pandora. Fortunately for everyone, Pandora included, she didn't sell boxes of unspeakable calamities. It would be bad for business, after all. After Katsura introduced herself and her partner, Pandora bowed in return.
"Welcome, both of you! Of course this will be free of charge. It wouldn't be fair of me to charge for something like hope, would it?" Pandora waited patiently for Katsura to pick her cards, smiling playfully all the while. Once six were chosen the tinkermon hopped off of her floating spear and clapped her hands together. The remaining cards pulled in towards the center of the table beneath her, quickly reforming the tarot deck.
"Now then, let's take a peek at your digital destiny, Lady Ise."
Katsura's first card slipped out of her hand to float above the table once more, only this time it was face up. The picture revealed a tall, strongly built looking structure. It was being struck by a lightning bolt however, and flames could be seen reaching out of some of the windows. Blinking curiously at the result, Pandora crouched in the air with her hands resting on her knees.
"Ohhh~ The Tower!" she whispered softly at first before looking back up to Katsura. "Your first draw is a representation of how you perceive yourself in the present. The Tower signifies an extreme and sudden change! Maybe, you wanted a different outcome from something recently? Or perhaps you've had a strong desire to change something longstanding? Either way, change is what you received in the end. And yet.. that outcome might not have been what you wanted, or even thought possible?"
Standing back up Pandora floated a little closer to Katsura.
"Regardless, change was what you were left with, for better or for worse. But you have a strong look in your eyes, Lady Ise. Like the Tower, you may have been struck unexpectedly, but in the end I believe you will still be left standing."

"Not these things again." Katsura muttered silently as she looked away. Something about that description of the tower triggered her. But it seemed like Nyao had anticipated such an circumstance could occur
"Umm Katsura? We're in public." "Oh right I'm sorry, don't mind me. I just remembered... Something... Something not important." Great, now no one would be suspicious about Katsura. All of sudden Katsura looked happy again. She looked at the tower then after a moment the next card was on the way. This time she could recognize it because on the card was something familiar, namely the moon of all things.
"Huh, so I'm a moon child?"
At least that what Katsura thought it meant, of course the real significance of the moon card was something completely different. Eventually Katsura took a look at the other cards as well, one by one the cards were flipped. Whatever could they mean?

The curious reaction Katsura had to the Tower's reveal had Pandora tilting her head slightly. She clearly wanted to ask what was the matter, but at the human's vague explanation the tinkermon simply nodded in acceptance. The girl seemed to brighten up a little, so the fortuneteller moved on. The next card to flip over was the Moon card, depicting a full moon with two dog-like digimon howling beneath it. A stream could be seen at their feet, where a small crustacean-type digimon was crawling out from.
"Your second draw out of the six hints at your current desires," corrected Pandora in a helpful tone, "..in this case, the Moon's usual meaning of illusion or deception isn't what you're seeking, but rather a sense or perspective of clarity to see through that haze. An answer of some kind to a longstanding or recent question? There's an uncertainty that you want dispelled. This could be relevant to your next card, which symbolizes what your current fears might be."
Pandora pointed down to the third card to flip over, the Star. In it a female digimon knelt down at the edge of a body of water, one foot in the water with the other foot on land. She held two jugs and poured one of their contents back into the water, while the other was being emptied onto the land beside her. Above the digimon a bright light shone in the sky.
"The Star card tells me that you might be apprehensive of the future, of potential failure, with self doubt shackling you into indecision or inaction? The Star card is also a sign of reassurance, however." Looking back up to Katsura with a smile. "It's a sign of illuminated realization, that whatever you focus on will grow and multiply. Focus on success or good fortunes, and it can easily be yours."

Katsura listened to to the prediction at some interesting points she had some reactions to what was said. When the fairy hinted that Katsura might be searching for an answer to a question, she spoke absent-mindedly.
"Mom..." It was getting increasingly obvious that this happy go-lucky attitude wasn't real that what Pandora sensed was the more honest especially since she fell back on her cold emotionless face only to catch herself doing so and go happy again. The unstable girl allowed Pandora to carry on and be finished. She stood there for a minute before realizing that now was an appropriate time to respond.
"Umm thanks, so what do I do now? And umm how does this work am I cursed or something?"
"I think she said it wasn't something like that." "Oh right, this is just cards. I do wonder what the 8 of spades do? I think it's cool you set this up all by yourself."

The human gave another intriguing response to one of Pandora's cards. Katsura unconsciously teased at a mystery still important to her: her mother. The girl's response to the Tower card was probably related, figured the fairy. Another clue was offered in the way Katsura's expression shifted with her apparent change in thoughts. All puzzle pieces the tinkermon would hold onto for the time being. In reply to Katsura's inquiry of being cursed or not the hovering fairy giggled and shook her head.
"No, no! Ms. Nyao has it right! I don't do curses, and these are just cards like you said." Tapping at her chin Pandora leaned forward in the air a little, staring up at Katsura with a question of her own. "Thanks! Although, I don't know much about decks with spades in them? I hear that card games from your world get pretty fancy! Maybe you could teach me someday? I'm a quick learner!"
Realization flashed in her eyes as she straightened back up and held up three of her gloved fingers.
"Ah! But first, you still have three cards left, Lady Ise! I wouldn't be a very good card player if I didn't finish my own game. So let's take a peek! Your next card symbolizes what you have working in your favor.” With her spear in hand once more the fairy tapped the next facedown card. It flipped over and floated up to reveal...
“The Empress!" exclaimed Pandora with a rather pleased smile. “A symbol of feminine power, abundance, and love. Spend time nurturing those you hold close, as well as yourself, in body and in spirit. The Empress also signals a period of bounty and joy. So, be sure that you’re taking the time you need to look after yourself as well, Lady Ise. And on the contrary, your next card depicts what might be working against you right now.”
Another tap from her spear landed on another facedown card. When it revealed itself the fairy’s expression faltered momentarily from surprise.
“The World card..” Pandora quickly glanced back to Katsura with a whimsical smile, waving a hand dismissively at the result. “Ah, not to worry Lady Ise! This isn’t to say that the world itself is working against you! Just that at times, it certainly can feel like it. Having the weight of something so monumental weighing down on you, I mean.” She cleared her throat to help regain her composure before continuing.
“It’s a representation of the fear and doubt that can hold you back from success, a shackle that you must break free from. It’s perfectly fine to be afraid of or regretful about something. However, I feel that you are destined for something greater than being tied down by negative feelings.”
With one last facedown card left Pandora gestured towards it with an open hand.
“Your last card is the conclusion to this reading. It could be a hint of the outcome of your destiny, advice on how to get there, or even a warning of the future. Are you ready, Lady Ise, to see this game to the end with me?”
