[N.B This 'rp' is actually a massive solo post involving my two sibling characters. I have combined their hunts to make it easier on myself, but the total rp will consist of enough posts for each character to have access to their xros/spirit. I have split the posts as I would in a single hunt.]
Maki stood outside her brother's house, pressing the doorbell impatiently. When he finally got to the door, he looked shocked. Gobsmacked, to be honest. After all, she hadn't exactly given a warning. Maki grinned up at him, barrelling her way into the flat as she looked around. “So this is where you've been staying, Bro?” she asked, picking up a photo of Haru and a group of guys and scrutinising it for a few seconds. “Kind of pokey, isn't it? That's what you get when you live in a 1dk!” She sat down and kicked off her shoes, shoving the sneakers into the shoe rack.
It really was kind of tiny. There was no way she'd be able to live somewhere like this. She needed space to move and stretch. She padded along the corridor, not bothering to wait for Haru to take off his blades, and peeked through the door at the end to see a small cooker and kitchen set. “Really pokey” she repeated, squeezing her way into the room. Stretching out her arms, she pressed her palms against the opposite counters, balancing precariously as she lifted herself off the floor. She swung for a few seconds then dropped back onto the floor.
“So...is there anything to eat?” she called to the hallway, pulling open some of the cupboard doors. With a grin, she found a packet of chocolate biscuits and took five, quickly shovelling them into her mouth before Haru could notice she'd taken them. Wiping the crumbs away, she padded back out, looking around further. Maki paused as she spotted some white hairs on the ground.
“What's this?” She mumbled curiously, picking it up and flipping it over in her palm. “No way...You have a girlfriend?” she crowed, holding up the hair victoriously. “I knew something was up. You're never this clean at home! So....who is she? Gonna introduce me? Got a picture?” Maki trampled back to the front door, holding the hair like a prize to be admired. “Come on, Haru, you've got to show me!”

Haru blinked as Maki stormed about his flat, scrutinising everything, and smiled. It'd been ages since he'd spoken to his sister properly, even if she'd probably skipped school to visit. He sat down, carefully unscrewing his running prosthetics with deft sharp turns, sliding them off with a sigh. After a long run, his stumps always felt a bit sore. With his thumbs, he massaged the skin carefully, helping blood circulate as he felt the scars under the tips of his fingers. Playfully, he wriggled his legs and then reached for his indoor prosthetics, pushing them on with sharp clicks before hopping to his feet. He rocked back and forth a few times to make sure he was fully clipped in then hopped onto the tatami as Maki rushed at him.
She dangled a long white hair in his face and Haru grinned sheepishly, snatching the hair away. “It's not a girlfriend” he corrected, tossing it into a small waste bin by the kitchen door, “I have a pet. A dog. Named Hope.” Who would normally be out and yapping by now, so she'd probably fallen asleep on his bed again. Haru chuckled to himself and reached out, patting Maki on the head. “So, how goes it little sis?” he asked with a cheery grin, “Want a drink?
He pushed past his sister, heading to the kitchen as he heard a noticeable thump in the other other room and the sound of loud footsteps. “Haru?” a high pitched voice called as the door was nosed open by a squat, chubby white spaniel. “About time you got home” the dog complained, sniffing as she approached, “I'm starving. Did you bring any cake? I will not be amused if there isn't any cak-” She stopped mid-conversation as she spotted Maki standing in the hallway. Hope blinked at her for a few seconds then looked back up at Haru.
“Your girlfriend?” she asked curiously, summoning all her strength and bolting onto the sideboard. “Er...no” Haru replied with a grimace of disgust, “Sister, actually.” Hope shot a curious look at Maki then with a deft hook of her paw, she tugged open the cupboard and reached for the biscuits. Her paw fell on an empty wrapper and crumbs. “Why are the biscuits always gone?” she cried, slamming the door in a flurry of rage, “Haru, I demand sweets. Make your sister go get them.”

Maki gaped at the dog. She could see Haru sBAN ME PLEASEing out of the corner of her eye as the dog kept talking to her, trying to order her around, but she wasn't really taking it in. The dog was talking, for God's sake. It looked like a fluffy, white spaniel with an oversized collar to match its ego and it kept talking to her. “W-w-what the fuck.” she stammered, taking a step back as the dog stomped towards her, wielding the biscuit wrapper angrily.
“It's...it's a talking dog?” Maki repeated, taking the wrapper weakly as the dog held its nose to the sky snootily. “That's...That's so cool!” she grinned, her eyes sparkling as awe replaced shock. Lunging for the creature, she picked it up and looked it over, as if trying to spot a battery socket, ignoring its squirms and shrieks. When she found none, she gently let it down, frowning.“Wait, it's real? Seriously?”
Hope let out a huff, fluffing out her fur with a sniff. “Of course I am real” she complained, “Real and hungry! Haru, make your sister get me food. What use is she otherwise?” Maki's eyes narrowed and Haru deftly slipped between her and Hope with a wry grin. “Yeah, she's very real” he agreed, as Hope padded off down the hallway. “She's not a dog though. She's a digimon...Basically a creature made out of data” Haru explained.
Maki frowned, tilting her head at him as she crossed her arms sceptically. “Data? How does that even work?” she asked, looking up at him, then she shook her head, eyes shining brightly, “Never mind, where can I get one?” Haru frowned, leaning against the counter. “Get one?” he repeated in confusion. Maki rolled her eyes, jabbing her finger at his chest. “Where. Can. I. Get. One?” she repeated, puffing out her cheeks in frustration.
Wincing, Haru pushed her finger away with a frown. “She's not a pet. It's not like I found her in some pet store” Haru retorted, crossing his arms, “She ran into me in the digital world and I just went along with it. It's not like they just ha-”
“The digital world?” Maki interrupted quickly, eyes widenening, “There's a whole place dedicated to these things? Oh my god, you have to take me there, Bro. I want to see!” She grinned delightedly at him then ran to the door, kicking off her indoor slippers as she sat down to pull on her trainers.
Haru bit his lip. This wasn't going to go down well. “I'm not taking you to the digital world. It's dangerous” he began, walking towards the room Hope had vanished to, hoping Maki wouldn't pursue the topic too far.
Maki stared at him open mouthed then slunk to her feet, shoulders shaking as she clenched her fists tight. Anger flooded her grey eyes as her lip curled up in rage.“Are you fucking kidding me? You're not my mums! You have no reason not to take me!” she snapped, stomping towards him, drawing herself to her full height. “I came here all by myself...I can handle going to another world!”
With a sigh, Haru rubbed forehead with his thumb. “It's not the same as taking a train to Tokyo” he pointed out, “It's dangerous in the digital world. There are monsters.” Maki glared at him, letting out a snort of air then looked down at her fingernails, picking at them. “I'll tell our Mums about Hope” she said nonchalantly. Haru froze, shoulders slumping a little. “About how you have an alien dog and you're visiting weird places alone...Bet they'd love that!” She smirked as Haru's face crumpled into anger. “What, Bro, guilty conscience?” she purred, before stomping her feet, “Come on, just one visit. You can put me on a leash and everything.”
Haru's mouth folded to form a flat line of anger as they shot sparks at each other; a silent standoff with metaphorical pistols blasting around them. “Fine” he said bluntly, “We'll go to the digital world. Fine. Don't go crying if you get killed.” Maki sniffed, grinning in triumph as she shoved her hands into her hoodie. “If I'm dead, I won't be able to cry Bruv, so no worries there” she sang, skipping back to the entrance. Dumping herself on the steps, she tied up her laces.
Sinking down next to her, Haru swapped his blades back over. “Hope, we're been ordered to go to the digital world” he called, hearing a shriek of outrage as the pint-sized queen stormed out. “Ordered? By who?” she exclaimed. “Little miss blackmail, my delightful sister” Haru joked darkly, causing Hope to shoot Maki a dark glare. “Fine, well, if you're going to the digital world, I have to come to make sure my general remains safe, as my most important asset” she declared snootily, crawling into Haru's rucksack and wriggling around until she felt comfortable. “But I demand we stop for Oreos on the way!” Haru nodded with a wry grin and they left the flat.

“So...this is the digital world?” Maki hissed in a loud whisper, looking around as a large lizard like creature strolled past her, bag looped over one arm. Around her feet, a load of small, star like creatures scurried past, stopping to yell as they barely missed being squashed by a large plant thing. “It's so weird...” It was like being in a distorted Tokyo, buildings sitting at odd shapes and angles, skies filled with oddly shaped birds and machines. She moved closer to Haru as an angel of all things barged past her, grumbling about lies and slander.
“You get used to it” Haru said cheerily, following Hope as she strolled comfortably down the street, barking orders at the digimon that came too close. “It's like our Tokyo, just the inhabitants are bigger and more dangerous” Maki nodded, smiling brightly as a small baby digimon waved at her, grinning toothily. “Do a lot of humans come here?” she asked, as she spotted a woman riding a pegasus across the street. Haru shrugged, following Hope as she turned down an alley off the main road, “I guess? I've never really spoken to anyone with a digimon...Me and Hope have only been partners for a couple of weeks, so it's all pretty new.”
Maki paused thoughtfully, “So you haven't really explored much?” she asked with a mischievous grin, eying the buildings they were strolling past. A few of them looked fairly unoccupied, tall and silent amidst the hustle and bustle of the afternoon. She broke away from Haru and Hope to peer through the window, eying an old sign declaring the building to be a hospital. “Let's check this place out” she enthused delightedly, “Maybe we can get onto the roof and get a sky view of the city?”
Hope and Haru followed her as she tried the door, frowning when it didn't open. “NO way in” Haru replied quickly, “Let's get back to the main street and-” “Aha!” Maki exclaimed as she spotted another door further down slightly ajar. Testing it, Maki beamed as it wobbled slightly open, lock broken from the hinges. “Looks like someone broke in already!” Maki exclaimed delightedly, “Kindly leaving the door open for us! Well, don't mind if I do!” Haru made a grab for her but she'd slunk inside, peering through the gloom.
“Maki, wait up, don't wander off! You don't know who the burglar is!” Haru exclaimed as he squeezed in after her, jogging to catch up as she strode towards the elevator, trying the button. “This place is so dirty” Hope exclaimed, lifting her paws as dust swum up from the carpet, “It's hardly the place for a Queen. Haru, get your sister under control.” Haru ground his teeth together as the elevator doors shut on him just as he reached them. “Believe me, I am trying” he replied, “Do you have siblings?” A snort from Hope told him all he needed to know. “Then trust me, they're hard to control.”
Hope rolled her eyes, hopping onto his shoulder as they approached the stairs. “I could easily keep her under control if she was my sister!” Hope declared boldly, clinging to Haru's neck as he began the trek upstairs.

Two stories up, a small flamemon awoke with a cough in a room filled with smoke and no memory of how she got there. Blearily, she blinked, trying to force herself awake. It felt important that she woke up. Something she had done. What had she done?
As her senses returned to her, she realised she was lying draped across an oblong object, legs and arms sprawled out and dangling off the edges. She watched a glowing red fan above her spin lazily as black smoke twisted around it and a few pieces of tile fell and smashed somewhere behind her. Konoha blinked again, breathing in the charred scent of burnt wood and the sickly taste of plastic melting. Then she registered the heat and the loud crackling roar that was deafening her to anything else.
With a start, Konoha shot up. She was on a table in the middle of a large office engulfed with fire, flames slowly snaking their way across the room and into the open hallway. A manic smile spread across her face as she watched the flames and she began to giggle, managing to suppress her fire lust with only a quick punch to the face. It hurt and her nose began to bleed, but she wasn't going crazy.
“Don't focus on the flames” she mumbled. She needed to get out. She couldn't be caught at the scene of another fire! It'd be prison! Jail for conspiracy to burn and cause harm to others! Life or maybe even death at the hands of the criminal justice machine! Falling sideways off the desk, she clambered to her feet, stumbling towards the door as she pushed through the flames, a bubbling sense of delight growing inside of her. They were so beautiful. It made her want to start more until there was a glorious inferno dancing around her.
Konoha punched herself in the face again, stumbling into the corridor. She felt her flame lust decreasing as she moved away from the room, down a narrow hallway filled with smoke. Eyes flicking around, she spotted a sign for the stairs and dashed for it, slamming open the door and stumbling out in time to smack into two people on the stair way.
“Oh my gosh” Konoha squealed as she fell backwards, scrabbling to press herself up against the wall. “I swear it wasn't me...It's just a coincidence...I didn't start the fire!” She stared wide eyed at the other two, a human and a salamon pair, as they both got up. “How dare you hurt me! Why, when I'm Queen you will be executed” The salamon began, eyes filled with lightning as she stomped up to Konoha, paw drawn back for a slap.
“Wait” the human interrupted, shoving a hand in front of Hope as he pulled Konoha up, eyes narrowing, “What do you mean, fire?” He let go as he spotted the cloud of smoke lazily snaking its way from the corridor and peered through the door, just in time to see flame breech the office and conquer the hallway. “Fire! Maki!” He exclaimed, turning and stomping up the stairs, metal sticks attached to his legs making loud clacks against the stairway.
Konoha stared after him then at Hope dumbly. "But the exit is that way" she asked, in a confused voice, poking downstairs. Hope slapped her and she raised a paw to her face, feeling the pain of two punches and a slap beginning to very definitely resonate now. "Owww..." she complained. "On your feet" Hope commanded, pushing Konoha up, "Haru's sister is on the roof. We need to make sure she gets out safely. As this is all your fault, you will help." Konoha opened her mouth to protest, only to have it filled with a paw. "You will help" Hope ordered, and Konoha nodded once, scooping up the digimon and dashing after the human.
