Part 1
In the days before she’d had to consult a wealth manager, Talia had always swore the first thing she would do should she ever acquire a fortune was to have a driver take her everywhere since she didn’t like driving and didn’t like driving in the city traffic especially - that had been over 20 years ago. “Meh, they say money changes a person but I swear it only feels like 5 minutes has gone by, I’m still the same old Talia right?” No one was there, it was mostly thinking out loud as she drove down the dark open country road in a sleek blue grey 2040 Mercedes G-class convertible - the model wasn’t due to come out until next year, but she’d managed to get in early on the game after closing a business deal in which Brandt Tech had designed new and improved suspension systems for the company.
And why might one ask was she so far from the city? Well, now that wind farms were becoming all the rage, the blonde was on her way to an investors meeting way out in the middle of nowhere to talk possible business, and while a little too out of the way for her liking, it was definitely worth checking out if it meant the cementing of future funding for her own organization - or so she thought. In fact she was so lost in such thought, the girl, in a very Talia like manner, hardly saw the giant hole in the sky open up until said beings who fell out of the hole near fell on her precious car before she was able to roughly swerve it to the side onto the grass, the deep skidding causing smoke marks everywhere, concealing the two beings who’d caused the accident in the first place.
“The power of thy wyvern truly bests! Ye should give up now, for you may not have a chance to err - WYVERNS BREATH!” It was a deep voice with a grizzly english accent straight out of As You Like It, and by instinct Talia ducked in her car though the attack was not at all aimed at her - through the filament of smoke she could see a light flash that resembled that of a forcefield, which for some reason gave the lady a pinch of nostalgia. It can’t be… “You’re all pomp and no power you you….reptilian MacBeth!”
