It was a smart thing to do.
Out of all the threats that she was aware of; that she had basic understanding of. The D-reaper was the one that posed the most threat, not because of the fact that it was technically everywhere but that it could infect anyone if it came down to it. There weren't any known to be immune and curing someone was something that you could only do at low levels of infection.
The problem was that K only knew of three people that could help with someone that had gotten infected. Wicked, Mikemon [though he didn't specialize in it], and Doctor Cross.
The problem with that was that one of these individuals was currently working with another group. While she didn't doubt that he'd throw himself at the problem it was then in the realm of question would he be able to do anything about it in the same regard as the other two? With wicked for the most part in the Dark area almost exclusively as far as K knew this meant that there was only one real person that she could feasibly rely on.
The one and only Dr. Cassandra Cross.
Once vander tower had been constructed and the land around it uprooted the renamon was given a choice. She could either wait until the worst happened and hope that the Doctor wasn't busy or... well. She could set up something beforehand for individuals that would after all end up having to deal with the D-reaper in some regard or another.
So it behooved her to ask her husband to contact the one and the same doctor in an effort to get her to show up at vander tower. The renamon simply asked for him to get her to come near the floating island. Or rather next to it's floating home outside of rosewood. A simple date, time and reason were all that her message contained. During which the renamon had engulfed herself in work of one or the other.
Where did the coordinates lead anyways?
To a simple cabin; one story with a pair of windows. Simply furnished for the comfort of the meeting and a cooler for food if the doctor chose to bring anything. It's wooden exterior and simple interior yielded the fact that this cabin was constructed not in haste but in thought that it would not be used again.
The time that she had asked for the Doctor to meet her? Midnight. The day of the month that she asked for the Doctor to meet her? The appearance of the True Full moon. The pair of coordinates that were attached would make finding the cabin a breeze for someone such as her. So when it got to roughly around eleven or so the Renamon flew out of vander tower; down to the cabin in question with enough food in a cooler for a handful of people. As she knew that the Doctor had twin digimon but was unaware if she had any additional allies she might bring for safety purposes.
Sitting quietly and calmly was a thing that she could easily do; so she found herself simply passing the time by reading a human book she had picked up in terminus not a week before. She hadn't bothered reading the book as she was busy but now? She had a little time to kill before her guest showed up.
"I'm not sure why it's titled like this... This is more a story about struggle than to kill a mockingbird..."

The woods outside the cabin were dark and empty or they would appear to be so at first glance as K looked up from her book. A second glance however would prove otherwise. For there at the edge of the clearing sat astride a great demonic bike, Behemoth's engine rumbling with a soft barely there growl beneath her, was the familiar figure Cassandra Cross. Her white Doctors coat standing out starkly against the machines black chassis and her own black clothing and helmet making her appear almost ethereal. Pulling said helmet from her head the woman eyed the cabin with muted consideration in her flat blue eyes as she slid the protective headgear into her bag and moved to dismount.
Though despite it's rider leaving their seat the bike was quick to follow in the Doctor's footsteps. Rumbling along behind her like a prowling predator right up the very door as the woman rapped her knuckles lightly on the wood.

Checking every so often from her book K was less surprised to see that the time of the meeting was rolling closer and closer without the doctor. She had to admit she wasn't sure how punctual they were. But the thing being that is if the doctor decided to come and meet with her at all she would find K here regardless of how off it'd be. She didn't have any plans for the next few days just in case.
Blinking after a moment or two the Fox looked up from her book one final time. Surprise crossing her features as she saw someone sitting at the clearing upon a Behemoth of all thing. Not many individuals could claim one of these bikes as their own as they often more than not chose their riders rather than the other way around. Calmly putting the book away in her infini-store before getting up from her seat.
The rapping at the door only hurried the idea that this was the individual that she had asked to meet with. She'd quickly; calmly and curtly open the door. A small somewhat pleased smile spreading on her lips as she was greeted with the site of the woman and her bike. Though after a brief second her eyes flicked around to see if there was anyone else before addressing the Doctor.
"Good to see you again Doctor. I'm glad you could make it."
The renamon would of course pull back and gesture to the simple inside of the cabin. An invintation as simple as one could get in these times. With any luck the renamon hoped that these t alks would go well and if not.. well she also hoped that the Doctor wouldn't think any less of her for taking precautions like this.
"I wasn't sure if you wanted to get right into the nitty gritty of things so I had some food made. Travel safely I hope?"

The Woman did not cross the threshold of the door though she favored K with a barely there smile, the closest thing to a warm expression she could manage these days in her recovery as Behemoth nudged the nose of it's chassis into the small of her back. Not quite urging the Doctor forward, but as if the Bike felt the need for the contact like a dog leaning into it's mistresses leg for mutual comfort.
She was reluctant to leave him. Though societal rules of conduct decreed that bikes did not go in houses. Cassandra however decided that whoever had designed such rules did not take into account sentient demonic bikes and could go and fuck themselves sideways. So instead she favored the Renamon with a polite nod and a murmur of "Thank you for your hospitality." And strode inside, once K moved out of the way, bike and all with an all too please Behemoth rumbling at her heels.
"There are thankfully very few things that can catch Behemoth, but our journey was quiet." The Doctor murmured her voice flat as though she spoke of the weather rather then her trip as she settled down in one of the chairs the bike rolling up to her side and shoving it's 'head' in her lap where the Doctor rested her hands lightly on the red glowing front of the back. Patting it gently as one might a beloved pet.
"I'm afraid I do not have much of a appetite these days. If you would not mind I would prefer to get down to business." Cassandra spoke words crisp and polite as she offered K another of her barely there smiles. She, after all, did not want to explain that anything more then sports drinks and saltine crackers left her emptying her stomach and coughing up blood.

The barest of smiles was given to her in response to her greeting; if K had to be honest that worried her slightly. She knew the tired sensations of life that could drag on and on. Had she the time she would of liked to know what troubled the other what could be done to help. Frustrations in this world ran higher and higher as time passed after all. The sweetest sensations often more than not bit back twice as hard in this place. But out of respect she halted any question for that; halted that train of thought as it had very little place in what she was going to hopefully talk about.
"Of course, that's good to hear hopefully that trend continues."
The renamon didn't argue with the fact that the Doctor brought her transportation in with her. She had nothing to argue with the bike being inside; it would be better in the off chance that they were caught unaware by something. The doctor could flee and she could deal with whatever threat appropriately. A small comfort to be sure.
Checking outside once more before closing the door with a satisfying sound the renamon would sigh softly and head to her side of the table they would be speaking across. It was something she knew that humans enjoyed; having space and time to consider as well as the general safety a bit of distance gave.
"I understand. I'll be as straight to the point as I can be."
The renamon placed her hands on the table and gestured softly at the doctor before speaking. Slowly; thoughtfully as she had a lot of time to think about this with all the work she had been doing.
"The group that I have started up is dedicated to fighting against large scale threats that present themselves to the Digital world. These spires, the elemental orbs and the D-reapers."
The renamon would srub her muzzle after a few long moments still keeping those eyes planted firmly on the doctor.
"From my limited understanding of the D-reaper, they infect individuals. Control them and force them to do what they want. From that there are only three individuals that I know that could deal with it. My Husband Dr. Mikemon, Wicked the Witchmon, and yourself. However as the former most is more geared towards core workings than treatments of an infection like that I'm more inclined to try to work with wicked or yourself. But with wicked being in the dark area almost exclusively to my knowledge that leaves just one option to turn to. You're not the last choice I'd make I want to make that clear. You're the first."
The renamon drummed her fingers on the table and let out a long sigh.
"I plan on training my Knights the best I can, to fight against these threats as they come but even with everything no amount of preparation can compare to when the threats are physically in front of them. Were they to get infected I cannot let them stay that way; so I wanted to ask you long before that ever becomes a problem. Will you help them, or if the worst comes to fruition Myself? If there's a price of some kind, or something you wish of us at that point we'll strive to do either or both if that's what you wish. I'm unable to help them with my limited experience as a medic but that's why I asked you to come here."
There was a long distinct pause and the renamon seemed unsure of what to really add past that. She knew that humans were creatures of habit and such but... she didn't know the Doctor well enough to even hold the two close together. Some humans defied all explanation and all senses of what it meant to be. She had met individuals that made her question everything. But to the woman in front of her? She hoped at the very least that wouldn't be a huge problem. Even if it was? She would deal with it.
"At the very least, I know I can offer safety in some regard here but not everyone is a fan of heights."

Cassandra considered the Renamon's words with a flat, but attentive stare one hand resting lightly on Behemoth's nose where it was all, but shove into her lap. Her other hand moving to absent-mindedly drum her fingers across the tables wooden surface in thought before the movement made her pause as a lance of pain shot through her hands. Forcing the Doctor to quickly still her movements recalling her momentarily forgotten injuries that had faded from her mind as her thoughts whirled at K's offer.
She wasn't certain how much Mikemon had told his dear wife. Not enough, she reasoned, if the Renamon was willing to make deals with the devil herself. Cas was however, if nothing else, a survivor and an opportunist. She had not lived this long without being such and thus pinning K beneath her stare the woman inclined her head in acknowledgement waiting till the Lord Knight Marshal had finished her speech before speaking.
"I am inclined to ally with you. My knowledge of the D-reaper is expansive and growing. I am willing to not only offer your group medical attention and treat your Knights of D-virus infection, but give them a course in first aid dealing with said infections and the best methods to fight and damage the D-reaper with minimal casualties. I will likewise offer your Knights first access to any of my latest stable medical advances and my presence on select high priority missions." The Doctor spoke figuratively laying what she had to offer on the table.
"In exchange I have a few requests. Namely that my involvement as a private medical contract for your organization be kept secret, that should Luminas come looking to pry you do all you can to smokescreen my presence, and that Team Metal Drive, myself, and my associates have immunity in regards to the Knights of the Rose. Those three are non-negotiable." Cassandra explained her tone firm, unwavering, but respectful of K as her equal in this. Though she made it clear that if her first requests could not be met that any further bartering would merely be a waste of their time.
"In addition I would like first access to any information, subject, scientific samples or research the Knights of the Rose might come across especially that involving the D-reaper, Luminas, or that which would fall into my purview as a Doctor. Seeing as well informed is well-armed when it comes to new drugs and diseases that the Digital world might face. I will need access to your medical bay and will request the Knights of the Rose cover the material cost of the medicines and items I may need to treat your people as I cannot afford to outfit two teams." The Doctor added falling silent for the moment as she wracked her mind trying to think of any other matters they might need to discuss.
"I will also offer to pass along warning of any threats I might discover that would be of interest to your Team so long as doing so does not jeopordize myself or those under my care." Cassandra added, feeling such sweetened the deal rather nicely in her opinion.

K watched the two for a small bit that followed her explanation of things and the wants she had from the Doctor. Her ears flicked and swiveled a bit upon hearing the drumming. There was a lot to process of course but she figured with what she knew the doctor would likely figure something out or turn her down.
God she hoped that she wouldn't do that.
Even if Mikemon had told her everything; down to the last bit of scraps wouldn't of changed what K would of done. There were tons of risks in play with it but the thing with that she would of been willing because the pro's vastly outweighed the cons in her eyes. Finding herself the center of the stare the renamon couldn't help but feel a shiver run the length of her spine. Never had she really received such a stare; much less from a human. There was an intensity that she couldn't explain but it also made her question herself for an instant.
However this was squashed as the Doctor started talking. Their knowledge was already expansive on the subject and was still growing? The renamon put her hand to her muzzle rubbing it curiously. Offering that she would not only give them medical attention, treat her knights but also give them first aid when dealing with those times where infection was a problem? K would shift slightly in her chair as the doctor continued on. The renamon brightened a little bit and simply nodded in regard to these offers. She appreciated the extent that the doctor was willing to go with the Renamon even after just one prolonged interaction.
"I appreciate the lengths you are willing to go with me so far. In regards to the private medical contract kept secret? Of course That would be easy. If luminas comes prying for you I wouldn't even normally give them the time of day. You and your group will have immunity. I'll make sure to talk to my knights about it; at least the smallest circle possible or those that I can trust. Which I will give you a list of those individuals once my group has smoothed out a bit."
The renamon dipped her head in acknowledgement to the requirements that Cassandra had put forward. She had no reason to really shift those sort of wants from their 'contract' with one another. Safety was a big thing here of course.
"All of that seems reasonable to me. We will provide you with what we know or find when it comes to those three things and more if we find that it would concern you or your team in some regard or another. As for the medical bay and material costs? I wouldn't ask you to risk your own lab and use your own materials for others with how financing a team works. I'll make sure to have things set aside suitably for you before arriving."
The renamon paused and looked on in surprise as the doctor went even further than she was expecting even offering to give her warnings of threats. Mulling it over for a moment the renamon snorted and looked up at the doctor with a small smile.
"I would appreciate that. In return I can promise that at the very least I'll be able to provide some service for something like that. A single letter and a general coordinate would suffice; if you can't get into the nitty gritty of explaining. Humans have an extensive alphabet yes? The further the letter is in it, the more dangerous the threat. Might be simple but simplicity has it's perks."
The renamon paused after a few moments and considered asking a very loaded question. Finding herself shifting she'd turn and lean to look out of the window. As of yet she hadn't been able to Speak to Oathgard as he hadn't shown up or messaged her; he must of been busy with something else. Thoughtfully she'd stroke her muzzle and stare back at the doctor.
"I cannot blame you for wanting information about Luminas; May I ask for what reason? If you're not comfortable sharing or simply do not wish to share I won't pry."
The renamon wanted to warn the human that she was being spied upon; that she had a luminas individual working under her to spy on her and her knights. To have the ability to get inside of her knights from the get go and from there likely try to reach to the core of the knights in case of something happening. There was a long pause and the renamon stared at the human once more.
"I have one thing that I would like information about and if you were able to procure anything important in regards to this I would be in your debt further than you can possibly know."
There was a distinct pause and the renamon drew out a small figure in the air, keeping the energy barely linked to her so that the human could see them clearly even in the knight. Every excruciating detail of that wretched wisemon that she could remember. Down to even the symbology of his cloak.
"There is a wisemon that is such a massive threat to the digital world that everything that I talked about earlier seems to pale in comparison to him. He's the individual that's responsible for my mind control and I don't know how he's connected to the D-reaper incidents yet but he had such a healthy want to destroy files up in luminas about what happened up north that they have to be connected somehow. Further still I need to check, but I'm certain that multiple governments are aware of this individual."
The renamon sat there staring at this projection and after a suitable timeframe she'd sigh and wipe the image away scattering her energy to the winds as it were.
"Tell me if there's anything else you may want of me, require of my knights or such. Promises made early for later might be foolish to some but it's saved my life before."

The Doctor paused fingers lightly trailing over Behemoth's front chassis in thought the low almost purr like rumbling coming from the machine soothing to her exhausted and frayed nerves. Why did she want information on Luminas? The reasons were so many and varied...
"I imagine my reasons for wanting information on Luminas are much the same as why you want information on that Wisemon. You know he is a threat to yourself and your family and you have no intentions of waiting for him to strike. Sooner or later Luminas will, if I am lucky, try to kill me. If I am unlucky my fate will be one worse then death. I know too much, am capable of too much, to remain outside their clutches. Sooner or later the city of light will seek to snuff me out..." The Doctor explained her voice a soft low rasp.
"And K," Cassandra spoke eyes glinting crimson in that low moonlight as she held the Digimon's gaze, "I have no intentions of going quietly into that good night."

The renamon clasped her hands softly in front of her staring quietly at the doctor as they seemed to consider all that she said. There had been a lot poured onto her but at the moment of it they seemed to focus more on the luminas aspect of things than anything else. She'd close her eyes softly and nod slowly. So Luminas was a threat to her? Which would make the next part of everything very difficult. Getting the information that the renamon had a Luminas mole and that she was being watched by Luminas because of several reasons.
"I understand completely, if I can I will send you information pertaining to them. Subtly of course. I have a particular individual working under me that would be able to pass you information without risking either of our hides. Hard to follow something that you cannot sense."
K shifted further and let out a small sigh. She understood where the doctor was coming from here and how best to go about further interactions with them albeit carefully. Giving the Doctor a small smile she'd dip her head in a firm nod.
"I understand. And hopefully you won't have to."
There were a few long moments before the digimon tapped her fingers on the table staring quietly at the woman sitting in front of her. What was the best way of going about this... She'd flick an ear and then rub her muzzle thoughtfully.
"There is a grove outside of whitewater that I spent much time meditating on a nearly dead stump. The stump itself is now again a fully fledged tree and the grove itself is full of life. Tommorow I will be sending my representative there with a message for you. Wether you go yourself or have your own representative go doesn't matter. But it'll have information pertaining to luminas in it and I'd rather if we exchange information like it that there isn't much of a paper trail or tamernet trail."

"I would prefer that as well. The less...connections between us. The better." The Doctor murmured stretching slightly as she nudged Behemoth partially out of her lap the Bike giving way with a low grumbling rumble. "I won't be able to attend to it personally, but I will have my own representative meet yours there. They'll be recognized by the code phrase MS-06 and if their response isn't Zaku II then you will know it's a spy." Cas informed K thinking on the best phrase for Zaku given the Monitamon's sometimes flighty nature.
"I look forward to working with your Knights K. I hope...well I hope to see them do some much needed good for the Digital World." The Woman murmured as she rose to her feet offering the Renamon a hand.
"I take it we are in agreement then?" She questioned with a tilt of her head sharp off-blue eyes pinning K beneath a considerate gaze.

"Then that's agreed."
The renamon shifted a little bit and scratched her head quietly. She'd stare at the doctor as they spoke and shifted that bike just a touch. K would consider the code phrase and then simply would nod.
"Even better. I'll let him know."
Those were some simple code phrases to adhere to; and given the response that they could give from that.. Well. She doubted that anyone was listening to the conversation they were having or would even know what time the two representatives were going to meet. Joseph himself would simply stay around the grove and wait until their representative showed up.
"I look forward to working with you Doctor, I honestly hope the same. It's a right mess out there."
The renamon would stand and take the hand giving it a firm shake. She was aware of human social norms and such. The renamon once again dipped her head in a nod.
"We are. Not much for me to disagree about."
The renamon let out a smooth chuckle and returned that gaze; albeit a touch more curious than anything. It seemed like the renamon wanted to say something but ultimately she couldn't risk sharing that paltry bit of information.
"Take care Doctor; stay safe out there."
The extra part that K didn't say simply echoed through her head for a moment before passing off into the busy mind that she had. There was a lot to do now that this was getting into shape.
As safe as one could be in these times...
