Rosewood.
A place that she had little actual connection to but if she had to be honest she was glad had started up. It meant a lot to her that people were trying to start up a town here in the same area of her old home. Where her inn had rested it's weary head for almost a millennia.
She was happy beyond belief that she could sit in such a place even if it was in its infancy. A place that she could help grow if she so desired. Which if you asked her; she would do so without a second thought. But the question to herself was how?
There were many things that needed to be addressed and that list grew every day. She mulled over the job postings that she had come across that they needed of. There was a wide variety of things that she could do and even if she didn't trust herself with some of them well. She had to admit to herself that she would give them a go regardless of if she could succeed or not.
It would tell her what needed work and what didn't after all. She couldn't just resort to violence for everything as had been the crisp in her step for some time. She didn't like regressing into it but it was certainly something that gave her constant results.
Her eyes scanned briefly over the fact that there had been enough jobs completed to move forward in a phase. She'd scrunch her eyebrows trying to figure out just how far they had to go. Her single digit running down along the list and resting on three of them. Something about supply and trade, something to do with Emergencies or... well Law and Justice. Things that they could do easily. Her eyes rested quietly on the last one; which would give her a small taste of what her inn had been like but...
She'd crumple up the paper and deposit it in a waste-bin near her. She didn't need that; what she needed was to progress and not regress. Clapping her hands on her cheeks the shutmon looked around. It was late in the night so not many were out and about. Something that would get addressed as the city grew.
Flipping her hood over her head the shutmon would lean back and look to the sky through her goggles. Something she had been told that it would rain tonight but so far? Not a cloud in sight. But that was likely soon to change as sure as the half moon was in the sky...

So, this was Rosewood? It was smaller than Asher had expected!
Then again, he hadn't actually expected anything. This trip wasn't for him! "So, is there actually a reason we came here?" The teen inquired to the orange feline that was bouncing alongside him, with a rapidly melting ice cream cone clasped between her paws.
Why didn't she ever digivolve or use a holosuit that gave her fingers? "I have a furiend that was mentioning this place! I wanted to visit her!" Whiskers answered, before licking some of the ice cream that threatened to touch her paws. "We used to work togethfur."
So, was Whiskers really just trying to find an old coworker? Weird. Asher didn't know many humans that sought out people that once worked with them! But, whatever worked for the cat, he guessed. "Isn't it a little late to visit friends, anyway?" A hypocritical question, considering Asher was more than willing to leave the house in the middle of the night!
"She's purretty nocturnal. I'm sure she'll be awake," the feline state, while looking around. The Meicoomon had to admit, though, that she wasn't entirely sure where to start looking! It was likely that, after finding a distraction for her human, she'd wander off on her own to hunt her friend down. It was easier without a million questions, anyway!
Which, a distraction would likely pop up any second now! Just like that job board, over there!
Or...
What started as a faint tingling in the back of the teen's mind seemed to be intensifying as he started toward the list of jobs. "Do you feel weird?"
"Nya?"
That was probably a no. But, it was also followed with Whiskers making sure that the distance between herself and her human had diminished to the point that he was almost stepping on her toes! Perhaps, that had concerned the feline enough to want to make sure nothing was going to happen to her person!
At least her concern would (probably) subside once the internal whispers drew his attention to someone looking at the sky. While not a form entirely familiar to him, the fur and cape were almost as much of a giveaway as the reaction his spirits had whenever in the presence of this entity. Maybe, his assumption was bold. It could always be someone else. There were plenty of creatures that shared almost identical features in this world. But, it was worth the risk. After all, this being seemed to be one-of-a-kind.
"Long time no see, K."

It had been something that she loved seeing.
Even with the the fact it was only half of a moon it was precious to her. Something that she wished she could see more often. But more often than not she was in the position that her days would be full and she would succumb to fatigue far too early for the moon to be even properly in the sky.
Even back when she was living peacefully and back when she had a simpler life. Nothing as grandiose as what she was trying to do and certainly nothing as dangerous if she was being obvious. Thoughtfully she'd drum her hand on her leg; thoughts trailing and in her 'stupor' she found her nose kicking into high gear.
It found something that it recognized which caused her to sneeze once or twice. Putting a hand on her snout she'd rub her nose and look around blinking owlishly. She was greeted with the site of a particular red headed individual accompanied by a meicoomon. She'd blink maybe three or four times before looking back up at the sky wondering to herself that if this was just fate rubbing her nose in the dirt again.
Every time they had met so far; Asher had been pretty stable in comparison to herself. But perhaps that's just how humans felt to her? Rubbing her snout still she'd flick her ears and look back down at the human when he greeted her. Smiling widely she'd lean forward and tilt her head just enough to where she could see him without the goggles throwing off the shade of the world just by a little.
"Good to see you Asher, it's been... almost half a year now? At least in human terms. Even longer in digital if you think about it. Have you been well?"
That smile broadened a bit and she wondered silently to herself what he was doing here. Thinking it over for a second he'd briefly give the Meicoomon a small wave. She had no ill will towards this particular type of digimon and it showed. She actually quite liked the meicoo's as she was friends with a few of them.
"Anything new? Who's your friend?"

The sneezing almost made the redhead start to laugh. There wasn't much reason to chuckle about someone's allergies. If Digimon could even have allergies, that was! It might be less funny, if Asher considered that the allergy was him! Luckily, it didn't seem to be a persistent thing.
Though, had it already been half of a year? The teen's eyes widened at the realization. Between jumping through two different 'timezones', of Digital and Human, time seemed to get a bit muddled! Maybe, one day, Asher would decide to commit to just one world. Though that was highly unlikely. This sort of confusion did, at the very least, give him a little entertainment that not everyone could share.
"Pretty well!" Considering he was still alive, and the rabbit within his mind hadn't fully consumed him? Yeah. He'd say he was doing spectacular. Now, in comparison to someone who didn't share headspace with somewhat violent creatures? Maybe a bit less. "How about you?
Slowly, Whiskers would lean further out from Asher's legs, finally giving him a little room. She'd soon lift up a paw -- tiny in comparison to the Shutmon's surely -- and return the wave. For a mercenary, perhaps she'd seem a bit timid. But, it was all for good reason, considering Shutmons were fairly similar to canines, and cats and dogs did not always mesh well.
"This is Whiskers," the redhead chose to address first. After all, the Meicoomon needed an introduction! "She gave my digivice to me." A subject that was still unclear to Asher, really. For some reason, Whiskers had always been fairly tight-lipped when it came to the reason that she had kept his D-Tector safe for him. Likely, Asher would never find out why the cat had 'decided' to help him.
"Hello," the cat piped up, blinking her bright green eyes a few times. And, here she had thought they were going to find one of her friends! Instead, she was meeting one of Asher's! One that seemed very surprising to just be meeting now, at that. What was her human up to, when she wasn't with him?
As far as anything new? Yellow eyes glanced at the night sky, debating for a second. When asked, everything felt relatively normal for once. Surely, he would remember things to prove that otherwise, later on. "Not much. I think it's been pretty calm for once," he hummed, giving a small smile. Notably less issues with Antylamon thus far, it seemed. But, maybe he was just getting used to her frustrating responses to everything he did. "Anything new on your end?" It had been a while, after all. And K did seem like the type that always had a lot of things happening. Such as dying. Hopefully, a second death hadn't occurred since their last meeting, however. Surely, there would be much more interesting -- and better -- news this time.

The shutmon rubbed her muzzle thoughtfully as she considered the fact that they hadn't met for quite some time. A lot could happen in half a year; a lot that could be crested with the fact that it indeed did happen. There was so much in that span of time that the Shutmon wasn't sure where to start in considering how to run things through with the human. Him answering her in the fashion that she expected only made her sigh just a little bit. Was he lying to make her not worry like last time? Or perhaps he was actually doing well. "I do hope that is the case. I'm... doing much better than I was. Not under control of a wisemon and on my own path again."The shutmon chuckled a bit and then leaned a little bit to look at the individual that was currently hiding behind asher. Her name was whiskers? And she was a meicoomon? Giving a small smile she'd consider something of course. She likely made the other feel uncomfortable in a fashion or another considering the difference between canines and cats. Figuring that it'd do her well to hold that form more often the shutmon held up a finger for a moment. Her form taking on that gentle light again. Which replaced her sitting form with one of pretty much simular height. Though instead of a shutmon sat a meicrackmon of all things. Though her cape was purple and crested by her fur instead of having a hood. Shifting the hackmon goggles on her forehead she'd give a friendly smile to the meicoomon before addressing her and asher again. "A pleasure to meet you Whiskers, I'm K. One of Asher's friends. It's good that it's been calm for you; hopefully it can stay that way."The meicrackmon let out a soft sigh and stretched; cracking some of her joints as sometimes evolving while sitting could make you stiff. She'd eye the human as he asked her what was new on her end. She'd consider it briefly and figure that she might as well be honest. There was no real reason for her to lie after all! "Lets see... Since we last met I've... done a lot. Been very busy helping out where I can, doing what I can. I got married, had kids, got mind-controlled by a wisemon, during which I attacked my friends and family for some goal I'm not fully aware of... Then as of most recent? I spent a good load of bits getting a base built for the Knight group I'm trying to start to help protect the digital world from large scale threats. If you didn't know about them before I could tell you about them if you want but if not that's fine."

Asher couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the comment about Wisemon. It seemed that they had a lot of catching up to do! Had K mentioned Wisemon last time they met? The redhead couldn't be entirely sure, but he felt like it would be something he would remember! Plus, what was this about mind control? What sort of things had she been up to while trapped under someone else's control?
It felt like a lot of unfortunate things happened to K. Either way, she was still thriving. "That's good. But, I have to ask. How did someone mind control you?" Was it really that easy? Was K really that easy to control? That seemed hard to believe. Perhaps, Wisemon was just more strong, ultimately. Who knew. Except, maybe K.
Whiskers hadn't really been paying much mind to the conversation, though. Either that, or she didn't find mind control as surprising as a subject as a human would. True to K's suspicion, the Meicoomon's only thought in regards to this entire meeting was that she was a dog-like Digimon. Which, soon, was fixed! Orange ears flicked upwards, drooped, and proceeded to alternate between varying displays of alert and flat-out confused! It certainly wasn't the color scheme of a regular Mei-volution, but it was still a cat! "You're a cat, too?" Why this was so surprising to someone who was well aware that felines could go as far as to become angels or dragons was a wonder, really! Maybe it was just such a stark contrast that was throwing the feline for a loop! Either way, the fact that Whiskers had shuffled away from Asher a little further would prove that K had stopped worrying her about being eaten. By a dog, at least. K could probably still easily consume the Meicoomon if she really wanted to. But why would a fellow cat do that? "Nice to meet mew, too," she added, to avoid being rude.
Whiskers wasn't the only one surprised by the change in K's form, though! "Have you always turned into a cat?" Asher was quick to ask, raising an eyebrow. Digimon certainly had interesting forms! But, he didn't think that K had ever shown off this one before!
Though, he was definitely hoping things would remain calm for a while.
Granted, K's life sounded eventful as ever! And, wait, what was that about married and kids? Asher hadn't even given marriage a single thought, and here K was, with children already! How did children work with Digimon, anyway? What, with the reincarnation and...
You know. Asher was pretty sure he wanted to continue having a childlike innocence about this subject. Maybe it was best not to think too much on it.
"Since we last met up, I've had one date. And in that time, you've gotten married and had kids," the teen mused, with a half-grin, "how do you do it?" Of course, this was just some teasing, but it was crazy to think about how much happened in between their reunions! That, and he'd rather pick at that part, instead of try to draw up too much information about something sensitive like trying to injure friends. He had to admit, though, that he wished he had been there to try to stop her. Even if Asher surely wouldn't have been able to snap the Meicrackmon back into any form of sanity from mind control.
There was another interesting topic brought to light, though. "A knight group?" The redhead had to admit, a knight suited K quite well! "I'm all ears," he stated, while putting his hands in his pockets and shifting to a slightly more comfortable position. "I'd like to hear about your group."

Of course there were questions revolving around the wisemon and how he was able to mind control her. With a sigh she'd gesture to herself and start to explain. It was very simple to do so; after all the strength of digimon was paramount and there was a small way of telling what people were capable of with senses there was another issue...
"Through some manipulation I was more or less coerced into it by threatening of my children and husband. As I was a rookie form; he as an ultimate or mega was capable of affecting a 'weaker' mon. After all in your sprite level do you have the same strength or resistances as your fusion? He played me like a fiddle and reaped the benefits of doing so."
The meicrackmon sighed and turned her head to the meicoomon giving her a small but friendly grin. She'd dip her head in a nod and then pause for a few moments thinking how to explain this. Though it would seem silly to do so when she could just simply nod to that. Then of course asher came forward with the question that she felt that Whiskers was going to ask. Blinking slightly before shaking her head the smile would only widen.
"My data structure was far more malleable during my recovery back when we met that second time. I ended up sparring with a meicrackmon time and time again; our bleed off data bounced between one another and eventually my data was able to form not one but two separate forms from their species. A Meicrackmon and a Raguelmon; both for whatever reason have black fur but I would like to attribute it to the fact they are virus types while most of my others are vaccines. It feels very good being like this I'll tell you that though!"
The meicrackmon snickered a bit and then paused; looking very thoughtful as the human addressed the fact that she had gotten married and had kids. She'd sheepishly rub the back of her head and that smile would spread just a little further.
"Well, the digital world time moves quickly. And I had lived so long, alone for the most of it that I guess I found someone that we just... We just do. We just are. I don't... I don't really question it or think about it very much; I love him. He loves me. And well now I love my kids too. I'll have to introduce you to the three of them of course!"
The meicrackmon rubbed her cheek thoughtfully and then blinked as the rhetorical question was asked. She had said it before right? She'd simply nod and grin even wider when the other said he was all ears; and would like to hear about it.
"They're a group that's going to defend the digital world from large scale threats. The D-reaper, the Spires, and the Elemental orbs that I've yet to run into but it's only a matter of time. I'm trying to get people together that want the same thing to protect those that need it; when we're not dealing with large scale threats we'll deal with smaller localized ones."
The meicrackmon leaned forward a bit holding her hand out to whiskers; she figured the other cat would probably want to at least sniff her. So not to freak out; she knew how scent could be a huge play for some people. Though the other might do something else with the offered hand of course.
"I want to make the digital world safe for my family, my friends and the other people that deserve a chance at life. If I have the power of not one, not two, but three different super mega forms why not use it to do so? Why not use every single form I have at my disposal? Every skill at my disposal? I plan on learning more and more to help more and more. I don't expect the others to be as dedicated as I am to it; but I do expect them to fight when it comes down to it, and help when it comes down to it. Even if it's just two others than me you know? For now at least. As recruiting takes a bit; but is so worth it."

It was probably a good thing that Asher had gotten the gist of evolutions well enough by this point, that the idea of an ultimate, or higher, trying to force a rookie to anything seemed entirely plausible. After all, with Antylamon... Asher could almost understand the issue.
Of course, he didn't have kids and a spouse. That was probably lucky for a few different reasons!
Side note, why wasn't Asher invited to the digi-wedding? Should he be offended?
...Anyway! It was probably a good thing that Asher had posed the next question about feline features! Whiskers was a bit too shy to do it herself! And, the explanation proved to be an interesting story, at that. "I swear, there's never a dull moment for you, huh?" Asher chuckled, giving a small shake of the head. At least the once-canine seemed pretty content with their extra forms! One had to wonder if anything similar could happen with spirit users.
Probably not. They seemed to have enough data issues as-is.
It was still crazy how much could happen in between meetings, though! But, still. "I'm glad you found that. Not everyone can find someone that makes them feel that way." Some people spent their entire lives trying! Then again, Digimon had a lot of lives to find their soulmate! Datamate? Whatever. Asher wasn't going to get into that right now. But, meeting them would surely make up for the fact that Asher was never invited to a digiwedding! Cracking a grin, the teen certainly wasn't going to disagree with the suggestion. "Can't wait to meet them!" After all, Asher had to meet the 'Mon that made his friend this happy! And their kids, of course!
But! For now, it was time to learn about K's goals for this team! It was always interesting to learn about passions of others. And between family and this team, it seemed like Asher was going to hear it all!
Lips pressed together, listening to the threats that were raging in the Digital World. The D-Reaper. While Asher hadn't faced the threats that loomed, he was plenty familiar with what the D-Reaper could do with others. And the spires weren't particularly unknown. The elemental orbs, however, were completely foreign to him. But, just because Asher didn't know something didn't make it less of an issue.
Meanwhile, per K's suspicion of Whisker's being scent-based, the feline leaned forward a bit, after realizing what K was doing, and took a second to examine the scent. While this would probably be strange to a human's perspective, it was always nice when other Digimon processed that some digital creatures had different ways of gaining familiarity! Scents weren't limited to dogs, after all! And, Whiskers was pretty close to a more animal-esque side of the Digimon spectrum. At least, as far as those who had the mentality to speak went! After a moment of this, it seemed that the Meicoomon had definitely settled down more. In fact, if K didn't move her hand, she might be surprised to find that the rookie would reach up with both tendrils, and lightly clap them around K's paw. It was clearly a harmless gesture, and the green-eyed cat seemed strangely content with the idea of doing this! Maybe, it was her way of shaking 'hands'!
"How many have you recruited so far?" An innocent enough question, right? The idea of K collecting companions for her cause was pretty admirable, really. Hopefully, she meant that she had already collected two people! Regardless of the answer, the actor would stare at his mercenary for a couple of moments, contemplating.
Was it a ridiculous idea that had crossed his mind? In comparison to K, Asher was fairly weak. After all, his strongest form was Ultimate. She might pity him. Or laugh at him.
But, he'd ask anyway. "It does sound worth it," he admitted, thoughtfully. "Think I could join?"

K cracked a small smile when Asher addressed how she never seemed to have a dull moment. In all honesty her dull moments ended when she left the inn for the first time in god knows how long to take a train that just ended up with her being hospitalized! She had so many adventures since then to the point of where she could distinctly mark out the times where she felt herself get stronger. The sheer amount of forms that she held sway over were because of all these conflicts, all these trials that she had time and time again.
"Not since the incident with the train no. It was just a congo line of events leading up to this."
The black furred digimon flicked her ears and look down at one of her hands slowly flexing it as he spoke of how he was glad that she had found someone like that. Honestly she was still reeling from the fact she had; it was something that she didn't know how to handle; love was something that defanged her to the point of where she felt butterflies in her stomach when she thought of him. When he thought of them. The digimon closed her eyes and sighed softly.
"I'm glad I found someone too, I... wasn't really expecting it. Still sort of getting used to it, who would of been interested in an Innkeeper you know? But he didn't care."
K grinned a bit and stared quietly at the human; her smile was reaching ear to ear at this point and she'd dip her head in a brief nod. She'd have to introduce him at some point! He was among one of the first humans she had met; the other two being Dante and Unica both of which she hadn't seen in quite some time.
"Trust me you'll get the opportunity. His name is Mikemon, he's a doctor. My two kids are a BlackGatomon named Syre and a Renamon named Siris. You'd like them I think~"
What surprised the mon is how the other took her explanation of what she had been doing as well as what she wanted to do in stride. There wasn't much in the way of reactions when she pushed out the D-reaper and Spire threats but there was a faint tint of what she suspected to be uncertainty when she referred to the Elemental orbs. Out of the three she was the least used to those ones.
The meicrackmon wouldn't move a muscle for Whiskers, quietly mulling about things as they went. She knew how it was to be like this; she liked the sort of interactions like this as they were seemingly so much more pure than simple words. She'd quirk her brows however when the rookie clapped their tendrils around the Ultimate's paw. She'd give whiskers a little smile and gingerly return the gesture with one of her own tendrils gently tapping the tip of the nose of the other feline in a somewhat playful gesture.
Her ear flicked at Asher's question and her expression shifted from the somewhat cheerful one to that of more serious. She'd lean and look at him her ice blue eyes reading the human for a few moments before sighing.
"Other than myself I've got a tamer pairing and a Seraphimon who's entire purpose is to guard the base we have. Luke and Iko are the names of the two in the pairing and Oathgard is the Seraphimon's. It's slow going as we're not well known yet. I have someone that works directly under me and they're technically part of the knights but they want to practice more before taking the tests associated with it."
The meicrackmon quirked a brow however and then gently retracted her hand away from whiskers not wishing to disturb the rookie too much. Her ears swiveled and flicked forward her icy eyes reading the actor's motion of lips; his expression. His everything at that moment; not everyone would see this sort of thing and have that sort of reaction. Not everyone would take all that in stride. In a simple but easy gesture shining in it's immaculate manner the human had proved at least one thing to K.
"I would need to test your strength first. See your resolve."
The meicrackmon slowly stood up brushing off her legs a little bit as though they were dusty. It was a habit she would never get rid of thanks to all her time at the inn.
"We could do trial by combat, or if you're feeling up to it check out the mission board for an A or higher mission type. How many spirits do you have now? Last we met I could sense three different tones from you as I engulfed the area in my presence but as I'm unable to do that here..."
She wasn't all powerful, she wasn't all knowing. She wasn't the sort that would lead by begin a leader, she was the sort that would lead from the front with everyone else. Pushing through the muck and grime with her knights. Here she was staring someone right in the face and they had the resolve to ask her if they wanted to join.
"Were I to show you the height I was able to reach would you still be willing to climb to it yourself? With friends? Family? With the whole world watching?"

It was funny how one event could completely change someone's life. For K, it was a train ride. For Asher, it was meeting some girls doing a little concert on a street in Shibuya. What would have happened if K hadn't gone to the train that day? Would she still be at an inn? Would Asher have ever met her?
Probably not.
But, all that excitement in K's life had led her to love. And, that definitely had to be worth something. Even if she had died due to leaving the inn, also. It was funny how life worked, wasn't it? Listening through the description of her husband and her children, the redhead smiled. "An innkeeper and a doctor, huh? Seems like a good match to me," he commented. Somehow, they really did fit. Even if K didn't seem like much of an inkeeper these days!
Though, Whiskers seemed interested in these facts, too! "I like Mikemons. And BlackGatomons. And--"
"Are you about to list off every cat digimon you can think of?"
"...Pawsibly." Definitely. The answer was definitely. But, now she wasn't! Granted, this was timed with the tap on her nose. For a second, the green-eyed cat blinked slowly to register, before the purring became obvious. K was okay.
Plus, no cat hater would marry a cat.
Still, she'd easily let go when K began to pull away. After all, a more important subject had come up. Asher was going to try to join this thing? That was a weird thought! Especially when tests were brought up! Yet, the feline could tell that the request was unwavering. She had seen Asher second guess himself before, and this wasn't one of those situations. Maybe, the redhead needed something like this.
At least it put the feline at ease to know that others were part of this group already also. But, what was this about someone guarding a base? There was already a base?
Asher was more focused on his options between missions and fights, though! Was the idea of fighting K a good one? Or, would he be fighting someone else? It was hard to say with her sometimes! "I'm still at Ultimate." Which meant four, if he included his armor ultimate! "I wanted to get a better handle on them, before I added to it." This was far from a lie. After all, if he struggled against his current forms on some days, it would be a terrible plan to add to them! But, that time was soon to end. "I think I'm going to try to find the next one soon."
Even though the 'next one' was actually going to be his champion's armor form instead of an upgrade. One had to test the waters of the rest of this line first, after all.
"That said, trial by combat could be fun." Surely, that decision had no weight from Antylamon's desire to fight whatsoever. Nope. Not at all.
As an actor 'the whole world watching' wasn't much of an intimidating question. And, the idea of someone being better than him could almost press the ideal of wanting to be competitive about it. Luckily, that 'someone' was K, so he didn't harbor any jealous feelings toward such an idea. So, to that, he could only respond with, "why wouldn't I?" In fact, it felt more like a challenge to be taken!

The meicrackmon let out a somewhat loose chuckle at the spirit user's statement about how an Innkeeper and doctor were a good match. She wasn't much of an innkeeper anymore. Those days were long behind her; well over a year now it felt. She'd scratch at her neck and grin at Asher.
"Not much of an Innkeeper now days, more like a warrior. Well. A knight in this case. But that makes it even more fitting doesn't it? But the roles could be reversed or I could be a thousand different things and that wouldn't change the love we have for one another."
The meicrackmon let out a soft sigh; she was very glad she had met the good doctor. She was even more glad that she had taken the risk after seeming to be afraid of it. K blinked a little bit and gave a little grin as whiskers seemed to list off what she liked; at least digimon wise. With a small chuckle she'd gently pat the smaller cat on the head if allowed.
There was a lot of things that they could talk about here and a lot of things they could address. But if there was one thing that K was not expecting it was this. She'd roll her shoulders a bit and stare quietly at the other.
"Still at ultimate? That's not a problem. I understand why you would want that; there are some forms of mine that I lack... good control over so to speak. Energy and some emotional desires can be a touch overwhelming. If you want help with anything do hesitate to ask Asher~"
The meicrackmon confirmed and then blinked quietly as the other told her what they wanted to do for the attempt to joining the knights. She had no doubt that she would be able to see what asher was capable of as well as other things. She understood him somewhat; there were layers of trust and it sometimes felt like he was hiding something but... Weren't they all? If he wanted to talk about it he would. It wasn't from lack of trust in others she figured; maybe more a lack of trust in himself?
"Then lets go. I know a place we can do this."
It wasn't too far away after all, she could just simply take them to a nearby clearing to show them what she meant. Show them what she was hoping for. The meicrackmon stretched a little bit and slowly stood up.
"Because when the world is watching; there are some that balk under it's gaze. When some look down they forget those that have had to crawl through the muck and grime to get where they are. While the knights themselves think of the larger threats, we're not going to forget the little things either. So there will be a lot of stress; but in the end... It will be a safer place for everyone."
The meicrackmon gestured out towards the forest and if the two were willing she would lead them out through a maze of bushes, branches and underbrush. It would take maybe an hour before they were at the place she had thought of. A sizable clearing that was surprisingly well suited to what they would be doing. It was hard to see the other side of the clearing from where they stood.
"This is the place... now I want to show you something. Last time we spoke I had the barest of understandings of what power I had myself; and when compared to others I.. wasn't brought up short or wanting. It's something I think everyone is capable of; if they truely fight for it. But it's not something that can just be brought from your own self and wants. It's something that's brought from others too; the stronger you are with them the stronger you can be."
The meicrackmon strode out into the clearing gently running her hand through some of the grass; stooping down to do so as she took in the mere thought of this place. It was so much like her grove; had so much death in it but had so much potential. But still she walked to what seemed to be a good distance away; her voice loud and proud.
"I'm going to show you the effort that I took. And once I have done so I want to ask you a simple question."
The meicrackmon took a moment to collect herself. There was a long indescribable pause. The pressure coming off from the meicrackmon shifted inwards, shifted into such a sense of gentle belonging that it was not a surprise when their form shifted into something more sublime. It shifted and grew more muscular. Armored warped into place and the snout turned from a more feline to a canine one. It's tail turned skinny but long, raw with power on it's own. Each limb itself seemed to strengthen and grow. The form itself was compact, raw on it's own. There was maybe a full minute of it's form shifting and warping from the reality that was the meicrackmon.
She was not the center of this place.
She was not even close to it. But yet still did she beg the attention of every being within eyesight. Did she tell them in the gentle overwhelming nature of this creature that it would be okay. There was not a single drop of hatred rolling off of this creature; there was not a single threat or power that wanted anything here dead. It simply stood there, ice blue eyes staring out from a visor out to the human for a few long simple moments.
Allowing them to soak in this feeling; which underneath sang with something else. The earnest desire to protect, to fight for those that could not or would not. To fight for those yet to still be and those that would be. She would stand there silently; watching the human for what seemed to be an eternity before too long did this power fade into something more simple. A form less refined. The same form that they met earlier with; a soft but simple gentle sigh easing out of her. Her voice was gentle; quiet. But there was nothing stopping the human from hearing her; this place had accepted her silence as it's own.
"This world needs Hope again Asher. I want to be the one to provide it. "
She'd flick her wrists and her blades would flip around into 'attack' mode. She was beyond familiar with this form and it went to show. She didn't want to hurt her friend so it was more forced than anything. But for a trial like this she was putting that aside. Her blades seemed to wobble a bit before settling down.
"Take your form Asher. Show me why Hope should rest on your shoulders."

Honestly, a doctor and a knight fit so much better! A small chuckle escaped from the redhead at the thought. It was a wonder that K could not only find a doctor that loved her, but didn't try to hold her back from something that could be considered pretty dangerous! If that wasn't love, the teen didn't know what was! ...Then again, nobody should probably ever ask Asher for advice in such a subject! "I'm glad you found someone like that," the spirit user hummed, genuinely happy for his friend. Not many could say that they had a relationship like that, after all!
Another relief was that K was understanding that Asher hadn't surpassed Ultimate. Sometime soon, he would surely decide to continue his hunts. But, luckily, it didn't seem that his totems were in any positions to fear being stolen by others. Judging by Antylamon, alone, one could almost think that they were more than capable of defending themselves -- even if they weren't quite alive in their totem states! "I'll keep that in mind," the redhead smiled. Of course he'd hesitate to ask, if he ever needed assistance! Asher wasn't particularly fond of needing help, after all. And, his spirits certainly didn't seem keen on the idea either.
Meanwhile, Whiskers would just continue to purr at the pat on the head. After all, it wasn't like the Meicrackmon meant any harm from it! Though, once Asher had placed his offer on how he wanted to join the knights, the Meicoomon had to wonder how rough K would be on her friend when it came to a fight. Would it actually be life threatening? Whiskers could only hope that it wasn't the case! Not only was she not strong enough to defend Asher against someone like K, but... well. It would probably royally agitate her human, if she had tried.
How would Asher handle such stresses, though? K made it pretty clear that this was a serious endeavor! Whiskers hadn't seen her human in particularly serious states. At least, not in her opinion! But, she quickly tailed after Asher as he followed K into the forest. "Nya," the feline meowed, to draw attention to her before she began to her concern. "If Ashpurr passes your test, am I allowed to purrticipate in knighty-teamy things with him?" After all, Whiskers wasn't necessarily in a position to sign herself up for the knights! Nor did she really want to directly align with anyone outside of her mercenary job! As far as Whiskers was concerned, her only true alignment was Asher. In direct relation to her job. "He's my hyooman and stuff, and I don't really want to leave him alone that much," she admitted, earning a small snicker from the redhead that was with her.
He wouldn't try to answer the question for K with any assumptions, however. It was her team, after all.
Soon, they reached the place that K had been leading them to. It was almost strange that the teen had remained as silent as he was throughout the entire walk, only listening to what everyone else was saying -- aside from his earlier snicker at his pet. At one point, the ex-actor stopped, sliding a leg in front of Whiskers to signal for her to come to a stop also. After all, they were about to be shown something. And between K's signals and the air that she was putting off, Asher could only assume that they would want to be a little ways away from her for the moment.
And, honestly, it seemed that this had been a good idea. While the energy that had been put off was far from violent, it was still... strong. In its own sense. When one considered that those within the area could feel it, there was no doubt that the creature that created such a feeling was a force that should not be challenged.
Whiskers' nose twitched a little at the feeling, as the tips of her fur tingled from the sensation. While, Asher just continued to stare. There was something really calming about the feeling. Simultaneously, there was something aggravating about it. Where many spirits may have been contented by it -- or at least urged to back down to a just being -- to such a pure feeling, Antylamon grew restless to it. At the same time, the ball was not in the rabbit's court. Any push she made seemed to be against a wall. While the frustrated feelings were known to her human, it didn't seem to hold much effect to her ability to force her way out of him.
Perhaps, such an aura had been enough to put her host's mindset to one that was in more control.
This would be another thing the beast would not enjoy, if it were true.
Though, when K stated that the world needed hope again, the Beast could feel a slight urge of disagreement from her host. Did this world have hope before? Asher wasn't entirely sure. But, he knew that his perspective of the human's world, it occasionally felt like there had never been a proper sense of hope for many.
"You're not alone on that," the spirit user finally stated something, once words found their way to his lips. With her mention of others joining the team already, it was an obvious statement. Others wanted to bring hope to the world. And, considering his current 'predicament', it was likely clear that the teen had similar stance.
A mirror-like shell rapidly built its way around the spirit user to create an orb, at K's request. It lifted off the ground, to provide clearance for the creature that would soon break free. The shell gave a pulse.
Was Asher sure he wanted to do this? His opponent could crush him if she truly wanted.
Of course. Even against potential odds, the teen wasn't one to back down from something he'd agreed to. Hope wasn't about giving up when the favors stacked against you, after all. And, this trait in his personality had been what allowed him to host an otherwise dangerous line of spirits.
The mirrored shell soon crumbled to tiny fragments, fading out as they fell toward the grass. A large rabbit began to uncurl its body from the sphere, before lightly placing feet onto the ground. The Antylamon gave a slow blink toward K, and for a moment, seemed to process just who it was that held full control of the beast's body.
An almost unusual turn of events.
Looking at the events unfolding, Whiskers quickly established that she needed to move away from the two that were far higher level than her. She'd soon hop away from the duo, to avoid getting in any troubles from being too close.
And, only once the small feline was out of the way, the Ultimate's host chose to speak. No other voice clouding his words. It was a strange peace, that was almost alien to this form. But, perhaps a welcomed feeling at this point in time. "Ready?"

"I am too. I'm certain if I hadn't found him my life wouldn't... wouldn't be the same"
Suffice to say if she had never found him, she would be dead. Long gone into the abyss that was the digital world's trash data and never would be heard from again. She loved this digimon from the bottom of her core for a different reason all together but she had to admit she'd... simply be nothing without him. At his simple answer of her offer to help him with the totem hunts she figured he probably didn't need it. But offering the help was something she felt like she needed to do.
On the walk the shutmon scratched at her muzzle thoughtfully; mulling over much of what had transpired to her and her friends. She'd pause and look down at the meicoomon as she meowed for the shutmon's attention.
"There's nothing restricting you from working with him if he passes; we can use all the help we can get regardless of affiliation."
The shutmon knew the concern, she felt that quite evenly. Joseph had run into the same problem with AEGIS as he had grown incredibly nervous around larger groups of humans and eventually had found himself hiding away from it all up until K left back to the digital world.
She would give Asher time to figure out what he had seen, what he had felt. She simply clasped her hands and waited; her ears swiveling around as though a predator of sorts. Running a single digit along the length of one of her arm blades the Shutmon tilted her head slightly as the Spirit user stated something fairly simple. Fairly straightforward. It was... something that she had hoped to hear. Something she wanted to know. She'd lean a bit her hand going up to her sword, drawing it off of her back in one simple action.
She felt that power radiate off of him, it wasn't strong it wasn't weak. It was where you could feel it blossoming in the chests of many. Ultimate was a form that once you reached it you started to find your way, find the way of the sorts you weren't truly expecting. She'd grip her sword quietly and wait for whiskers to hop away from them; she figured that the meicoomon didn't want to fight alongside asher. She wasn't sure how strong they were but she wasn't going to force them to fight unless they wanted to become part of the knights too.
"A single tone, often rings deep in the darkness. Silence greets those that speak, and time forgets those that fought. I'm as ready as I was the moment you expressed interest in the Knighthood. Now silence spins a second tune, one that we all know."
The shutmon drawled in a somewhat cryptic manner, silence had a way of working with K. Making her mind a little more set in stone, a fighting style of one that many could see but few could participate with. She'd take a moment before bounding forward her sword coming in a wide swing from left to right. She wanted to see what sort of reaction times her Aspirant had.
She wanted to feel that spark she got from the others.

Whiskers was more than content hearing that she wasn't being shunned from anything involved in the Knights, if her human made it into them. Though, the feline had to wonder if K would let Asher win. Truth be told, the cat had only actually been present for one or two of Asher's fighting experiences, and she wasn't even entirely faithful that he could have this handled. After all, the first time she had seen his Antylamon form, he was very much not the one in control of it.
While she wanted to be able to participate in parts of the knights' involvements, she also felt that this fight definitely wasn't hers. And, to be blunt, her own abilities had been stunted to this point, where she would only prove a hindrance in a fight between two ultimates. And, it didn't seem like a fair fight in any way, to include her in a battle for acceptance to a team that she wasn't officially a part of.
Hearing the final words before K would begin, the Antylamon tilted its head a little, sliding a foot backwards in preparation. Silence, huh? That seemed to be a bit of a motif with K, didn't it? What would happen if that silence was disrupted? It's a shame nobody would have time to mull that over right now.
Was it expected of him to dodge? Or block?
Did it matter?
Think of it like a game.
It was terrible to take advice from voices in one's head, really. But, while he had the initial advantage of K being relatively obvious with her first move, he used the time in this debate. In the last moment, the rabbit spun. Hands morphed to blades, which quickly connected with the sword that had been aimed at him. With the momentum of the spin, and the weight of the axes, surely if it met the sword, it would at least stop the Shutmon's move. And, if it had worked according to plan, the force behind the bunny blades had a chance of even shoving the sword back. Unless his opponent had something else up her sleeves, of course!
He couldn't imagine that the gesture would faze a fighter like K too much. But, without providing a counter, it almost seemed that the rabbit was waiting for something different. Perhaps, he was just waiting for the first actual attempt at an attack. This couldn't be how K was going to judge anything, with simple slashes.
And the actor would wait until his cue to play in a less 'formal' fashion. Or, at least, until it would run risk of just being an insulting spar, in the chance that K never acted beyond swinging her sword. Until then, he'd follow the pace that she created. After all, he wasn't the only one being tested. Sometimes it was important to see what a leader would do in these situations, too.
How would K lead this fight?

This wasn't just a simple test, for a simple matter. There were complex parts moving that neither of them would truly understand until the flames of an actual battle came up to their waists and threatened to drag them down into the depths of a barely controlled fury.
The obvious swing was just a simple little gauge of reaction times; her eyes flicked to follow the movement of the rabbit. His spinning motion letting her slide along his arms to find that those hands had morphed to blades. A wise move normally to someone that wasn't looking to examine their opponent head to toe.
His axe hands met the sword without little issue, they would halt against one another for a few moments and would follow through with a shove that would likely normally set someone off balance. He wasn't wrong that it didn't phase her, if anything she worked with the momentum he gave her arcing her back she went with it and flipped away from the actor. Though she didn't land without doing something the actor probably wouldn't enjoy all too much.
As her blade came up the shutmon twisted her hands on the handle and the blade would leap to life. Lightning charging all along it's form and dancing a merry but deadly tune. Silence and hardened eyes inspected the actor for a moment before she kicked off the ground. Her sword was at her side held simple in one hand her form arching a little bit as she started to get a touch more creative.
She led with a kick from the left, aimed at his head looking to daze him. If he blocked or moved out of the way? Well she would use her momentum to twist and slash downwards at asher; inflicting some real pain on her aspirant.
Log -K activated Lightning-blade!
Move: Lightning-Blade: This digimon may charge it's blades with lightning, allowing it to make shocking high damaging strikes for two posts. This may electrocute some bodies of water and deal spread damage within. This move has a two post cool down.
