It only felt like it a short time ago she was just at her home snoozing and living a normal life... Yet everything just seemed so different now with how Haru looked at the world. Even through eyes that were not exactly her own, the human world felt more alien than it ever has... her own birthplace and former race looked more bizarre than ever.
It was not easy for her to even try adjusting back to human life... First there was the whole acquisition of a holosuit (she getting help from doctor Mikemon on tweaking it out to match as best as her original self), but then also getting used to actually moving about in it! Turns out being stuck in two forms without arms or legs after being reborn and her current one being quadrupedal led to her having some difficulty adjusting back to standing on two legs. Than there was the whole mess with having to explain to her boss why she was missing for a week, having to catch up on college studies...
God DAMN... She completely took the simplicity of the past digital weeks for granted. She really was being forced to get back on the ground and running. Not even the little science lessons from the doc on adjusting to her new race were this complicated!
It was a weekend afternoon; while disguised in her holosuit, Haru was trying to relax in probably one of the more quiet locales in Shibuya... none other than the tranquil Shibuki Forest. Of course, she was just in the more urbanized area; the girl sitting on a picnic table while high up in a tree, a pair of emerald eyes belonging to a feline stared down at her.
"You seem glum, Haru." Tawna quietly spoke, noting how... quiet Haru was right now. It kinda seemed that was the case recently... Which honestly, she couldn't blame her. Haru had her world irreversibly changed. All she could do now was try to be there for them.
"Am I? Gee... I dunno even anymore." the girl idly commented, holding her head with her hands as her elbows laid on the bench. She... had a lot on her mind at the moment, to say the least.

Man, am I ever hungry... Chenjin groaned in his mind as he clutched his stomach, which was growling once every few minutes. He had decided to come to the Shibuki Forest to take a nap the day before his first day of school, and he ended up missing breakfast! And boy, was he paying the price for it now...
Still, he was happy with his decision to come to the Human World. He was attending his first day at Shibuya's local high school tomorrow, and he was ever so excited! He had searched on school customs in the human world and he was in love with almost all of them! If only tomorrow could come faster!
Anyways, as he was walking (and complaining to himself about being hungry,) he began to sense something. What was it? A Digimon? A Digimon friend, perhaps? Happily, he trotted off to the source of that sensation to (hopefully) form a new friendship!
What he found, however, was a human girl sitting alone at a picnic table. She looked... sad. Lonely. Maybe a friend could cheer her up! She had to be in holosuit, right?
Cheerfully, Chenji had walked up to her. "Hi there!"

Haru laid her head on the picnic table, for a moment staring at her hands as she flexed her fingers idly. It was... actually kinda odd knowing that technically, these fingers were not her own. Her real form now didn't even have any currently! It was just extremely bizarre for someone like her realizing that her life was now not gonna be quite the same. She wasn't exactly sad... more just in deep contemplation of how she's do things now.
Tawna sighed as she lounged in the branch, shaking her head slightly. "Give it some time... The club and I are here to help you as much as possible. You'll... get used to it." the Meicoomon spoke as she tried to reassure her partner. Life was going to be more tricky, but she had nothing but hopes that the girl would be able to bounce back. They... just need some time, thats all.
Haru sighed as she idly gazed at her backpack laying by the ground... It was probably time to get going, wasn't it? Before she could do anything though, she caught eye of a rather interesting sight... a short-looking Digimon with white fur and metallic claws, alongside a red helmet(?). Cheery lil' fellow, but what was a Digimon doing all the way out here undisguised? Haru seemed to perk up as she turned to them, tiliting her head in confusion. "Hello? Are... Are you lost by chance?" she asked... if mostly because it was a bit surprising to even be approached by a Digimon at this point. Honestly, it was weird how differently they smelled too. Digimon had a very distinct smell compared to humans it felt like.

"Nope! Not lost at all!" Chenjin happily replied, not losing the smile on his face. From there, he'd extend a claw towards Haru. "My name's Sir Chenjin! What's yours?"
After the introductions were out of the way, Chenjin would continue speaking. "Now, are you a human? Or are you a Digimon in a holosuit? Because you look human, but I sense a Digimon close by. It must be the Meicoomon I saw you talking to!"
Haru would then notice that this Digimon was not like the others. While others would rather be causing trouble, this one just seemed to wanna be friends. He also brought up another important thing: "I saw you with your head in your hands... are you upset? Do you need a friend to talk to? Because I'll be that friend! I don't have many friends in the human world yet, except for this Ryudamon named Boss and a human named Jitsuko, both of them are really nice and-" Chenjin would continue rambling on and on like this unless prompted otherwise to stop.

Well... This little guy was at least friendly at least! Then again, it would have been more surprising if they weren't at least nice judging by looks alone... Still, it was kinda nice to see a friendly face since this Digital World hiatus of hers started. Haru was cut off-guard though as Chenjin let loose a loaded question.
The truth was obvious, but it was also a hard pill for Haru to outright swallow. Eighteen years of being human, and now she wasn't... Honestly, she had to actually catch herself from saying "no". She gulped slightly as she tried to collect her thoughts, accepting the metallic claw with her hand. "I... I am a Digimon, yes." she spoke, glancing over to Tawna who had came down to see the Gatchmon. "Th-This is my friend, Tawna." she quietly introduced Chen to her former partner... It was going to be really difficult to not say "partner" too.
"We're twins." the emerald-eyed Meicoomon spoke as she sighed, hopping onto the table on all fours as she gazed at the Rookie. Cute kid... but how odd that he was just out in the open without a holosuit. Was he just that confident with hiding, or just naive? Well, regardless... maybe having Haru talk to someone would be nice. Nonetheless, she decided to introduce them to her new(ish)sister. "This is Haru Toriya. She means a lot to me, but she has been going through some tough times recently."
Haru seemed to perk up at that, if just to argue against what Tawna was saying. "Hey, its not THAT bad! I'm doing fine!"
"Library?" Tawna countered. Yeesh... that was not a fun day even just looking back. "Look, I'm just saying you should talk to someone... Like the nice Gatchmon here."

"What kind of Digimon are you then?" Chenjin asked Haru as he shook her hand, not understanding the circumstances that the poor teenager has gone through. "Sistermon? Lilamon? Angewomon?!" Haru would then introduce Tawna, prompting Chenjin to extend a clawed hand out to her as well.
The human-ish Digimon seemed to be more and more upset, but the Meicoomon kept telling her that talking to others would be good for her. Chenjin surely agreed to that! "Yeah! I'd love to be your friend, Haru! I'm currently living here in the Human World and attending school! Wanna see my holosuit?"
Chenjin was having a grand old time talking to a couple of new friends! Anyone he could talk to was going to be his friend. However, in the midst of this excitement, Chenjin forgot about how hungry he was. Before he knew it, his stomach growled again. He froze in the middle of talking and gradually became more red by the second. Maybe they didn't hear it...?

Haru's mood couldn't help but slightly improve at the sight of Chen's bouncy, cheery nature... It kinda reminded her of herself honestly. The goggle-wearing holosuit'd Digimon smiled somewhat, awkwardly rubbing the back of her head... "Oh no, I'm not a humanoid looking Digimon. I actually am a Salamon, but I evolve into a Meicoomon like Tawna." they politely spoke, Tawna butting in somewhat on the conversation.
"She recent was forced back into a Digiegg, so it is going to take time for her to adjust to forms." they briefly explained... Well, it wasn't a lie. Haru might have shown she was able to hit Mega... but use said form properly? Nope, not happening. The plan was to string Haru along with learning how to adjust to each form, that way she does not get overwhelmed.
"Err, yeah! Thats kinda just the gist..." Haru awkwardly commented... It at least made sense to not go discussing the whole "once a human" thing, but she didn't want to get wrapped up in lies if she could avoid it. That aside, Chen was just a sweet little thing, wasn't he? He was also living in the human world...? It seems also disguised as a human too... How many people in Shibuya were actually Digimon in that case? Well, a moot point at the mome. "I'd be happy to be friends Chen-kun ~ ! You really can't ever have enough friends, and I feel that any new person you meet has the potential to be a new friend." she somewhat pluckily spoke, her mood already much better than before. Sure it still hurt... but it hurt less now.
"I wouldn't object, but I admit holosuits just aren't my thing." Tawna ended up responding as she took a seat down on the table, a somewhat coy look on her face hearing Chen's stomach growl, she doing all she could to avoid a giggle.
"You just gotta find one that you'll like! Ya know... Something human-looking! And uhhh, not what Lucey has. You really should get one now though." Haru added on, denoting her partner's lack of a holosuit... the main reason the emerald-eyed Meicoomon was out in the open like this. Seriously, anything was better than Lucey's holosuit... Was it even a holosuit? She was pretty sure they picked that form out just to freak her out.

"I've never really seen Meicoomons before. I've lived in Whitewater my whole life, and I don't see many of your kind there. You know what Whitewater is, right?"
Tawna explained that Haru was recently forced back into a Digiegg, which made Chenjin a bit upset. "I saw that happened to my big brother... we still haven't found him since. At least you found your sister."
Then Chenjin's spirits were lifted when Haru said she'd be happy to become friends with him. Immediately he began to bounce up and down. "Hooray! Hooray! You can come visit my dorm room now!"
Back to the embarrassment as Chenjin was trying to hide his growling stomach. He didn't bring any food with him, and he wasn't at the point where he was comfortable with asking them for food. For the time being, he just didn't bring up his hunger. The twins began talking about someone named Lucey, and how her holosuit looked.... wrong.
"What does this 'Lucey's' holosuit look like?" Chenjin asked, curious.
