[Continued from here.] ...Mao hadn't been expecting a third party to have been involved in this entire mess. "Pike? Who's that?" She inquired, standing up and stretching a little before she sat back down quickly. Almost like she had recalled she was wearing an outfit that was most definitely not hers and also pretty garish to wear. She pushed up her glasses and decided to start from the top. "Okay. So, I'm Mao--Kita Mao, and this is Ashikaga Tsukiko. Our...allies range from a misanthropic alien to a samurai clan. We got a message on our D-Terminals about some place and someone hit yes, which ended up whisking us here in these...ridiculous clothes." Simple and to the point.
Vemmon had not been expecting to be joined by the peculiarly dressed Agumon, but a combined attack seemed to faze the Boltmon plenty before he launched his counterattack, a slam to the ground backed up by electricity that caused an explosion. Normally, Vemmon would have tumbled and rolled away along with Mitsuharu, but as Vemmon was...well, himself, for now? He knew his faculties better than anyone else. As he flew through the air, he braced for impact and clutched at the ground the moment he hit it. "...I've been deceased for far too long." The Vemmon noted as he rose up. Why he wasn't dead or why that even worked was anyone's question. "The chest is weak. Tender. Like beef on a spit. Capitalize." Tsukiko & The Ashikaga Clan

The creature slammed his closed right fist against his opened left hand. “Pike is my brother. He was with me when we received that odd message. Why isn’t he here?” He questioned, looking around the cage. His attention then shifted back to the orange-haired girl, who was giving a bit more of insight. “It’s nice to meet you, Kita Mao, Ashikaga Tsukiko.” A respectful bow accompanied these words. “I’m sorry if I was only asking questions before. I can see you might not have much clue of what’s going on either.” He then frowned, confused. Then, Tsukiko finally decided to speak, to give some extra information. “We just saw a broadcast. I don’t know what Kita-san thinks, but it does seem like some tiny digimon got us in all of this. It is possible your brother is on the group of the rescuers, too. In case we assume the rescuers are our partners, which we’re not so sure of just yet.” Her blue eyes then went back to Mao. “What do you think? Does this seem like a good assumption? In that case… is it possible your spirit is wandering around this world with a body of his own?”
Mitsuharu turned to Vemmon. It sounded like a good plan. Maybe the part of the beef on a spit was too much, but the intention was what mattered. The samurai nodded at the alien, to then put his sword behind, getting ready to charge against the opponent. “Let’s do it, then.” He affixed his eyes on the monster, more specifically on the wound he bestowed. “Here I go!”Staring at the whole development, Kissu kept trying to look for answers. What had that digimon on the broadcast just said? The elder tried to go through every word he uttered. “Arcaria…” That was the name of this place, probably. “Everything--is—possible?” Even a rookie beating a Mega? They were about to find out, Mitsuharu was charging against the Boltmon at full throttle. Just at the right time, the Bushi Agumon took a leap. As he prepared his blade to strike the enemy right at his weak spot, he saw the monster’s data discomposing and banishing in thin air. Electricity came out of his stomach. Someone had given a deadly blow to him from behind. “SHOCK!” Was the only thing that could be heard, coming from a young, energetic voice. Mitsuharu just fell to the other side of the creature that was slowly dying. As soon as he put one of his feet on the ground, he turned to discover the identity of the one who had ‘shocked’ the Boltmon to death. “Good job, everyone." A small digimon gave them a thumbs up, using a heroic voice. "But you must fear no more! I, the great Pike, can take it from here.”

"...So what's the male version of a damsel?" Mao wondered out loud. "...A-Anyways! Theory time. So, we got picked out as damsels or...damse...guys? In his case." She stated, gesturing towards...the ball guy. "And the thing that brought us here just separated us from our partners, be they alive or...spirits, and dropped them wherever. So...Yeah, that might be it? That guy with the coat probably did it."
She then looked to Tsukiko and nodded. "I guess? Vemmon's...an awful person, but the thing keeping him in check is myself and the fact that he's split into several pieces, and also lacking a body. If he has a body of his own? I'm less worried about us and more worried about everyone else..."
Vemmon said nothing more, simply running along with the Agumon in a rather feverish manner...Until the Boltmon just up and vanished. He quickly fell to the other side as his eye moved to stare at the other Digimon. "...The great who? Who are you?" What? Who's this guy?
"...Also no, I don't think you can."

“That’s a good question.” Tsukiko muttered, regarding Mao’s inquiry. This little one was taking the part of a damsel too but… he was actually a guy. “Damnse… guy?” The small metal ball pointed at himself with his left glove. His eyes then widened. “I NEVER TOLD YOU MY NAME.” He seemed to have just realized this. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry.” He repeated, bowing over and over towards the two girls. “My name is Ramma.” He finally said.
“What are you, exactly?” The pink-haired wondered. “I’m a Mamemon!” He rushed to answer. “And wait, what guy in a coat?” He quirked an eyebrow at Mao.
“The guy in the broadcast. He had a coat.” Tsukiko’s blue eyes then went to Mao again. “I think that’s a pretty solid theory. I really hope it’s true and our partners are coming here to save us."
“An awful person? You mean your partner? What do you mean he is lacking a body? Is he a ghost?” Saying that their new acquaintance was confused was an understatement. Well, they did have a lot of time to explain things while they waited. It wasn’t like they could do much right now, was it?
“What do you mean you’re worried about everyone else?” The girl started mustering a horrified expression. “Is that Vemmon guy that dangerous?”
Shrugging before uttering any word, Mitsuharu just walked towards the alien and the… ball, having a chat. “Beats me.” Was the answer to every question coming from Vemmon regarding this digimon's identity.
“Could it be that he lost someone too?” Kissu asked, slowly walking into the conversation. “This is a Thunderballmon, even though he looks a little different of those I’ve seen." “Too?” His arms crossed, the small digimon tilted his head (and body). “I’m looking for Ramma, my brother! We were together just a minute ago but then we received an odd message and…” “Yes, pretty much what happened to everyone. Your brother is probably being held by some evil cloaked magician.” The Samurai tended to relate everything he couldn’t understand with magic. “A magician?” Pike then turned to Vemmon. “And of course I can take it! … Although I don’t know what to take, exactly.” He muttered this last part.
Suddenly, the stage started changing once again. Had they advanced to a new level? The bits of green hills the meadow bestowed started vanishing, and now they were in a cold, snowy place. There was even a snowstorm and everything! A tower could be seen in the distance.
“I think we’ve reached a new level in this odd game. Be careful, everyone.” Kissu could only advert. She didn’t have a clue of what might be coming.

Mao almost swore she misheard Ramma as Ranma. While this brought a slight amount of amusement, it did not ease her worry. "Ooooh...So that's what a Mamemon looks like. And the guy we speak of was...Over there previously." She pointed at the monitor, which was off. Hopefully. Bringing her hand back, she sighed. "...I guess? Normally he's a spirit. And not only that, he's...from what I can tell, the vengeful spirit of an alien. I don't know how he thinks." Mao explained, before she noticed Tsu's horror. "...However, I imagine he's at least smart enough not to refuse help when its offered. Uh. Calm down please?"
COULD that be considered dangerous?
Questions for deliberation.
"No, it doesn't beat you. You're unscathed. That makes no sense." Turning his head towards Kissu and then Pike, Vemmon stood up. "I lost my vessel and need to make sure she doesn't die or anything. Has obnoxious orange hair. We must break the ankles of this magician and feast upon his innards." Lurid as that was, the stage changing had left Vemmon in a...
...Place that was a little familiar considering the recent undertaking he had gone through in a snowy place. "Cold. Must proceed." He droned as he began to take a few steps forward, before a thundering stomp echoed throughout the snowy land. A vague figure could be made out in the distance as the thunderous noise continued to step closer, and closer. It was large. Round. Thick, if you would, and in its hands appeared to be two big damn hammers.
And it also looked like it was wearing a mask. "HMMMMMM. Someone told me that there were a few monsters in need of clobberin' there!" A loud and obnoxiously regal voice shouted! "...I think the enemy just showed up." Vemmon noted.

Staring at the orange-haired girl, Ramma blinked a few times. “So you’ve heard about my species? I do think I look a little different from the regular Mamemon, but the reason involves a pretty long story.”
Meanwhile, Tsukiko paid more attention to the last part of Mao’s speech. The pink-haired just let go a sigh and moved her body towards the bars of the cage. “I guess there’s not much to do. I just hope he doesn’t interfere with the rest of our companions trying to save us.” The girl had a hopeless expression in her face.
Ramma just took a seat on the ground, still having trouble to move due to wearing that odd dress. “So… you two are like one of those… tamers?"
“Oh! So you’re talking about that guy who just appeared in the broadcast.” Pike finally managed to realize what they meant. “Yes! I also assumed he was the one who took Ramma but… is this some kind of game?" Wrinkling his mouth, the Thunderballmon questioned.
“Isn’t that a bit… too much?” Kissu asked, staring at Vemmon. Just what was this being? It was a little scary. However, it seemed to easily buy the idea of whoever did this being a magician, even if it was just a random comment coming from Mitsuharu. “You should come with us. Whatever we do, we should stay together.” She suggested, turning at Pike.
“Yes. The great Pike will protect you all!”
The group kept walking for a while under the cold snowstorm. Mitsuharu turned at Vemmon to clarify something that had gone unexplained. “Sensei told me when you say ‘beats me’ it means…” His words were interrupted by this stomping sound.
If the previous villain was scary, this one was rather… weird. And it could talk!
“Monsters?” Pike asked, stepping up front. This didn’t seem like a friendly guy, but everyone in the group just waited for the creature to make the first movement.
“Yes. I think this might be the enemy for the second stage.” Mitsuharu unsheathed his blade, replying to Vemmon's insight. “We need to beat him if we want to find Sensei, Ramma and that orange-haired girl who's your vessel.”

"Well...We're gonna be here for a while, I guess. Wanna tell us that story or...?" Mao inquired, before she looked to Tsu. "Yeah...Like I said, he's smart, so I hope he's smart enough to...you know. Realize what's up." Noticing the hopeless expression on Tsu's face...Mao reached over and poked her in the side. "...Hey, you okay?"
It was a pretty quietly asked question, but it was pertinent enough. The bespectacled pharaoh then looked to Ramma. "Uh...Tsukiko is. I'm just a Spirit Wielder."
"...He's bigger than the previous enemy, I'll admit that. But, we could still beat it, I presume...We're meant to beat this, yes?" Vemmon noted as the gigantic, hammer-wielding thick lad advanced ever closer. "Okay, when we can see it, we rush it. Deal?" Closer...
The enemy was now visible. It was...A...A Daipenmon?! But not just any Daipenmon, too...No, it wore a masked. This MaskedDaipenmon planted both of the hammers in his hands into the ground, handle-first as one end of them opened. "OOOOOH YEEAAAAHHHH!" The masked penguin screeched as two -big- rockets were launched from the hammers, right at the group!
Vemmon found himself making a run for it, and...not charging the penguin. Not at first. Hopefully nobody else got blown up too!

Staring at Mao, Ramma wrinkled his mouth. “My brother and I acquired these forms after being exposed at some strange device that took a piece of our data. Before all of this, we were actually looking for people that could help us fight the digimon who did this to us.” He crossed his arms, reminiscing about what they were doing after being taken out of their lab through that D-Terminal.
Tsukiko stared at Mao while the orange-haired girl approximated her finger to her side and poked her. At first, the pink-haired just blinked repeatedly, sort of confused. After some brief moments of silence, she just released a 'pffftt' and burst up laughing. “Hahahaha!” She took her hand to her mouth trying to contain her chuckle. “I—Am!” She replied. She couldn’t help it; her attitude was funny.
“That’s right!” Ramma clenched both fists and got very close to Tsukiko and Mao, an excited expression on his face. “That means you two are very strong, right!? Do you think you can help me and my brother Pike!?”
“Is that… a Daipenmon!?” Kissu asked out loud, staring at their new enemy for the level two. Mitsuharu nodded at Vemmon, prepared to attack once the creature showed up. Unfortunately, he couldn't perform the technique he was prepared to launch, since the penguin was faster in… launching two rockets out of his giant hammers!?
Mitsuharu immediately moved to the side, trying to dodge the upcoming missiles. Kissu moved in the opposite direction, trying to take enough distance from the monster and his projectiles. Pike, on his side, went for the giant penguin, coming through one of its sides, with great speed.
“Get… this!” He shouted, charging one of his fists with electricity and taking a huge leap, aiming to hit the icy creature right in its mask, with a frontal electric blow.

Oh. Oh, that actually...didn't sound very pleasant or long in the slightest. Mao had given Ramma a nod before she got a little startled (and confused) at Tsukiko's sudden burst of laughter. Well, at least everyone was calm. That...was the good part. "Oh. Uh...Good to know." Mao nodded. "What did they...those digimon do to you? Why?"
"I wouldn't say I'm kind of strong. I...guess you could call it borrowed power. My spirit, as much of a dick as he is? He's kind of the reason I can do things in this world. So...If we're reunited, then yeah. I can help. Whaddabout you, Tsu?" She was hoping that the woman managed to calm her cackling.
"I don't know what it is, but I HATE IT." Vemmon yelled as he became enveloped in a veil of purple, disappearing before he reappeared at the arm of the Masked Daipenmon...Trying to wrench a hammer away from it. "Woah, hands off the goods, pal!" The masked penguin chirped in protest as he tried to wave this...pesky little brat off.
The missiles exploded upon hitting the ground. Fairly easy to avoid for the group, given they began moving as the rockets flew. Pike's blow landed true thanks to Vemmon's distraction. And...The mask shattered to reveal the red face of a grizzled-looking penguin who's response was to blow a buffet of icy winds out at Pike, and any others who dared to impede upon this frozen hell. Also, the penguin felt a sharp...pain in his side...
...Wait, there was an Agumon too? Dang it, he ignored that bit and now he got left wide open!

The laughter suddenly stopped, and Tsukiko blinked a couple of times, looking at Mao. “Tsu?” She took her hands to her hips. “Well, I’m going to call you Mao from now on, then.” She immediately said, in a defying tone of voice, that honestly had a ring of teasing to it, too. Not many people called her Tsu, and she honestly didn’t mind, she just found surprising the girl would refer to her like that so quickly.
“Hmmm?” She finally got to answer what the girl was asking. “Sure! The Ashikaga Clan is always willing to help. Even though, just like you, I myself feel kind of helpless right now.” A sigh escaped the girl. However, Mao’s question to Ramma would probably give them some insight on what did the Mamemon want help with.
Except… “I should probably explain everything once we get out of here.” He answered, creasing his mouth, his arms crossed. “But Pike will be very glad to hear you’re going to help us!” The round creature tried to look around, studying the layout of their cage. “We should probably help our rescuers by finding a way of getting out of this place ourselves. That’d be a good start.”
“He… teleported?” Kissu studied the alien’s technique. It was rather impressive, and it had definitely taken the enemy by surprise. He seemed to be having trouble to unarm the giant penguin, so the elder decided to jump in and help… from a safe distance.
“Korobara!” She yelled, pointing her staff at Vemmon. Initially, he would probably feel absolutely nothing changed. However, the next time he tried to launch an attack on Daipenmon, he would find it would go through all of his defenses and he wouldn’t be able to stop it.
A confident grin appeared on Pike’s face, as he saw the mask shattering in front of him. However, the cold wind coming out of the monster's mouth sent him back, jutted far away from the enemy.
Running, Mitsuharu slashed the giant digimon from its left, going through its mid-section, with a brutal slash. “Itto-Ryu! Piercing Dragon!"

It hadn't occurred to Mao that she wasn't necessarily being respectful when referring to Tsukiko as Tsu--something the woman had taken note of and responded to in kind. "I didn't...Okay, I'm okay with that but also sorry about that, Tsu." The orange-haired girl scratched the back of her neck before she also gave a nod. "Well, my partnership is based largely off a really odd relationship with a dead alien but I'm willing to do whatever I can to help you hut, Ramma. Moving on..."
Mao knew for a fact that neither human could really do much right now. Tsukiko lacked her partners. Mao lacked Vemmon. However, Ramma...was a digimon. Ramma was also a Mamemon. Power...within a round body. An absolutely devastating potentiality. "...I think the best way out is finding a part of the cage we can consider 'weak' and having you punch it, Ramma. Or...Use a move. Anything."
The Daipenmon had made a huuuge mistake in letting Mitsuharu slip by him. Not only was he unable to effectively react in time, but the BushiAgumon's maneuver struck true and tore through him! Meanwhile, Vemmon managed to gain enough momentum swinging from Daipenmon's arm to throw himself at the penguin--arms first.
And thanks to Kissu? He also tore through the poultry. He teetered...and tottered...and fell over, almost agonizingly slow, with an audible "THUMP."
Vemmon peered around. "...I believe we stole the victory. Now what?"

With a soft shaking of her head, Tsukiko dismissed Mao’s apologies. “Do not mention it~. “ She responded. “I kind of like being called Tsu, actually.” Before she could say anything else, her attention shifted towards Ramma, who wanted to take an offensive approach on this caging they were suffering of.
The blue-eyed nodded at Mao’s suggestion. Her glassy partner was right, there weren’t really much they could do right now. Being partnerless and spiritless and all of that. “You look really tiny, though. What’s your power level, even?” Tsukiko’s mouth wrinkled.
Immediately, Ramma frowned, looking at Tsukiko a bit upset. “I’m a perfect-level digimon!” He stated, moving his (one could assume) clenched fist angrily. “So I’ll have you know I’m very powerful!” Immediately, he turned at Mao. “Mao~Ru! Lift me up and get me close to those bars.” He requested effusively.
The Ashikagas walked towards the unconscious giant penguin, who seemed unable to keep fighting. “I don’t think these are even real digimon.” Kissu glared at the monster, a bit dubious. “For some reason, the strength of enemies has been leveled in this world. That’s the reason why you two can defeat these types of digimon even though being rookies.” She explained.
“Oh, come on. You don’t have to thank me. I, the great Pike, am always willing to help.” The Thunderballmon had his arms crossed, boasting not too far from the group. “Why is he acting like he did everything?” Kissu muttered, a bit annoyed. It didn’t seem like Pike's intentions were bad. It was just that he was always trying to look like the hero.
Mitsuharu then looked around, confused. “Why isn’t the layout of this place changing like it did last time? Besides, this enemy is not disappearing.” He added, glaring at the Daipenmon. It could mean they hadn't finished that level just yet.
“That is strange.” In the horizon, the only thing that could be seen was still… “That tower is the only other thing around. Should we go there?” Kissu asked, looking at Vemmon.

"Gonna admit, it's a pretty nice nickname. I don't even have one of those, eheh." It was true--Both her siblings and herself were basically impossible to nickname. Yui, Shu, Mao... Moving on, Mao looked a bit surprised at Mamemon being a perfect-level Digimon. "...Alright! Okay, I believe you." The orange-haired pharaoh nodded, before she had to suppress a squee at Ramma's request.
Yeah, might not be really mature to squee at something that may help you stay alive, in truth. She kneeled to pick the Mamemon up and moved close to the bars, holding him at a distance that one could consider enough to get a good punch in on the metal. It was odd that Mao had once almost died to a Digimon of this level yet now she was holding one...that wanted to bust the bars up.
"I concur, Babamon. If these were real, we would have perished several times over. Again, in my case." Vemmon then turned his gaze towards where Pike was. He didn't really have the amount of fingers needed to do that...flipping the bird thing that humans could do, so he just shook his head.
"We're moving on towards the tower." Vemmon shouted, as he turned towards the ominous-looking structure. "Come on, Pike's likely going to catch up in a jiffy or be left behind." The alien added as he began walking towards the tower. He seemed determined.

“Well, I think Ramma just picked one for you.” It seemed like the small digimon didn’t have much trouble giving her a nickname right away, however… “Although it is not making your name any shorter.” It actually was making it larger, but oh well, it still sounded kind of cute.
“What do you mean ‘I believe you’!?” Ramma kept his arms crossed, looking at Mao still a bit angered. “Why wouldn’t you believe me?” Before he could keep arguing about this, the girl just lifted him up, getting him closer to the bars. “Hey! That tickles.” He started giggling upon feeling Mao’s hands around him. He tried to remain focused and locked his eyes onto the bars. “Okay… here I go…!” After making his right fist spin for a couple of seconds, the digimon unleashed an energy fist against the bar. The fist was charged with a glimmering light, generating even a small explosion upon contact with the metal. Tsukiko covered her face with her sidearm, while smoke spread around the cage.
Once Tsukiko uncovered her face, she would find Mao laying several meters behind her original position, still holding the small metallic ball. She seemed to be all right, but the recoil of the impact had probably jutted both of them behind. Was this why Ramma wanted someone to hold him? How strong was this digimon? Well, it had worked, part of the cage had broken.
Did he just say perished? Vemmon didn’t have any type of remorse to talk about death or killing or massacres. It was… definitely interesting. Kissu sighed. “My name is Kissu.” She clarified. What type of group of weirdos had the Ashikagas ended up with?
It didn’t take long for the group of ‘heroes’ to reach the giant structure that could be seen in the distance. It was almost like if the distances inside of this world were shorter than they appeared, just like in a videogame. When seeing it up close, they discovered this building made of stone they thought to be a tower originally, was actually… a castle. Like those that were supposed to hold princesses as prisoners in fairy tales.
A small wooden sign could be seen right next to a small bridge that lead to the castle’s entrance, going over a pit full of a purple substance. Kissu couldn't tell what it was, but it didn't seem safe to fall on it.
“Level 3.” Mitsuharu muttered, reading the sign written in digimoji. “Apparently, we’re very close to our princesses.” Pike raised his gaze, staring at the castle in front of them. It was very imposing.

"Well...It's a pretty easy name despite not at all being short. And I think the main reason someone wouldn't believe you is because...well. You're so tiny. And round! Only other perfect-level I've seen is a Gokuwumon that...uh. Was trying to burn me to death."
The explosion ended up making Mao shut her eyes as she got flung back a bit from the furious fist of the Mamemon. When the smoke cleared and Mao opened her eyes, all she could say was... "...Holy sh--...It's broken! ...Now who can fit through there?"
"Right. Kissu. Apologies." If anything? That lack of remorse was likely incredibly telling about Vemmon. When they had reached the tower proper...They found it was a castle.
It even had a moat and everything. "...I see. If we're close then we need to hurry. I did not like the cut of that voice from back in the meadow's jib. Dare I say, I feel worry for the princesses."
And worry, foreign as it was for Vemmon, was not okay. "Well. After you."
