"What the...?" Were the words that escaped Tsukiko's lips upon reading this in her D-Terminal. "Is something wrong, Sensei?" Mitsuharu asked, turning to face his master. With a soft shaking of her head, Tsukiko replied. "Well... My D-Terminal beeped, and I got this... odd message. Does spam exist in this world?" The girl asked, only to meet a very confused gaze from her samurai partner. "Spam?" The dinosaur blinked upon this statement. Of course he didn't know what that meant.
"Let me see that, dear." Kissu got closer to Tsukiko, the girl squatting to meet her height. The Babamon took a good look at the device's screen, tilting her head right after.
Of course, the elder member of the team would probably provide a mature and smart insight on the situation to come out with the best possible decision to...
"YES!" Welp. The old woman just pressed the button, the arrow over the 'yes' option. Right after, the D-Terminal started shinning. Before she could do anything, a white light blinded Tsukiko and she felt as if she lost consciousness.
When she came back to her senses, neither Mitsuharu or Kissu were around. Tsukiko found herself in a huge room, pretty much empty, except for a fairly big cage around the middle of the hall. The sucky part? She was inside of that cage! Extremely confused, her blue eyes tried to look for anything of interest around the cage. It didn't take them much to find a girl with glasses and bright orange hair, apparently asleep. Immediately crawling towards her, Tsukiko decided to poke her a little, to see if she could wake her up.
Of course, that wasn't the most well-mannered approach but... there was really no time for formalities!

The act of going in and out of the Digital World was very quickly becoming second nature for Mao Kita. Felt kind of like being a hero with an alter ego...Though, with the things Mao did sometimes, hero could be considered a bit of a stretch. At least her sister didn't suspect much, if anything. Yui would probably kick her ass if she found out about any of this.
So. Before Arcaria, Mao had been moving through Terminus City, getting herself more acquainted with everything before she heard something beep on her D-Terminal.
Welcome to the new age.
Enter the ideal world, where everyone is leveled, where everyone has the same chances!
Embark on an adventure to save a damsel in distress!

This was most definitely just spam mail. Spam mail that she hadn't been alone in reading. Vemmon manifested in his usual manner, by emerging from Mao's back, leaning over her shoulder and staring down at the message with his singular eye. "...This sounds entirely imbecilic. Stupid. Only a idiot would actually agree to this."
"So...we're not going to press yes...?" Mao slowly turned her head towards Vemmon's. "On the contrary. You would likely dismiss this before going to talk about on Tamernet like a boring girl. I, on the other hand, am a superior being, that also happens to be bored."
"...Vemmon you got your ass handed to you by a bat." "So did you." A rather embarrassing time for the both of them. And the last time Mao had ever agreed to allow Vemmon to try beating a Gaossmon up. After all, it was her body that he was sharing with her...So, naturally you have to make sure the parasi- alien didn't get you killed.
She tried to move the D-Terminal away before the Vemmon could put his claw on the 'yes' option...But, alas, she had been too late. And everything went white.
Mao had no idea how much time had elapsed before she had begun to regain consciousness. Something--someone poked her, and she jolted up with a EEP. Upon adjusting her glasses, her head peered to and fro, before she focused on Tsukiko. "WhoareyouwhyareyouherewhyamIhere?!" She pointed at her accusingly!

A bit startled by her prime reaction, Tsukiko crawled back a little, taking some distance from the orange-haired girl. “H-Hi…” She muttered. It seemed like the initial burp of words coming from her peer was over now, so it was time for Tsukiko to say something.
Now… what could she really say? She could only answer one of the three questions the girl made inside a single word. “My name is… Ashikaga Tsukiko.” And… that was pretty much it. “I don’t know why am I here, so of course I’ve got no clue of why are you here.” That made sense, didn’t it? “I’m sorry.” She added, after a brief pause. “Who are you?” She asked.
Maybe thinking about the last thing she could remember could help. “I was walking through the Railroad plains. Then I got this weird message in my D-Terminal and…” Tsukiko stopped talking for a second, just to throughout-ly analyze this girl’s clothing. “W-What are you wearing?” The blue-eyed meant more like WHY was she wearing that. This girl was wearing some sort of Egyptian outfit, like if she were some sort of pharaoh. She even had an Egyptian crown affixed to her head and a very flamboyant golden colored set of… armor, maybe?
Tsukiko yelled as she noticed her sleeves when she raised her arm to point at the girl. Her gaze then went down, to see she was wearing a long, pink dress. She looked like a traditional tale princess. “What the hell am I wearing!?” She asked, an emphasis on the “I”.
Meanwhile, both Mitshuharu and Kissu were walking through a very plain looking layout. It seemed like an infinite dark room, with only green lines drawn on the floor that indicated where to walk. Some mountains, also formed from green lines and black nothingness could be seen in the distance, but trying to go to them meant falling into a black endless pit and, since they didn’t know how that could end up, they just decided to follow the same path.
“It seems we were transported to some sort of digital space.” Kissu mused about the situation. “I do not know what would be the intention of whoever took us here through that message, though.” She added, while the duo kept walking.
“Before thinking on how to get out of here, we need to find Sensei.” Mitsuharu stated; a firm look on his face. Where could his partner be was all that he could wonder. Over a fairly big block, made of green lines and darkness too, he spotted a figure. “What is… that?” It seemed like… an alien?

It didn't take a genius to realize that Mao was incredibly startled at the moment, though she quickly took the time to calm herself, seeing Tsukiko's...there's no real way to put this aside from she was also startled. Taking a deep breath, she heard an answer to at least one of her questions. "I-I'm Kita Mao and I don't know why I'm here either. Uh...I-I'm sorry for snapping at you like that but I'm incredibly lost. I was in Terminus before all of this stuff with that message started too."
Wait, what was she wearing? Mao looked down to find that she was not in her usual clothes whatsoever. Heck, she looked like a pharaoh. A long, few tense moments of silence fell upon Mao as she looked at what Tsukiko was wearing. Why did -she- get the modest clothing? Mao herself looked red from embarrassment. "I-I'm not even Egyptian, though...So, what, am I supposed to be dead or something? Pharaohs are usually dead..."
She took a look at the princess dress and tried to remember what that message was. "...A damsel in distress...I think that's what...Wait..." She tried to find her D-Tector...Only to find that it...wasn't here? What?
Meanwhile, with Mitsuharu and Kissu's venture, they had come across...Vemmon. Vemmon, who was meant to be a spirit. A fragment of a long dead entity. Vemmon, a spirit who had been separated from his...His? No, it's precious vessel. It had been wandering this space for a few minutes, alone, and noted that the two below it had acknowledged it. Perhaps they were in a similar situation as it. Leaping into the air, it was briefly engulfed in purple energy before it blinked down.
"I come in peace. Identify yourselves." It stated as it got to it's feet and studied Mitsuharu and Kissu's movements with it's one eye. One could feel that it was...indignant at something. Separation, perhaps? [704/1000]

With a soft shaking of her head, Tsukiko’s dismissed Mao’s apologies. “Do not worry, I’m still pretty shocked too.” She then lowered her gaze as she listened to Mao’s words. “So the message in the D-Terminal is something we have in common.” She tried looking around but, sadly, there didn’t seem to be a way of leaving that cage. That door wouldn’t budge without a key.
A short giggle escaped Tsukiko after looking at her cellmate flustered expression regarding what she was wearing. “I don’t think you’re supposed to be dead! I think… we’re both supposed to be princesses. Just… different kinds of princesses.”
“That’s right!” This girl seemed to be smart. She had related their dresses with something about that message. Maybe it was the glasses. “The message did say something about a damsel in distress…” She then looked at her and Mao’s clothing again. “Do you think those are supposed to be us!?” If they paid attention, the girls could see another dress, this time of a green color, laying on one of the corners of their cage. It seemed like there was something beneath it.
It wasn’t like they had much time to ponder about it. At the eastern side of the room, a previously turned off screen lightened up, showing the image of a tiny digimon, whose whole body was covered by a dark coat.
It not only looked like an alien… it sounded like an alien too!
Mitsuharu and Kissu just stared at the creature. At first, their guard was up, but they slowly relaxed. It really seemed to come in peace.
“It isn’t exactly well-mannered to ask for someone’s name before giving your own, you know?” Kissu stepped up front, knocking her broom on the ground. “What kind of digimon is this, Kissu Grandma?” Mitsuharu asked, raising an eyebrow.
After taking a good look at the being, the elder replied. “This is a… Vemmon. It is a very strange kind of digimon. It’s been decades since I’ve seen one.” It wasn’t at all surprising Kissu knew. Mitsuharu had never seen her say she didn’t know a digimon’s species. Even though it was likely the day would come.
Well, not much to do but introducing themselves. “I’m Ashikaga Mitsuharu. And this is Ashikaga Kissu. We’re from the Ashikaga clan. Who are you?” The next question was very necessary. “Have you seen a human girl with pink hair around here?”
Just a second after this exchange, a sort of display appeared out of thin air. It seemed like a holographic screen where a small digimon with a coat could be seen.
“Oh! Oh! I can’t believe you’re finally here.” The digimon had a very child-like voice. He then cleared his throat to utter the next sentence. “Please, everyone, be welcome to… Arcaria.” A small pause ensued. He then continued. “This will be an amazing adventure, where you’ll become heroes, who must save our three damsels in distress, who had been kidnapped by the evil Lego! Please hurry up, before this evil villain hurts your princesses!” He was speaking with a sort of dramatic tone. “You’ll have to go through your three stages to then find those who you’re looking for! Good luck. And remember: In Arcaria, everything is possible!"
The image disappeared, and the stage around Mitsuharu, Kissu, and Vemmon began transforming into some sort of meadow that they had to go through.
For Tsukiko and Mao, the screen simply turned off again. Maybe this had worked as some sort of explanation? The blue-eyed waited for Mao’s interpretation of this, since she had proved to be rather intuitive.

Mao could understand the shock. After all, she was also in shock! "I thought it was spam and was gonna close it and...I can't really remember what happened after that. It's just a blur between there and now." Tsu's comment sort of baffled her, though. "I'm dressed as a pharaoh. That's...not really a princess. More like a king...Or queen. While I don't mind that...whoever did this needs to check something ou-...Oh geez...I don't even have my D-Tector or anything, so I can't access my spirit." They really were damsels in distress.
That was kind of frustrating. Mao's eyes caught the third dress. "...I guess? If the damsels are us then what's that over there?" She pointed at the corner.
"I have no name. I am simply Vemmon." It seemed that for the first time in a long while, perhaps a century or three, maybe a milennia, Vemmon was alive. Why this was, he was unsure. "We're, as far as I'm aware, not numerous in number. Ashikaga...What kind of clan? A clan of bandits? Samurai? I've seen no girls with pink hair. I seek one with an obnoxious pair of glasses and orange hair. If she even exists, still."
As much as he didn't like the fact he had to usually rely on Mao as a vessel, the girl was starting to grow on him. "...She's usually the vessel I'm in. Elated as I am with my freedom, the cost is unclear to me." The one-eyed alien elaborated before his eye turned to the screen.
"...Princesses? What kind of..." Vemmon stated as the stage turned into a meadow.
Mao was silent for a few moments before she came up with something. "...I'm gonna assume that the heroes are digimon and the villain's going to cut us in half or something if they fail." Speaking of... "...Do you have a partner? Or a spirit? Anything...?"

Being interrupted by the broadcast, Tsukiko had to wait for the end of it so they could go on with their conversation. “Oh.” She blinked, after hearing this brief explanation coming from Mao regarding pharaohs. “You’re actually right.” Still sitting on the ground, the pink haired girl rubbed the back of her neck while she mused about the matter once again. “I think that tells us whoever did this, doesn’t have much of a clue about these types of things. Which doesn’t surprise me coming from a digimon.” “Y-Yes! I have a digimon partner. He and the other member of my clan should be looking for me.” She then reached a realization by herself. “Could it be that our partners are the heroes looking for u-“ The girl interrupted herself after realizing what Mao had just said just before asking that. “Oh my god!” She instinctively covered her eyes with both hands. “That’s awful! I hope he doesn't do that to us!” How could this girl say those scary things with such ease? “D-Tector? Spirit? Oh! Could it be… you’re a spirit wielder!?“ Tsukiko's attention drifted away from the awful image of them being cut in half, luckily.Well, that actually left them with a single question that could find its answer right now. What was that thing below the green dress? “I’ve got no clue…” Tsukiko crawled towards the piece of cloth this time and with a quick pull revealed…
Simply Vemmon, huh? Well, easy to remember, at least. “We’re a clan of warriors. I suppose you could also call that a Samurai Clan.” Mitsuharu explained, still studying their surroundings. “Apparently it is the day of looking for humans with odd hair colors.” Kissu let go a giggle. “I’m sorry, but we hadn’t seen your girl either." “The vessel?” The samurai asked, visibly confused. “Could it be that…?” Kissu immediately reached the conclusion, considering how it made sense for this digimon to not be… actually alive. “… you are a spirit?”
There was no more time for conversation. This meadow seemed endless! And there was something actually materializing in front of them as they spoke. What appeared not too far from the group was a pretty horrifying sight: a gigantic green-skin warrior with a massive axe and red hair. “What the…?” Mitsuharu placed one hand on the handle of his blade. “Is this our first enemy in our quest?”Slowly, the monster started moving towards them, taking his weapon out. Kissu looked much more scared than the Bushi Agumon. “Mitsu…” She muttered, startled at the sight. “This is… a Mega level digimon!”
A small ball-like digimon popped out of the dress as soon as Tsukiko moved it, appearing in front of both girls. “WhoareyouwhyareyouherewhyamIhere?!” His eyes wide open, the creature just started at the humans, before starting to look around, completely confused. “There’s a digimon in here!” Tsukiko pointed at the creature. He had a metallic appearance, a round form and red gloves on his hands. He was actually… kind of cute. “Weren’t digimon supposed to be the saviors?" “What are you talking about!?” He had a sweet, child-like voice. “What is going on?” He then looked below, to see the dress he was actually wearing. “What is this!?” Tsukiko sighed, maybe letting Mao do the explanations could be a good idea? As much as she could explain, considering they didn’t have much of a clue of what was going on either. Word Count: 1925/1000

It took Mao a moment or two to realize what she had just said. "...Oh, uh, shoot, sorry about that." She should probably keep less lurid company, in truth. Though, Vemmon was impossible to just get rid of. "Maybe he won't. I'm not...all too sure." What if that's why this outfit showed her midriff off? Oh geez! "And...yes, that's apparently what they're called. I just thought I had voices in my head and that I was going crazy...Except there's apparently others just like me? So...if your partners are out there, maybe Vemmon's out there too in some form."
That thought was unsettling. Vemmon had used their 'agreement' to do some awful things to the deserving. If he was out there, then that meant that for now, he lived. Again. A very unsettling thought.
"Yes. Vemmon. No other epithet. That's rather disappointing. Yes, before this, I was very much dead. A spirit. Yet I live now. It is because I live that I worry for my vessel." Vemmon would have gone further into detail about this, but the sight of a Boltmon appearing ahead of them quickly stole his attention.
Again, he was faced with a being that was far stronger than he could be at the time. "Confound it all with these accursed obstacles. What's next, the damned family of monkeys coming to make my day tangibly worse? Enemy or not. It's in my way." Vemmon snarled, immediately sprinting forward to engage the Boltmon. "EAT MY NON-EXISTENT SHORTS." It cried as it leapt into the air, blinked forward towards the Boltmon, and tried to ram it's claws right into its big green chest!
...This Digimon that Tsukiko found struck a chord in Mao. "...This one's really cute...Uh. I wanna say that they're supposed to be the saviors but now I'm really not so sure." Mao found herself feeling a little sorry for this little guy. "...Weeee're being held captive by some weird Digimon in a coat and hoping our allies aren't going to botch this terribly. Also, we're dressed up weirdly and I feel cold. Any questions?"

“Wait…!” Kissu raised one hand, just as a reflex, upon seeing the development things had taken. This alien was just jumping against a mega-level digimon, trying to harm him. And what did he just say about monkeys, even?
“I guess we’ve got no option then.” Mitsuharu tsk’d before starting to run and take his own leap towards the creature. “Get… this!” He made an emphasis in that last word as he tried to slice the monster. Once both the alien and the samurai landed to both sides of the opponent, the most surprising outcome was that… it actually worked! “What?” Kissu was completely astonished. Did these two actually harm a Mega? The green monster was screaming in pain, and data was coming out of his wounds as if it was blood.
The gigantic creature shook his head. Uh-oh, time for a counterattack. Charging up his fist with electricity, Boltmon smashed the ground right in front of him, creating an explosion that would send both Vemmon and Mitsuharu away, shattering the ground. The samurai rolled in the ground; at first, his vision was kind of dizzy from the attack, but he managed to slowly stand up, using his sword.
“Mitsuhan! Are you okay?” Kissu asked, fairly worried. How could he be standing up after such attack? The elder was getting more and more confused by the minute. The wounds in the huge green warrior’s chest that they had just produced were still visible. Maybe that was a weak spot? It would probably be a good idea to go for that same wound in their next charge.
The small metallic sphere with globes frowned. “C-Cute!?” Two small balls formed below his huge eyes. Was he… puffing his cheeks? Tsukiko just blinked, blatantly staring at the creature. “The saviors? Wait… who locked us in here? Pike and I just received a very weird message in the laboratory’s D-Terminal, and that’s the last thing I can remember! Where is Pike?” He then tried to take the dress off but… it was as if it was stuck.
Of course Tsukiko was not planning to take hers off anyways, but apparently, even if they tried, they couldn’t. Not like Mao was too far from being naked herself, though. “Agh! I have several questions! Who are our allies? And who are you two!?”
The pink-haired girl just let everything play out, staring at the digimon. It was better if Mao just continued the conversation herself; it wasn’t like Tsukiko could add much information to this matter anyways.
