Justice held his head down, eyes on the ground with his phone next to his ear, on the phone with someone. Classes let out thirty minutes ago and it had been an unusually cold day. Lifting up his head and looking to the distance, the city was covered in a thick blanket of white, making it almost blinding when the sun reflected off of it. While traversing Cat Street, one of the first places he visited when coming to school here in Japan, Justice wanted to get a quick bit to eat before going off to the Digital World to get some materials for his grappling hook he had been working on for the past two weeks, wanting to have a little free time before studying a Calculus test that's next week But it looks like he won't be able to due to this phone call.
"Yes... Yeeeees I'm fine mom." he said, keeping the phone close to his ear. Vee and Gummy, who were in their respective bags, slowly peak their heads out to eavesdrop into the conversation. Justice kept the phone close to his ear as he was a block from Kuma Café, passing through people waiting in line at the movie theater.
"If you want to visit me that's fine, I don't care. No- No mom, I haven't got into any trouble. Where are you getting these things from. --That was one time when I was twelve mom! Ok. Ok. NO! Oh no, your ...ingal is.. ropping. I'll call you when I... good reception." Justice looked at his phone and pressed 'End'. He sighed as he leaned against a wall.
Veemon looked at him, his ear twitching. "She only worries, ya'know."
Justice sighed, "She's so bitchy. She asked like three million different questions and always bringing up stupid shit. I'm too busy to get to any trouble since this test is coming up next week."
"Hey, I bet some grub will cheer you up since we're going to the Digi World this evening." Gummy said, pointing at Kuma Café that was right across the street from them. Justice checked his bank account on his phone to see how much money he has. It showed that he had enough for a meal.
"All right, but try to not order too much you two. The last time you did we were left eating cafeteria food for two weeks before my next payday."
"Sure, sure." the two replied. Gummy gave his brother a wink as they walked to the café. To Veemon, he was gonna make him broke again.

Yaaaawn... For once, I'm glad classes are over today... didn't get much sleep last night... was what the holosuited Gatchmon thought as he walked through the hallways of Shibuya Academy, attempting to get to his dorm room. He had a lot of homework the previous night before, and he spent all night doing the research and trying to get all his homework done absolutely perfectly. Time would tell whether it was worth it or not, but right now Chenjin was pretty sleep-deprived.
When he got back to his dorm he switched to his normal "clothes" via holosuit and swapped to his usual blue scarf, white long-sleeve shirt and black pants combo, with grey shoes for an extra bonus. He didn't want to nap, but he also felt a bit tired still, so Chenjin decided to check out this Koma Cafe place he had heard his classmates talk about. As he walked out the door, it never occurred to him that he forgot to put on his DRM...
When getting to Cat Street, Chenjin noticed the atmosphere of the Koma Cafe. It was... very peaceful. Only a few customers were there at the moment, including a human with a dark skin tone- wait, what? Humans came in other skin tones?! Well, yeah, of course they do, but Chenjin thought Japan only consisted of those with light skin tones! He must've been a foreigner!
...no, wait, humans found it offensive to obsess over their skin color like that. Calming down a bit, Chenjin sat down in a booth and gave his order- a double expresso coffee and some rice and curry- and as he waited, he decided to read his book in the meantime. A very fascinating tale, about wizards and a sport called Quidditch?

Justice walked into the café and noticed that the place had a positive vibe going on. Not that anything important was happening, but something about coming here puts him in good mood, way much of a good mood compared to when he was on the phone with his mom. Before he could find a seat, he had to stretch for a bit. Carrying the twin Digimon wherever he go was slowly waning on his back. He can't have that if he wants to continue having a good posture. He looked around to see if there was a booth that was hidden to the public eye so that his two Digimon can come out to eat; nothing. Then, an idea pop up; something that he bought in the Digital World, but forgot he had. He slipped into the bathroom and seeing that there was no one in the bathroom at the moment, opened the two bags and let Vee and Gummy out.
"What's wrong? Why'd you let us out." Vee said as he did leg stretches.
Gummy quickly concur. "I hope you don't plan for us to eat in here. And if this is how you humans eat if there's no seats available, then my opinion of your fine taste in dining has lessened."
Justice gave the purple dragon a crazed expression before continuing. "No that's not it. I forgot that the last we were in the Digital World, I programed a V-Pet into the D-Watch." He took it out to showed it to them on the device. "With this, then I don't have to carry you guys all the time with two bags because frankly, that was getting strenuous on me."
The two brothers stared at the device a little longer with skepticism on their face before putting their hands on it. The two were then turned to streams of white light and then sucked into the D-Watch.
"Guys, guys can you hear me." he asks; no response. Justice started to wonder if the program was legit or not before a response was heard.
"Thank Homeostasis, this is sooooo much better than your bag." said Gummy
"I know, right?" replied Vee, "Now I can do some sparring while you're hitting the books. Now if only you can send food in here..."
Justice rolled his eyes and stepped out of the bathroom and sat by a nearby booth. " Heh, as long as you two are comfortable, I'm Gucci." Justice started to look at the menu before Gummy interrupted him.
"Oh and FYI, I smelled a Digimon in here before we walked in."
"What the- why didn't you two tell me?" he angrily whispered into the watch
"Because stomach first, important stuff later."

Chenjin didn't notice it when he initially walked in, but there was something more off than usual with that human he was interested in than usual. He... sensed something, if that was the right word. It was the kind of sensation that he only ever felt when he was in the Digital World, with his friends and parents.
Did that mean that he was with Digimon? Or possibly, WAS a Digimon?!
That's why Chenjin looked at the human suspiciously when he went into the bathroom, and came out lacking that same sense. Putting his good listening skills to the test, Chenjin decided to eavesdrop on the human from his booth. For some reason, he began to talk to his... watch?
Is he okay? ...and what does "gucci" mean?
And just like that, Chenjin froze up when he heard a voice say that it sensed a Digimon. This person was the only source of a Digimon that the disguised Digimon could sense, so that meant one thing: he forgot to turn his DRM on this morning. Panicking slightly, Chenjin just went back to his book, hoping that they'd just forget about it.

Justice started to look around the café while sitting at the booth. There was no reason to get up and look frantically around the restaurant. So far there was nothing out of the ordinary, only patrons who were either enjoying their meal, reading, or doing work on their laptop. He scratched his head, was there really a Digimon here, or was Gummy playing him like a fiddle? He look down to his D-Watch, Gummy's head was projected as sprites. If there was one thing, the V-Pet program sure does pull his nostalgia video games aesthetic up.
"Yeah ha ha, dude," he said stiffly. "I'm looking around and there's no one out of character. You sure your senses aren't on the fritz because you're hungry?"
Gummy snorted through the watch. "Of course not! My nose is impeccable when it comes to finding things!"
Justice rolled his eyes. "You suuuuure? Because hunger always dampens your other senses, Gummy."
"HEY! WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT CALLING ME BY THAT STUPID NICKN-"
Gummy's sprite was quickly replaced with Vee's. Justice started to hear the purple dragon muffling, telling him that Vee was keeping his mouth shut.
"Nope, he's right," he replied. "There's a Digimon here in this café. They're probably wearing that holosuit that Levi wore when we met Alan but..."
Justice raised his eyebrow. "But what?"
"It's a different kind of scent; something familiar, yet different." He paused. "I think it's a Digimon that either of us has never seen before."
Justice's curiosity started to peak. A new Digimon? That's something you don't see everyday, but why was it here? He looked around the booth again, surely whoever's disguised as a human was not evil or planning any malicious intent, but it doesn't hurt to be sure. The last thing he wants right now is a fight.

Oh no, they weren't letting this go. Now the human was starting to look around the restaurant. It was only a matter of time before he was found out and sent back to the Digital World. If he managed to get through today, he would NEVER forget his DRM when he went out.
The goal now was to just get out of there before they found out what Chenjin was. Paying the amount of Yen for his meal, he slowly got up and made his way towards the door. Chenjin's heart was racing as he made his way towards the exit. He was so close! He could make it! He could-
Nope, Chenjin tripped over a chair and landed face-first onto the cafe's tiles. "OWIE!" Chenjin screamed as he managed to pick himself up. Unfortunately when Chenjin fell, his holosuit deactivated slightly before reactivating. If Justice saw that, then he would immediately know that Chenjin was a Digimon...

Damn. If the Digimon wasn't wearing a holosuit this was be much easier. Justice looked around the entire restaurant twice and there was still nothing out of the ordinary. That holosuit technology is a real piece of work, it almost made Justice decide if he want to get one for both Vee and Gummy. Na. They wouldn't like it at all, especially Gummy. Besides the V-Pet was more than enough so Justice can go about his daily business without carrying two conspicuous Digimon that stick out like a sore thumb.
His train of thought was interrupted when he heard the yelp of someone from a couple of booths near him. It was a red-headed boy, and from the look of their clothes, he was a school student. He seemed to have tripped over a chair. Justice was about to walk over their to help him out, but then he something weird, like, really weird. His entire body started to...glitch?
'Bingo.' he thought to himself. But instead of going up to him and saying "Hey you're a Digimon" like an obvious dumbass, he walked up to the boy and extended a hand to him, wanting to play dumb.
"You alright my guy?" he said to him. "That was quite a nasty fall there."

When Chenjin first came to the human world, he immediately realized just how clumsy he truly was. Every day he trips or slips or bumps into something without fail, and today was no different. Well, other than the fact that Chenjin was aware to the fact that someone was trying to look for him, and that big fall didn't help any.
The disguised Digimon brought his head back up to see the human asking Chenjin if he was alright. Chenjin's eyes widened as he shot back up like a rocket. "Y-Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. I'm just kinda clumsy, y'know?"
Oh no, he's gonna see right through me... if he finds out what I am, he'll have me sent back for sure. I need to create some kind of distraction... but what?
"...Oh my god, what is that!?" Chenjin immediately shouted, pointing right at the window that was behind Justice. When Justice turns around to look, that would be when Chenjin bolted out of the cafe, hoping to just go somewhere else to go and eat dinner.

He was filled with a relief when the boy reassured him he was alright. It reminded him on how clumsy he was back then. Heck, one time while at school, he forgot to tie his shoe and tripped down a flight of stairs, scattering all his papers and textbooks throughout the stairwell. The boy then shouted and pointed behind him, which caused Justice to look back. When he did, their was only a window. When he turned back around the boy bolted off the café.
"So I suppose that's the Digimon in question, huh?" Veemon asked in a cheeky tone. Gummy started to chuckle a bit. Justice only rolled his eyes in response, picking himself back up.
"Tch! Whatever," he responded back, watching the Digimon split off, "He didn't have to run, I only wanted to talk to him."
"So what now?"
"See now he just made himself suspicious. And now, we chase him."
With that said, Justice ran out of the arcade, chasing the disguised Digimon through the crowd.

What an idiot you are Chenjin, running just makes you seem more like you're hiding something! Chenjin bitterly thought to himself as he ran through Cat Street. This is just like what happened with Tadayoshi! You gotta stop thinking every Tamer just wants to send you home!
Out of curiosity, Chenjin looked behind him and saw that the human was indeed chasing after him. Okay! Nevermind! All Tamers do want to send you home! Just run! Run! RUN!
Eventually Chenjin ran right into an alleyway that was just off of Cat Street before he fully realized what he was doing was stupid. He stopped in the middle of the alleyway and let the Tamer catch up to him. When he did, Chenjin would turn to him and look at the human right into the eye. "I don't want to hurt you," Chenjin says, right before deactivating his holosuit and revealing his true form, a Gatchmon.
"But if you even think about sending me back, I will hurt you." When he said this, electricity could be seen coming from the tips of Chenjin's claws.

Justice dashed to the other side of the street, making sure he didn't bump into anyone while chasing the red headed boy; who is now the Digimon he suspected. He noticed there were two construction workers carrying a window in his way. Not wanting to go around it, he used his hands to jump across the table, not losing his momentum in the process.
"Sorry!" Justice yelled back to them, focusing on the target straight ahead.
As the Digimon led them to an alleyway, Justice decided to slow down and recalibrate the V-Pet on his D-Watch, trying to find how to release Vee and Gummy from the device before accidently pressing a button, letting the two out in a flashing light.
"Take to the rooftops, and do not engage until I give a signal."
The two twins nodded in agreement and climbed up to buildings that gave a clear opening of the alleyway. With that done, Justice jogged a bit until he caught up to him.
"Woah." he responded, surprised that the Digimon revealed his true form. He looked like a cat with white fur, yellow eyes, but with metallic limbs. He sported a red helmet and a magnifying glass. Cute in appearance, Justice was quickly reminded that this Digimon was serious about fighting him as sparks surrounded his claws. Cautious, he put his hands up, letting him know he was not dangerous.
"Hold on, send you back where, he questioned in a cautious tone, "I just want to talk."

Chenjin was not intending on hurting anyone; he just assumed that making his claws spark would scare the human away from even getting near him. Chenjin had worked too far to move to Shibuya to live with the humans, and wasn't going to be sent back by a Tamer anytime soon. Thankfully, the human didn't seem to want to fight at all, or even know what Chenjin was talking about.
"So... so you aren't going to send me back to the Digital World?" Chenjin asked. Suddenly his claws stopped sparking and a big grin appeared on his face, happily walking right up to the human as if absolutely nothing had just happened. "Hi there! My name is Sir Chenjin, but my human alias is Chenjin Takada! What's your name?" It must have been really confusing for the human to see Chenjin act like this after what happened before.
After the human would introduce himself, Chenjin's eyes suddenly widened. "Oh! I almost forgot, I wanted to do this as soon as I saw you walk in! Deep Search!" He pulled his magnifying glass in front of his eye and stared at Chenjin, searching the internet on humans. "Ooh, so you're a type of human called an 'African-American', a species of human that has seen a lot of bad things throughout Earth's history! Truly interesting!"
It was clear to the human just what kind of Digimon Chenjin was... Chenjin used Deep Search on Justice

"Not at all my guy. You've done nothing to make me even consider that." Justice replied to the small Digimon. He made a sigh of relief when the electricity around his claws stopped sparking. He gave Digimon a wry smile as he approached him. If he was not here to cause any trouble, then why did he assumed that he was going to send him back to the Digital World.
"The name's Justice. Nice to meet you." He took a knee so that Chenjin could be at equal eye level. Well almost anyway since he was still bigger than . He tilted his head in confusion as what the Digimon said. "Do what?" he questioned, before Chenjin used his magnifying glass to scan him. He looked at him with confused awe.
"Well, technically African-Americans are an ethic group of Americans whos ancestors hailed from Africa, but you're right about the latter though." After the Digimon attached his magnifying glass on his helmet, Justice couldn't help but wonder what a Digimon is doing here in Shibuya of all places by himself. He seemed to be used to the human environment due to that holo-suit. "So what brings you here to our world? Traveling or something?"
Above the two of the, Vee and Gummy were standing on top of the railing of an emergency staircase overlooking them from a distance. The two both squinted their eyes as they couldn't make out what the two were talking about.
"What do you think they're saying?" asked Gummy.
"I have no idea," replied Vee who gave his brother a cautious glace, "But whoever that Digimon is, I bet he's waiting for Justice to drop his guard to get the jump on him."
"You sure? because it looks to me they're just talking."
"Of course I'm sure! I mean just look at his eyes! Those golden eyes are just looking at him... menacingly!"
Gummy rolled his eyes at him. "Whatever, man." He couldn't believe what he was hearing.

Chenjin shook his head at Justice's question. "Nope! This place is my new home! I have been studying the human world and their culture for years now, truly fascinating information too! It took my mama and papa a couple years before they agreed to let me attend school in Shibuya, so now here I am!" It might have seemed weird for a Digimon to wanna live with humans, but that was just how Chenjin rolled.
Before more questions could be asked, Chenjin sensed those Digimon again. He looked up onto the roofs and saw a blue and a purple figure standing on one of them. Chenjin sees now... this Justice was just bait, so that the Digimon could pounce on him and drag him back to Whitewater.
Well, Chenjin wasn't fooled at all.
"I see your Digimon up there, Justice," Chenjin said, backing up a little bit. "I'm onto your plan; you were just bait so that I'd be distracted, and those two Digimon would jump down on me, and you'd send me back! Well I'm not falling for it!"
Maybe it was a little suspicious for the Digimon to be spying from the rooftops...

Justice widen his eyes at the Digimon's response. There were so many thing he just learned in that dialogue alone. It was alien to him that a Digimon could have a life here as well as the Digital World. And how the heck can a Digimon have parents? The last time he checked, Digimons were born from eggs, therefore having no biological parents...unless there was something about the Digital World he didn't knew about. So far this Digimon was something else.
Before either of them could continue, Chenjin spotted both Vee and Gummy near the rooftop. In response, Vee and Gummy accidently slipped off the railing since they didn't suspect the Digimon would find them so easily. Gummy, remembering he has wings, easily kept himself afloat and landed gracefully on the ground. Vee on the other hand, landed face first into a garbage bin.
"Smooth move, trash boy." Gummy said, crossing his arms. He turned to Justice with a cheeky eye. "So what now? Do we fight em'?
Justice only responded with taking his glasses off and putting a hand over his face in response, not believing what had just happened right there.
"Yeah... let's pretend that didn't happen." he said in a low disappointing tone. He turned his attention towards Chenjin. "No man, we're not trying to send you back, honest. These two were just up because I thought you were about to cause trouble, and well... for my safety. But really man, does it look like I have a portal on me or something?" He unzipped his jacket and flaunted it to reveal he had nothing on him. He even emptied his pockets and showed him his bag as insurance that what he said was the truth. "I mean you seem like a nice Digimon, so I don't want to start on the wrong foot.
