Job: Rosewood Town Job E - Bringing Life to the Town
Juliet had never been more delighted to be in the Digital World than at this very moment. Most of her experiences here had been brief at best or otherwise unnerving with no knowledge of what anything was. Digimon was simultaneously insanely amazing in their design and quite scary at the same time. Some of the Digimon that resembled Insects always tended to startle her a bit, but so did the massive fire breathing dragons that would have otherwise terrified her as well. Yet, she knew that most of them meant her no harm as long as she stayed inside relative civilization.
Rosewood was an absolutely beautiful town that she had immediately fallen head over heels for within just mere moments upon entering. The buildings weren't made for someone like her in mind but she couldn't care in the slightest. It was perhaps the most beautiful thing she had seen in the entire world, let alone just the Digital World. Her partner Choromon simply ran alongside her on the ground, rushing around in the bright environment almost as he had never seen such greenery before. He explored every nook and cranny, rushing around like a child hyped on sugar as he sparked in delight.
After merely an hour of exploring, she had found a simple poster hanging on one of the many buildings. That very next day an art festival was about to occur in the town to give the place a bit more life and festivities. Juliet's eyes widened extremely as she smiled. An art festival? She couldn't physically resist the opportunity. Meeting with potentially hundreds of other artists from both worlds, comparing and critiquing each other's art? It was almost like a dream come true. Turning around, she quickly began to make her way back towards the Trailmon that had brought her here, to begin with. "Come on Choromon, we got to prepare!"
He was, of course, confused, being way too far down on the ground to even notice the sign, but tagged along immediately anyways, an invisible smile on his face as he realized just how excited Juliet seemed to be. She always gave more back rubs when she was happy like that. Choromon quickly tagged alongside her, easily climbing up the wheelchair to sit directly onto her lap.
Juliet had spent all night preparing and even still she didn't quite feel like she had prepared quite enough. The next morning when she arrived she simply couldn't believe what she saw. Digimon of all shapes and sizes, as well as various humans scattered about, were absolutely all over the place. It was almost like she had stepped into a dream world of her own making. People painting just like her, to drawing or even carving statues with their claws with incredible ease out of wood. A few people were even singing songs with instruments she had never seen before, passing out food to various attendees that she had also never seen before, but it smelled good. Carrying a foldable easel and several canvases on her lap, as well as her painting supplies in her backpack, she immediately set right up in front of a tree and began to get to work.
She was practically shaking where she sat from pure excitement as she began to layer the canvas in liquid white to make her first planned painting work even better. A simple landscape picture would definitely be a good call for the first picture but it might even be the only picture she makes that day. There were so many flowers and intricate detail in what she saw all around her that Juliet could easily spend a whole day just focusing intently on one image. In the end, she decided that wouldn't exactly be a bad thing.
Occasionally a few Digimon would block her view, but it was usually no big deal. However, one time a particular Triceramon blocked her view for a good five minutes, but they just seemed to be having fun themself so she couldn't exactly blame them too much. Choromon however, seemed angry about the massive shadow he was casting. Poor guy, the dark just made him sleepy. She was quick to dismiss him to go play amongst the rest of the other baby Digimon running around as she continued to work.
Nearly 3 hours had passed, and she was finally comfortable with her first piece of work. From her angle, she simply painted a picture of the very town itself. From it's beautiful greenery to the amazing architecture that just seemed to blend in amongst the background. Or at least, it seemed that way in how she tried to interpret it in her artwork. If one didn't know there were buildings within her picture, they might simply gloss over them and simply look at the intense detail she poured into each and every single flower. It was almost therapeutic in a way, painting art just for fun with dozens of other people, knowing the whole town was going to benefit from this.
She slowly sat the painting aside to dry in the sunlight, hoping that no one else would accidentally bump into it. Regardless, she didn't feel the desire to sign it, even. It almost had a bit more mystery to it if she didn't, just an anonymous gift to the town trying to grow as a safe haven for Digimon young and old. Perhaps... If she didn't have a life and an apartment to pay rent for, she wouldn't even mind living in a place like this. As she began to prep her second canvas a thought began to pop into her head. Maybe it wouldn't be such a perfect place. From her understanding, none of the buildings had any elevators or easy access ramps. Regardless, it was still a pretty sight.
With a soft smile, she turned back around to find that Choromon had grown tired from running around and zipping like a madman all over the place. Juliet laughed, gently reaching down to rub a finger down his back. "How in the world did you get blue paint all over you?" She spoke as he simply sparked his tail in response, curling up right underneath the tree in its shade. It was truly a wonder what she ever did without knowing about this beautiful place and her forever partner. No matter who came and went in her life, that cute little guy was bound to her for life. The thought made her quite happy, nevertheless. She would clean him up later, other blue paint bits would be found all over her home within a matter of minutes.
Back at her craft, Juliet spent the entire rest of the day working as she did best. People occasionally came by to chat but she eventually always just returned to her painting instead of exploring what everyone else did. Sure, she assumed they were all just as lovely if not even better than what she could do. However, it was a matter of pride. She would finish each and every one of her canvases before going to explore, painting a bit of an abstract rose for her second canvas and finally a rather pretty apple tree just starting to bloom. That one especially was just for her sake. Let people wonder why the artist had drawn what she did, let the creative thinking bloom early.
And whenever she was finally done, her paintings all dry, she carefully handed them in for donation with an extremely wide smile on her face. It was getting late and a part of her really wanted to explore Rosewood just right before sunset hit, when the sunlight would fade over the trees with that soft orange glow. Why couldn't all of the Digital World look like this? Paradise. If only.
