"Mm, I'd like that! We can figure that out at some point." That seemed fun enough - and heck, even mom had made a trip to the human world, as a Viximon. "Yeah, I'd imagine I'd at least like to be able to walk... hm. I'll have to go to Terminus and see what they have for holosuits."
Though that begged the question, how would Syre look as this 'faux-human'? Maybe it would be better to ask Amelie for advice about it. That aside, Amelie seemed a bit proud of Syre's choice to be a field ranger. "Mhm, I want to join the Knights, at least for a while. Get some experience doing something 'similar' to what I want to do before going out on my own?" She didn't want to stay under K's wing forever - but wow, Syre was already looking so far out into the future!
Even though Syre guessed, the sip caught her a bit by surprise, detecting that bitter taste of alcohol hidden under the velvety, sweet mix. It was definitely easy enough to drink, though Syre's ear twitched at Amelie's words. "Heh, I don't mind it - just, um, not used to this sort of stuff." She gave a small chuckle: "Mom's an absolute lightweight with this stuff, so I've never really tried it. Don't think I'll be having more than a glass..."
The cat gave a blink, looking at the label - seeing the label of a winery in Whitewater. "This must be recent, though? I mean, did 'wine' come from our world or yours?"

The plan was there, then! The two would visit the Human World together; eventually, that is! Amelie's reaction at the development was, of course, very positive. "Sounds like a plan to me. No better way to explore that world than with a guide as proficient as me."
To say the least, the topic of holosuits was interesting as well. It always intrigued the brunette. What criteria did they use for picking their human forms? That was always interesting to see. "Anything in mind? I've heard that they are accepting customs designs now, so I can draw something for you if you have something specific in mind."
She wouldn't permit Syre to look anything less than her absolute best, if she had anything to say about it! The teenager wouldn't settle for anything less than causing envy in the heart of all the girls around her. Annnyway!
Joining the knights seemed like an obvious thing to do, considering her situation. Whether temporal or permanent, that would be up to her, but, just as the brunette had mentioned before, a good deal of those objectives aligned. "I'm sure that you'll get plenty of experience there, unless K decides to be overprotective or something. But I trust on your ability to handle her if that ever happens, so it shouldn't be that much of an issue."
It was a good thing that Syre hadn't minded the small surprise, either. Especially when the main dish was well on its way! Regarding the bottle's origins? Amy hadn't quite thought about it. "It's a good thing you're not your mom, then. I have no idea where this one comes from, though. Just saw it on the menu, then ordered it." She ended her statement with a shrug. And just in time for their food to arrive.
"Guess that we can ask later, if you're curious about it. Let's dig in!" That was a bit of an overstatement, considering how the girl seemed to be a pretty slow eater; almost if taking the necessary time to savor each bite before moving to the next.

"Um..."
Huh, a holosuit design? Syre hadn't thought of that before, spending just a few seconds thinking it over before shaking her head. "Any help you could give is appreciated - honestly, the only humans I've really seen are those in the library and a handful I've been on missions with. And I don't want to end up looking exactly like one of you, you know?"
So, really, Amelie had free reign with the design. Whether or not that was a good thing for Syre remained to be seen, but regardless...
... Anyway, yes, joining the Knights was high on Syre's list, though her ear twitched a bit at Amelie's comment. "Honestly, that is a bit of a concern. K... mom means well, but it feels like she's trying to put the weight of the world on her shoulders sometimes. I mean, of course she is, why would she have done something like start the Knights otherwise?" She gave a sigh. "But I've been practicing for it, and hopefully she'll see me for what I can do rather than, well, just as her daughter?"
And yes, she didn't mind the wine, though she gave just a shrug at Amelie's comment. "I guess we'll see how far away the apple falls from the tree." K was a lightweight, whereas Mikemon could handle himself with it. With the food on the table, Syre would give an appreciative nod to the waiter, before figuring out how to use the tools in front of her well enough with those gloves. A quick cut and a taste later, Syre gave a smile.
"Oh, that's good." Lightly fried, good herbs - probably mostly beyond Syre's comprehension, but it was good! She paced herself, and for the next few minutes, well, they'd be busy eating!

No idea, huh? Well, that'd make things all the more interesting. "I guess a shopping trip is due now, huh? I'm sure we'll find at least an overall appearance that'll strike your fancy!"
And, just then, the true journey would begin. In fact... "Would you like to do anything in specific once we got to the Human World? Barring what I proposed, I'd like to know if you're curious about anything about it, or if you'd like to ask any questions! Of course, there's still a fair bit of time until we get there, but I can't say I'm not excited about it!"
That was one of the many topics the duo had boarded while sitting on that table. The other? It wasn't quite as easy. How could it be, when it had to do with a mother-daughter relationship? "I think you'll be able to prove your point if you're firm on your convictions. I mean! You already did that with the good Doctor, didn't you? She may be a bit more... thick-headed, but I'm sure that she'll understand that you're your own being now and that you are perfectly capable of blazing a trail for yourself. If somebody can do it, it's you."
The food was good, and the company was even better. Yet, the evening had to end in some way, right? Eventually, their dinner was done, a satisfied expression adorning Amelie's face. "Well, that's where my plans for the night end, more or less! Do you want to have a dessert, or have any other plans in mind...?"
If she didn't that was okay, anyway. The meeting, while relatively short, had served its purpose; and that couldn't mean the couldn't hang out for a bit more before the eventual separating. All in all, the evening had been very pleasant.

"Something specific? Auntie, everything there is going to be pretty much new to me!" Syre stifled a chuckle, taking a moment to seriously consider Amelie's question. What did she want to see, specifically? "Though I guess I've never asked, what do you do on the other side?" A few in the Library had part time jobs and a majority of them had school, but even then she had no idea what that was like on the other side. It was enough to make her curious on its own!
That innocent-and-fun thought was bled right into the next, a serious point about growing up. Syre gave a slow nod: "After that little stint in the Dark Area... well, dad listened to what I wanted to do. And he said if I was going to be fighting or doing anything dangerous, I might as well prepare myself for it. Training weights, sparring sessions, planning sprinting routes... it was a complete one-eighty from what he was saying at the start. And I think mom will know just how far I can take this."
Of course, she still got days like this to relax! Good food, decent wine... soon their plates were polished, and Syre felt herself sitting back slightly, ear flicking at Amelie's question. Desert? "Mm... sure, but I'm not feeling like cake or anything like that." A quick look on the menu would show a bunch of decadent, sweet, chocolatey or heavy sweets - not much that would sit well after a big meal like that! "How about we head out to the beach and get snow cones or something?"
Heck, they could get a nice walk in, too!

Overeager? Maybe, but the idea of this trip had positively made Amy excited. Strengthen bonds, share experiences and just have a good time; what's not to like about a possible outing in the human world?
"It won't be that surprising, I think? The human world isn't that different from the Digital World. I could even call it a milder version of it." No stuff springing randomly out of nowhere, no strange monsters. Mostly uniformity and order, at least comparatively. The question of what she did on the other side, though? That was an interesting one! "Oh. I'm attending a local university as a student. I hope to graduate as an architect at some point! Even though I'm still in my first year, so there's a long way to go."
It was good to see the degree of dedication that Syre could put unto attaining her goals; even if those wouldn't be accomplished, putting her mind and heart onto something would undoubtedly get her very far. "I'm sure that she will. Who knows, maybe in due time, you'll be able to match, or maybe even surpass K's prowess. I don't think that's a very unlikely outcome, if you ask me!"
For one, the brunette could see the fire burning in her niece's eyes. Recognizing it wasn't very hard for her! That made her content even if, yet again, that wasn't the point of the night. "Snow cones? I can get behind that. Let me just pay up and we'll be on our way."
Said and done. Soon enough, the duo found themselves on the streets of whitewater, in the search of the fabled frozen treats. They shouldn't be too hard to find! "Do you prefer any flavor in particular?"
It was a bit weird that, after all this time, Amy didn't know Syre's preferences, but... hey! Better later than never.

"Well, true - but thing's are always crazy over here? I dunno, but I'm sure there'll be some new stuff to see." Syre still beamed, even if her expectations might not be truly fulfilled by this endeavor. Hearing Auntie's 'major', the cat felt her ear flick. Architecture? "That's... um... 'building design', right?" It wasn't really a word used too much in the Digital World, but she caught on well enough! "Heh. I'm sure you can put it to good use in the Dark Area, once you get it down!"
Just as Amelie had confidence in Syre, the cat had confidence in her aunt! She felt a slight flush at her cheeks as Amelie mentioned that she might surpass K (really, the fox with two Knights in her head?), but she accepted her confidence in stride anyway. As they made their way back out, Syre giving a thankful nod to a Strabimon holding the door, she considered Amelie's question. "Um... whatever the blue kind is!"
Blue Rasberry, or something? Really, Syre just liked the color, and that made the snow cone taste better by itself! It wouldn't take long to find a desert stand out by the beach, and with just one person in front of them, it didn't take long for both of them to have a snow cone of their choice, Syre taking a small bite out of the side of it. It was a bit cold to the teeth, but refreshing on a warm evening like this one!
"Mm... we should do this more often! Well, maybe not this, but I mean... hang out, visit, you know." Syre gave a nod, and a nostalgic sigh. "Couldn't stay a Nyaromon forever, but it was fun to just bounce right up to ya..."

Comparatively, was the Digital World a crazier version of the human world? With the exception of one or two niche cases, one could say so! "Well, I guess that's a positive mindset to have in the face of such a trip. I wouldn't expect any less from my niece!"
She may or may not get disappointed in the result, but who was Amelie to spoil that? It'd be borderline unfair for Syre. Drawing her own conclusions was important as well, after all. What about her major? Amy hadn't counted with the fact that architecture would be a complex word. That had been a mistake on her part. "Building design is part of it, yes." She responded with a smile. "But it can go on a 'grander' scope as well. Open spaces are an alternative, and you can go as far as planning whole urban layouts if that's your thing. I've always wanted to design something big, but I hadn't imagined it would be here. A nice turn of events, isn't it?"
With everything said and done, the duo exited the restaurant; finding a place that sold snowcones wasn't very hard, and once the two had their desserts of choice, finding themselves near the beach once again wasn't hard at all.
All in all, it had been a very enjoyable evening. The brunette was positively beaming at Syre's words, obviously delighted at the intent behind them. "I sure hope I don't have to repeat the nuances of growing up in a long time, if you ask me!" Yet, some harmless teasing couldn't hurt. She tasted her cone a bit before continuing. "But I agree! I had a lot of fun! You may not be a Nyaromon anymore, but that doesn't mean we can't have some fun every now and then! And besides, the fact that you're not a Nyaromon anymore doesn't mean I can't scoop you up every now and then, you know! I wouldn't say the sizes are that different at the moment!"
Of course Amelie giggled at her own comment. It was her trademark by now. "I wouldn't mind doing something like this each time you got a spare moment from your adventures in the guild or something. I can accommodate my schedule without that much issue, considering I'm my own boss and that stuff. I bet we're gonna have a lotta fun!"

Huh - there was more to an architect than just buildings! Syre knew little about it, but she was always glad to hear about her aunt's work, and honestly thought it was cool she was doing that as well as her journalism! "Mhm, its a good chance! Whatever comes of it, I'm sure you'll end up helping out a lot of people, auntie."
Syre was definitely the optimist! Soon with a snow-cone in hand, now walking on two feet - and thus at a slower pace than before - the cat found herself in a bit of nostalgia. "Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm glad I'm not that small anymore, and not having arms when everyone else did was definitely annoying at times... but it was fun. And... heh, I guess you still can." Not now, though, she'd drop her snow cone! Taking another sip of it, the cat gave a nod to her aunt.
"Mm... and maybe I can help out with your writing, again. I mean, last time we became the story, but I'm sure it doesn't always turn out like that?" The cat gave a pause... and then a chuckle.
"Okay, maybe lately its been like that more often than not, with all the statue-craziness. But not now!"

That was what a city's function was in the end, wasn't it? Provide beings with a nice place to live. Provide them with opportunities that they would otherwise lack. And in the Dark Area, that was doubly so. To say the least, that place needed a place where civilization could truly bloom, not whatever the petty warlords that lived there had fabricated.
Everyone deserved to get better. And if nobody had given better already, she would. Maybe it was a self-righteous goal, but it was also what she believed was ultimately right. "I truly hope so. It'd be a nice way to repay the Digital World for all the people I met and the bonds I forged. Everyone deserves a shot at it, you know? Just because they weren't as lucky, doesn't mean the mons living in the Dark Area can't hope for a better future as were."
Idealism was rather strong today! Maybe Amy had gotten carried away just a bit. Ultimately, the city wasn't the focus of the conversation. It was Syre, and that was enough to prompt a smile form the brunette. "I can't say that I didn't any phase of your childhood. You were a very good girl, you know? And you still are, kinda."
Helping her with her reports was undoubtedly a good idea, though! That was definitely something where having additional hands was never a bad thing. "Sure thing. I've been meaning to write more stories as of late, so having a companion would undoubtedly be a huge asset. I hope not every situation is like that cave with the D-Reaper inside, though! I can handle only so much excitement."
She managed a laugh at the memory. That had been quite the trip, that was for sure, and while Amelie wouldn't mind more adventures like that, they'd have to be... really sporadic.
Yet, out of the blue, she seemed... unwittingly throw yet another bomb. Of sorts. "I thought about venturing into Eldoradimon. What do you think?"

Sheesh - on one hand, she could only handle so much excitement, but at the other she wants to travel to Eldoradimon? Syre blinked briefly at the suggestion.
"Well, you're definitely adventurous, I'll say that much..." The BlackGatomon mulled it over in her head. Until recently, and likely even now, Eldoradimon wasn't exactly known for being the best towards humans - but really, that was only more reason for Syre to go. "I'll tag along for that if I can! You'll probably have an easier time if you have a partner Digimon with you, I'd think. Not that I'd really know, I've only heard about it in the mission guild a few times."
That made her curious enough to want to check it out, though! Getting to the end of her snowcone, Syre asked a follow-up: "But what's goin' on over there? We don't hear a lot about that place, or that Ceresmon over the woods, really. They've always just kinda been 'there', I guess?"

It seemed like the proposition had left Syre without words. Or at least, it had at first. All things considered, why did the brunette want to travel there? Was there anything to be gained from visiting such a place? Well...
"I know right. I have no idea when a human has last visited that place, but I'm definitely interested in going there at some point." The reason why? It was quite simple. "While not as famous as Terminus, or Whiterwater, or Luminas, Eldoradimon is known as one of the biggest cities of the Digital World. And humans can't go there. I don't know about you, but I'm very curious about that. Maybe not about the reasons just yet, but about what's inside. Can't blame me for being curious, right?"
Having Syre alongside her was always something she could appreciate. And truthfully, the 'Giants' as they were colloquially called had always been mysterious entities. Was there any secret to them. "I have no idea about what's going on there, but that's the charm, right? If there's anything, we're gonna find out. And if not, at least we visited a new place. No bad outcomes over there, don't you think?"
Due to the fact that it basically flew through the air, Ceresmon wasn't as easy to find, but that didn't mean it wouldn't get visited in time. "I think it'll be interesting, even if I can't know for certain."
It only took her a look at the D-Terminal to conclude on one thing, though. It had gotten quite late. "I guess it's time for me to return you to the Library. I gotta wake up early tomorrow, so hope you don't mind if we end this small outing in a bit. We should definitely do this more often. I had a lot of fun!"

"Well, so long as you know what you're getting yourself into, I'll be glad to tag along with you." Syre gave a bit of a nervous chuckle. In that case, she'd be working with Amelie more as a guardian than as an assistant journalist. But if she could manage it, it might be the scoop of a lifetime! "Of course, I'm interested to see too! They might be a bit, um, resistant to our efforts though..."
So, both excited and nervous, then! It would definitely be interesting, one way or another, but unfortunately the clock was running a bit late. Taking a glance at Amelie's screen, Syre nervously clenched her teeth. "Oof... yeah, I gotta get going if I want to get back in time, too. But yeah, I had fun, too!" Syre beamed, grabbing that last bit of snowcone with her teeth before topping the paper cone into a trash bin. "I'll be busy for a bit - have to keep practicing for my test with the Knights, but I'll let you know how it goes!"

A swift nod was Amy's initial response. "Of course I know where I'm getting into. You should know that I'm the type that always has a plan!" Her words brimmed with confidence. Or arrogance, maybe? "Sides, it's a little more than an idea for now. I wouldn't venture to such a potentially dangerous place without feeling completely prepared first."
An expedition like that could take a very long time, especially since Eldoradimon wasn't the type to remain in a single place for long. Thus, not a search to begin recklessly. "I'll make sure things will work out in our favor, even though this whole journey is gonna be very, very weird. But productive at the same time, I feel. Or... at least I do hope so!"
As much as she wanted to keep on discussing the nuances of their future trip, the duo's time was up, and that meant it was... time to get back home. "I'd offer to give you a lift to the Library, but since it seems that we're in a hurry, I guess that the way to go is just using one of those fancy Digiports, isn't it? In any case..."
The brunette fiddled with her digivice a bit, before one of those such portals appeared. She finished with her snow cone, then mirrored Syre's action. "Don't worry; we have a lot of time to plan this out! I hope that your test with the knights goes well; teach K what you're made of!"
Having said that, the brunetted entered the portal. Back to the Human World.
