D-Reaper Plot - Final Summary
Summary:
Arc 4 - The Puppetmaster
Events:
A More Direct TerrorSummary:
It was time for the puppetmaster, Wisemon, to finally make his move. Both the existence of the D-Reaper as well as the Sovereign Effigies was well known at this point, and before the final statue would be secured, Wisemon decided to perform an all-or-nothing bid to try and claim his own victory. Through the use of several controlled Digimon, the sorcerer began a wide-scale effort to try and locate the effigy of Ebonwumon at any cost - even going as far as to masquerade himself as one of the innocent victims of the forest's rampage.
Chaos ensured. Controlled Digimon were freed, deleted, or left to the wrought state of their mind as the battle progressed - and, eventually, a particularly powerful explosion managed to unearth the effigy from its wake.
Wisemon made himself known, but was soon met with a vengeful end by the Knights of the Rose. But the Wisemon's strongest controlled fighter persisted, intent on both destroying the effigy and all those who stood against him.
But he was stopped. Through blood, sweat and tears, through a miracle, and through the Sovereign's brief awakening, the dragon was rend to dust and the damaged forest - or at least its center, reformed to its former glory.
Such a drastic event had rippling consequences throughout the Digital World...
Lasting Events:
- With the three remaining Sovereign entities protected, the D-Reaper will no longer appear outside of the Dark Area in 'agent' form.
- The Dark Area is without the effigy of the Phoenix. Because of this, the D-Reaper can still form into active nests in this area. An effort with local Digimon and the mission's guild is forming a force to respond to these threats as they appear.
- Luminas, proven incompetent in their handling of their situation, experienced a coup - largely removing the bigoted and militaristic regime with one from scratch. They are attempting to repair their reputation with the rest of the Digital World.
- The Sovereign's identity has been revealed as ancient Digimon belonging to who might have been the first four tamers in the Digital World. They were normal Digimon blessed with a golden light, who manifested themselves as statues to prevent the Digital World from tearing itself apart, as well as to prevent the D-Reaper from properly manifesting in most of the Digital World.
