Another village, another theft performed. Specifically a raid at some area where food was stored, whether it be a simple food storage hut or a small restaurant. Sanoske didn't care, he was hungry, and given how his fake body worked he couldn't risk going hungry for long. No, he knew what might happen, and as such focused on survival.
Sanoske did, however, tried to be fair. He tried to find odd jobs. Most either did not understand him, found him suspicious, or did not let him on for some reason.
Frankly, it was frustrating for the Gazimon. It didn't help that he had no natural hunting skills either. He was an imaginary digimon, after all. He did not know all of what his creator knew.
But he was not stupid. He would take food and run or fly off. It usually worked.
And then there is this time, with the pot bellied, winged Gazimon was finding himself under the foot of a particular pink, overweight Guilmon with red hair, a brown dress, and an apron. For a rookie, she was able to quickly to take down the champion digimon. And with his face pressed up against the dirt and grass, he was briefly hoping she would just smash his head. It would be at least quick.
His stomach growled, his body in pain, his vision blurred, and light spasms could be felt, this was quite the substantial defeat for Sanoske.
The Guilmon, Lily would not allow thieves to steal from her restaurant. They all would be given a thurough thrashing. Her workers knew this, her regulars knew this, the new customers were finding this out. Just outside the mobile restaurant they were gathered, and while Lily will beat up a thief, closer examination would reveal that the odd Gazimon was looking more ill, his twitching gradually increasing.

"So how is your veggie sandwich?" Crystal asked in honest curiosity as she watched her brother take a bite of said sandwich.
Pure didn't answer right away as he took a second to chew his food before swallowing it. "It's not half bad." He told her, not wanting to give her the satisfaction that she was right that this place would have good food.
Crystal smiled in glee as she saw her through her brothers white lie. "I told you the food would be good. Aren't you glad I convince you to eat here?"
Pure sighed in defeat. "Yes, you were right." He told her hoping that this will be the end of it. Crystal just continued to smile in satisfaction before starting to eat her own sandwich.
"You know. I don't think I've ever seen a mobile rest..." She found herself being interrupted mid sentence by sounds of some kind of struggle nearby, "What was that?" She asked as she began searching for the source.
"I don't know, nor do I want to know. It's probably just some locals fighting, so we should just stay out of it." Pure said, not wanting to get involved.
"We should go and make sure everything is okay." Crystal said as she stood up.
"Crys wait. We shouldn't go putting our nose in other digimon's business." Pure said, trying to convince his sister to not go. But Crystal had her mind set. Nor was she going alone as she grabbed hold of one of her brother's hand and began dragging him with her, causing him to disappointingly drop his sandwich in the process.
It wasn't long before they joined the crowd that had formed between whatever had just happened. Using their small stature to their advantage, the twins managed to move through the crowd with little problem. It was then they saw what all the excitement was about.
It seemed that two digimon just had a brawl. The one who managed to get ontop was an overweight guilmon that Crystal could of swore she saw before. The other, who seemed to have lost of the brawl, was a lot more familiar. After all, there was only one large gazimon with wings that the twins knew of.
"Sanoske? Is that you?" Crystal asked in surprise, not expecting to see the strange Gazimon they had met up in the north here. Though the question was now. Why was he under that guilmon? Did he do something wrong? Crystal had a feeling that they were about to find out.

Did someone call out to him? He might have been beaten up, but his hearing was still good enough. He weakly glanced up to see a Terriermon and Lopmon. Said Lopmon was dragging along the Terriermon, and this had helped him figure out who they were.
"[C-crystal... Pure...]" He growled out with noticable effort. Lily was also looking at the twins as well, getting off of the weakened Gazimon. "It's you two again..." she said, recognizing them from earlier. It hadn't been that long since she saw them, actually, and she *was* the main food preparer in her restaurant.
"This guy tried to steal my food. I don't care the reason, but theft gets you beat. I guess he's mad that I didn't hire him a few days ago..."
Sanoske remained on the ground as Lily spoke. And soon he saw another digimon come up to him. But given his vision, he could not fully make out this pink blob that was coming towards him. It seemed to hover around him, and then looked into his eyes.
"Hey, Marin, don't bother." The pink guilmon spoke to her pink mate, Marin the MarineAngemon. "He got his punishment. He can go when he is able to walk again."
"He's ill."
"He's just hurt and hungry."
"Just like any other thief you KO. But this one looks sick."
Lily looked at the Gazimon again, still twitching on the ground. She quickly considered her options... either leave him, and risk talk going around of her beating up a sick digimon, or take him in, risking thieves trying some similar tactic.
"Lily, he can work here for a bit, can't he? Tab and That are busy, Early and Kate are on vacation... we could use an extra hand."
Once Marin finished, Lily turned to the bunny twins. "You know this Gazimon, right?"

Crystal looked down at Sanoske as he growled out both her and her brother's names. The imaginary Gazimon looked to be in bad shape, and not just from getting beaten up. It seemed like he was ill, and Crystal feared the worst if she didn't try to help.
The Lopmon barely listened as the large Guilmon and MarineAngemon spoke. She did manage to catch on that Sanoske had stole food from the pair. This did put things at an awkward spot, though she doubted that the Gazimon would have done it if he had any other choice. Though how could she possibly convey that to the pair that he had wronged so that they would understand.
The twins looked up as Lily had asked them if they knew. Pure gave an audible gulped as he did so, not wanting to end up on this Guilmon's bad side. Even Crystal found herself intimidated by Lily's stature as she found a bead of sweat forming on her forehead.
"Yes!" Crystal said in a confident voice along with a stout nod. "No." Pure answered simultaneously with his sister, not wanting to get involved. He then found himself being glared at by his sister.
"One second please?" Crystal asked Lily kindly before turning back towards Pure. "What is wrong with you? Why did you say no just now?" Crystal asked Pure in a not so quiet whisper.
"Because I see no reason to affiliate ourselves with a thief." Pure responded in a much more quiet volume meant to only be heard by his sister. He saw no point in bringing the whole crowd into thier private conversation afterall.
"But if we don't do something, he could die. And you know as well as I do that he won't get a second chance." Crystal said matching her brother's volume.
"You still believe in his story. You know he only told us that so that we would pity him."
Crystal scowled as she heard what her brother just said. "We still owe him the benefit of doubt, and for helping us out back up north. And you know as well as I do that we would of ended up dead if he hadn't shown up when he did." She didn't even get Pure a chance to rebutt her claim as she returned her attention back to Lily. Time was of the essence, and she couldn't waste anymore time arguing with him.
Watching his sister turn back towards Lily, Pure sighed in defeat that as he knew his sister was right. Even if he didn't trust the Gazimon, Pure still owed him for helping them out earlier. That meant that even though he didn't want to, he would have to stick his neck out for this thief. If just for his sister's sake. "I'm... I'm sorry about that. Yes we both have met Sanoske here before. It was during a trip up north a few months back." Pure then gulped, hoping beyond hope that Lily wouldn't do something to him.
Crystal smiled as she heard what her brother had just said. It's nice that he had a change of attitude, though it was obvious to her that he was fearing something else at the moment. As he spoke, she decided to take the chance to check up on Sanoske. "Hey Sanoske. Hang in there will ya. Can you tell me what's the matter? Other then you being beaten to the ground, that is." She asked as she approached the Gazimon, concerned about his well being.

Lily was a tad confused at the twins actions. She might have intimidated the two, but unless they stole from her too, they would have no reason to worry. And then they gave differing answers towards knowing this Gazimon, before the Lopmon had a private conversation.
Sanoske was dissapointed that Pure disowned him, in a way. He knew how Pure was, so he wasn't angry at him. Whether it was self preservation or concern for his sister, Sanoske figured that Pure was justified. The act still had hurt him, nonetheless.
The twins eventually both acknowledged knowing him, and Crystal came up to the Gazimon. She asked what was wrong, and began to weakly growl again. "[I'm... not as durable... as other digimon.]" He was hoping that they could talk in private. While before he was willing to openly reveal hos origins to the twins, he was less willing around someone who just beat him up.
Lily spoke up. "Look, I have a policy. Try to steal from me, get beat up. That said, if he dies, that's bad on everyone else, especially me."
The large guilmon easily hefted up the Gazimon onto her shoulder. "Me and Marin will be busy. If you have a few hours, mind taking care of this guy in one of my rooms? I'll make it worth your time if you do come."
Meanwhile, Marin was getting the other customers to return to their seats in the restaurant.

Crystal gave a small frown at the answer Sanoske gave her. She didn't like seeing anybody in so much pain, especially her friend. It pained her to know that there was little she could do for Sanoske. She wasn't a doctor, nor did she have any medical training (that she knew of). All she knew was from what she could remember from a book she read in Terminus several months back.
Crystal looked up as she heard Lily spoke, happy at least to know that the Guilmon didn't want to see Sanoske die. Even if it may be for a selfish reason. "Of course we'll him." She told Lily as she looked back down at Sanoske. "You wouldn't mind helping him to the room first, would you?" She then asked, knowing full well that both her and her brother lack the strength to get Sanoske to this room, and doubting that the Gazimon would be able to get there himself in the condition he is.
Pure hanged back as he listened to Crystal volunteer the both of them to take care of Sanoske. While he still didn't like the idea, he knew he had no real argument against it. He was going to be forced to help no matter what anyways, so he might as well adjust to it while he still can. Besides, he doubted he would be of much assistance. This was usually the type of thing his sister was much better at handling then he was.

The customers were back inside, and Lily carried Sanoske to one of the small back rooms. The walls were a cream color, but the room was built for function over style. It had a large bed, a few drawers, and a few pictures on it, most of Lily and Marin. It was obvious that this was their room, and that these two were a couple if one cared to really look at the photos.
Lily left, leaving Sanoske and the twins alone briefly before Marin came in with a large glass of... something.
"Sorry I can't heal you... Lily's orders. But I do have my special blended protein veggie berry shake..."
Sanoske groaned, and it was uncertain if it was from pain... or hearing the name of the drink. Sitting the glass down, Marin sat rhe Gazimon up a bit (still too weak to move much on his own, and still twitching on occasion), and helped him drink the shake. Once he finished, he turned to the twins before leaving. "Now, make sure he's well. I'll check back on occasion."
Alone again. Sanoske briefly reflected on the taste of the shake... it wasn't that great, but it certainly was filling. That said, he felt ashamed. He growled softly to them,"[I'm sorry for... dragging you two into this.
Since we are alone... I know I have to explain why I did what I did. I owe you as much...]"

The twins followed Lily as she led them into a back room of their restaurant. It turned out to be a fairly plain bedroom with not much else to say about it. Though judging from the picture in it, it wasn't hard to guess that this bedroom was actually Lily's and Marin's.
"Huh. So they really are a couple then." Pure said offhandedly shortly after Lily had left as he looked at one of photograghs. He had a hunch from how they had interacted with each other, but not much else until now.
It was shortly after that when Marin had entered the room with some weird drink in his hand, apologizing for not being able to heal Sanoske. "I guess it ruins the lesson your beating into someone if you just heal them afterwards." Crystal stated under her breath. While she understood that Lily maybe in the right for beating up Sanoske for stealing, it appeared that the Guilmon have gone overboard with her punishment to leave Sanoske in the state he was in now.
Once Marin had left, Sanoske had begun to speak again, apologizing for dragging them into this before saying that he owed them an explanation. Crystal shook her head, "Don't worry about that now Sanoske. Just try to get some rest." She told the Gazimon, trusting that he had his reasons, before turning to her brother, "Hey Pure. You wouldn't have happened to see any medicinal herbs close by, have you? Specifically anything that can help relieve pain."
Pure paused to think for a moment. "I might of seen some that could help just outside the village, but I'm not to sure." Pure replied.
"Well could you go fetch some for me?"
"Why? Aren't those two going to come back with some medical supplies?"
"Judging from what Marin had just said, I'd doubt it. So the sooner you can get me something that can help Sanoske's condition, the better."
"Okay. I'll see what I can be find. I'll be back as soon as I can." He said before glaring at Sanoske, "You better not try anything funny with my sister while I'm gone, you hear?" And with that final warning, Pure left the room leaving Sanoske and Crystal alone. The only reason Pure actually left as willingly as he did was the knowledge that Sanoske could barely move in the state he was in.

Despite being told to rest by the Lopmon, Sanoske had no intention to do so, at least not until he explained himself. He wanted to get that out of the way as soon as he could.
However, Crystal had sent Pure to retrieve some medicinal herbs. He wanted to stop them, but didn't. The Terriermon had warned Sanoske not to do anything to his sister, which was almost laughable were he not in this situation. They all knew the Gazimon was in no position to do anything.
And he left... and felt gulty for being glad he was gone. He got the feeling that he didn't like Sanoske. Yes, he was overprotective of his sister, and Sanoske would never fault him for that. But that warning and him initially claiming he did not know Sanoske gave him the impression that the Terriermon had something against him.
It troubled him. But... what could he do?
He sighed, then winced a bit. The twitching had gone down a bit, at least. Relaxing a bit, he looked at his only company.
"[I deserved this... but... well... you remember when I told you I wasn't really... real, right? I was essentially a figment of my creator's unconsciousness.
I'm not a real digimon, and while I detest this existence, I don't want to die. But my body...
I know most digimon, when severely weakened, de-digivolve. I don't have that. My connection with my creator is weakened. I'll get sick, I'll lose control of my body, get seizures. I won't get a rebirth like other digimon. I'll just vanish...
I wanted to work for the food, I really did. I just cannot find any who would take me. So... I had to steal. As pathetic that makes me I just don't want to go away.]"

Crystal listened silently as Sanoske explained himself. She had guessed much of what he had told her, but to hear it from him made the whole thing feel alot more graver. There was no sign of her trademark smile once Sanoske had stop, having been replaced with a small frown. This was the first time she had seen a friend of her's as badly injured as Sanoske was, and she hated to see him like that.
"I had thought as much. You don't seem to be the type who would steal for no reason. Yet I guess you have to do what you can to survive. Death isn't exactly an option, even for those of us who are able to be reincarnated. And I guess it doesn't help that most shopkeepers don't want to hire a winged Gazimon who mostly speaks in growls." Crystal said as she looked towards her side. She knew Sanoske wouldn't want her to, but she felt pitiful about the life he must lead. If only there was some way to help.
"Maybe once you have recovered you should travel with me and Pure? Pure's very good at foraging food, so you wouldn't have to worry about going hungry again, and you will be able to help us out with missions and stuff like that. It's a win-win." Crystal offered, a small smile forming on her face for coming up with the idea. A small part of her knew though that her idea was unrealistic and unlikely to actually happen.

Maybe Sanoske shouldn't have set up this pity party for himself. He had wanted to get his reasoning off his chest, but now he felt bad for doing so. Especially for making Crystal frown. So far she was the only one he cared about.
She made mention of joining her and her brother on their travels. "[Me... travel with you two?]" It was an intriguing invitation from the Lopmon. "[But your brother dislikes me. He would be against it.
Still... I would otherwise accept. I'm not good at forraging, and it would be nice to... have a travel buddy.]"
Sanoske's maw shown a slight smile. He liked the idea very much. It would be a learning experience too.
"[But maybe I need this. In any case, thanks for suffering through my complaining... I'll rest now."
He moved slightly down the bed, growling slightly in pain. Once he was finished, he closed his eyes.
"Youarre arr... good f-farriend... Crrys-stal..." There was a wheeze, and a cough. She was worth actually *talking* too, even if talking was more straining in this condition. But he would rest. Hopefully Pure won't loudly object, considering he was trying to rest.

Crystal was happy to hear Sanoske's response towards her idea of them traveling together. Still, he did bring up a good point about Pure. The problem was that she had no idea what was going on with her brother and his hostility towards Sanoske. It was a side of the usually timid Terriermon that she had never seen before. It made her wonder if he was at all like that before she had lost her memories.
"Don't worry. I'm sure I'll be able to convince Pure to allow you to travel with us." She told Sanoske, glad to see him smiling. Maybe while she was at it, she could also get to the bottom of why Pure had been so mean to Sanoske earlier.
Crystal smiled at Sanoske as he thanked her for suffering through his complaining. "I'm not suffering at all." She assured him as she took a seat on the edge of the bed, making sure she to give Sanoske more then enough space. She then felt a little touched as Sanoske told her that she was a good friend. She knew from their last meeting how difficult it was for Sanoske to actually talk, and with the pain he was in, it made it a bit more special.
It wasn't much longer after that before Pure had reentered the room with a small collection of flowers in his paw. "Are those the herbs?" Crystal asked as she got off the bed.
"Yeah. Eating some of these herbs should help relieve some of the pain the Gazimon's in. Though I'm afraid they won't do much else for his condition. Also I should warn you that they are kind of bitter." Pure informed his sister. Crystal was impressed with how much
"Well at least it's a start." Crystal said as she took the herbs from her brother and returned to Sanoske, "Hey Sanoske. You heard Pure right? Just eat these herbs, and it'll help you feel better." She told Sanoske, prepared to feed him the herbs. If he did eat them though, he would find that when Pure said that they were 'kindof bitter', it was an understatement.

It was nice to see her smile. It felt more natural for her instead of a frown he had caused.
Anyway, Pure had returned with a good deal of herbs for Sanoske, and offered no lip at the moment, which was good. He warned that the herbs he gathered were kind of bitter before handing them to Crystal to feed him. Sanoske would admit that he never ate herbs like this before, but no time for complaining. He took in all the herbs into his mouth and started chewing irregularly.
The slight contortion of his face told everything. It was... more than kinda bitter. But he chewed and chewed, bearing the bitter taste before finally swallowing.
"[If I eat this stuff again... it'll be too soon. Ugh... and the aftertaste is mixing with the shake aftertaste. ]" The Gazimon panted for a few moments, then looked at Pure. "[Thank you, though. I'll rest now... ]"
He got comfortable in the bed and tried to sleep. ----
Hours later, the restaurant closed in the mid evening. Everyone else was out, and Lilly, Marin, and the three guests were left. Marin had checked on Sanoske a few times while he was asleep (having commented how unnerving it was to see that he was completely still while he slept with his eyes slightly ajar), and now he came with a pair of veggie sandwiches for the two rabbit digimon.
"Thanks for taking care of him for me, you two. Anyway, this is on the house. Oh, and now that I have time... " the MarineAngemon looked to Pure with an eager look. "I saw you bring in herbs earlier. Is that kind of thing something you're into?"
Outside the room, everyone could hear Lily yell out, "Are you trying to sell them your book?"
"Oh no, I would never do something like that. I'd give it for free, heh heh."

Pure watched as Sanoske ate the herbs, and his face begin to contort from the taste of them. He did warn Sanoske that the herbs were bitter. Hopefully the Gazimon wouldn't see that as a reason to seek vengeance on him. Instead, he was surprised to hear the Gazimon thanking him before falling unconscious. Pure just crossed his arms and turned to look at his sister, who was still at Sanoske's bedside.
Seeing that Sanoske was now asleep (though a bit unnerved how still the Gazimon was), he decided to ask his sister something that has been bugging him. "So what happened while I was gone?"
"Nothing. We just talked is all." Crystal told her brother in a hushed voice.
"What did you talk about?"
"Pure, Sanoske is trying to get some rest. Can we just talk about this later?" Crystal said, not wanting to wake the Gazimon who had just fell asleep.
Pure made a disgruntled sigh as he knew he wasn't going to make any headway on the subject right now. All he could do now is wait til either Sanoske woke up, or Marin came to relieve them of thier duties. So that was what he did. He sat down on the ground, and waited as he watched his sister and Sanoske.
Hours had passed, and Pure was finding trouble keeping up himself. The only thing that had really kept him up this long was Marin's occasional visits, though those proved to be fairly short. This seemed to have been true for Crystal as well as she had fallen asleep against the side of the bed shortly after Marin's last visit. Who knew doing nothing, but watching someone sleep could be so tiring.
Pure's ears perked as he heard someone at the door. The last thing he wanted right now was Marin or Lily to think they were sleeping on the job (even though they kind of were), so he quickly nudged his sister before facing the door.
"What is it?" Crystal yawned tiredly as she began to wake up from her short nap around the same time as Marin entered the room. Her eyes perked as she saw that Marin had brought them some food. She hadn't had anything to eat since before this all started, and even then, she hadn't had a chance to finish her meal.
While also interested in the food, Pure listened as Marin inquired him about the herbs he gathered earlier today. It turned out that Marin was offering him a book he had made. Even though Pure was flattered with the offer, he didn't see much use in having a book with him. "Well kindof. Crystal and I have been living off the land for as long as I can remember. It was just one of those things I've picked up on during our travels." He told Marin truthfully, wanting to see what exactly the MarineAngemon was offering.
"Wait... What kind of book are we talking about now?" Crystal asked, excited at the prospect that they could be given a book.

Prophetmon walked slowly towards the door. It was not exactly the best time to be awake, but in his travelling it was not uncommon to show up in these conditions. He looked around the floor. It clearly depicted the scene of a fight and a crowd. Prophetmon knew what had happened and why, but he could not prevent himself from still feeling repulse for it. And, of course, sorry for the involved. As he reached the door, he looked up to the sky and took a deep breath. Who knew? Maybe the stars would guide him into a better scene than the one they had depicted. He got rid of such illusions, however. They and the voice always smooted things up, even the worse ones. That was why he message was so important. He looked back to the the door and knocked, wandering who would answer and its reaction to how late he was there and his motives to be.
