February, the month of love and friendship and also the shortest month of the whole year it usually flies by and you never had that much time to enjoy it, many people wait for this month to do something special for Valentines day but not the Chinese girl, no, Miyu has one very special day that gets after Valentines and it's her birthday! And what better way to spend the day after valentine and her birthday with a very special some one?
Well this was also going to be the first time Basile was coming to her house, it's hard to say how much time has passed since they met and started this "relationship" with the difference of time between the digital and human world keeping track of time is kinda hard, another reason for the night to be special and put the Chinese nervous as hell is that not counting the little episode of the desert, this was their actual first date, and her first date in general.
Just to make sure that everything goes perfectly Miyu prepare herself with a week of anticipation, she bought all the ingredients for both the appetizers and the actual dinner, she also bought a beacuse it felt that making appetizers, dinner and dessert was a little overkill for her.
Finally the so awaited day came and as a las little surprise/self gift Miyu cut her hair short, no more long pony tail just a simple down hairstyle and while her hair was shorter it still reach her shoulders so it wasn't so short either, in any case she call Basile and made the arrangements for the night the only thing he'll need to bring si the drinks since Miyu has never drink wine or anything that has a minimal amount of alcohol so she wouldn't know what to buy for the dinner.
Bloom actually help a lot to get the department ready, while Miyu make the food she set the table and organize a little the living room , the fact that the department was small to begin with the main room being share with the living room and the kitchen, it was very well decorated with plants and pictures of Miyu and her family most of them she's close to a man slightly older than her that for the looks must be her brother, the living room had one large couch and in front of it a small coffee table , aside from that there was a halway that leaded to two more rooms but those weren't important for now.
After finishing the appetizers (little patties filed with meat and veggies next to a small bowl with soy sauce to dip it and give it more flavor), the Chinese girl heard a knock in the door, she quickly ask Bloom to open it up while she gets ready and change herself, when her tamer leave the room Bloom waited a couple of seconds before opening the door
"Welcome, my name is Sumire, I'm Miyu's roommate, may I know what brings you to our lovely home tonight?" She joked, hopefully Basile (and Cinder if she decide to come too) were going to be able to recognize her voice, once the joke was done she'll let them in

No Brakes On This Train.
That was Basile's thought as he rummaged through his own paltry collection of Wines and Liqueurs. He had exactly 3 choices, a somewhat flowery wine that was fairly weak as far as Wine's went... one that was particularly more potent but tasted excellent or... Single Malt Whiskey, 21 years old. The three different drinks could send three different messages and that was what was currently hamstring-ing the young man. Bringing either of the Wines while tame, didn't mean anything to him... they were store bought specifically because they were the french style wine and not the traditional Sake that was popular here. The Whiskey was something his father had given him as a moving in present when he'd gotten his own home.
Of course the Whiskey could just as easily send a negative message, saying that perhaps Basile would need such a drink to get through the dinner and Miyu's company. In the end the decision would come down to one thing. Which did Miyu deserve, Store bought wine off of the shelf? Or something he had been saving for a special occasion. The choice was clear, As he pulled the Whiskey from the Fridge. Sighing as he swapped out of his usual outfit for his "date".
Wearing a grey dress shirt with a long tail, black dress pants and black dress shoes, He'd shaved off his usual stubble and wrangled his hair into falling down his back rather than the usual messy "style" he'd leave it in. Turning towards his standing mirror he admired himself for a moment before letting out a low whistle "Nice." He'd knock 'em dead. At least, he hoped he would.
Cinder watched her tamer seemingly wrestle with himself on... a drink of all things was neither funny nor interesting. Cinder was much more interested in her own new "Outfit" investing in some nifty tech back in the Digi-World, Cinder could now "pretend" to be a human. Naturally Cinder had a customised image in mind and had spent half-an-hour "talking" (arguing) with the salesman before getting a custom one. a tall raven haired woman stared back at her from the bathroom mirror, eyes the colour of a roaring flame with not a blemish to be found on her face. Adorned by a long red dress with gold coloured accents and a black choker and via a lot of 'persuading' she'd managed to obtain a black pair of heeled shoes for her outfit, she had quite the 'femme-fatale' look and Her Tamer had naturally ribbed her about it.
Letting out a long sigh as she thought about that "Her Tamer" when had those become capitalised? Probably after the scare in the desert, but still. She'd prior seen him as more akin to a belonging than a partner, It's why she'd been somewhat antagonistic towards Miyu and Bloom when they'd first met. She'd seen them taking her "new toy" back then and while the pair had grown on her over the course of the evening, not that she'd ever admit it to them. She'd been somewhat reluctant to let Her Tamer grow close to the pair after the events at the Oasis. It couldn't possibly be blamed on them, it was a case of wrong-place wrong-time. But their involvement in one of the worst moments of the pair's brief partnership made them partly responsible.
Cinder left the bathroom looking at her tamer as he finished preening like a bird, after his comment she couldn't help but snort at him. The mock-wounded look she got in return did make her crack a smile as she mimed a balloon letting out a lot of hot air. The Sigh in response was music to her ears, she did always enjoy ribbing her partner.
The pair exited Basile's home once again, it was re-affirmed that Greater Shibuya was not a nice place to live. It was a cold night in Greater Shibuya, the cold winds tearing through the ward and freezing it's residents. The pair seemed no different than any other, in no way special... other than their attire but they carried a confidence and sense of ease about them. It was hard to fear where one lived after all. They moved with no sense of urgency as they walked the streets, side stepping the drunk and homeless alike as they travelled. On the opposite side of the street a woman and young man were in a screaming match, their voices travelling for entire city blocks.
Eventually the sound of domestic violence faded into the wind as they headed down a side street riddled with drunks, drug addicts and hookers alike. Basile sighed, running a hand through his messy blonde locks. Greater Shibuya... was not a nice place to live. Why he hadn't stumped up the money to move to a nice neighbourhood was simple if you really thought about it, A nice neighbourhood meant more 'friendly people'. On the surface 'friendly people' were a great thing, always willing to help out, always willing to lend things... and always interested in why you were coming home at 3:00 AM looking like hell and torn up.
Another Corner and the pair's home was out-of-sight, It... fit the district they lived in quite well. Paint that really could use a bit of a touch up, a paved garden with weeds growing between the stones. A trio of stone paving slabs formed stairs leading up to a tacky looking door that didn't match the rest of the wall. Dodging a drunkard and it's keeper -wife- the pair took a fairly direct path towards Miyu's home, if there was a singular saving grace towards living in Greater Shibuya it's that it was fairly central enough that you could get just about anywhere in the city fairly quickly.
Entering the Residential district and getting away from the calculating gazes and plotting, the pair could actually look around. It was unsettling for Basile to be in a more financially stable neighbourhood, he'd become accustomed to the Ghetto in all of it's depravity. He'd become jaded to the sight of the homeless, drunks and hookers hanging around at all hours of the day. The Residential district was.. significantly wealthy and it showed, there were no cracked pavements, no weeds growing between the cracks. It was a normal suburb... or the surface anyway.
As the pair walked towards the entrance to the col-de-sac that led to Miyu and Bloom's home, Basile couldn't help but think back on the original invitation as they walked up the... entirely too perfect looking street, It was a normal month for it, February was always the 'romantic' month. He couldn't help think that it was a day late though, considering Valentines Day was yesterday. It was no doubt some kind of important day for Miyu... or at least he thought so.
Cinder was personally offended by how idyllic this street was, Considering a few scant miles their was the ghetto where Basile lived. The people who lived here spent entirely too much money on ridiculous things like landscaping, It was clear there was some kind of bias in play here.
She was nudged out of here thoughts as Basile pinched her arm, as she shot him an annoyed look and was about to threaten to slap him through the next house he motioned with his head to Miyu's home. Seeing her irritation bleed away the pair walked up the paved stones to the front door and Basile knocked firmly three times, one was too lazy, two implied some form of severity, three was perfect.
The two had mixed reactions to 'Sumire'. Basile's mind was racing a mile an hour trying to figure out how to explain his and Cinder's unique relationship when he was supposed to be here for a Date with Miyu. Cinder on the other hand looked her up and down and despite knowing her own suit looked much better, thus her superiority complex was sated, couldn't deny that Bloom's holosuit looked cute. The Kimono was a nice touch too. She nodded in approval.
As Basile's mind was still trying to make up excuses, Cinder spoke "It's nice to see you again Bloom, I take it Miyu is waiting to make a Dramatic Entrance?" Cinder couldn't help but make the slight as a coy smile spread across her human face as Basile's mind seemed to crash as he realised he'd been pranked.
"Nice to 'Meet' you 'Sumire', May we come in?" Basile faux-asked smiling, putting emphasis on Meet and Sumire.

Seeing the confuse face of Basile was priceless, the smile of the "girl" growing with each second that passed and no word was spoken, while Basile was blue screening the other girl didn't lose a second to check her out, it was a little uncomfortable to say the least she wasn't a big fan of wearing a Holo-Suit at all but she like this one it makes her look young and cute and the japanese aesthetic is just a bonus, once the girl spoke everything was made clear
"Nice to see you again too, Cinder" The girl made a small bow "And I don't know how dramatic can be her entrance with you looking so lovely, but do remember that the special night is for someone else, we should take a step back don't you think?~" Giving a small wink to Cinder she move and let both in then close the door "Sorry about the "Sumire" thing, I gotta play my part as a normal human while disguised so I decide that it'll be smart to have a human name, Sumire is the japanese name of the Violet and that flower symbolizes love, serenity and Bliss, pretty fitting, right?"
Meanwhile on her room Miyu was fighting with the wardrobe looking for something to wear, she can't keep using the same qipaos for everything, she has to have something more casual, something that says "For this night I'll be different and special" even if it is something casual, but nothing! There was NOTHING here.
Back to her thematic qipaos, there was the classic sun and moon but that wasn't going to work, a beautiful purple with a floral theme that could work but it's not quiet what she's looking for, a red one with some bunnies but that's definitely a big NOPE too childish...
Finally deep in the furthest part of the wardrobe hidden between more clothes she found what had to use in WhiteWater to not look suspicious, a simple pink blouse and a knee length skirt, adding a pair of high heels and she was ready to go, or was she? What about the make up? She never use it before... Would it be too much? Also her hair, she has to brush it and make it look nice even though now is short and there is not much to do with it... Why is this so difficult?
As the birthday girl make their guest wait Bloom grab the plate with the appetizers and give them to Basile and Cinder "Jiaozi?" She ask, hopefully the food will make the wait go faster, also small talk could be good but the plant is not that good with it "How you guys been? Haven't seen you in a while although we haven't spend that much time in the digital world so it was hard to meet other tamers and friends"
That should work, keep them entertain telling stories until Miyu decides to stop being so scared and make her grand entrance

Cold Feet.
What a Misnomer, Basile thought as he entered Miyu and Bloom's home. He was anxious... this was new, and irritating. He was actually nervous of how the date would go... When did he become an average teenager? He was struggling to keep still and calm, the only real tell would be the twitches in his hands and at the corner of his mouth and the slight stiffening of his shoulders at times, seemingly at random as his thoughts ran away from him. What was the phrase the 'kids' used these days? Butterflies in the stomach? Yep. That Seemed appropriate.
Cinder just raised a 'delicate' eyebrow in response as she entered Miyu and Boom's Home, it was depressingly exactly what she'd expected from the Plant based duo. Plenty of 'natural' scents which was actually a pleasant change from the usual human city smell. It looked... fitting, not exactly Cinder's cup of tea but not entirely unpleasant. Though the decorations were a tad much and the apartment was smaller than anticipated. Cinder decided to address Bloom's comment.
Basile wasn't really paying attention to the interior of the home, he was far too distracted by the upcoming dinner date to really look around. Did he look alright? Was he too early? too late? Did he choose the wrong drink to bring? Would Miyu know that Cinder was wearing a holosuit? His paranoia running rampant, Basile still freaking out, tried the food offered by Bloom. Reaching out his hand, picking up one of the dough wrapped patties and placing it in his mouth. Oh! It was a dumpling! Lovely! Basile near immediately picked up another and tried the sauce offered. Bliss.
"Oh? To what are you referring? We are both important to our tamers are we not? It makes perfect sense that both of us would be present tonight, no?" Cinder retorted, not really caring for the suggestion that the pair should be in effect background characters to be ignored while Basile and Miyu go ahead in what is no doubt going to be a nauseating display of human courting rituals, the fact that Basile had used that foul smelling 'deoderant' was already an afront to her senses, she was not going to sit in the back like a child and twiddle her thumbs! Anyone dating Basile would have to put up with Cinder's scrutiny and presence most of the time if not at all times.
Basile was shaken out of his paranoia by the food and looked around Miyu and Bloom's home. It was somewhat intimate but not unbearably, the Lounge flowed into the Kitchen fairly seamlessly. Unsurprisingly he saw a ton of plants, some he recognised, some he didn't. Quite a few family photo's too if he wasn't mistaken. "It's certainly fitting 'Sumire'. Admittedly Bloom may have garnered some confused looks, its a fairly uncommon name for Humans. Cinder has it slightly easier than you in that regard. " Basile said, replying the question he'd caught before his Paranoia had kicked in.
Cinders nose caught the scent of Food and as much as it pained her to admit it, Miyu could cook pretty well. What had she been fed, They were definitely Pork Buns, Steamed if she remembered correctly. Buuut she couldn't remember the exact name and it was eating at her, it was impolite to ignore someones kindness, something her Tamer had argued with her about long into the night. She picked up a few, sniffing before popping them into her mouth, she loved the flavor of the meat and the sauce... the vegetables she didn't care for, but that was just her tastes. Her tamer was very confusing, Sometimes he was a goody-two-shoes, sometimes he was polite, but deep down he had an awful temper and while it was hard to bring out, she'd seen it erupt exactly once. Afterwords, she'd know exactly why they'd been matched up. Addressing Bloom's last comment Cinder replied "Oh, not much just lurking around the human world mostly, My Tamer got himself arrested though" Glee spread through her as she waited for the fireworks.

A smirk was drawn on the girl after hearing Cinder's comment, sure they are important for their tamers, they're partners for the rest of their lives, yet something was telling the disguised plant that there was something else behind Cinder's words you can call it a "hunch" but hopefully is just Bloom's mind overthinking stuff, in anycas it'll be best if she drops the bomb now, right?
"Indeed, I agree we are very important as much as anyone on this dinner But..." She made a pause to add a little of mystery and anticipation to what she was going to say "You know? It'll be a little rude if we try to rob the spotlight out of the birthday girl, don't you think?" Yup, that should deliver perfectly the message, this might be a night for everyone but above else it was Miyu's night
Speaking of the birthday girl she finally got out of her room the pink blouse and white skirt she found, she was also wearing a little bit of make up not too much but enough to be noticeable, specially on the lips as a faint pink color was visible, sadly what should've been a grand entrance it look more like a recently born deer learning how to walk.... First time using high heels... She should've had practice a little or not use them at all but well now turning back better learn how to walk or look like a pathetic Bamby for the rest of the night
"Welcome to my lovely and humble home" Miyu greet he guest with a little bow "I hope "Sumire" didn't make any troubles and sorry for the wait I should've been ready early but didn't want to ruin my clothes while cooking" Sounds like a fiar excuse instead of admittiung that she had nothing to wear, and if she already look like a deer now it was a deer in the headlights after noticint how well dress was Basile blushing with every passing second
"Awww Miyu and I where wanted criminals in WhiteWater, lying to the police and then attack them is not a good thing to do but we where in a tight situation, Miyu is an impressive quick thinker that took us out of th─"
"Bloom!" The Chinese girl interrupted her friend, why of all things did she had to bring that up? Of course she didn't knew of Cinder's previous comment
"Fine, fine, I won't say anything else... Want to accompany me to the kitchen Cinder? So the love birds can have their private time while us gossip a little about our prisson stories" She doubted this would make Cinder follow her and leave the two humans have a moment but it didn't hurt trying.

Waaaaaaaay too formal.
Basile thought to himself as Miyu emerged from presumably her bedroom, Dressed in a blouse and skirt, and yet here he was dressed in not-quite-a-suit. Though to make him feel better he noticed a bit of makeup on Miyu. The corner of his mouth stretching up into an easy smile that for the first time in the night hadn't been forced as he watched her try to walk in heels. Not the first person to make that kind of mistake, he was sure. A familiar smile stretched across his face as he watched Miyu blushing. He wondered if her 'game' had improved, he'd been left pleasantly surprised before, he was curious to see just how far she could go.
Cinder did something uncharacteristically kind to Miyu in that instant as she watched Miyu come out, stance wobbly and unable to walk comfortably. Cinder couldn't help but laugh, but she disguised it as a heavy coughing fit as she moved her hands over her mouth as Basile had taught her. Manners, Ugh. Letting out a few long rattling coughs as she made a show of getting her breathing under control, breathing deeply and exhaling loudly before her breathing went back to normal. Listening to Miyu speak granted Miyu some grudging approval, she was at least making an effort to look good for Her Tamer.
Basile looked over Miyu and with a mischievous glint in his eyes, said "Oh I assure you Miyu, you were certainly worth the wait" his voice dipping into his usual purr when flirting. What Bloom said next caught Basile off guard. Miyu and Bloom were criminals? Oooh. So the 'Femme-Fatale' Angle alongside the 'Cute Shy' Girl... Nice. Basile couldn't stop the smirk that stretched over his face as he continued speaking "Oh? Were you a naughty girl Miyu?" The smirk on his face couldn't grow any large as it had stretched as he was speaking.
Cinder was taken aback, eyes widening as Bloom casually made the reference that both her and her tamer were wanted too, Dear Yygdrasil, to be a fly on the wall at that moment, listening to Bloom's Tamer freaking out and panicking before lying her rear end off. To attack an official in the digital world though... that's bold, bolder than the digimon had expected from the formerly naive seeming pair. Hm... Maybe Miyu wasn't So bad for Basile after all, If nothing else Cinder could appreciate Basile loosening up on his moral code.
Basile didn't really wait for the fallout, Revealing the drink he'd brought with him and smiling as he said "Not sure how much you drink, but I thought it more appropriate to bring a special drink rather than some cheap store bought stuff. Careful though, it's quite strong." As he offered the bottle to Miyu, Said bottle even having a little pink bow wrapped around the head of the bottle. Truth be told, he wasn't sure how Miyu would react to the drink, he could only really hope she didn't take it in a negative way.
Cinder shrugged as she watched her tamer start in on their little game and sighed as she motioned for Bloom to lead the way, the last thing she wanted to do was watch more lovey-dovey-human courtship rituals. "Certainly, I can't wait to hear all the sordid details of your criminal enterprises. Im quite surprised and a little impressed if I'm honest, I didn't think either of you had it in you." Cinder spoke honestly, if bluntly. Cinder endeavoured to snag a few of the offered dumplings before she followed Bloom into the Kitchen, If nothing else, she could nibble on them while she listened.

Between Basile staring at her, Cinder with a coughing fit and Bloom dropping a bomb without context Miyu seriously wished for the ground to open up an eat her, suddenly al this didn't felt like a great idea, but fortunately for the girl her partner manage to take Cinder out of the room, now the two love birds were finally "alone" so she's the only one to blame if something makes her look bad and if she was already a little anxious and nervous Basile teasing didn't help her at all
"N-NO! I-I can explain it I swear!" She stuttered trying to think a way to explain it without making it sound worst "Yes. I lie to the police but it wasn't really a Policeman or should it be Policemon? I don't know! Thing is it was an evil digimon passing as the Police chief and─" Her rambling finally came to an end when the blonde show her the bottle he brought for the night "Oh? Thanks, tho I have to admit that I had never drink before but I still appreciate the gesture" She smiled warmly
Meanwhile on the Kitchen Bloom was holding as much as she could her laugh, Cinder truly thought that they did something bad and to be fair she DID attack the police but how many were actual Police that's something she doesn't know, but for now better feed Cinder with the details
"Well to be honest it started because we try to capture a Commandramon to interrogate him and while I was doing that Miyu went to look for our partners in crime, thing was the moment she left me the Commandramon's partner appear a BlackAgumon and a Saberdramon" The disguised plant went to the fridge as she talk and serve herself a glass of water and made a sign to Cinder asking if she also wanted a little "So when Miyu was going back to my location the police stop her and she decided to make a lie to go through "I'm a tamer from the union and I'm in a big and important case" she said and ran away towards were I was" She took a sip "And when she reach me I evolve and started fighting the recently evolved BlackGreymon and Saberdramon, when I turn around the police of White Water was behind me, cornered between the enemy and the police I did the one thing I could do to escape, spin around and shoot my thorns at everyhing around me, with that distraction we ran away"
Was that what Cinder expected? Who knows and it's obvious that Bloom omitted a lot of information but was that because she always tell her stories almost without context or this time was just trying to keep Cinder's attention and for her to ask, being honest getting praised from the spitfire was nice and she was still saving the best for the last

He could only really watch as Miyu ran the gambit of emotions, amused as ever. It was cute that she could get quite so embarrassed. Hell, if it came to it she and bloom could always just hide out in the human world till the heat died down. She was stuttering! how cute! Hm... an imposter police chief-mon? How exciting. Basile popped more dumplings in his mouth as Miyu spoke, he really liked Miyu's cooking. "Hm? That's a shame, I'd recommend drinking lightly then. I wasn't kidding when I said it was strong." Basile, actually relieved that she hadn't taken it in a negative light.
"Still, there's nothing to be embarrassed about. I've ran afoul of the law myself, it's nothing to be that concerned about. Circumstances differ though I suppose." Basile pondered, tapping his chin with a finger, laying out the bait for Miyu to take. Would she though? She was a kind girl, Naive to a fault but it worked for her, rather than irritating him like it did in his Manga. He moved over to the table and sat down, facing Miyu. His eyes roaming over her form, something was different... he couldn't tell exactly what... but something was... He hated not knowing and refused to ask.
Idly he thought back to that long cold night he'd been confronted by the Shibuya PD of all people in his hovel in the ghetto. All he'd wanted was his grilled cheese and his bed, but T'was not to be as he had been dragged out of his home by the 'fuzz' and down to the precinct. What was her name? Lily? No... close though, it was some flower. German last name too, what a weirdo... Basile thought, neatly ignoring the hypocrisy of that thought as he awaited Miyu's response.
Cinder popped another dumpling into her mouth, savouring the flavor of the meat, the richness of the taste, It's texture. As she listened to the excitable plant talk about her and her tamer's adventures. It wasn't a bad thing, she supposed listening to Bloom's somewhat excited speech. It was endearing in a manner of speaking. Cinder wordlessly shook her head as Bloom offered her water. Cinder listened to the tirade, nodding in all the right places. She couldn't help but scoff inwardly that Miyu had claimed to be from 'The Union'. Did that actually work? Oh god that might have actually worked on a digimon. Cinder was losing faith in her species.
Cinder listened much more attentively once Bloom mentioned fighting a pair of champions, if she wasn't mistaken. That was quite the feat, especially for a freshly evolved champion. She couldn't help the approval that surged in her black heart as she heard Bloom admit to resorting to a widespread attack to force the police to protect civilians and break off the pursuit. A smile spread across Cinder's face as she listened to the pla-- Bloom. Talk about her story.
"I'm impressed to be completely honest. I never thought you would have it in you to put bystanders at risk that way. But what you did was the right call, your partner is always the most important thing. I'd have done much the same if someone had threatened myself or Basile." Cinder admitted bluntly. A somewhat mean part of herself wondered if her approval filled Bloom with shame? Heh. Guess I'll find out. "I'm afraid that I don't really have any stories that can kind of match that one, Myself and Basile have yet to run afoul of Whitewater security. I'm sure I'll get him there someday, but right now he's going on about 'Morals' and 'Ethics' as if they have any meaning to a digimon." Cinder finished weary of her Tamers constant bleating about right and wrong.

Nothing to be embarrassed for sure but worry? That's a different story and while she tends to be casual when speaking about "bad" or crazy stories she has to generate interest, things with the police where serious stuff and she was trying to avoid the topic but Bloom decided to brought it up.
She look for a pair cups and sit in front of Basile waiting for the blonde to serve the wine, through her mind a thousand of questions were brought as to why would the man in front of her end up with problems with the Police, in the digital world was one thing and as she explained it wasn't really a real police and they had to do something quick to escape that tight situation
"Surely it was a simple mistake, right?" She ask disguising her worries with a smile, there was no way that could be something serious
Meanwhile on the kitchen the disguised plant smiled proudly as she not only got Cinder's attention but praise as well, that's a huge achievement and although she wasn't fully proud of endangering civilians she did what she was right to make sure Miyu's safety
"I did what I have to, there wasn't much time to think of another solution with those two champion in front of me and the police on my back" that was about it, as long as Miyu is safe Bloom will do anything
She tilted her head curiously at to what just Cinder said, ethics and morals not having a meaning to digimon? Yeah no, that's something Bloom strongly disagrees their morality is what differentiates them from more savage digimon that act on instinct like Kuwagamon
"I don't think so, our morals and ethics are what made us who we are and not wild monsters, I personally believe that everyone is good deep down and no one can be "evil" just because, our environment ant experience shape us to who we are" She could be wrong on that way of thinking but at this point there is no turning back on her beliefs "Go ahead, laugh and mock me, call me naive if you want, but that's the way I see things"

A mistake? Certainly, simple? not so much. Basile thought to himself as he picked up the whiskey bottle he'd brought, uncapping the bottle idly while he 'hummed' on how to start the story. It was simple enough to say "got arrested, was the wrong guy" but that was hardly engaging was it? Did he go dramatic? Yeah. Yeah he did. "Well, our tale begins not too long after we met actually, in the wee* hours of the morning, the night was chilly and I had just returned from an expedition into the digital world." Basile said, hamming it up just a little bit, as he poured whiskey into both glasses.
He paused in his story as he took a sip, the flavour and potency washing over his mouth in an instant, leaving a pleasant if not strong aftertaste as he swallowed. "As my partner napped In my bag, I walked through the greater shibuya ward, dodging all manner of Ne'er-do-well's as I walked home. As I walked in to my home, Cinder immediately made her way to my bed, content to keep sleeping. Yet a dull roar from my stomach made it clear I wasn't going to sleep immediately." Was he hamming up a little bit too much? Oh well. She would be interested right? Meh, not like the sandwich contributed much.
He sipped his whiskey again, refusing to rush down such a drink. "Near immediately as I was in the process of cooking, I was greeted by a knock on the door as I opened it, I was suspicious naturally, as I saw three police officers. At three AM. In the Ghetto. Asking me to go with them." Basile said emphasising the last three sentences to try and indicate that it was just a little bit off. Miyu was smiling... so that was a good sign right?
Well, the little flower had some fire to her after all. Heh. Yet there was an easy hole to poke in her argument. "I'm not saying you should rampage around and slaughter other digimon. But we as a species are... violence prone. One need only look at our own history. Besides, if you had to choose which would you pick, Your Ethics, Morals or Miyu. " Cinder looked for all the world like a human as she checked her holosuit's nails. Waiting for the fallout of what she had just said. She knew what Miyu would pick, she knew what she herself would pick. Hell, she knew what any digimon with a partner would pick. It didn't really matter in the end, the Bond changed you fundamentally.
"I quite agree, you had very little choice and in the end, your tamer takes priority over the nameless, faceless crowd." Cinder said, once again approval lacing her tone as she approved of the little plants dedication to her tamer. Though it was somewhat surprising that Bloom had assumed that Cinder would mock her for being naive. She didn't have to, Naivety like that would fade soon enough on it's own. Watching Viral's rampage across the desert... the desert. The Digimon that nearly killed the four of them.
"If there's no such thing as pure evil and that everyone is good inside, how do you explain the digimon that nearly murdered the four of us at the oasis? It took one look at the four of us and tried to kill off our tamers first before pouncing on us." Cinder said, curious as to Bloom's response, she hadn't planned on a philosophical debate with Bloom, but if nothing else it'd be bound to be interesting as they delved deeper into the little's plants psyche.
*Wee in this context is used as a replacement for "Small". It's a traditionally Scottish piece of slang.

Miyu listen carefully to Basile's story holding the glass of whiskey but not taking a sip yet, her eyes where completely focus on him and she lean forward a bit as the story progressed, in all honesty she'd love if the blonde could get to the point directly instead of going through every detail but she can't deny that he got her hook with the story
There where some things that she found odd about it and make her worry a little, the fact that Basile was living in Greater Shibuya was the biggest concern, she personally has not been there but all the stories and things she heard gave the Chinese girl that it was not the best place to live
Her smile fade a little as Basile finish part of the story emphasizing the last three sentence, cops, 3 am and the ghetto, yeah not the best place to leave some one hanging on the story, but finally give the girl to take a sip from the drink and he didn't lie it was strong.
"Yeap... This is definitely not water nor juice" She said closing her eyes a little as the effect of the first sip passed "I... I didn't know nor imagine you lived there" It was obvious she was worry and wasn't doing much efforts to hide it "So what happen next?
One thing could be said about Cinder, she knew where to poke and didn't fear saying what she thinks, of course that her question left Bloom in complete silence for a couple of minutes, any digimon would pick their partner above all else and Bloom too but at the same time everyone has a limit that they'd rather not cross and as partners both tamer and digimon should know and understand those limits
"I'd give my life for Miyu, in fact I almost did on our last adventure, had to spend 4 days in WhiteWater hospital because I push myself past my limits and the result of the fight end up with my core so damage that they had to reconstruct its data" Bloom said in a serious tone maybe if a little irritated as if a sensible button was pressed "Yet I am not sacrificing my beliefs and morals, I am not absorbing a digimon, I am not attacking an innocent nor weakned opponent, I have my limits and Miyu knows it and respects them as much as I respect her limits and decision of taking a break from the digital world"
Was that the answer Cinder was looking for? Who knows but certainly was a topic that Bloom didn't take lightly, the fact that the spit fire keep poking her now asking to explain the DexDorugamon in the dessert that attack them didn't help to light the mood of the plant digimon
"Not all digimon are rational, for all we know that thing was moving on pure instinct it's a DEATH X Dorugamon, I don't expect it to keep it's reason being just a zombie and shadow of its former self" A fair point or naive denial? Cinder will make the choice

Basile could only smirk as he watched Miyu react to the Whiskey, a common reaction for the uninitiated. The former question soured Basile's bravado slightly, his expression souring ever so slightly. His jaw setting and brows furrowing for a moment before responding 'It's not a nice place to live, but I don't really spend much time there. I never really stumped up enough to move because people tend to keep themselves to themselves. No ones going to really care if I come at three in the morning or with my clothes torn up. Theres a degree of... Privacy I suppose.' Basile said, his pained expression fading while he spoke. He didn't Like living in Greater Shibuya, but It was the best place for him to live and keep the secret.
His face morphing back to his happier expression he got on with his story. Pausing to sip his drink, 'Well after a fascinating car ride, I was escorted to an interrogation room and let me tell you. The Police force needs more funding. I was then subjected to the cutting-edge tactic 'good cop, bad cop' which is honestly pretty insulting considering they hadn't charged me with anything yet. ' Basile spoke, eyes roaming over Miyu's form again, unable to stop himself. She was an attractive young woman normally, but she cleaned up very well.
Cinder let out a low whistle at hearing that Bloom had nearly died, to fight in that state would have death be a near certainty. The fact Bloom did and succeeded was admirable, Yet it seemed Bloom was missing the point which was unfortunate. 'I never claimed that you should kill the weak or innocent. What I'm trying to ask that it in the end, If it comes down to You and Miyu dying or you having to kill another digimon, be they evil or good or neutral, which would you choose. This is assuming you have no choice in this,' Cinder finished as she stopped inspecting her nails.
'Certainly, not all digimon are rational and some move on instinct but the digimon that attacked us in the desert clearly had intelligence, look at the way it targeted our tamers. It didn't mindlessly hound us like it would have, hell you were in your Champion form and offered a lot more data than any of us. It should have mindlessly charged you, instead it attacked and nearly killed my tamer.' Cinder couldn't help the absolute Hatred that bled into her voice at that last sentence, she tried valiantly but it was easy to hear. Cinder found her hands clenched bringing up that bad memory, her nails nearly digging into her hands. Slowly, she let out a long breath and managed to unclench her fists. her body still far too rigid and stiff for a natural stance.

Hearing Basile's reason the Chinese girl had to agree, she never went to Greater Shibuya before but has heard stories of what lies there, definitely not a place she'd like to visit but at the same time maybe it's for the best as it seems not even the neighbors care
"I don't know if I could live on a place like that, it's admirable that you endure that just for the privacy of not getting questioned about it" She said with a half smile, it had his reasons but Miyu wouldn't say she's that thrill about it
She took another sip of the whiskey and kept listening to Basile's story at this point her smile came back as she heard they pull the classic "good cop/bad Cop" routine and that just made her laugh out loud, imagine the stereotypical old "big" cop with a mustache being all angry and violent while there is the young skinny one trying to calm him down and bribe with the suspect
"Sorry, sorry!" She said trying to contain her laughter "I just think it's so funny I thought that was a thing that only happened in TV!"
Meanwhile Bloom and Cinder didn't seem to be getting into an agreement by Bloom either missing the point or not wanting to face it, is it really that important tho? The plant sighed it would be best give in and tell the spit fire what she wants to hear
"Look... If I can avoid it I will, but if I truly have no option... And only if it means protecting Miyu and my friends.... I will" She said almost whispering the lasts words
That said she would love to change topics but we still are dwelling on what happen on the desert, a thing that in all honesty it frustrates Bloom, even if they won and both tamers are fine she can't help but blame herself for not being able to take care of the DexDorugamon before it hurted Basile
"I don't know... Maybe he was praying on the weakest links? You know? To weaken the will of the stronger?" Bloom sighed "Tho Miyu said something on our last adventure that I think it resonate with me "A tamer is only as strong as it's partner" and I belive that goes viceversa because I was down and ready to receive the final strike but Miyu who was already hurt crawl and then stood up between me and the digimon that I was fighting, seeing her risk her life that way just make something inside of me be ignited and gave me strength to keep fighting"

Admirable?
Was it really? to live in an awful ghetto for the privacy provided... that wasn't admirable. At least it wasn't in Basile's eyes and he frowned for a moment before rejecting the thought. If Miyu thought it was admirable, then let her have that opinion. Basile merely saw the choice of location as pragmatic, something logical. "That's a new one, Mon Chaton. I've been called many things I suppose, Some more fitting than others. Admirable is new, I guess I'll see if I like it or not." Basile said, a smile sliding back onto the Half-N-Half's face as he pondered the... compliment? He didn't really see himself as anything special.
His face moved through emotions as he took another sip of whiskey. He couldn't help but crack a smile again though as Miyu burst out laughing, the formality bleeding out as she started giggling like a schoolgirl... maybe she was... he'd never asked had he? He'd been so interested in her Digital adventures, that he'd neglected inquiring about her real world life. Sloppy. "[Until it happened, I'd have to agree. I'd thought all those buddy cop shows and movies had been acting out a stereotype, it's quite a reality shock to hear that the police actually used such...archaic tactics."
Basile took another sip as he idly felt amusement and a small nugget of affection from the bond... it wasn't aimed at him though... was Cinder actually starting to care about people? That was Cat's and Dog's living together, it's Mass Hysteria, It's Total Protonic Reversal. The thought slipped out before he could stop it and grew irritated with himself. He really should stop watching movies when he's injured, It always makes him loopy.
"Indeed, so after the children tried psychology or... whatever they class as psychology. They sent in the German Lady, she was a somewhat tougher nut to crack. She was aggressive from the get-go and seemed to be incandescent with rage from the fact I simply existed. So there I was, sitting across from this German She-Hulk who was growing slowly redder by the second, naturally I was fascinated. So at the seeming peak of her anger, I asked her to get be a drink." Basile finished with a smirk, seeming quite proud of himself for tweaking the german's nose.
Cinder sighed as she saw Bloom metaphorically wilt. Heh, Wilt. She had a purpose in mind, and while she certainly never expected to have a heart-to-heart with the plant digimon, this depression about being willing to kill will get Bloom nowhere. Naivety was endearing and though she'd rather choke on poison than say it, Cute. This self defeatist attitude would get Bloom nowhere. "Is there something wrong with that? Any person, human or Digimon would fight to death to protect the things closest to them. Does that make them evil or cruel?" Cinder phrased the question as neutrally as she could, trying to be honest without being biased.
Cinder may not care for big emotionally fueled rants, but she could agree with Bloom on her latter point. When something or someone you cared about was in danger, you went to places you never knew you had and did things you never thought you could. Hell. Her Rage, Shame and Guilt caused her digivolution after all. Later, after the battle Cinder came to the conclusion she hated that digimon. Hate was an easy emotion to focus on, you just had to remember all of the wrongs someone had committed against you. Some people claimed that Hatred was exhausting, a pretty speech to be sure, but it was in effect saying "I'll comply but I don't want to appear happy about it".
"I agree, when someone you care about is in danger, you find strength and emotions you never knew you were capable of. Still, I've asked quite a few questions of you and dragged alot of your feelings out, so I'll tell you something of my own. I consider the desert to be quite possibly the worst failure of my entire life." Cinder's tone shifted from agreeing and kind to harsh and filled with self-loathing. "My Tamer was nearly killed while all I could do was shoot spitballs at the enemy, I was helpless and weak. If not for your intervention I'd have died, and so would My Tamer. Whenever I think back to that moment, watching that attack hit my tamer. There are times I truly despise myself. A moment like that, will Never happen again."
The finality of that last sentence made it perfectly clear even to the most naive of people that Cinder would rather kill than allow her tamer to be in that position again. Her self-loathing, which she'd kept hidden from her tamer was out in full force and was likely not going away any time soon. She'd been telling the truth, there were times where Cinder truly hated her own weakness and watching her Tamer take that attack was one of them. That moment would stay with Cinder for the rest of her life.

It seemed that the compliment didn't went as the girl expected, it was hard to put it into words but in her eyes Basile was doing something she herself wouldn't be capable of, sure she would make a lot of sacrifices to keep Bloom safe and secret but to live on a place like that?
"Well, maybe I'm just a little easy to be amazed?" She shrugged "I sure know I wouldn't last too long on greater Shibuya before calling quits and going to somewhere else, but this says a lot about how much you care for Cinder putting her safety and secrecy over you is something I do find admirable"
Explanations aside she kept listening to the blonde's story and continue laughing as it develop, taking small sips of her drink she slowly got use to the flavor of it, and suddenly more laughing it was hard for the Chinese girl to keep a serious act when things like "German She-Hulk" were dropped
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I can't stop laughing! It's too funny!"
And once she manage to stop the fit of laughter she focus again on Basile's blue eyes and wait for the story to keep going as she play with her hair
Is there something wrong with that? Well of course there is, we should not be the ones deciding in who lives and who doesn't, we should not let ourselves fall into their game, show that we are better! Bloom wanted to say that, that's what she believes what her former self believed
"Why is so important to you? Why even answer when it's obvious that they don't share the same viewpoint? maybe if Cinder answer first Bloom will do it, but for now the best she can say is "I understand your point I just... Don't share it..."
What the plant did not expect was for Cinder to open up and admit that what happen on the desert was her biggest failure, she listen to what the sun digimon had to say and it all felt so natural and real, the plant could relate 100% to those feelings and she even thought of hugging Cinder just to give a little of support and confort, that's what Miyu would do but unlike Miyu the Palmon knows about personal space
"I understand.... If I'm honest it is my biggest failure too, there is not a single minute I keep blaming myself for my weakness and how I face that situation" She admitted "Tho you shouldn't beat yourself over that, learn from those mistakes so they don't repeat, but also remember that you're not by yourself" She instinctively move her hand to Cinder's shoulder and gave the girl a warm smile "We're a team, a digimon can only be as strong as it's tamer and viceversa, what I'm trying to say is... Don't hate yourself, I'm sure Basile doesn't blame you so why carry an unnecessary weight that will affect you negatively in the long run?
