"Somehow in my head I have this image of you clicking your tongue in disappointment, though, Miss Saboro?" Kon-chan countered, slightly in playful manner. "Either way I guess your friend might think that it's a harmless thing but it somehow caught some sort of interference of some kind... I suggest after all of this fiasco ended, we should go ahead and discard it somehow. Maybe it'll be like a certain cursed game board from a certain movie that calls new player through its drum-like beats."
"I never thought you love that sort of movie," Warg commented, amused.
"Robin Williams is very classic, thank you very much."
"Amen," Koharu echoed.
"Interesting to hear that you have boyfriend though, miss Saboro. I'm interested on what sort of guy he is. Whether the easily bulliable one, or the type that would bounce off things with you in fluid manner, fufufu."
...The book is getting more and more demanding. What the fuck.
"I'm a human for love of lord, are you going to kill me too, so I can join you in afterlife!? " Koharu can't help but to tsukkomi. "Seriously, you're the worst! An easy enough of a deal my ass! What can you possibly give me anyway to come to that sort of place? It's better be good!"
"...What's up with this thing," Kon-chan muttered. "A pervert, now someone who demanding a lot... I'm with my partner here. We have all the option to just dump both the book and the chest back to the oasis. What's in it for us?

Amy, disappointed? Nah, this situation, while a hilarious contingency, wasn't something that preoccupied the brunette all that much. "Not at all. Chances are I'm gonna dump this thing if it's pulling a fast one on me; after telling my friend, that is. I'm sure she'd want that book burned before it lays eggs or something. It can be terrifying at times."
And, while the only possible response at how Robin Williams was among those timeless actors was met with a sagely not, Kon-chan's own words towards her boyfriend weren't met with that much approval. And that was, to say the least.
A frown was evident on the young woman's face for a split second. "Why would that be interesting? Think I'm not charming enough to get a boyfriend?" Of course, that expression was rapidly replaced with a smirk. "Besides some less-than-desirable traits like his organization of choice, I'm very happy with him. I got really lucky, and would go as far as to say that he's better than anything any of you could get."
Some moments of silence passed by before a small giggle erupted from her mouth. "Just~ kidding!"
While worthy of a stand-up comedy show, those antics had to eventually end, their thunder stolen by the book and its crazy wishes. Like, did he really pretend for them to not only sneak a human side, but also by having them bury a corpse that didn't belong in such a city? Talk about a suicide mission.
The book sensed that, and was prepared to face such questions. That much was obvious. I'll give you something that nobody else can give you, HH; closure. I know that your past is more scrambled than a typical American breakfast™, and that there are many unanswered questions about it. Especially regarding a certain person that used to be a big part of your life, but disappeared in mysterious circumstances. How does that sound? Not gonna lie, that sounded terribly nonspecific, yet... vaguely alluring, even to somebody with no idea of what was up. Just like Amy.

"I think you should have a recording of this somehow just to strengthen your points to her. I mean, as much as I'm a Digimon myself, and I'm very well used to adventures of all sort, this sort of... 'possession', no matter how you call it, is something absolutely new for me. And I don't quite like it, frankly," Kon-chan told Amelie. Still, looks like she got herself a bit of a reaction. This is amusing.
"Well, for one, I thought you're the type that can silently, mysteriously pull someone to direction that you want. I have feeling if someone is unaware of what they face when they tangle with you, they might find themselves dealing with an eldritch being or something... literally, I think, considering your spirits."
Wow, that was a sick burn. Organization of choice? Something sounds like Amelie isn't happy about her boyfriend's choice of organization. There's part of her that wonders whether it's because they're in different leadership, if he's in evil organization or if it's incompetent.
"...I somehow doubted that, but I agree that perhaps he's better than a certain boyfriend who left her girlfriend out of nowhere for quite a long time without explanation and left his organization in shambles... just kidding."
"...I feel like there's a very pointed remark on that one," Warg commented.
Reeeegardlesss...
"...This book is one damn of a schemer..." Koharu muttered, gritting her teeth. It's true that among all of her friends, she's one that changed the most from her previous situation, so much that it's shocking to her to a degree where she just want to find out what makes her change and how. How does she able to change from an athletic girl, to apparently some big name proprietress in Digital World. Not only that, her name was very well known before her disappearance and subsequent amnesia.
"Fine, fine, dammit. Warg, Kon-chan, bring me some damned clothes material. I need to make something in a jiffy."

A recording? That was an interesting proposal, even if one that fell in the 'too much effort' category in the end. Katherine probably wouldn't need any proofs and would surely understand how her birthday gift had to be buried in a place that no human was supposed to visit, right? Amy was sure of it; the Spaniard was a mature and understanding girl, after all.
Or, maybe not. "Probably a good idea." She admitted while getting the necessary instruments ready. "I don't have a good feeling about this, but I guess it's better to prevent than to lament. Mom always used to say that."
Luckily, that topic would soon be left behind in favor of one that happened to be even even spicier, if that was even possible. Despite the accusation, Amy's face displayed a bit of a smirk on it.
"Is that an indirect way of calling me devious, Kon-chan? I can assure you couldn't be more mistaken regarding that. I'm just an innocent girl, and the people who follow me do so on their own free will; no mysterious convincing at all, I swear." Addressing the fact that she could become an eldritch abomination was probably unbecoming. Mostly because she didn't have a choice in the matter.
She didn't feel particularly touched for that offhanded comment, even though it seemed like there was more than what meets the eye regarding it; adopting an expression that denoted a certain degree of thoughtfulness, the brunette eventually shrugged. "I'm sure that your boyfriend had a good reason for doing something like that. Or not and he's an asshole; one out of two! In any case, it's probably not worthwhile to have a relationship with somebody who's absent. Those are as pointless as they come."
Not quite experience, but she knew almost firsthand how those tended to turn out.
On the other hand, the book was definitely the devious sort. The thing seemed to have Koharu in its papery grasp, yet also managed to provoke a fair deal of curiosity from the brunette. Quite cryptic when it wasn't a pervert; and probably... quite smart? That was concerning. Smart perverts are kinda the worst, in all honesty.
In any case, it seemed like their minds were set. Yet... a single question remained in the back of the brunette's mind. "So, what's exactly your plan, Koharu? Considering that we're probably in this together, I'd like to know what you have in mind."
Chances were that her physical well-being would be compromised as well, so being prepared just in case things didn't go as expected couldn't hurt.

"An innocent girl does not so readily offers a cursed book toward their acquaintance, miss Saboro," Kon-chan retorted. "Speaking of which, it's not my boyfriend, but I guess someone who's close enough to be called one, but not mine, so there you have it I guess?"
"More than that is complicated, so let's not talk about it, although honestly, some news would be great, but if there are none... well... I'll drink every year in their memories I guess..."
That aside... Koharu's plan eh? Kon-chan already can guess what it is. She brought leather, to which the girl cut hastily, as if trained with it. "I'm no pro," Koharu began as she start cutting at it, making pieces of the clothes. "But if I have about three days, or maybe two, I can make a perfect disguise for myself. There are a lot of Digimons with human looks. I'll enlist my friend's help if we have three... and we could have make a great looking disguise... and then buy the analog jammer. If anyone asked me to do some Digimon technique, I can plausibly trick them with ki arts. It's simple like that... I sadly don't see any other way for me to be able to enter El Doradimon without going such.... extra way, if you got what i mean. If you got better idea, stop me right now. At this point, what I want is hanging in front of my face, so obviously I want to know what's going on here."

Of course, in the face of the accusations that followed suit, Amelie couldn't but shrug. "Can't blame you if you feel that way, to be honest. From my point of view, it seemed that you just were eager to get to the bottom of that issue; no more than a misinterpretation of my part."
Tilting her head just a bit in puzzlement seemed like the obvious continuation in the face of what the Commandramon had said. "You speak almost as if your whole unit was killed in action or something. Don't know a lot about a soldier's jargon, but it almost sounds like somebody that might've been too precious to you was lost. Or... to somebody else, maybe? What do I know."
'Let's not talk about it' followed by a lengthy explanation on the reason behind that line of thought had the logical conclusion of fanning the flames of Amy's curiosity. Could she be blamed? Probably, but Kon-chan had some of the blame as well.
About what mattered, though? it seemed like Koharu already had a plan set in motion; did Amy have something in mind regarding how to sneak her in? Probably, yes. It kinda depended on whether Koharu would roll with it or not, in all honesty. "I mean, we can probably sneak into Eldoradimon without being detected for... a fair bit of time, I think. It'll involve you three being carried by one of my evolved forms for a fair bit of time, though. Think you can handle that?"
Most people despised the idea in concept alone; it wouldn't be surprising if Haru and her partners rejected it right away. "I can probably shroud us for... half an hour or so, I think. After that, things will get a little dicey. We won't have to deal with any security measures if we do that, but once our time runs out... we'll probably have to escape as fast as we can. That can be accessory to your costume if you want to prepare for the worst case scenario, however. I'm sure that a fursuit would look pretty cute on you."
It was a bit riskier, but also more likely to succeed? A weird plan, in all honesty. "You're probably the one that's more likely to get injured or worse if things go awry, so I'll leave the decision to you."
With any luck, this trip would be worthwhile. Otherwise... she was probably gonna get pretty angry at the book.

"Well I AM eager to get to the bottom of the issue, but not without getting myself haunted, thank you very much," Kon-chan answered. "I think no one would want that unless they're in occult club or something like that... And frankly, I'm farthest from occult lover. I'm a nonbeliever... until now I guess? Either way, not important."
Warg just chuckled at what Amelie said. "...Truthfully? Yes, yes it's something like that. Not an entire unit though, albeit I'm sure we'll still drink in their honor all the same. Yes, they're precious friends, I guess... and comrades. But what can be done when suddenly they gone MIA without much words?"
That aside... being carried by.... those eldritch abomination? "...I think I'll have to pass. Really, just how much time do we have? Because all I can think at the moment is how to complete this disguise for the moment. That aside, I think we should treat the ability of yours as last resort. Unless you means... you don't think that it's a plausible way..."
"What Koharu means is... do you think that people of El Doradimon would attack you, even though you use your spirits? Considering that you're... yeah, eldritch abomination..."
"...Do you have less... disconcerting form?" Warg asked in turn.
Fursuit though? "Naw, this ain't no fursuit. I'm just going to make myself pass as something like Bellestarrmon, but child stage. Something like Iguneetmon or something. Basically, simple for child stage, don't need to be elaborate, just simply... simple and can make me easily backs me lie up."

"See? My judgment wasn't that mistaken in the end. The only miscalculation was when I thought you'd want to keep the diary for yourself. Not as bad, right? In any case, it's not like there's any point in keeping on discussing this topic, considering that you don't want the thing; I just wanted for you to understand my posture. Anyhow, it's not like this is true occultism, right? I've seen way weirder stuff happen on a daily basis in the Digital World. That's what digimons are about, aren't they? They're great at defying common sense as if it didn't exist at all."
You had to be pretty down the rabbit hole to think that two talking dinosaurs (one dressed as a soldier, to boot) were a normal, everyday event in the Digital World and a talking diary wasn't. In any case, the description regarding the group's friends gone missing really did dampen the mood, but it was something that was more or less guaranteed to happen, all things considered. "I guess that's another grim reminder about things not being all fun and games in this world. The danger is real, and the slightest mistake, or even having bad luck at the wrong moment can cause you to... disappear, I guess. I'll toast to their memory the next time you decide to do that."
Of course, being carried for what amounted to an eldritch horror was something that most coherent people would avoid unless absolutely necessary. Putting the option in the table didn't hurt, but, just like the girl had said, it would probably be a last-resort type of thing. In any case... Amy couldn't avoid smirking at how genuine the response was. "It's pretty bad manners to call a lady an 'abomination', y'know? You're lucky I won't take that as an offense, just because you agreed to help." After a pause, her tone would get a lot more serious, though. "Using it as a get-out-of-jail-free card is probably the smart way to employ it. And... I don't know. As you might have guessed, I have never been to Eldoradimon. Besides the fact that I know they don't allow humans in there and that the place is constantly moving, I don't know a lot about it. What do you think? Would they attack my spirit forms?"
The implied message was more than clear; the brunette didn't have access to anything that looked more 'presentable', and that was a bit of a liability, to be honest. "That probably means you'll have to make a disguise for me as well. Maybe we can be sister digimon or something!"
Besides the joke about fursuits and that stuff, her words were very serious. Better to not risk it, right? "Unless you have a better idea, that is. We could always risk it, if you think that's the best way to get in there."
Being ignorant about the whole matter was frustrating. Why did a whole city, of all places, have to have such a strict anti-human policy. Like, what was even the point?

True occultism... She wondered about that. "...To be honest, have you found yourselves questioning what's 'understandable' and what's not anymore? By nature of AI, and if Digimons are supposed to be... following what human can do, then it's illogical of how advanced we are compared to your AIs. Not to mention, Digicores are essentially mini computer that pretty much... well, operates in not what your computer would do. It needs fuel in form of food, it can execute evolution program, then goes into power saving mode..."
"So what's your conclusion?" Warg asked.
"...I kinda wonder if we Digimons are far more complex than what people thought. It's more like... it's more like we're something like tsukumogami?"
"...So basically, we're something of a Digital Yokai."
"Something like that," Kon-chan commented, but then proceed to shrug. "Then again, this is just a wild guess. I'm a firm believer of 'I think, therefore I exist'. As long as it stayed like that, I'm me, I'm living, and that's enough for me... but at times, seeing these sort of things made me wonder, you know? What do you think fits the bill as "true occultism", Miss Saboro? Anyway. to me, talking diary is fine... talking diary with spirit of a deceased person? Thaaaat's where it get to occult shit."
So basically they have to make two disguises now. Koharu did not hesitate. She quickly took out a measuring ribbon and without much words other than simple "Excuse me", took and pretty much jotted down all Amelie's measurement. Now that they need to go to Terminus it seems.
"............So I need at least a day to complete good clothes for two of us. So with that being said, shall we head to Terminus, Amy? I also need to get some anti-analog jammer to hide my human signatures. This is not something that we can do without proper preparation anyway..."

Kon-chan definitely provided with an interesting argument. "Well, occultism is usually the study of the supernatural; the tricky part of it is what standards do we use to define what's supernatural and what not. There's a very definite limit of what is what in the Human World, but over here? It's amazing how blurry that line is. What metric can be used when all your notions of what's normal and what isn't are smashed to smithereens? I'm a bit surprised that the number of people who have lost their minds to the 'revelation' is remarkably low, but then again... I think that everyone prefers to not reflect on what happens around them as deeply as I do. Even if the truly supernatural can't be precisely defined, this world's mundane isn't that different from ours. You just gotta squint a bit and there's even a semblance of normalcy to it."
Those thoughts weren't something for the moment, and probably something that neither member of the trio was very willing to hear, anyway. Amelie was probably making quite the good impersonation of a madwoman at the moment, but it wasn't like she cared a lot about it. "Digimons themselves are an enigma; in a sense, I wouldn't say that you're the Digital World's youkai. I'd say that you're the humans. Y'all are quite alike us, at least in the sense that we're beings that, either by mistake, casualty, or design, are millions of years above the curve. Not very surprising that we're kindred spirits deep down, right?"
Nonetheless, that probably wasn't the answer the Commandramon wanted. Considering how she had digressed a bit, she procured to return to the heart of her question. "True occultism, at least by Digital World standards would be things without plausible explanation; I'm sure that this perverted book has an origin, and I think that it'll stick to its word, but... what about things that truly can't be explained? Things like the D-Reaper, for example. I'd rather not get close to that thing again if I can help it, but the whole deal regarding its origins and why it was supposedly corrupted is kinda shrouded in mystery."
In a sense, the thing was a primal force of destruction, which... was pretty strange, even by Digital World standards. "But each to their own, I guess. I think that your opinion is valid, and I'm pretty much discussing minutiae at this point." It was probably the best way to finish this conversation, especially Koharu was now done taking her measurements. Talk about efficiency!
"Let's go. I wouldn't resting a bit since today has been rather exhausting. I know about a pretty good place near my old office in Terminus. We can probably get some drinks and some rest there."
Guess it was time for Van Eltia to set sail! Next destination: Terminus. [Exit Thread]

"Mmm, to be honest I have to agree. But I think in your case it's simply because you're from other world. Thus, your notion of what's 'normal' and what's 'not' has indeed smashed, and it instead turn into "Accepting what's not normal as 'ah it's part of things local would understand'". But I think in this case, I don't feel this is normal. This is like some loophole that I'm not sure whether it's pandora's box or just regular box of secret. My reasoning in questioning your stance is more to... honestly, is it worth the risk?"
Koharu obviously decided that it worth the risk... but then does Amelie feel that it worth the risk for her? Granted, it's been too far for her to pull out of this... but...
"...Miss Saboro, what will you gain from this other than feeling of safety or satisfaction and content feeling of solving a mystery?"
Well, calling them humans are kind of right... "I guess you're right, but even then at times I keep wondering how discrepancies between human world technology and digital world technology and its AI happened. Why isn't it in similar axis? What's stopping humans from creating AI advanced enough that they become Digimons?"
D-Reaper... Kon-chan has heard of it, but the origin is questionable indeed. "...I guess there are too many unexplained thing in this world. Speaking of which, I think there was some theory that says Sunken Elysium is data dump from another Digital World or something."
Exhausting is right. Either way, enough with discussing these sort of stuff. Time to... probably nap until Terminnus... wait, she can't. This shit is still around.
"...Can we just... I dunno, get some separate baggage for this thing? No? Fuck my life."
