"Ah, that's the best thing about all this... no call-ups!"
Quite! 'Participants' were put behind a pane of glass - close enough to use Digivices but otherwise safe from the shenanigans of the fight - while those inside would find themselves in a rather direct battlefield. They stood on a stable circular platform, about a hundred feet in length. Those that tested the surface would find it to be a thick black rubber material - one that made it difficult to slide but definitely made it easy to trip and faceplant if one made a sudden stop. But why such an interesting material?
Well, for one, at the edges of the platform was an ominous black pit - and a further ten feet out, and in a dome above that measured seventy feet at its tallest point - was a tight grid of red and blue sparking wires. "But honestly, the fight here is simple! Normal rules apply - fight until your opponent concedes or is deemed unfit to continue. But if you fall down the hole? Then you're automatically out! Oh, and don't think you can be too clever with wings!"
The Scout sent a bullet out towards the grid - at which point it charred right up into black dust! "Heh! Hitting or getting pushed into this edge will put a strong current through your body. I don't care what your supposed electrical resistance is - get hit with this bad boy and you're going straight down. Now if there are no questions... well, get to it.
Fight!"

Well, that was fast. Without even being given a warning, both Amelie and her assigned opponent had been dragged to the area, just as a flurry of quick rules had been spewed quite rapidly. They seemed easy to remember, but very important nonetheless. Hopefully, the brunette would be able to remember them all! In any case, she took a moment to gaze at what would be their battlefield, and then at her opponent and his tamer. They looked like good people; that was always nice. "Pleased to meet you," Amy spoke, referring to the two beings, then bowing as a sign of respect. "Let's have an exciting battle." Probably not the most common show of sportsmanship, but, at least for her, it seemed better than the usual —and likely hypocritical— 'good luck'. Recovering her stance, a ring of fractal code began to form on her left hand, while her right tightly held her digivice. Time to evolve! Dirgemon made her appearance right afterward; once everyone was ready and the signal was given, it seemed like the initiative would fall on her. Failing to move an inch for the time being, a gigantic arbalest manifested in between her delicate arms; a split second afterward, a 'bolt' that probably was bigger than Dirgemon herself was sailing straight towards Levi's chest. A simple but effective attack, potent enough to inflict a fair bit of damage if it hit. Perfect to set the fight in motion.
Turn recap! —Amelie evolves to Dirgemon.
—Dirgemon uses Expiate, aiming at Levi's chest.
*Expiate: A massive cross-shaped crossbow bolt (think more or less of the size of an utility pole) is somehow mounted on Dirgemon's arbalest. Betraying its appearance, this attack is almost lightning-fast and surprisingly accurate, but its strongest point is its almost inhumanly long range. Cooldown: 4 posts. Keeping track of Ability stuff. —Stolen Memento becomes replaced by Slip Through Time. *Stolen Memento [Passive Ability]: This ability can be replaced by any passive ability this digimon has learned about. When this ability changes, it must remain active for at least three posts before being able to be changed again.
*Slip Through Time [Passive Ability]: Through some tinkering and bending, digimon is able to twist the laws of time just a bit. Every other post, she can act twice in the same round.
—Willful Desire becomes replaced by Martyrdom. *Willful Desire [Passive Ability - RAM Upgrade Giga]: This ability can be replaced by any passive ability this digimon has learned about. When this ability changes, it must remain active for at least three posts before being able to be changed again.
*Martyrdom [Passive Ability]: For every two harmful attacks this digimon is subject to, all her active cooldowns are decreased by one post. If she actually gets in the way of an enemy attack going in an ally's way, these cooldowns are decreased by one post for each harmful attack that would reach her.
—Surreal Memoir becomes replaced by Expiate. *Surreal Memoir [RAM Upgrade]: This ability can be replaced by any active ability this digimon has learned about. This ability is subject to the cooldown of the last ability that it mimicked. When this ability changes, it must remain as it is for at least three posts before being able to be changed again.
Amelie's 'known ability' list for the purposes of this battle. —Passive Abilities ——Eternal Scourge: If this digimon would be defeated, it remains active on its very last legs instead. Unless given enough time to recover, the next time it'd receive damage from any source, it's done for good. Usable only once per fight. ——Martyrdom: For every two harmful attacks this digimon is subject to, all her active cooldowns are decreased by one post. If she actually gets in the way of an enemy attack going in an ally's way, these cooldowns are decreased by one post for each harmful attack that would reach her. ——Slip Through Time: Bending the laws of time, this digimon can attack twice per post every two posts. —Active Abilities ——Expiate: A massive cross-shaped crossbow bolt (think more or less of the size of an utility pole) is somehow mounted on Dirgemon's arbalest. Betraying its appearance, this attack is almost lightning-fast and surprisingly accurate, but its strongest point is its almost inhumanly long range. Cooldown: 4 posts. ——From Beyond: Teleports to the location of the user's choice, given the user has been in person on that place before. Cooldown: 2 posts. ——Lay on Hands: Dirgemon's hands glow with faint, pink light as she places them along the wounds of an injured being. Ends up healing some (25%) of the target's wounds. Cooldown: 3 posts.

"The nerve of that thing!" was Levi the Veemon's first observation upon being teleported into the ring. "What would I have done if I hadn't handed my hat off to Alan when I did? That thing's important to me!"
"It seems we've both been placed in a disadvantage in the bracket," observed Alan, with a hint of sorrow. "Even so, may we both strive with passion towards our conflicting goals!" Both tamer and digimon returned the bow in unison. Alan held up his white-and-blue D-3 digivice with golden highlights, and with a flash of a similar golden shimmer, Levi rapidly transformed into the ultimate Magnamon, pointed helmet and colossal spaulders protruding, shining like the points of a star. Not a moment went by before his right hand shot to his left waist, encased now in crackling lightning. At the appearance of the arbalest, he drew his hand forward with another flash and a thunderous boom, lightning coalescing into a large one-handed sword as he moved, and slashed the immense projectile from its path. With a moment's delay for the right hand to clear the way, the left hand, too, drew a blade, this one of flame, and briefly lit the air as it passed.
Weapons in hand, Levi readied himself for what would, no doubt, be an fun fight, regardless of results.
-Levi digivolves to Magnamon (Ultimate.)
-Levi counters Expiate by summoning Virtuous Blades.
Virtuous Blades - Magnamon summons two one-handed blades - one of fire, one of lightning. These blades last for two posts, but can be dismissed before then. 3-post cooldown. Duration remaining: 2 posts.
Irrelevant Information:
-Alan may or may not have swooned during this turn.

So much for that. Dirgemon's arbalest disappeared in the same hammerspace that had summoned it; unlike Levi's weapons, it had no business remaining in between her arms. An inconvenience until it was needed again, more or less. This had been one of the three most likely outcomes for the digimon's action, and that meant she had to act accordingly. If the Magnamon wanted to fight defensively, then Dirgemon would have to put him on a clock, so to say. "Nema. Itcnas, Sutirips te, Iilif te, Sirtap enimon ni." The digimon whispered while one driving one of the very long nails of her right hand into her left arm; a small section of her robes were immediately stained red, but that almost seemed like a footnote when a series of cryptic glyphs began to be drawn on their extension. Even if there was no immediate effect, the whole thing had been quite showy. Right afterward, Dirgemon tapped her staff against the ground below her. After that? A gust of sharp wind was blown in Levi's direction; not as easy to deflect as a crossbow bolt, yet way less damaging. Time to see what he would do regarding that one.
Turn recap! —Dirgemon gains an additional attack due to Slip Through Time.
—Dirgemon uses Sacrifice and receives a bit of damage due to it.
—Dirgemon gets healed a bit due to Sanctity.
—And then performs an unnamed attack, targetting Levi.
*Slip Through Time [Passive Ability]: Through some tinkering and bending, digimon is able to twist the laws of time just a bit. Every other post, she can act twice in the same round.
*Sacrifice [RAM Upgrade]: This ability is triggered by Dirgemon causing a small wound to herself while muttering a prayer to her deities. As time passes, her robes begin to glow with eldritch runes as their fabric progressively changes colors. Sacrifice deals a small amount of damage to Dirgemon for every post it's active. It can be canceled and/or executed at any moment during her posts. The attack's exact properties depend on how much time it was active before being executed. These effects are cumulative. *1 Post: Dirgemon instantly evolves into any digimon of the Delirium element, not needing an action to do so. If the evolution is successful, the new digimon gets an additional action this turn. *2 Posts: Upon evolution, the digimon's healed from any damage Sacrifice dealt to her. *3 Posts: Upon evolution and for three posts, the digimon gains a massive (100%) boost to their attack power and speed. *4 Posts: For the rest of the fight, the new digimon gains access to up to two abilities from Dirgemon's move list, adjusted to the new form's current level. Willful Desire, Stolen Memento, and Surreal Memoir can't be chosen this way. Duration: Variable. Cooldown: Once per fight.
*Sanctity [Passive Ability]: Fortitude isn't just an one-time blessing. It's a boon that's everpresent wherever Dirgemon goes. At the end of each of her turns, she regains a small portion of her maximum health.
*Devotion [Passive Ability]: Single-minded devoutness and dedication has strengthened Dirgemon's will and resolve, steeling her mind and bolstering her spirit to new heights. Her unnamed attacks cause the same amount of damage than a named attack with no cooldown would.
*Expiate's Remaining cooldown: 4 posts. Keeping track of Ability stuff. Slip Through Time: has been active for 1 post. *Martyrdom: has been active for 1 post. *Expiate: has been active for 1 post.

Under normal circumstances, Levi would have considered Dirgemon carving up her own arm a perfect chance to strike, but for some reason, it seemed she was the only one who had time to do such a thing.
"Blech. Time foolery. Is this King Crimson's ability?"
"If she's King Crimson, then you're Golden Experience Requiem!"
Magnamon responded to the blast of wind by jamming his sword of flame into the ground, using it as a handle. With his free arm, he would send the blade of lightning spinning against the current of air, aiming for the arm of Dirgemon which bore an open wound, just off-center from aiming straight ahead. That sword would dissipate into blue sparks soon after - in one sense or another - passing the point where the target stood. However, in the same movement, and while the sword was still flying through the air, Magnamon's newly-freed hand would gather light into a blinding blinding, burning laser beam, about as large in diameter as, or perhaps larger than, either competitor. Though the initial blast would be aimed at Dirgemon, he would rapidly move his aim left, right, and slightly down to maximize the chances to deal damage and area covered, all within the short time that the blast would last. As a result, roughly 35% of the arena of Dirgemon's side would be left with glowing scorch marks, as one might expect from such an attack. In the moments after the beam had stopped, every single area of the ground that the laser had touched... flared up and exploded. These explosions didn't damage the structure of the floor at all, but they tried their darnedest to damage the structure of anything standing on top of them.
-Levi drives the Virtuous Sword of Flame into the ground to use as stability against the gust of wind.
-Levi dismisses the Virtuous Sword of Lightning by sending it spinning horizontally through the air, in the direction of Dirgemon's left side, then uses Line in the Sand on the other side of the arena.
Virtuous Blades - Magnamon summons two one-handed blades - one of fire, one of lightning. These blades last for two posts, but can be dismissed before then. 3-post cooldown. Lightning Dismissed, Duration of Flame remaining: 1 post.
Line in the Sand - Magnamon quickly draws a glowing curved line in a wide arc on the ground in front of him using a large laser. Moments later, the line explodes, damaging anyone who was standing on top of it. 3-post cooldown.

For the second time... so much for that. Credit where credit was due; thus far, Levi was doing a very good job at weathering Dirgemon's attacks. By now, it was more than obvious that the conventional tactics weren't going to work on him. That much was a crucial piece of information. What wasn't as valuable was the duo's attempt at humor. What could Amelie say? Despite there being prizes in the line, this wasn't a fight to death; more like, a somewhat friendly competition, wasn't it? A chuckle escaped the digimon's mouth right away. "What can I say? It just works.." At plain sight, it seemed like that friendly bout of banter had distracted Dirgemon from the oncoming blade. The truth? A real offensive what the opportunity she had been waiting for. Risking becoming a veritable pyrotechnics spectacle, her robes' colors paled to stark white, the runes previously drawn on it turning yellow as the thrown blade was embedded in her arm. Would the pain that Levi was going to experience be a warning of what was to happen next? To say the least, the puppet did her absolute best to stand in the devastation that'd be her opponent's next attack. Was the laser and its subsequent explosion damaging? Yes; and despite Dirgemon's best attempts at remaining collected, she couldn't avoid huffing under the onslaught. For now, she just stood her ground, taking a couple of seconds to recover from that ordeal. "That wasn't half bad." Only after doing her best impression of an overly cheesy villain, she added. "But I thought you could do way better than that. Hope I didn't overestimate your abilities."
Turn recap! —Dirgemon Stands completely still.
—Dirgemon receives a bit of damage due to Sacrifice.
—Dirgemon gets healed a bit due to Sanctity.
—Dirgemon uses Heresy.
—And then gets hit by the Virtuous Sword of Lightning and Line in the Sand.
—Since Dirgemon got hit by 2 attacks, Martyrdom triggers and reduces all her active cooldowns by 1.
*Heresy: A variant of Atonement, this time unleashed at full power. Dirgemon's robes turn snow white and the inscriptions on it adopt a sickly yellow tone. For the duration of this ability, any enemy that attacks her suffers the damage she would and becomes afflicted by any ill effects she might be subject to. Duration: 3 posts. Cooldown: Once per thread. Keeping track of Ability stuff. Slip Through Time: has been active for 2 posts. *Martyrdom: has been active for 2 posts. *Expiate: has been active for 2 posts. *Expiate's Remaining cooldown: 2 posts. *Sacrifice has been active for 2 posts. *Heresy's remaining duration: 3 posts.

"KEEEEEHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!" Levi let out a deafening screeched as he suffered his own inflicted burns. It wasn't an ability, and it was nothing special, but laughing maniacally, he had found, was the response to pain that best worked in his favor, intimidating any enemies who lacked confidence, as well as strengthening his own morale. It was important to assume the role of the madman
Yes, it hurt. Smarted, even! How flattering! But nonetheless...
Levi grabbed his sword and dashed forward, skating across the air, immediately above the ground by use of his rocket-propelled boots. At the end of his charge, he'd swiftly slash his sword, stopping dead just behind Dirgemon's head, and while in this holding position, draw his feet up to Dirgemon's midsection, and fire a blast from the soles of his boots to attempt to propel her to the outer pit of the arena, and in turn, the dragon would be propelled back and away, towards his side of the ring again. While soaring backwards, seeing as his sword of flame was about do run its course, he tossed it back in the direction he was moving away from, and landed by catching his heels on the rubber ground and kicking himself back up to his feet.
-Levi is indirectly damaged by the Virtuous Sword of Lightning and Line in the Sand through Heresy.
-Levi attempts to grab Dirgemon and Propulsion Kick her off of the platform, as well as propel himself backwards, dismissing the Virtuous Sword of Flame by throwing it in the general direction of Dirgemon.
Virtuous Blades - Magnamon summons two one-handed blades - one of fire, one of lightning. These blades last for two posts, but can be dismissed before then. 3-post cooldown.
Virtuous Blades duration is over. Cooldown remaining: 3 posts.
Propulsion Kick - Magnamon raises his foot high enough to deliver a kick with the bottom of his rocket-propelled boot, while simultaneously activating its propulsion, adding a burst of flame to the force of the kick. 1-post cooldown.
Cooldown remaining: 1 post.

There you go, first blood. Even if it was something that technically Levi had scored, it meant that the fight had finally beginning to gain momentum rather than just being staredown where the Magnamon had managed to deflect all of Dirgemon's attacks. In a sense, it signaled that things were about to get very personal. And quite damaging, possibly. What about the immediate developments, though? Levi seemed to have taken the sudden backlash quite badly, judging how, right now, he was laughing maniacally. Either that, or he was an utter masochist; in either case, it wasn't like Dirgemon cared much about the reaction itself, but more about what had followed. He was charging, forward. Of course, the digimon would honor that challenge, dashing forward to meet her opponent head-on. While she did the minimal of efforts to avoid the sword hitting anywhere vital, she let both the sword slash strike her, yet managed to prepare a small surprise for the Magnamon right before his boots impacted on her midsection. "The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear?" The puppet digimon's robes would once again briefly change colors, this time becoming green for a split second. Not much else could be said; Levi's attack had, once again, managed to fairly injure Dirgemon, but the same could probably be said in return. Dirgemon was pushed back by the force of the assault, but managed to regain her footing before the pushback was significant, mostly due to the ground's rubbery texture and going as far as to embed her nails on it for additional stability, all while narrowly avoiding the burning sword by timely ducking. She didn't have time to gather her bearings, however. Especially since Levi seemed to be regaining his footing as well! "The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?" Not a moment afterward, a potent shockwave was racing straight towards him. Right behind? Dirgemon had finally gathered her bearings back and was quickly moving towards the center of the arena.
Turn recap! —Dirgemon receives a bit of damage due to Sacrifice.
—Dirgemon gets healed a bit due to Sanctity.
—Dirgemon gets grabbed by Levi.
—Uses Atonement before receiving the brunt of Propulsion Kick.
—Narrowly avoids the Virtuous Sword of Flame.
—She gains an additional attack thanks to Slip Through Time.
—And then uses Psalm in Levi's general Direction.
*Atonement: After a short verse, Dirgemon's robes glow with a pale green hue for a couple of seconds. The next time she would receive damage, whoever caused that damage is subject to the same amount of damage. Duration: up to 5 posts. Cooldown: 2 posts.
*Psalm: A shockwave is unleashed in the form of a gentle word or a short sentence. Deals a high amount of damage to the first target it hits. If it fails to damage an enemy, however, Dirgemon can choose to recover an amount of health equal to half the damage this attack would have dealt. Cooldown: 3 posts. Keeping track of Ability stuff. *Expiate's Remaining cooldown: 1 post. *Heresy's remaining duration: 2 posts. *Sacrifice has been active for 3 posts. *Martyrdom's current hit count: 1 hit.

Levi hadn't expected that his earlier move would win the fight - not that he lacked faith in his own abilities, but rather, that it was generally agreed upon that these types of conflicts never resolved themselves without at least a pinch of drama. What's this one do, huh? the image of a knight wondered to himself upon seeing more of the fantastic light show that was his opponent's robes. Not much pondering was done before time hooliganry placed yet another attack sailing in his path, this one without a clear form, like the wind, but much more dangerous. With very little time to spare, Levi enveloped himself in a golden sheen and dashed forward much more, the shield disappearing as it stilled the encroaching shockwave, at least where it was in his path. Still moving forward, he welcomed Dirgemon's advances with suddenly open arms, moving to grab onto his opponent by the arms, and - given that she was where he wanted her - would attempt to pick her up and swing her with great force to the side, then use his jet boosters to levitate slightly above the friction of the rubber floor. By doing this, he could build up a spin more easily, though only for a few moments, and quickly fling Dirgemon off in any outwards direction. The magic punishing robes were troublesome, yes, as well as the reason he was now switching to an indirect approach for the time being, but what would he be if he let that make him waver?
...Levi wasn't sure, but he knew it was something he didn't want to be.
-Levi weathers Psalm using Preventative Measure γ.
Preventative Measure γ - Forms a temporary light barrier to completely block one attack at ultimate level or lower, or reduce damage from one mega level attack by 50%. 2-post cooldown. Cooldown remaining: 2 posts.
-Levi moves to hold Dirgemon and toss her with great force away from the center of the arena.
Cooldowns: Virtuous Blades - 2 Line in the Sand - 1 Propulsion Kick - 0 - Ready Preventative Measure γ - 2

Being at point-blank range of a Magnamon was probably not the smartest idea, but at least right now, Dirgemon's sense of self-preservation was remarkably low, but the alternative had felt like a losing fight; at least right now, things had been moving, right? In any case, she kept on advancing directly into Levi's grasp. It seemed like a bad move at a glance, but when the answer was him literally trying to throw her back, the puppet couldn't help but smile at such development. A somewhat close-range digimon wanting his long-range enemy away could only mean that things were going rather swimmingly. Not to say, than just tossing her back like a ragdoll didn't incur into the damage or the significant pushback than ramming her with his boots had managed to deal. "Come on. Is that all you ve got? Don't tell me you're getting tired already." Maybe the taunt wasn't really fitting for the situation, but the truth was that the move on itself had been found... wanting by the digimon. In any case, it wasn't like she'd wait for Levi to act more intensely before pressing the assault. She regained her footing rather quickly, all while the arbalest materialized in between her arms again. Not a second afterward, a bolt was already sailing in the Magnamon's direction. Maybe this time, it'd hit, but even if it didn't, it wasn't that big of a deal.
Turn recap! —Dirgemon gets healed due to Psalm failing to damage Levi.
—Dirgemon receives a bit of damage due to Sacrifice.
—Dirgemon gets healed a bit due to Sanctity.
—Dirgemon gets on Levi's hold and is tossed back
—And then uses Expiate on Levi after regaining her footing.
*Expiate: A massive cross-shaped crossbow bolt (think more or less of the size of an utility pole) is somehow mounted on Dirgemon's arbalest. Keeping track of Ability stuff. *Atonement's remaining cooldown: 2 post. *Psalm's remaining cooldown: 3 posts. *Heresy's remaining duration: 1 post. *Sacrifice has been active for 4 posts. *Martyrdom's current hit count: 1 hit.

Dirgemon's taunt was not seen as inappropriate for the situation by Levi. As a matter of fact, it might have been one of the more damaging things to hit him during the match.
I-I don't exactly "got" much more... he sighed. He rather inelegantly gasped and tripped twitched to the side, effectively dodging the bolt my falling onto his butt, but recovered in a swift and gymnastic fashion. Oh jeez, she finally used it again. The suspense was killing me!
"YES!" cried the Magnamon, feeding the emotions of the momentary embarrassment from his fall into something much grander. "That's all I've got! I'm no wizard, no witch, no warlock, no priest, no puppet, no time god!"
In what Levi himself could mistake for a choked-up rage, he closed the distance yet again with his rocket boots. "I'm nothing but a seven-trick pony!!!" He raised his fist to strike swiftly at Dirgemon's face. This movement was indistinguishable from that of your everyday face punch, as the dragon truly intended for it to be one. At the height of his momentary drawback, however, his balled up fist fired a heavy cannon-ball like projectile at nearly pointblank range into Dirgemon's face, following up by proceeding with the punching motion as if nothing had just happened, and as if there wasn't a big ball of what was essentially transparent, glowing metal between his fist and its target.
"...and I'm not a caiman either, but I think they're cute."
-Levi clumsily dodges Expiate by throwing himself onto the ground at the sight of it.
-Levi closes the distance again and fires off a Spherical attack at nigh-point-blank range at Dirgemon's face in the middle of a punch, following through by punching said Spherical attack into her face, should it connect.
It's Spherical! - Magnamon fires a sphere of light at a target. Apart from being a glowing ball of light, it is similar to a cannonball. No cooldown.
Cooldowns: Virtuous Blades - 1 Line in the Sand - 0 - Ready Preventative Measure γ - 1
Flavor of the Day:
-The insecurities expressed herein are real beliefs which were held at the time by Levi "Magnamon" Pantell. After the battle, regardless of the result, Alan will learn this and much comforting will ensue.

Tch. Another miss. It wasn't hard to say that Dirgemon's frustration regarding those was beginning to grow, yet... she managed to rein herself in the nick of time; it wasn't like her to lose her composure so easily, yet... the fact that she had progressively changed her own being wasn't very far away from the truth either. With any luck, that'd hopefully break the tense tie that was this fight and decided put her at an advantage. That was a big if; one that would get answered rather soon, however. A rather entertained chuckle came from the digimon's throat at Levi's rallying cry. "A seven trick pony, huh? Let's see how that goes." For a second, time seemed to stop as the glyphs on the puppet's robes glowed brilliantly before they were torn to shreds; as they unraveled, a thick, bright pink brume emerged, temporary obscuring the sight of everyone around. Not enough to be an obstruction to the fight at hand, unless the sudden appearance of something that definitely wasn't Dirgemon counted. The new digimon could only be described as an amorphous hulk comprised of various nondescript tissues. Right away, the digimon proceeded to skitter aside in an amazing show of unbridled energy, managing to evade Levi's punch while charging directly into the Magnamon and unleashing a flurry of sharpened appendages in his direction. Whether those hit or not, Heraldmon would then proceed to try to smash Levi down with its bigger forelimbs; even if the initial impact was avoided, the shockwave that followed would be harder to evade. The attacks on themselves had been rather terrifying in both power and energy; a notable deviation in comparison to Dirgemon's otherwise graceful fighting style. Time to see how Levi would take it
Turn recap! —Dirgemon receives a bit of damage due to Sacrifice.
—Dirgemon gets healed a bit due to Sanctity.
—Dirgemon triggers Sacrifice (4 posts active), instantly slide evolving to Heraldmon, getting healed by all the damage Sacrifice dealt to her, gaining a 100% boost to both its attack and speed, gaining an additional action this turn, and adding both Devotion and Psalm to its move list for the remainder of the fight.
—Using its newfound speed, Heraldmon evades It's Spherical!.
—Then proceeds to use a basic attack on Levi, followed by Psalm. Reminder of the abilities that are now part of Heraldmon's move pool: *Psalm: A shockwave is unleashed in the form of a gentle word or a short sentence. Deals a high amount of damage to the first target it hits. If it fails to damage an enemy, however, Dirgemon can choose to recover an amount of health equal to half the damage this attack would have dealt. Cooldown: 3 posts.
*Devotion [Passive Ability]: Single-minded devoutness and dedication has strenghtened Dirgemon's will and resolve, steeling her mind and bolstering her spirit to new heights. Her unnamed attacks cause the same amount of damage than a named attack with no cooldown would. Keeping track of Ability stuff. *Atonement's remaining cooldown: 1 post. *Psalm's (Dirgemon) remaining cooldown: 2 posts. *Sacrifice's (buff) remaining current duration: 1 post. *Slip Through Time has been active for 1 post. *Martyrdom has been active for 1 post. *Expiate has been active for 1 post.

Truth be told, it caught Levi by surprise that the digimon, previously known as Dirgemon, actually dodged this time. Knowing not to let the opponent remain out of his sight for long, he whirled around and jumped back, gasping at the ensuing flurry of blade-like appendages. Magnamon chided himself for letting any shock slip. Obviously she would be attacking as soon as she got behind him! Why'd he have to show weakness? No, he couldn't waste time thinking like that. It was time to get a read on this new form of his adversary. Levi hated letting a fight go on any longer than it needed to. It was dangerous. But equally as dangerous was charging blindly forward. The spirit user kept healing and healing herself. He wouldn't have been surprised if there was nothing left to heal. The dragon man began to boost off the ground to dodge the strike at the ground, and was quite unexpectedly helped on his assent by the shockwave hitting him from the direction of the blast. It stung like a giant slap to his entire body, and he sorely shot another speeding bullet-like ball of light in Heraldmon's direction. He had no intention of getting any close to the electric ceiling, so he hovered a safe distance above the ring, moving nonstop, and watched Amelie intensely.
-Levi dodges the flurry of sharp appendages and the ground slam, taking a hit from Psalm while starting to fly upwards, knocking him into cruising altitude, above the arena, but below the electric dome. During the ascent, he fires another Spherical attack at Heraldmon.
It's Spherical! - Magnamon fires a sphere of light at a target. Apart from being a glowing ball of light, it is similar to a cannonball.
Cooldowns: Virtuous Blades - 0 - Ready! Preventative Measure γ - 0 - Ready!

Heraldmon's body spasmed with vigor; truth to be told, this was the first time Amelie had felt this amount of power flowing through any of her spirit forms; whether a telling sign of the magnitude of the temporary boost to her abilities or just a sad reminder that this was the first time somebody (or something) had boosted her power in any way, that was unclear; but it wasn't like it mattered, anyway. For what she felt like the first time in the whole fight, one of her attacks had managed to land a relatively direct hit. Not exactly a reason to celebrate, but at least that meant some progress was being made, going as far as Levi taking almost a full defensive approach. Good. There was no doubt in the aberration's mind. If that wasn't a clear sign to press the assault, then nothing would. Immediately, the Digimon detached itself from the ground and followed right behind Levi, leveraging her superior speed to keep pace with him. Yes, that meant it was in no position to avoid the oncoming spherical attack, but it also meant that Heraldmon would find itself either at melee range or relatively near the Magnamon. With the gap closed, another barrage of sharpened tendrils would spring towards him, all while carefully avoiding to hit the electrified ceiling in case that could become an issue. What in case that was avoided? Well, let's say that the horror had some tricks under its inexistent sleeves. In either case, the initial tendrils would split apart in smaller appendages that followed in whatever direction Levi decided to move next. Not the most refined strategy, yet certainly effective, should it hit.
Turn recap! —Heraldmon dashes towards Levi, taking a hit from It's Spherical! in the process.
—Uses a basic attack against him.
—Gains and extra attack due to Slip Through Time.
—And then uses a second basic attack against him. Keeping track of Ability stuff. *Psalm's (Dirgemon) remaining cooldown: 1 post. *Sacrifice's (buff) current duration: 2 posts. *Psalm's (Heraldmon) remaining cooldown: 3 posts. *Martyrdom's hit count: 1. *Slip Through Time has been active for 2 posts. *Martyrdom has been active for 2 posts. *Expiate has been active for 2 posts.

Levi pondered briefly how a more experienced fighter might have avoided the attack he had just been hit by, but didn't ponder for long. He respected his opponent's abilities, while acknowledging that he himself had not been in very many fights. Yet, this made him only more determined to prove himself on this battlefield. Watching closely for the next move paid off; Magnaman learned something he wouldn't have otherwise, and that was that this digimon could fly, and clearly had control over their own direction and momentum. Levi saw Heraldmon charge after him, and though he was unprepared for the sharpened flurry last time, blazing determination drew forth his blades of fire and lightning once more, meeting the barrage of limbs with a whirlwind of the two spinning swords, attempting to form a wall against the onslaught. It was possible he might even be able to cut a few of those limbs, searing or shocking the open woulds left, burning the ones in proximity. Additionally, he would make small position adjustments for any that tried to sneak around. Though the superior speed of his enemy would allow the occasional cut or scrape to pain him, he hoped he was returning it in kind. He would end his whirling movement with a sudden scissor-like chop in front of him, which might be called an attempt at decapitation in a less amorphous foe.
-Levi summons the Virtuous Blades and uses them to deflect most of the basic attacks, taking a few cuts from the attacks in the process.
Virtuous Blades - Magnamon summons two one-handed blades - one of fire, one of lightning. These blades last for two posts, but can be dismissed before then. 3-post cooldown.
-Levi quickly crosses and uncrosses the blades in front of him for a "decapitation" attack.
Virtuous Blades duration remaining: 1 post.
Irrelevant information: Spoiler tag test, because one day I'll have to use them, and want to make sure I know how.
