"Well, your partner will think to break down the door eventually..."
Floramon's whisper, several meters down the hall, was met with a chuckle as the plant broke off into a sprint, around the corner of this central room. Really, it almost felt like the spirit or egg or whatever should have been there - but if it were, the plant wouldn't have had a chance to really get at it first. But like this? All she had to do was lock the door, round the corner, and make her way further into the building.
She kept her senses open. Even without the Digivice, whatever she was looking for would be the one thing around here made of data, and even someone as average at sensing data signals as Bell would be able to figure it out. Once she was behind the room, where the arrow would have been pointing, she started to check every room, carefully scanning it over with her eyes before moving to the next. The hall, the corners... heck, maybe it would just be on an obvious perch on the back lot.
She didn't need to know where, yet. All she had to do was get there first.
At the end of the hallway-- Floramon would soon find what she sought. In a large room at the end of the temple-- an object glowed positioned on the pedestal. It glowed with a gentle green light that even the plants around seemed to gather. Whether the plants were from the real world or even somehow 'leaking' from the Digital World-- it overtook the shrine and the vines kept the 'stone' in place.
As she would find the prize she was so willing to stab her friends in the back for... it wouldn't respond or move easily. All that could tell on it was the strange little 'tear' or 'droplet' symbol on the front.
"So how we gonna get out of here?" Rei asked, drying a tear from her eye to realize Floramon was not a nice person.
Despite all that happened Musimon gave a happy chirp. "Leave this to me, yo!" he said and faced the door. "Music HOUR!" He relased a powered up blast of sound that actually moved the air-- but the blast only bent the door and didn't push anything apart.
Both Rei and Musimon looked in disappointment. In truth, Musimon was a Digimon who was a person who used music to amplify and heal others. A support Digimon. He didn't possess powerful offensive skills on his own. His little hand-ears slouched at the failed attempt.
"Epic fail..." he groaned.
It was then that Rei looked up-- seeing the ceiling tiles of the room. "Wait a minute? That's it!" she said as she had an idea. "Those tiles open up to a wider ceiling. You can just go over the wall and drop down easily from the other side-- like a ninja." she said, seeing the same kind in a movie.
Musimon's jubilance suddenly returned at the sound of the word. "Like a real... ninja?" he asked, his hand-ears, now wrapping around him to act as a ninja's scarf and he made a funny hand sign-- and added oriental sounds to add to the silly mood.
Rei sighed and shook her head. "Just what is going on inside that head of yours?" she asked aloud.
With the silly moment done, Rei soon had Musimon up on her shoulders. Despite his light size and him on top of her-- it still was a balancing act and Rei was short as a child. It took some doing as Musimon stretched his ears as high as possible and soon had to put a foot atop of Rei's head. "Ouch-- hey!"
With one last push-- Musimon got the ceiling tile opened and grabbed on. Like a spider-monkey, he hauled himself up with his hand-ears and managed to get up top into the crawlspace of a ceiling. "I'm up! Wait here a minute and I'll unlock the door, yo!" Musimon said excitedly as he dropped the ceiling tile back in place.
Rei smiled as she waited, and looked to the door. SHe couldn't hear much or even see past it, so all she could do was wait.
Just as she was about to call out-- a click followed and the door opened. "Knock, knock!" Musimon chirped with a smile.
Rei rushed forward out of the room, and swept Musimon up in her arms for a hug. "Musimon, you're the best. No matter what, your my number one Digimon!" she said.
Musimon blushed as Rei hugged him, the jealousy from before gone.

Ah, that was the ticket - and sticking out like a store thumb to boot! With one glance over her shoulder, the Floramon would step inside of that room, closing it behind her, as the Floramon stepped right up to that egg.
It wasn't a simple Digi-Egg, no - the oval shape was replaced with something more like a 'bean' or a 'seed', and the plants that encroached from the outside seemed to even invade through the walls to give this egg a resting place. So it was plant-based? All the more reason for her to take this opportunity!
"And you're coming with me..." She grinned, resting her arms on each side of the egg, giving it a small pull - nope, no dice. Whatever it was, it weighed a ton, and that little symbol right atop it was mocking her. Tch. That symbol, huh? Honestly, she didn't have time to argue with it: instead, she rested her hand right atop the egg, and focused, just preparing to directly load it into her frame.
Time was of the essence - she didn't have time to fool with riddles or a 'sword in the stone'!
The sweet moment between tamer and Digimon over, Musimon led her down the hallway with Rei close behind. Hoping to find what made her Digivice act up, they weren't about to let Floramon also get away with locking them up. If things were worse, they could of been locked in there indefinately. Musimon was not happy and wasn't about to let Floramon put his tamer in danger like that.
Meanwhile, at the shrine, as Floramon tried to load the Digimental-- the vines seemed to react even more as it grew further around the object, as if tying it down further. Her attempt to load it would only be met by more vines holding on and preventing her from doing just that.
That would no doubt frustrait her as the symbol on the front continued to glow, denying her access.
"Ahem!" a voice said from behind.
In the entrance of the room, Musimon and Rei had arrived, seeing the Floramon try to take the Digi-Mental. Rei seemed calm but further back while Musimon stood afront, his hand-ears folded in front of him like a 'tough guy' with folded arms in front of his chest. "Taking things that don't belong to you?" he said.
Rei didn't say anything, her feelings still a bit torn up. On one hand, she felt bad the Floramon ditched them and the other was more remorse-- wanting to ask why.
"I knew you were up to no good! How dare you stab Rei-chan in the back like that!" Musimon added, adding 'angry-sound effects' to his shout, hopping mad. "You might be a flower Digimon but you stink!"
Rei bit her lip a moment, then finally spoke up. "Why? Why did you do this? If you just told us we could of worked something out. You didn't have to lock us up. We could of really ended up in trouble stuck there, you know." she said, trying to sound direct and not cry.

Sheesh... picky little thing wasn't it? The Floramon grit her teeth, snapping one of the vines as it tried to flick around the egg, only for the plant to hear the annoyed voice of a musical Digimon behind him.
... Though, honestly, he could have picked a better point to stand on.
"Taking things that don't belong to me? What are you talking about, no-one's been in this shrine for years." Spinning on her heel, the Floramon gave a chuckle. "Just because I know what a 'treasure map' looks like doesn't mean you have any more of a claim to this than I do."
Bell, well, might have had a point. But it was clear that she didn't have an ounce of remorse or regret in her voice, something that might have deeply upset 'Rei-chan', as the Musimon put it! "Oh, lighten up. I'm sure the locks on this place are so bad you could have just rattled the door open. Really, all I wanted to do was get a few yards ahead of you - hm?"
Rei had something to say? And she got more directly to the point - why did the Floramon do any of this? "Trust me, I never had an intent to fight you, much less hurt you or your partner. You think I want to be stuck out here hiding in the human world? I'll just spell it out:"
She tilted her head towards the egg. "This thing right here? That's my ticket to changing my face and data signal, so I can finally show myself in the Digital World again. Your Musimon's tied to a Digivice - its not like he'll be lacking for power whether or not I take this armor form. But to me, this thing's worth its weight in gold... so, if you don't mind, I did get here first?"
"I don't want to fight either!" Rei said honestly, trying to make her point clear to Floramon. "I get it... humans are not always easy and for Digimon its even harder. But you should know you don't have to hide from me. We could of been friends and we still can. Please..." she said, wanting to try and talk reason to the Floramon and not result to a fight.
Musimon looked back to her but kept on guard. He didn't trust the Floramon. And further he words were that of pure self interest. Musimon had no such reservation for taking her for her word. He didn't trust her and her reason seemed suspicious as well.
"Why can't you show your face in the Digital World?" Rei asked, "I really don't care about that thing. But you won't need it-- if we can help you. If it means that much to you... you can have it but... there are other ways of getting help. You just have... You just have to believe there are those willing to help you. "
Things seemed to stand still as the tension between them seemed to grow-- Rei the voice of a kind person trying to reconcile with someone who 'betrayed' them, Musimon still on guard, and Floramon trying to sneak the object under their noses.

Tch... this girl...
Just how naive could Rei be? Bell had just locked the both of them up in some ratty old room, tried to steal their armor egg from under their noses, and told them off - and despite all of that, the tamer was still trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. To see the good that was in the plant. And to that?
"Tsk." She shook her head. "You think its that simple? Let me tell you, Rei, no-one wakes up and thinks that 'this is the way' they want to turn out. I have what I need to do, and unfortunately, you're in the way of it." With a sigh, the Floramon extended a low glare. Previously, she was wearing a happy and friendly face. Now, her expression turned dark, a tinge of anger in her voice.
"You're a good kid. Hopelessly optimistic, but good. So leave this alone, and I swear I won't mess with you ever again."
The defiant and dark glare made Musimon go on high alert as he now stood directly between Floramon and Rei. "Hmph! Don't even think about it!" he defiantly said.
Rei gritted her teeth, the frustration clear on her face. It seemed the Floramon was truly like a dark weed in the garden. It hurt Rei she put her trust into someone so willing to be so cruel and mean. It would make her sad, and possibly even consider what she said as truth. However...
"Maybe your right... Maybe I am hopelessly optimistic. You think this is the first time this happened..." Her gaze was cast down, sadness laced into her words that made Musimon even madder-- that Floramon used her poisonous words to hurt Rei's feelings. She raised a sleeve and wiped her eyes free of the tears. "I try to be positive and believe in people when everyone seems they want to be miserable...Some even take advantage of me, but I don't care! I don't care if it is naive and I am alone with wanting to believe in others. It doesn't matter how much I get hurt!"
Her fists clenched as she looked up. Despite the tears in the corners of her eyes, she had a determined look on her face. "I choose to believe in others. I want to believe in the best in others, so that one day... one day, they will know they don't have to hide and be accepted for who they are! That they can always make friends! And I won't let you change that!" she cried out.
Suddenly-- at her sincere and kind words-- the Digimental suddenly reacted. The vines that held the egg in place glowed-- and began to bloom with flower pedals that bloomed. The vines soon weakened-- and with it, the object shot forward. It soared over Floramon's head as it crossed the room.
Surprised, Rei's eyes cleared up as the Digi-egg flew right towards her-- and stopped just short of her body. She gasped as the brilliantly green-glowing object radiated around her. Stunned and unsure what it was--as her hands merely extended-- it floated right into her hands, giving her a strange surge of energy.
Musimon looked in surprise as she held the Digi-egg-- now seeing the crest of Sincerity glow strongly on its front. "Rei-chan!" Musimon cried, surprised and concerned.
A tranquil, calm feeling passed to Rei as she held the Digimental. It was an odd feeling as it wasn't some technology but a spiritual power she held in her hand. She heard the words... and she slowly mouthed them too.
The Digimental suddenly released a stronger light-- that shined and filled Musimon with the strange sensation. Just as fast as before, the Digimental flew right towards Musimon...

"Oh, like you have a stake in this." As the Musimon stepped into position, the Floramon stood defiant, ready to defend herself or her claim if need be. The Floramon knew that she was walking on thin ice here. Rei's words aside, Bell knew that this armor egg might be the best shot she had out of getting out of her current predicament.
She could start a new life for herself. She could start a new identity right in Whitewater. And all it took was taking one Digimon's weakest form. As Rei spoke, her words almost felt on deaf ears.
You think this is the first time this happened. Some even take advantage of me, but I don't care. I choose to believe in others. I want to believe the best in others.
"Tch. How lucky for you to still have that luxury." Rei might have been down, yes, but in Bell's eyes, she wasn't beaten back into a corner. No, Rei couldn't understand Bell, so why even bother extending that olive branch? She was just a means to an end, a single passing person that she had to disappoint. Her heart hardened, the light of the Digimental flaring as it soared right over her head.
"Tch!" As Bell would simply allow this display to happen! Seeing that egg float right in front of the young tamer, the Floramon ended up doing the most honest thing she'd done since she'd gotten here, the rookie's desperation finally worn right on her shoulder. The Musimon's attention was turned away, after all, and with a kick forward, the Floramon moved to sprint, throwing her arms forward to shoot her vines out at the musical Digimon. Should it hit him, it would wrap around, the plant wrenching her arms to try and throw him off to the side.
And put her in the Digimental's path!
Poison Ivy: A grappling attack, Bell rapidly grows vines from her arms to attempt to ensnare a nearby target. This is laced with a nasty poison that shocks right down to the muscles, damaging and inflicting heightened pain onto the target. Duration: 1 Post. Cooldown: 1 Post.
"Musimon!!" Rei cried as the Poison Ivy attacked wrapped around its limbs as he tried to shake it off-- but the light of the Digimental poured over him, and made him feel stronger than weaker despite Floramon's attack.
"Musimon-- Armor Evolution!!" Musimon shouted as the light infused with him, causing his data to grow and multiply. The light of the Digimental expanded, and his body did as well-- breaking free from the Poison Ivy of Floramon further as he grew too large to be contained.
With the light, a wind blew-- followed by the flutter of leaves. Cherry blossom pedals that just seemed to come out of nowhere. Stepping out of the light with a defiant stance, a strange creature emerged in Musimon's place. The person was clad in a traditional Japanese like robe and hakama. The face of the person, however, was a large flower-shaped mask, the pedals of it as large as a lion's mane and the mask a strange feature. Even more odd from his large sleeves were two more smaller 'heads' of flowers. The appearance seemed almost creepy but also traditional to eastern myths. From the flower-mask, long red hair trailed down and moved with movements of his head.
Somewhere-- spotlights shined upon him as he made a grand stance with his flower-hands facing forward, like a grand samurai making an entrance. "Shogun of Sincerity! Kabukimon!!" the new Digimon announced proudly.
All of a sudden as the light of the evolution faded-- another 'spotlight' seemed to shine down from nowhere upon Kabukimon as he made another dramatic stance forward. A strange sound appeared in the background-- that of a traditional japanese performer as how edo period used. "Feast your eyes on the pinnacle of pride and grace! Like petals on the wind, I shall blow all evil away with the serene gale. " he boasted, making a boastful, pride stance like that of other oriental performers did. "The Master of the Genjutsu Ninja Arts-- Kabukimon!!"
Rei blinked as she now saw Musimon become a strange plant creature, much like Floramon was. however, he was taller, dressed as a performer and seemed to boast that of old japanese performers that her family used to see on festivals when she was younger. "No way..." she gasped, never witnessing Digivolutin of any kind up till now.
Kabukimon stood proudly in front of Floramon, now willing to defend against whatever tricks Floramon might use against his tamer. "If I were you, I'd make like a tree and leaf.... Get it? Tree? Leaf?" Kabukimon jested.
Though a shallow joke, Rei was releived-- despite the scary transformation... he was still the same silly Musimon.

Pretenses be damned, she had to act now - but before the Floramon could even get the chance, the Digimental had already made its choice. Light poured out, the bind was forced to loosen, and the plant type found herself shielding her eyes from the form that appeared before her.
Not necessarily a powerful form, but a well-statured one. One that solidly stood in the Floramon's way. Slowly opening her eyes, the plant found herself swearing under her breath. Swearing at what could have been.
Swearing at another door that was just slammed shut in front of her face.
And swearing at the Musimon who didn't understand a damn thing about it - and thought it wise to rub it in her damn face. Gritting her teeth, the Floramon took a step back. But instead of express fear or bolt away - or even fight in panic? The Floramon just broke, a small laugh building up in her chest.
"Eheh... ahaha! Oh, good, good for you!" The mocking in her tone echoed loudly through the room. "No, no. Here I am, some fifty-something year old Digimon stuck in rookie, but here you are, with a tamer, lording over a form that you're going to forget you even have in a year! All because some egg decided that it likes you better than me."
Her words were said with venom. They were mean for the sake of being mean, meant to hurt. "Tell me, you feel proud of this?"
Rei felt her heart tremble at the Floramon. She was mad, bitter even venomous towards them.. but despite it, Rei felt sad but not for her sake. For the Floramon. Despite the words that seethed out of her, and even some truth to how armors often were viewed... it choose Rei over Floramon for her honesty and pure intention. Even if naive, even if foolish, she remained true to herself and her feelings. Floramon didn't.
It seemed she was motivated by something else to get that Digimental. However, what was done was done... it wouldn't be possible to simply share it or make a copy, was it? She didn't know, but the Digimental had its own benefits to reflect the qualities of the one who hold it. Rei's sincerity gave Musimon strength now, a quality she unconsciously valued.
"True growth comes from within, Floramon. Like Rei-chan said. Had you come clean with us from the start, things probably would of turned out differently." Kabukimon said as he took a show-boatish stance, like a dance with his floral limbs. "But you choose to deceive us. Whether we outgrow this form or not, we will honor the strength given to us with respect. Something you should learn. "
Rei soon stepped forward, joining Kabukimon beside him. Though it was odd to see Musimon, the large-eared headphone wearing rabbit become a glorified mandrake plant creature, she kept her gaze to floramon. "It's not too late, Floramon. Just stop being so mean and explain what is wrong. You said your trapped in this form? We might be able to help you if you let us. We don't need to be mean to one another."
However, Kabukimon extended a sleeved arm in front of her. He didn't trust Floramon, and while Rei extended an olive branch with every good intent, the Floramon's endgame motives were not known. For all they knew, she was like this for her own misdeeds. Even as a Rookie, Musimon would not allow Rei to be misled or used if he could help it.

'True growth comes from within, Floramon'.
To some, that might have been a moment of revelation - but this seemed to only anger Bell further, a dark scowl stretching across the plant's face. Yes, Bell deceived them, but what choice did she have? If she just came out with the truth, if Bell had explained why she was in this position, the Floramon wouldn't have even been able to come as far as this shrine.
"... Tch." At Rei's extended olive branch, Bell cast her eyes away. "I'm not 'trapped' in this form, Rei. The power of it didn't matter - all I was looking for was a new face, to hide who I am now. But if that egg's about 'honesty' then there's no way that ever would have worked."
With a defeated sigh, the Floramon turned, shooting a small glance over her shoulder.
"... Don't turn out like me, kid. You still have a shot at this place." The Floramon would slide the door shut, and quickly turn and bolt her way down a hall, towards an open window to her left.
There was nothing left for her here. She had to move.
Rei watched as the Floramon left, bitter and angry. Even though they didn't have to fight or their confrontation ended somewhat peacefully... she felt bad that she was like this. "What could of made her act like this? Was there anything we could of done to help?" Rei asked aloud.
Kabuikimon turned, seeing that the Floramon had left faced Rei with his 'flower-face' still neutral. "Rei, don't let her get you down. You offered her a hand, and she wouldn't take it. That is her issue. You may not understand her, but you tried... and that is all that matters." the flower-man said as he waved his flower arms about. "Personally, I say it smells better here without her. "
As Rei pondered about the poor flower, Kabukimon soon urged her out the door. "Come on , Rei Chan. Let's go home." he said.
with their leave of the shrine, he stayed as Kabukimon for the time till they left the shrine. As they returned into the afternoon sunlight... the digimon glowed and soon turned back into Musimon. Happy to have such a kind hearted tamer with him, Musimon and Rei went home.
