Cold is blessing, as long as the numbers are not extremely high or extremely low. But the fact that the law of going up and going far north makes the number slowly getting to the extremely low point is something that intrigue this Digimon. A stray Digimon with lots of spiky-pointed tentacles forming its body, a pair of outstretched arms, and overall the bad look vibe with the creepy face: A Keramon. Nevertheless, he is prepared to face situations like this. As he reached his Ultimate stage, the perfection in his Digivolution cycle, he evolved mirroring the Digimon that once guided him to the wonders of the world: A Wisemon.
This Keramon managed to exploit some glitches on his bugged Digicore and somehow managed to keep a part of his Wisemon form as a long, red-tinted brown cape. Most that saw him probably just think this Keramon tries to look cool. But anyone would wear long and thick fur coats to keep their body warm in this situation, especially if they live in Northern Prominence. This Keramon wears the cloak as something practical, having the extra cool vibe is just a bonus.
Wind carried—guided him to be exact, to go north, and expected that he ended up in some good place. And indeed, this is a wonderful sight. A land with lots of shiny crystals and everlasting snow is not just a sight you can see anywhere but here.
Might as well chilling out and appreciate how colorful these shiny crystals are...

Crystals are good, crystals are valid, but must they seriously go out here anyway? Plus as Baby stage even? Papa has yet to recover most of his strength so anything too strong would get him sick. Yet, even though he already protested several time, the Koromon just keep going through the chilly air.
"...You're not even belonged to Assault Team, why are you going so far like this?"
"Being stuck inside the city sucks you know! Gahahaha, don't sweat the small stuff anyway!"
"It's not quite "small" Papa... I'm worried about your health."
"Then pin it up on me! Someone who act must know what he's getting into. And I think just being sick is fine isn't it? I mean, it's not like I'll die, or got attacked outta nowhere in such close proximity to Ys!"
"...God, you're so..." Keigo decide to not continue that. He know that if he continues it, Papa going to parry it anyway.
"...Hey, Kei?"
The difference of the tone made Keigo snaps out of it and looked at what the Koromon looked at. A Keramon? Well, that's what his D-Nexus says. It's a Keramon. But... that... thing dressed not so usually for a Keramon.
"Hey bud! What are you doing there?"
It's definitely awkward to heard a baby with a booming voice like those of an adult, but that's Papa.

The cloaked Keramon is still mesmerized looking at the crystal until he got a company. A human and a Koromon, to be exact. However, different from any other Koromon, they sound like a Greymon that is trapped in Koromon body. A very deep voice, if Higgs the Keramon have to say. It's quite intimidating to be honest, but knowing that the owner of the voice is a Koromon, Higgs can rest easy. At least they are not looking for a fight.
"You can say... i'm chilling here! Somehow i followed the wind and ended up in this place!"
The cloaked Keramon said with a distorted kiddy voice. Hopefully his sense of humor can break some ice in this interaction. Though, he do aware not everyone is fond of seeing a Keramon in sight. They are the wacky species of the Digimons, men and mon alike, they don't want to be involved with any Keramon. But hopefully these fellas here are not the one that taking things for the granted.
"If you wondering why i wear cloak, because it's freezing cold here! I don't have fur like a Gabumon, and i don't have Snow in my name! That much you can understand, right?"

Following the wind and stuck here? Gee? "Well, aren't you similar to me, Gahahahaa! I let the wind carry me here and lo and behold I found something interesting! Haven't seen that many Keramon, except some select I guess! Anyway, beaut ain't she?" Papa commented, pointing his feeler at the crystal. The crystal tree
"Pearl Digicite it's called."
"Yes, but before we go about the material, why don't I seriously give you something to warm yourself up? Please have some," Keigo, ignoring Papa, immediately bundled him with a fur coat. He also gave the same to the keramon. "It's better than what you have at the moment I think. Shining Sea isn't as cold as the tundra, but it came close due to almost no wind barriers here bars the crystals..."
Keigo looked up toward the crystals. "They're crystals of bond, apparently." he and Papa touched it together, and the crystal glowed. "But its purity is kind of low, you see?"

The Keramon looks at the duo curiously. One is talking about the crystallized Digicite, and the human is wary of the surroundings, they even gave the Keramon an extra fur coat. Higgs felt enough with his own cloak, but he can't say no to this hospitality. Besides, an extra layer of warmth is nice. So he takes the furcoat without a doubt and putting it over his brown cloak.
"Thanks for the coat! A bit of extra warm doesn't hurt!"
Listening to the human's explanation, Higgs tried touching the crystal himself. The crystal immediately lit up as his hand touched it. However the light has a bit of different color, and doesn't shine as bright as how the human and the Koromon touched it.
"Hmm... it's different. This crystal can read emotions and connection or what? It's interesting!"
At first, Higgs sounded like someone that is disappointed for having a different result, but he changed so quickly that maybe the duo doesn't even realized how excited and fascinated this Keramon upon the curiosity that has just intrigued him. Not just the crystal, the connection between human and Digimon. It's truly fascinating for the Keramon.
But his train of thoughts need to be calmed down. Those two over there might not follow...
"Do you guys know more about this crystal?! I want to know more! I want to know more!"

The teleporter malfunctioned. Azedenkae was supposed to have been teleported elsewhere, an 'else' that was much, much further away from here. But it seemed that Azedenkae had ended up in the Northern Prominence still, given the massive chill in the air. Fortunately, Mimicmon were somewhat resistant to the environments. They had to be adaptable, after all.
It was not much time after Azedenkae started wandering the Shining Sea, that it heard some voices in the distance. Curiosity abounded, Azedenkae began to approach the voices. It almost immediately turned practically transparent as a reflex, though anyone who paid attention to the air would see a ripple effect that was the slight refraction of light going through Azedenkae's body, floating on its approach to Higgs, Keigo, and Papa.
It seemed like an innocent enough conversation about the crystals that abounded, so Azedenkae needn't have to worry too much, right? As it came close enough to the three, it began to automatically scan all three individuals. Just by chance, Azedenkae scanned Higgs last, and... something felt... strange. Maybe its scan was noticed?
No, that was not right... the scan was invisible, and worked mostly off of passive signals radiating from everything. So what was so strange?

Well this is one interesting Keramon at the very least. Keigo looked at Papa who raised his right feeler. This is his sign that it's OK and the person isn't hostile. Keigo coughed once and began explaining.
"Apparently the effects are stronger in human and Digimon pair. The crystals were used to make Digivice. These, though are low purity. I think these ones are only 1% at best? The one in the city deeper, the Ys, is more than that. It's around 10%-ish. Do you know Digimental? Those are also made of Pearl Digicites. However, those are in purity of the highest degree, 100%, and only works on specific Digimon its' bounded to. Don't ask me how those crystals becomes egglike construct but..."
Yeah, he did said something about city. He wonder if the next course of action is to bring this Keramon to Ys after all? He looked at the newcomer... this one... is a baby too? Hmn?
".........Um... are you alright there?" Keigo asked to the newly approaching one.

Speaking about Digicite, once the wise Digimon taught Higgs about the difference between Digicite and Digizoid. Both of them are equally precious and are of same value. Though, it's quite unexpected that this place is actually where crystallized Digicites existed and the cloaked Keramon ended up going to this place on a whim. It's pretty coincidental, if Higgs have to say. Maybe he could learn something valuable by going here.
"Master taught me a bit about Humans, Digivice, and Digimental. So more or less, i can understand what did you say. But still, it's fascinating! I really want to know what makes coexistence between human and Digimon a key for Digivolution!"
The Keramon excitedly chirped, before he noticed something off around him. As if there's a bug suddenly occured on the system. But this bug is none other than a Digimon. It didn't raise his danger sensor, but apparently the Keramon just noticed that this new entity appeared out of nowhere and perhaps trying to be wary of the surroundings. Although he looked calm about it, he just felt like whatever this entity doing, it's trying to assess him personally. Though, Higgs data and identity in this form is obfuscated thanks to the errors and bug that he exploited. Something as simple as reconfiguring a part of his latter forms and adapted this certain part (namely, the cloak) to his other forms made his anonymous life easier.
"I have to say, that's cool! You just appeared out of nowhere like my master used to do! Who are you? What kind of Digimon are you?"
While Higgs is secretly being wary of this new entity, a chance to know Digimons other than his species is always a fascinating matter for him.

Scan error. Errant code. Code 404 not found. Language not found. Language. Code updated. Scan incomplete. Scan complete. Errant.
Azedenkae was not aware of the message above playing internally within its head. Instead, it was focused on those in front of it, curious that they had caught him so quickly.
Azedenkae cocked his head to the side, in other words his whole body rotated sideways slightly, before turning back to normal. The beings in front of him had keen eyes. That was probably just it. Shifting his refractive camouflaging away, Azedenkae appeared from it as a glowing orb, almost perfectly spherical in shape. The glow he was emitting had began red, but was starting to shift spectrums to cover all colors of the rainbow, whiched repeated themselves in a cycle. "Greetings. I did not mean to startle anyone. My name is Azedenkae, and I was just intrigued by your presence here. And then, of course, intrigued by your discussion of the crystals. I must admit, they are quite dazzling." Looking back and forth across the three in front of him, Azedenkae's attention finally settled on the only human there. His eyes lit up with quite a bit of intrigue. "You are... a human, right? That is really cool! I have never seen a human before... you are... fascinating."

"Well,um... if you want to know more I believe I'm not quite qualified to tell you what's what... as I'm a clothes designer, you see..." Keigo started, voice faltering "That one clothing that you wear at the moment, I made it myself, but yeah... um, I gone off tangent, but what I mean is that... I can recite what my friends told me, but I can't really vouch for how true is it or anything like that... Basically... apparently there are... some strong emotions that seem beneficial for Digimons when they're exposed to it. It's not limited to just partnered Digimons apparently... I have no idea if there is any record of this, but Digimons are generally very in tune with humans' emotions... Partnered Digimon even more so, and sometimes if a portal opened, the Digimon usually goes toward place of someone with strong emotions."
"But like my partner here said, the legitimacy of that has yet proved due to last few months seem to be completely incident free about portals suddenly opening and whatnot." Papa added "and yours truly has been... dead I guess? For about several months too and just newly hatched, so nothing to cross-check there..."
Being called fascinating made Keigo blink though. Yeah, he... got that this new guy probably never saw any human before, but... that's... not exactly flattering. Perhaps it's because his androgynous looks which in the past often gets him him prejudiced situation... Still, he can understand... but at the same time he felt urge to correct.
"Um, t-thank you? I... er, humans prefer if you don't use the word 'fascinating' as if we're object of study you see... It felt... I dunno I guess it just felt wrong?"

"Well, fascination is just a specific word to address amazement. And not to mention you humans also have interest in us Digimons."
While mentioning Digimon, Higgs' big eyes are specifically looking at the newcomer that just appeared out of nowhere. A process is invading his system. Specifically: Trying to read and copy his system. Higgs knew the tamer-digimon pair has no interest aside from talking. So, the culprit is clear. Before that mysterious Digimon managed to pull whatever it tries to do, Higgs purposely obfuscate his core structure by mixing-up the data inside him, switching the variables and the functions to create a lot of error. Although it may be somewhere above 50%, Higgs won't let this Digimon get his data repository so easily. No librarian likes their book got stolen, and no information broker likes their information leaked.
"But i do agree that something is wrong here."
His ever distorted tone starts to form a weird clarity. The pitch shifted into something low and hollow. This is, by any means, no intimidation. But Higgs clearly is showing something along the line of cautious and suspicion. As if this newcomer is slowly becoming a hostile threat.
"What did you do, Azedenkae? Maybe you can fool the human over there, but you can't fool an aberrant Digimon like me. Now i'm specifically intrigued with whatever tricks you're playing here."
Higgs will take all the time to wait for this mysterious Digimon's explanation. It better have a good reason to do this.

Azedenkae apologized to Keigo for how it referred to him. After all, "I did not mean anything by it." Azedenkae explained, agreeing with Higg's statement. "I guess in my excitement of meeting a human in real life, I am just a bit too excited. Apologies."
Then Higgs mentioned that something was indeed wrong, and turned to specify Azedenkae as... what's wrong.
Azedenkae furrowed its brows and cocked its head to the side again. "Whatever do you mean?" It asked, legitly confused. What could Higgs be asking about? Hm... if there was anything, then maybe... "Do you mean I approached you while camouflaging myself? If so, apolo-"
Azedenkae's words were cut short by its own accord, as its eyes widened. Oh. OH. As the realization dawned on him, the radiance around his body shifted to become almost completely black, as his body turned completely gray.
This was why Saturn removed the memories of their test subjects. It was best that they did not know that they would scan other Digimon secretly, nor that the data would be sent back through relays until it finally reached Saturn headquarters.
Now, the issue was... how to respond to Higgs. Should Azedenkae tell the truth? Or lie?
Azedenkae settled on a half truth - as much as it might want to tell the truth, it had to make sure it did not implicate and jeopardize Saturn. Azedenkae gave Higgs an apologetic nod, its radiant glow turning yellow in the process. "Apologies, I had completely forgotten. My body innately scans all beings I meet. It must have scanned you, and I had completely forgot that it would. Don't fret though, the scan does nothing malicious, I assure you."
That was actually more than a half truth. Everything Azedenkae had said was true. The teleportation process fazed it a little bit, and it had truly forgotten about the automatic scan. And, it is true that the scan was not malicious. From Azedenkae's point of view. Well rather, from Saturn's point of view.

"Well, I do have interest toward Digimons, but I'm not exactly going to use the words fascinating. Interesting maybe more to it, but... well, yeah," Keigo rubbed his arm awkwardly. "Uhm... well, I guess if you have any questions about human I can answer that, but please don't scrutinize on my appearance too much is all I ask?"
...And suddenly the hostility just jumped up? Papa looked at Keigo and muttered something like "watch and learn". He guess this is related to how he taught him about some Digimons are sensitive about being scanned. Higgs definitely fits the bill, especially with how his mannerism changed. Papa simply let the two talk it out...
Or is it some prelude to a more dangerous thing?
"Malicious or not, I'm actually more interested in what will you do with the information," Papa countered. "When it comes to human, usually 1: they want to know your species, 2: they're on guard against your moves... but as for Digimons, I don't think it's that simple,"
"Papa..."
"Oh it's alright. Ys is near. You see, we can't really invite someone in when they have to identify what are they and what do they want with that scanning, right? Worse case, the city herself gonna get offended and kick them, but... Hmmmm... problem is if they allowed a wild card to come in just because they're nonhostile... So, please do answer my question?"

Non-malicious scan.
If Higgs never spent his entire life in the Dark Area, maybe he would just let that thing’s explanation slide and pretended that nothing has ever happened. But as an expert in information hacking and security breaching, he knew that first and the foremost, whenever your data is compromised by any means, they would manipulate it somehow. Azeden is picking a wrong Digimon to mess with. Whatever the true intention is, Higgs won’t just let this Digimon copy his data. Not without a fight, or a fair trade.
“If you do that on the other Digimons, they might just believe in whatever you said. But not me, if you think your scan is not malicious.”
Either this is driven by emotion, or just an automatic, natural response of any Keramon reacting to the threat is threading between fine lines. The hands hidden in his cloaks are getting tense, almost forming a fist that ready to swing themselves anytime soon.
“You try to fool the Digimon that has spent 80% of their life cycle cracking data and breaching security. I know the exact routines of every invasive scanning, and yours happened to be somewhere along… copying my data. My Digi-Core, to be exact.”
Higgs almost ignoring the Koromon, if it’s not because of its booming voice and the wise choice of talking a bit more before everything gets nasty. But Higgs prefer this with his own way. For someone that spent his entire life dedicated to being stealthy and anonymous. Having his privacy invaded is the last thing he wants to deal with.
“You can’t hide anything from someone that works to uncover the hidden truth. Choose your words carefully to explain the exact process of your scan and where the copied data go. Or else I’ll literally take back my data from you with my own hands.”

That was... a lot of things that Higgs got right. Azedenkae tried ita best to not betray the worry that was welling up in it, nor its thoughts. It was pretty good at that, as it has ti spend time itself keeping its emotions in check back when it was still trying to gauge what sort of a threat, or lack thereof Saturn was. And well, is.
Hm... perhaps Saturn would have done best to have wipe Azedenkae's memory. This was quite the predicament. Had Azedenkae not known, it was not hard to claim absolute innocence. The way it is though, Azedenkae did not want to lie. Yet, at the same time, it had to be careful. It understood Saturn's purpose, and agreed with them. Their existence needed to be kept secret. It was not about whether or not Saturn would be found - that was practically impossible, for they themselves do not even knownwhere they are. However, Saturn had only reached the second stage of their testing, and knowledge of their trials might jeopardize such an undertaking.
It looks like Azedenkae will just have to navigate the situation carefully, but firmly then.
"I understand if you may feel defensive about what is happening, but I assure you, your threats are not necessary." Azedenkae did not mean to ignore Papa, or Keigo, but unfortunately Azedenkae really had to dismantle the tension with Higgs first, or else something will go very wrong.
At this point, Azedenkae's body was shifting across multiple spectra of color again, and his radiance was somewhat returning.
"Believe me. I fully understand what it is like to not fully understand what is going on, and feel fearful because of it." So far, anybody who hear Azedenkae should be able to pick up the truth in its voice. It was communicating with conviction, because it was not lying at all. By now, its radiance had fully returned, a firm indication of its confidence in itself.
"I will affirm again that the scanning has no malicious intent. If you cannot believe that because of your own reasons, then so be it. But I can't refute my own truth either, so there we have it." After this though, Azedenkae did have to sigh. "But I suppose, I must admit I myself do not know how the entire scanning process works. I don't even know it was copying your digicore. And I didn't even know that that would be considered so intrusive either. For that, I apologize." With that, Azedenkae also turned to Papa, and gave him a polite nod. "To you too. I don't know if the scan works the same with you and copied your digicore, but I must assume that it had, provided our friend here is correct. Regardless, it seems like any degree of scanning at all may be rather intrusive and of concern to those scanned. So I would like to also apologize to you, for such intrusiveness."
What else was there to say? Azedenkae answered the queries of both Digimon now. Hopefully, they understood that Azedenkae truly has had no malicious intent. If not, what else could it do?
