Elson and Silversteamdramon sat down in the hills, looking to the rising sun. "Well, we had our share of adventures ,my general..." Silversteamdramon commented "You`re tired?" Elson asked with suprisse "Nah, I`ll never get tired!" Silversteamdramon replied jumping up. "Calm and sit down buddy...It`s a beautifull sunrise and we shouldn`t miss it..." "Let me see, let me see!" Tinkermon suddenly said, coming out of the fusion loader. "AAAAAH!" Elson shouted with the suprisse, falling back "Sorry, I didn`t mean to scare you..." Tinkermon apologized "Are you Ok?" "Yeah, it`s just that I sometimes Forget you`re in there." She smiled and turned to the sunrise "I wonder if your friends Ryu, Takahiro, Jackson and Shortmon are also watching the sunrise." She commented. It made Elson feel a bit sad about being again separated from his human friends by fate, something that had happened way too many times in his life, but he would have to deal with it. "They`re likely just sleeping. I doubt they rushed out of the forest in a fairy wearing Silversteamdramon as an armour like I did." Elson said "Well, that`s true." Silversteamdramon stated They all looked at the sun once more. Elson remembered the past, Silversteamdramon wandered about what to do now and Tinkermon once more tried to imagine how Elson`s and Silversteamdramon`s friends would like. She gigled. "What`s so funny?" Silversteamdramon asked confused "I was imagining Shortmon. I can`t stop laughting at the idea of a digimon with a cake for a head." Tinkermon responded "Well, those strawberries would have hurt you baddly." Silversteamdramon commented "And you are based off a childers story. You don`t distance that much from Shortmon when it comes to ridiculous." Tinkermon turned again and hurled her spear against them, missing them by little. Elson had forgotten how much of a childish hot-head she was. "Killjoys." She simply claimed before facing the sunrise again. |

Some distance away, Takahiro and Ryu were slowly walking through the hilly landscape. The two of them had been walking all day, and this hilly area wasn't exactly doing wonders for their already tired legs. "I'm not sure I can take this much longer, Ryu. We should find a place to rest and camp out for tonight."
"I was wondering when you would say that," Ryu replied, sitting down on the spot. "What about right here?" Takahiro smiled at his partner before gesturing him to follow. "No, we need to find a safer place to set up camp. It seems like such a long time since we were last in a village..." His thoughts drifted back to Snowflake village and what had happened there. He still couldn't bring himself to think about what happened to Elson and Silversteamdramon, and how it was his decision to leave them there despite Ryu's complaints.
Suddenly Ryu started plucking his tamer's trousers and spoke to him. "I sense another digimon nearby, perhaps two. There's something oddly familiar about one of them though..." Takahiro started frantically looking at the surrounding landscape, trying to make out the silhouettes of digimon against the orange light of the sunset. It didn't take him too long to see something in the distance on one of the hilltops. "There, do you see that?"
"Yes, those might indeed be what I'm sensing. There are three of them though, and I can only sense one, maybe two digimon," Ryu replied in a concerned tone. "Get to the point please..." Takahiro hated it when his partner did this, making him guess what was up. Not this time though, as the Ryudamon was quick to reply. "It means that at least one of them is a human..."

Things seemed to have calmed when Silversteamdramon and Tinkermon suddenly stood. "You sense it too?" Silversteamdramon asked "Yeah." Tinkermon replied "What are you two talking about?" Elson asked, curious "We sense another digimon nearby, my general." Silversteamdramon responded "What, another foe? Well, at least we have some real firepower now..."Elson stated, getting up and taking his fusion loader out of his pocket. "I`m not sure my general, but the presence seems familiar." Silversteamdramon said "Look over there, I think I can see the digimon, but...I can see two shades." Tinkermon warned. "But if you only sense ONE digimon then, that must be a tamer and his digimon." Elson concluded and he smiled. This might be the chance to make another friend. "Indeed, my general, what should we do?" Silversteamdramon questioned "Hey you! Don`t you wanna come here?" Elson shouted to the two figures. "My general, wha are you doing? What if they are foes?" Silversteamdramon asked "Well, what if they are friends?" Tinkermon replied
"Shut up Wasp" Silversteamdramon replied back "That`s not my name!" "Well to me it is." "Shut it you too! And Silversteamdramon you have to stop nicknaming people!" Elson commented |

"Let's go towards them, find out who they are and what they're doing out here," Takahiro suggested. Ryu wasn't as eager to head straight to the mysterious silhouettes, but didn't object. "Fine, just remember that not everyone has good intentions like we do."
"What are you on about, Ryu? Don't you think I know that?" Takahiro angrily replied. He never liked it when his partner was seemingly oblivious to his personality, even after all the time they had spent together in the digital world. The pair started walking in the direction of the three figures in the distance. As they got closer, Takahiro could confirm what his partner had said earlier. There was definitely a human standing on the hilltop, surrounded by two digimon.
All of a sudden Takahiro's movement was halted by one of Ryu's claws, gesturing him to stop. "I think I know now, that familiar digimon I sensed earlier is definitely Silversteamdramon," he said. Takahiro looked like he'd seen a ghost, which could indeed be what he was seeing. "B...but if that's Silversteamdramon; it means the human over there is Elson. And he's supposed to be d...dead," he stuttered, not quite sure what to think of the situation. Ryu looked over at the silhouettes atop the hill before turning his attention back to his tamer. “Well, I did tell you that they might have survived the fall back in Snowflake Village didn’t I?”
“You did, but I chose to just leave them there instead of descending into the valley to help them because I thought they were dead. How can I ever look Elson straight in the eyes again knowing that?” Takahiro asked his partner, who didn't seem to have a clear-cut answer for him. "Knowing Silversteamdramon, I'm sure they would have done the same thing. Let's just go over there and see how they are doing."

"Wait a second... that`s Takahiro and Ryu!" Elson suddenly recognised his old friend. "Hey Takahiro! Nice to see you again! I never imagined we would find each other again, especially not like this!" "So that`s Takahiro? And Ryu, wow! Boy, you look strong!" Tinkermon commented "Don`t get over-excited Wasp." Silversteamdramon replied "Don`t call me that, you jealous freak!" Tinkermon shouted "Who are you calling..." Silversteamdramon began "Put it off! You don`t want to give this kind of impression to Takahiro and Ryu do you?" Elson interviened. The two digimon looked down with shame. "Good, now let go speak with and who knows, perhaps we`ll get a chance to show them our new trick later." He started walking towards re-found his friend, but he suddenly stopped and turned "And don`t you think of trying to do what you did last time!" "What?" the digimon asked together in chore "Oh my... go and try to find a foe! The last time it almost got us killed!" "And we also managed to fuse that day. Besides we always about to get killed." Silversteamdramon commented "Oh, just shut up and come." Elson replied Elson turned and started walking again, a bit angry at Silversteamdramon. Elson didn`t like the idea of being defeated by Silversteamdramon`s argument. |

There they stood: Elson, Silversteamdramon and some other digimon that looked like it came straight from a children's story book. Takahiro couldn't believe his eyes when the human approached him with his two companions not far behind him. Whatever feelings of guilt Takahiro had, Elson certainly didn't seem to share them. "H...how is this even possible? I thought you were, you know...dead?
"What he meant to say was: it's so good to see you Elson, how have you been?" Ryu interrupted, saving his tamer from an incredibly awkward conversation. "Anyway, who is the friend you brought along? Pleased to make your acquaintance miss; I'm Ryu and this here is my tamer." Takahiro finally managed to snap out of his thoughts, looking a bit bewildered, as if he had just missed part of the conversation. "Yeah, it's great to have you back..."
Ryu nodded at his tamer, aware of the decision not to bring up the whole Snowflake Village thing his tamer had just made non-verbally. "I think we should save this little reunion for later. As you may have noticed, it's getting dark very quickly and we need to set up camp somewhere. I don't suppose you already have one set up, do you?" Just as the Ryudamon finished his sentence, the ground started shaking. "You never mentioned earthquakes when you told me about the digital world," Takahiro shouted at Ryu, trying to produce more sound than the rumbling. "I didn't because they are quite rare. This is no natural earthquake Taka, something else is causing this."
Takahiro smirked. They had managed to avoid danger during their entire trip here, and of course something bad just had to happen the second they met up with Elson and Silversteamdramon again. "Great, does anyone have any bright ideas?"

"Hey guys!" Elson greeted "We have been just fine, thank you. This one here is Tinkermon, the new member of the team." The small fairy approached Takahiro and Ryu with a smile "Hi!" she simply said. She turned to grope Ryu, just feeling every inch of him with her hands "Wow, you`re strong!" "Hey Takahiro, don`t worry about it, we know you thought us dead. And Ryu, I`m still anxious for our little fight one of these days, but for now you`re right, we should discuss more pratical matters." Silversteamdramon stated, struggling to not comment on what Tinkermon had said. "And well, we really haven`t got time to do anything yet. we flyed out of a forest, after ending a battle."Elson began, being interrupted by the earth shaking "What is this? Na earthquake? Well, if it ain`t natural, then there`s something causing it, I`m not in the mood for more fighting. I..." The earth stopped shaking then. "My general, we should track the scource of the earthquake and finish it. But first we all need some rest, and judging by Takahiro`s look, he and Ryu could use some answers. Mammothmon`s and falling of cliffs aren`t exactly the basic ingrindients for survival." Silversteamdramon commented "Alright. Let`s see....Hm....Tinkermon, could you do me a favor?" Elson asked "Yeah, sure." Tinkermon replied "Fly up and try to find us something that we can use as shelter." "You want me and Silversteamdramon to..." "No, not now. Let`s not waste energy. Now go, please." The fairy digimon took off, the bell strapped in her neck ringing all she did. "Seems like you were right, my general. She does come in handy. And if she manages to use that fairy poder on a foe rather than me, she might just be even more usefull." Silversteamdramon claimed.
(OOC:No problem. By the way, the earthquake is... And another thing: "getting dark" and "sunrise" don`t really match. So...I change it or you? Your call.) |

(OOC: Oops, I didn't realize you were talking about sunrise all along rather than sunset. I've been getting it wrong from my first post in this thread onward. You literally only mentioned it once though, so it's probably easier if you just quickly change that rather than me having to rewrite parts of three separate posts.)
The earthquake had stopped, but Takahiro was still gob-smacked by what Silversteamdramon seemed to know about leaving him and his general behind. Still, the best course of action in his opinion was to just bury the whole Snowflake Village situation and never speak of it again. "Thanks, I guess."
The new digimon, previously introduced as Tinkermon, flew off after being told to do so by Elson. Relieved she wasn't touching him any more, Ryu finally spoke up again. "I agree with Silversteamdramon, we need to find the source of these seismic disturbances." Takahiro nodded. "Judging from our previous experiences here in the digital world, it's probably a digimon causing these earthquakes."
"Very good Taka, I was just about to say that," Ryu interrupted. "Probably an underground one that dug too close to the surface or something. It seems to be over though, so let's just sit tight and wait for Wasp to return", he continued, giving Silversteamdramon a cheeky smile before quickly putting his serious look back on.
Takahiro looked at his surroundings, which were basically a lot of hills with no clear landmarks in sight he could use to get a bearing with. "Elson, do you happen know which way is south?" he finally asked, trying to sound as normal as possible considering he still wasn't quite sure how Elson and Silversteamdramon survived their fall after all.

"A digimon? My general that seems like a nice amount of power!" Silversteamdramon commented "Silversteamdramon, we had enought hunting for the day. I think we should take a break, if that is possible. And Takahiro, South is that way, in fact we we`re heading there ourselves, just taking the night to rest. We have a few friends we left there, when the Whamon we were using as transportation went mad and we got lost again. We ended up so close to the server woods, we tought we went after Tinkermon. Remember when my fusion did that "bip" sound with that Sealsdramon outsider the kingchessmon`s castle? The same happened with Tinkermon. I decided to put a theory to the test. So far, it has worked...." Elson replied. "Anway, I`m sure you two are curious about how we survived. You see, we we`re really lucky to find no obstacles on the fall and to crash into a large pile of soft snow, unharmed. Elson passed out with the fall, but I made sure he lived to see another day. But the mammothmon was not so lucky: He fel into a frozen lake and sank. I sure would like to eat an ice cream with that size!" "I`m sure you would buddy, but look, here comes Tinkermon again!" "Hey, I found something! It is a really odd-shaped cave not too far away from here! Follow me!" Tinkermon greeted before turning again and flying towards the place she pointed at. "Let`s go?"Elson asked. Wihtout waiting for an answer, he stood and took out his fusion loader "Load Silversteamdramon!" Silversteamdramon flyed straight into the fusion loader and Elson took off running after Tinkermon. They finnaly stopped at the entrance of a horn-shaped cave filled with all kinds of weird rocks and a hole in the back. Silversteamdramon got out of the fusion loader and ran to see the hole. "Wow! This is really deep!" it stated.
(OOC: Ok, I will, but I want to make sure of something first: Is Drimogemon the cause of the earthquakes?) |

(OOC: I'll leave the cause of the earthquakes up to you. This is your XROS hunt after all.)
At least Takahiro didn't have to worry about the Snowflake Village events anymore, considering Silversteamdramon told him the whole story on its own accord. He wasn't really paying attention when Tinkermon returned and Elson took off, leaving him and Ryu standing right where the group had talked seconds ago. "What are we waiting for? The rest are off investigating something Tinkermon found," Ryu said, his head slightly tilted by his tamer's odd reaction of not immediately following Elson. "You're right, let's follow them."
Once they had finally caught up with Elson and the rest, they joined the rest in looking into a large hole at the back of a small cave. "What exactly am I looking at?" Takahiro inquired, kicking a nearby rock into the hole. "Isn't it obvious? This is a hole created by a digimon with some serious drilling power," Ryu replied, slightly irritated that his partner was always asking questions he probably already knew the answer to.
The pair walked into the cave as if it was everyday business to them. "If you're intent on finding out what did this, we should find something to take us down this hole. I don't suppose anyone has a rope?" Takahiro asked, bending his head over to look into the pitch-black hole in the ground. Ryu, surprised but glad his partner was finally acting normal again, took a peek down the hole as well. "I don't know, Taka. I never actually heard that rock you kicked in there reach the ground. I'm sure there's a much..." Before he could finish his sentence, he felt the ground beneath his feet slip away and before the Ryudamon knew it, he was tumbling down the hole.
"SPIKE STRIKE!" A voice echoed from the depths. At least Ryu would probably survive the fall now that he was a curled up ball of armor, but Takahiro panicked nonetheless. "Elson, we've got to do something and quick!"

All the sudden, Ryu fell into the pit. Fortunatly, Elson knew just what to do. He took out his fusion loader. "Silversteamdramon! Tinkermon! Digi-Fuse!" Elson shouted. Then the two digimon merged together Into Silversteamdramon-T. It looked like a Tinkermon wearing Silversteamdramon as an armor and using Silversteamdramon`s sword, which seemed to be now made of the same materials as Tinkermon`s spear "Now go and get him!" "Yes!" Silversteamdramon-T shouted back before jumping into the hole. "Don`t worry Takahiro they carried heavier stuff than Ryu. And they are pretty fast. I don`t doubt they will be able to reach him. Meaningwhile let`s get our heads of that business and prepare this place for the reason we seeked it: camping." Elson suggested to Takahiro.
Inside the tunnel, it seemed even longer than from the outside. "Who does even dig this thing?" Silversteamdramon-T asked still flying down to get Ryu "Ryu! Are you Ok?" It decided to accelarate. Finnaly it started to see Ryu and took one final sprint to catch him, hoping his friend would not resist his attempts to help. "Got ya! Ryu it`s us Silversteamdramon and Tinkermon! You..." They heard a sound above them. It was the sound of a drill. Above them a shadow passed from one side of the tunnel`s walls to the other, jumping. This caused part of the walls to colapse and come straight to them. "Hold on Ryu!" Silversteamdramon-T said before covering Ryu and getting hit by the massive amout of earth and falling until the bottom of the tunnel.
Elson walked to see if Silversteamdramon-T and Ryu were Ok. He looked, seeing them begin to go up. "Takahiro. They`re coming up!" He called. The he looked back. From one of the tunnel`s walls a mole-like digimon with a drill in it`s nose and claws appeared out of nowehere and jumped to the other Wall and digging into it. This caused the tunnel to begin to colapse and the earth to fall right on their digimon. "Takahiro look out!" Elson shouted, jumping against his friend. just in time, because the collapsing tunnel caused the floor they were standing on to colapse intot the tunnel too. |

Takahiro sighed in relief when he heard that the odd fusion between the two of Elson's companions managed to catch Ryu. "I see you've learned a few new cool tricks while I was gone, Elson." The relief was short-lived though, as the cave was starting to collapse, including the floor the two humans were standing on. Takahiro fell a few feet, landing on his left arm in a small cavern that had likely been beneath them all the time. He looked over at Elson, who was also lying on the floor, covered in dust from the cave-in. "Elson, are you okay?"
He tried to move closer, but moving caused his left arm to hurt immensely. "I...I think my arm may have been dislocated by that fall..." he said, trying to remain calm.
Ryu was surprised when he uncurled again, looking up at the face of what appeared to be a fusion of Silversteamdramon and Tinkermon. "Thanks for saving me; I am in your debt now." He couldn't see very clearly though, as a cloud of dust obscured the already small amount of light filtering down from tiny cracks in the stones above them. The last tremor had not only made Elson and Takahiro take a tumble, it had also blocked the vertical tunnel the two digimon had respectively fallen and flown down. "I think we may have a small problem here," Ryu quizzically said as he inspected the rocks blocking their path to their human partners. "How are we going to get out of here? If we just try to blast through here, we might cause the tunnel to destabilize even further and risk it coming down on top of our partners..."

"Yeah, I`m Ok. You?" Elson replied. The answer was not a pretty one. "And our problems don`t end there. We have quite a big amount of rocks all around us. We`re trapped." Elson looked around once more. Then he noticed a small breach in a pile of rocks, and recongized Silversteamdramon-T`s sword behind them. "Takahiro come here." he said, standing and running towards the breach. "Hey! Silversteamdramon-T!"
Not too far, Silversteamdramon-T had just recovered from the fall. "Don`t worry Ryu. Debts won`t help us now anyway." It responded to Ryu`s gratitude. Then it heard Elson`s voice from the other side of a pile of rocks nearby them." Did you hear that Ryu they`re behind those rocks!" Silversteamdramon-T was about to strike the rocks when Ryu made his comment on how striking the rocks could cause an even bigger problem. "You`re probably right we should just..." Then Silversteamdramon-T heard that drill again behind them. It turned and saw a purple, mole-like digimon drilling it`s way throught the rocks into the place were they were with the drills on it`s nose and claws. "Who are you? What are you doing in my home?" the mole asked, angry. Its voice reassembled someone who had caught a cold. "We were trying to rest. My name is Silversteamdramon-T and my human partner is Elson. This is Ryu and his partner is Takahiro. Please, we didn`t know this was your home, you didn`t have to trap us ..." "I trapped you? Oh my god, I`m so sorry, I didn`t realise I...I...I..." "It`s ok, but what were you doing then?" "This isn`t just my house. It was my was my masterpiece until the tunnel collapsed.I spent months shaping that cave and well...I was about to finish when I heard some noises and digged to see what was going on." Silversteamdramon-T split again. "I`m so sorry, we didn`t want this to happen. We were just trying to find shelter, that`s all." Tinkermon tried to Comfort the digimon "What`s your name?" "It`s ok. My name is Drimogemon. I was just trying to do something big, you know give myself a meaning..." the digimon replied "Everyone has a meaning. You could, you could start by helping us. Can you open our way through those rocks?" "It`s going to be tricky. Those can only be opened from several points at once, or they will colapse."
"I may have the solution for that if you let me Drimogemon." Elson shouted from behind the rocks. He had been listening to the whole conversation. "Silversteamdramon! Drimogemon! Digi-fuse!" "Silversteamdramon-D!" Combination shouted. As the rocks were removed, Elson gained access to the sight of the fusion. It looked like a slightly bigger Silversteamdramon filled with holes from which several drills were coming out of and one larger drill on it`s right hand, which reassembled Drimogemon. |

It was amazing. From his not-so comfortable position on the cave floor; Takahiro could see how Elson effortlessly handled the situation. He was too far from the collapsed tunnel the digimon were in to hear them speak, but he could hear Elson shout some orders. It didn't take long for an upgraded version of Silversteamdramon to drill through the rocks separating the humans from the digimon. Ryu crawled out of the hole the newly fused digimon had just made. "I'm not doing anything like that again."
Takahiro smiled, but quickly retracted it as his slight move towards his partner caused his arm to hurt again. "Is something wrong, Taka?" Ryu asked, noticing his tamer's current facial expression. "Isn't it obvious from me laying here on the ground? The fall has dislocated my left shoulder. Which reminds me, could I maybe get some help here?" Takahiro shouted, his voice echoing through the tunnels and caves.
"We also need to get out of here, but I have a feeling Silversteamdramon can take care of that," Ryu asked, probing the walls with his eyes for a ray of light indicating what used to be the exit to the cave. "Over there!" The Ryudamon pointed at a large bundle of light coming from somewhere high up on one of the walls. It seemed the latest collapse didn't just separate the digimon from the humans and remove the initial entrance's floor, it also shook the rest of the structure, causing the entrance to collapse.

"Sure I can." Silversteamdramon-D commented before beggining to drill they`re way up. "Tinkermon, watch Silversteamdramon-D`s back and see if no boulders fall on us from the digging, this work will take some care." Elson said before kneeling and grabbing his friend with both his arms. "Come Ryu we have to carry Takahiro. And we should do it together, to prevent any further injuries. I have seen peoples from the ambulances doing it that way, there must be a reason..." Lifting they Takahrio, they began to move out. Every now and then a Boulder fell and Tinkermon defleted it with her spear while Silversteamdramon-D kept digging. With all this team work they managed to arrive at the surfasse in nearly no time. Once there, Elson put Takahiro back down and Tinkermon flyed away for someting they could use to help his arm. The fusion split, leaving drimogemon and Silversteamdramon both staring at Elson. "I`m so sorry, I..." Drimogemon began "Don`t be. This was a disaster, but it is kind off our fault as well. And besides you helped us solve the problema, so don`t worry. It`s us that owe you. And I have an offer." Elson replied "Really?" "Yeah. Join my team. It comes with shelter, protection if you help us fighting too, food if we can find it and what you seeked back there: function. A reason to be. You will have it. And it will be to help pull us out of tricky scenarios like this one." "Wow, thanks..." "No problem. Right now we have to attend to Takahiro however. " "I had an idea. Not too long ago some other adventurers buried some medicine not too far away from here. I found them and now they are in my tunnels." "Then go and get them, if they can help Takahiro. In the meantime, I have to ask you two something... You see, there is this guy, a general like me named Jackson. He has a digimon named Shortmon. He is a nice person and an even better cook. But we got separated when the whamon we were in got cazy..." The mole began to dig underground to find the medice. |
