A Lifetime of Service [Digi-Mental Hunt][open]

The village of beginnings was a wonderful place filled with joy and wonder for many. But Prophetmon kept having this strange familiar feeling. There was something close by...Something unseen and powerfull. He would have find what it was. What it could mean.
Following the sensation like a dog follows the smell, Prophetmon began to search, with numberous recently hatched digimon staring at him in wonder. He had to keep, searching however, he felt something importante was related to it, even thought he had no idea what it was. He knew this would appear to be madness most likely, but then again, madness was a trait many arledy accused him of having. He could live with it.
As he searched he noticed two figures falling, no, landing from the sky. He could tell one of them was human. The digimon was likely the human`s partner. After the landing, it de-volved back to what he guessed was his rookie form. Prophetmon decided to welcome them to the village of beginnings, since it's protector hadn't yet appeared.
"Greetings, travelers, and welcome to the village of beginnings. What is it you seek?" Prophetmon greeted, bowing. "I hope you two come in peace and even if you don`t just look at those tiny digimon over there and I assure you any harm you would want to cause will be dismissed."

Prophetmon was glad that they came in peace. And if they knew the guardian of that village, then there was no need to introduce them to anything there, as they probably still recalled the village. Once more he bowed.

"My name is Prophetmon. I have come here to seek the village of my birth and find peace for my spirit. I`m sorry if I seemed rude or something of that kind, but these children gave me the closest thing I had to hope in a long time. I hope you understand. But we can walk together if that does not disturb you. Afterall we are both visitors to this village and I heard turists should stick together in groups, thought my days have led me to a different, more lonely path. You may have had recent adventures in this world. Please tell me about them as we walk. I`m sure the children would love to hear of the world that will one day be their`s." Prophetmon introduced, laughting a bit in the middle of it.

Then he turned and began to walk, slowly, so that the curious children might hear the stories Megan and Kami might have for them, if they were willing to share.

"Oh, and I almost forgot..." Prophetmon commented "I sensed a strange and powerfull presence here today, in fact I still do. Any idea what it may be?"

He had to ask. If anyone knew, he had to take the chance to do too. The affairs he gotten himself into required him to know of the powers of the digital world, or else...

The children seemed disappointed that Megan and Kami had no stories for them. Maybe Prophetmon should try telling them about something. He tried to recall any good, recent adventures he might have had, but it was no use. Between thee disaster many of his warnings had been and the painfull visions, the children were most likely to simply never leave the village or cease to have nightmares if he told them anything of it.

The possibilities suggested by Megan were many, but Prophetmon had a hard time believing it was simply assossiated with a powerfull digimon. Still, so much had happened, that not believing was becoming irrelevante to acting according to it.

"Perhaps we should go ask the Cherrymon. You told me you and him are friends, so he should answer this question in case he knows how." Prophetmon said, before taking another glance at the human`s partner. Instead of talking it kept gesturing "Is your partner death or something? Can`t she speak?"

Prophetmon hoped he was not getting into anything he shouldn`t, yet, he felt curious. A digimon who couldn`t speak, would it be possible for suchh digimon to become partners with humans who do speak? For some reason it seemed in very least complicated to Prophetmon. Still, strange things could happen, he was a walking proof of that.

(OOC: The power he senses is actually an old temple dedicated to the stars, buried beneath the village of beginnings. This temples and their surroundings are the only place where the "stars" can take up a physical form in the digital world.

The "stars" have deliberatly used the data of a satellite to make Prophetmon (at that time a Kapurimon) able to listen to them. This is the reason he is the one who can receive their visions, etc... it is highly unlikely that any other digimon would be able to sense the power of temple, because it is directly connected to the one of the "stars" and it is blocked unless they come to the digital world)

Prophetmon was suprised by the reply he received. He look over at Kami.

"I see... I`m sorry about my mistake,I`m afraid you not talking led me to some...confusion. But if the children know where the cherrymon is, then I agree we should follow them." Prophetmon excused himself.

The children were clearly eager. They almost moved too fast for Prophetmon, Megan and Kami to keep up. As they walked, no, ran after the children they could see several more eggs hatching all around them, tiny digimon leaving those shells and joining the group forming ahead of them. Here and there, eggs were also beggining to form out of raw data floating in the wind.

"It`s a cycle." Prophetmon commented "Death and Life come together to the digimon. When one dies, it returns for a different life, but when one lives, he dies eventually. I believe you know of this arledy, but to take it into account...it`s a burden. To look at these children and feel their hope, their happiness is wonderful, but knowing that so many digimon had to die horribly and that it was those deaths that led to the very existance of these children and even us....it`s painfull."

Not too much later, they saw the cherrymon. There standing, surrounded by an enormous crowd of children, this guardian had to be of the friendly type.

"Greetings, my name Prophetmon. I believe you arledy met Megan and Kami here, since they tell me in fact that you and them are friends. I need to ask you about something, if you would allow me." Prophetmon greeted, bowing.

(OOC: I believe you should have control of Cherrymon, since your characters met him before.)

Megan`s words were touching. Prophetmon felt a spark of joy, but it was replaced with sorrow. For human life.

"I`m sorry. I had forgotten that humans do not have this advantage of ours. Please forgive me, if my words of death caused you any pain." He said, still going after the children.

After they`re encounter with Cherrymon, he greeted him as an old friend. Shame flowed through Prophetmon, for the way he left the village wasn`t the one of a friend, but a rather much more shamefull manner. The cherrymon was also polite by asking the other digimon and his partner. Then it turned it`s attention towards Prophetmon and his question.

"There is no need to apologize you caused no harm. You see, I felt, no, I am feeling a strange power emanaiting from this place, one which I had never felt before, except in one given  time: My visions. Only in the visions from the stars did I ever feel this kind of power, of influence. My new friends tell me they do not feel this power I speak of. I have a theory, but first I need to ask...do you know what this power might be?" Prophetmon asked.

Prophetmon was not suprised that to be asked aout the visions he received. Afterall, if he was the only one that could receive them, why wouldn`t others be confused upon their mentioning.

"My first vision happened shortly after my evolution to Prophetmon. As Collectdramon I arledy could hear the stars, but only hardly, barely noticing any words, except the pain. I learned since then. The visions are given to me by the stars, and if my theory is correct, that is the power I feel. The stars were once digimon. They protected the digital world the best they could. They were the first version of what we today call "Royal Knights". But they lacked power. They sought a way to become undending and powerfull enought to protect the digital world. One of them found that power and they all took it, but there were consequences: the power was so great, they could no longer exist in the digital world. They had to leave, and only in kind of place could they ever appear here in the digital world: on  their temples. There may be one close by, thought I have never seen one and therefore do not know what they appear to be. I am the only one capable of hearing the stars when they speak, so maybe I am also the only one capable of feeling the immense power they have emanaiting from the temples... Being the only one capable of listening, I was the one who had to spread their message: of a rising evil who seeks to consume the digital world itself. I wandered the digital world, seeking heroes to help fight the evil. So far only one of it`s sprouts has been faced. It has many more and they all consume the digital world, slowly, angrily. I was now allowed a small period of time to rest." Prophetmon explained.  He paused for a moment."I will look for the temple, if I have the permission to do so, Cherrymon..."
